    • Why were these cattle not in a barn or shelter during the storm?! I blame the owner!!

Many livestock are killed each year by lightning strikes all over the world …when it happens in primitive Africa the savages think it has to do with their enemies WITCHCRAFT!! tsk…tsk…

    • In Zambia most of you believe in bullcrap like witchdocotrs and nigerian miracles…

      TE KU LUAPULA KWEKA!!

Lightning is a powerful force of nature, but few truly understand exactly what it is.
Lightning is electricity that is discharged from a cloud.

  2. First of all, it’s lightning, LT. Second, what a devastating loss! Even if you can make a huge braii and a lot of biltong out of this the magnitude of the loss is unimaginable. Glad no human life was lost.

    • But remember to vote for me above, you will be part of deciding if the award I will scoop can be shared to those affected with that lightening ya mu October.

  3. This is a great loss, seriously. 25 cows is a lot of wealth, whichever way one looks at it.
Muzilipila nkongole. Kalabo, Mununga, and another place in North-Western province I hear these three places are very far ahead in terms of advancement in witchcraft physics. Sikwamasebela. When you