Opposition UPND vice president for politics Canicius Banda says it is a mockery to the Zambian people for republican vice president Guy Scott to ask that the PF government be given 10 years more to develop the country further.

On Saturday yesterday, during the Chikwela Makuumbi traditional ceremony of the Soli people of Chongwe District, Dr. Scot observed that the PF government has scored more significant infrastructure development in the country but that more has to be done the more reason the people of Zambia should give the PF government 10 years more.

But Dr. Banda has told Qfm News by telephone that giving the PF government 10 years to govern the country is asking for more suffering.

He says this is because people of Zambia have allegedly become poorer than before in the last three years PF government has been governing the country.

Dr. Banda says he does not think that Zambians should be made to suffer when they live in a well resourced country.

He notes his party is of the thought that Zambia is failing to progress today because of alleged poor leadership on the part of the PF government.

The UPND vice president has stated that fact that Zambia has marked its Jubilee this year, the country needs a new breed of leaders with good leadership, good governance and good economic plans.

He says with such leadership qualities he believes the people of Zambia cannot suffer they way they are allegedly suffering under the PF government.

Dr. Banda has named his party as the one that has such qualities which therefore should prompt the people of Zambia to exercise their rights in 2016 to bring in a new government that of the UPND.

  1. BA BANDA PAMENSO KWATI BUSHIKU, ZAMBIANS NEED INFRASTRUCTURE, THEREFORE, PF SHOULD CONTINUE THE LAYING OF INFRASTRUCTURE FOR REAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. IN FACT EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS IF PF IS DOING FINE THEY SHOULD CONTINUE.

    • Those PFools, why think just 10years and not 50years? People will vote infinitely for any good government.
I think Scottish is asking 10 years for BaSata.

    • only in Zambia can a beneficially of colonial privileges be the Chief jubilant for the country’s 50 years of independence. Scott has racists tendencies and surely this can not be allowed to continue. He views this country with the same colonialist spectacles he wore when he was 20 years at Zambia’s independence in 1964

    • From Roads Inftrastructure developmwnt under the PF,UPND will develop Cattle Ranching with the Ing’ombe Ilede Economics.

  2. Dr Banda PF won elections without UPND and your votes believ me PF is at 71% and share 29% lastly multiply what PF has done in 3 years by 5 tell me how zambia would be.

  3. What the people of Zambia must know is that the so called infrastructure development by Scott is on borrowed euro-bond which was corruptly shared within PF members through shoddy contracts but this loan will be paid back by every zambian. Moreover most of these shoddy road works have been either abandoned or chinesely done & mostly are in Muchinga province then we say one zambia one nation! My clarion call is to Fred Mmembe & his Post to once again salvage might Zambia from the jaws of the Bemba clique under MASTER-MINDER OF ALL LAIRS UKWA- SATA as he fearlesly did from the jaws of Cry Baby RB & DORA!

  4. what 10 years more? what a plonker LOL; the PF has put Zambia in bondage with all the money borrowed and have squarndered it in 3 years.

    • Kubweka being in debt as a country does not mean bondage… no bailiffs will ever come and collect on Zambia because of debt… in fact all developed countries – those who are doing very well developmentally have more debt, by volume, per capital and by GDP than Zambia has, or ever had, e.g most of Europe, USA, Japan etc. So its ignorance to think that sovereign debt is bondage. In fact the ability to get sovereign debt is highly regarded in developmental economics… wa telela!

  5. How can PF stop being Bemba party if you cant join them? Who do you want to develope your area if you dont want to be part of Govt? where do you want the govt to get money when HH and others sold companies? which zambian company is doing beta than chinese? why cant we borrow if we have capacity to pay back?

  6. In the politics, no one wins alone and on one loses alone. We all win or we all lose. There is no shop for PF or UPND cadres alone. We all drive, walk or even run on the same roads. We all buy fuel at the same pump price. Whatever is good is for all of us and whatever is bad is for all of us. Wage/employment freeze is for all of us and the loan will be paid by all of us. The benefits is for all of us too.

  7. Just ask for your own Vote Mr Banda!!! why the f**k do have to make statement about irrelevant utterances!! it a politicians Job to ask for a vote and the electorates to award that vote when they feel like. Go and ask for your own vote to A** H**e!!

  8. Was Father Chibuluma mocking Zambians when he praised government, at THANKS GIVING SERVICE HELD AT THE CATHEDRAL OF THE HOLY CROSS IN LUSAKA YESTERDAY TO MARK ZAMBIA’S 50TH INDEPENDENCE for the various developmental projects currently being undertaken countrywide and scolded at people criticizing the massive development?

  9. Can HH tell his vice-president to clean up, please. Banda looks dirty, almost like a homeless psychiatric case. Why can’t he shave, trim his afro, and look smart? The last time I saw him he had his shirt tucked one side, the other side hanging uncouthly around…and the shirt was dirty. How can you win people’s confidence when you looking that scruffy! HH should be careful, may be this Banda chap is deliberately looking scruffy to chase voters from UPND – he could be a paid mole, and I would not be surprised.

  10. Luapula you Northerners are bankrupting our country, those developmental projects are like a bondage if poor Zambians think projects is all they need with no jobs, sacrificing all our entitlements, no education, they will wake up to a rude awakening, those projects will mean nothing when nothing is being done to improve well being of the people, Scott has to give other better reasons than just projects, people won’t live on projects alone

  11. PF programs are working very well. Here I am referring to the establishment of new public universities. These include Robert Kapasa Makasa University, Paul Mushindo University, King Lewanika University, Palabana University, Kwameh Nkuruma University, Levi mwanawasa Copperbelt University, etc. It was wrong for previous governments to build two public universities in 50 years of independence. Similarly, new districts ought to bring social services and amenities close to the people. These include health centers, clinics, hospitals, schools, council offices, etc. Disrupting the new projects would be suicidal. Hence, the call for an additional 10 years. It is not mockery. It is founded on rational thinking and responsible leadership.

    • Paul Mushindo University indeed. I would never send my child to University of Insult! I can’t imagine my son coming home with a Paul Mushindo University Degree and hang it in my house! This University will keep away the lenjes,Solis,Kaondes,Lambas, lalas, Toka leya, Tongas and other similar tribes. Mushindo in these launguages means ANUS.

  12. @china

    Did you read my article?
I surely did not talk about what Scott said but what everyone including Fr Chibuluma is saying in Zambia today?

Please help me to unlock your brains, by explaining
Why the world is today is linking the outbreak of EBOLA to underdeveloped infrastructure in our Africa?
Why you think poverty stricken Eastern Europe shall not have Ebola because of their developed infrastructure?

  13. Long live PF- May God bless you . I have been longing for the sensible government that will modernize Zambia. Even in death, I will encourage others to vote for you! God bless Mr Sata and his guys

  14. @Dr. Makasa Kasonde (Private Citizen) naimwe!

Why are you talking about 10years?

If this PF government carries on with their infrastructure development programmes, Luapula is ready to start making arrangements for centenary (100yrs) celebrations.

  15. Comrade Banda, governing a country is not easy. All of you politicians promise us mountains when you are soliciting for votes but once in power, your number one priority is to fill your pockets with loot. What are you going to give us if not more problems in a different way? It is better togive PF whom we know more years than to bring in a devil we dont know. At least they have shwn a political will to make nfrastructure. Let us give hem a chanceto finish what they are doing first then maybe we will consider you. Changing governments often is equally expensive.

  16. I attended my last days of primary school, and all five years of secondary school in Chama, Muchinga. The face of Chama has completely changed since I last visited in 2001. There actually is a road there, and streets are developing. This is a dream MMD never cherished.

I read KK’s development dream for Zambia, and only Sata has resumed it. Sata is not promising heaven on earth as was the case then, but he is simply building that dream silently…Perhaps that is the reason these good for nothing criers are always promising and building castles in the air.

Let the Zambians decide in 2016. For now leave Sata alone. Wise democrats will have to wait until the right time comes, and that is 2016.
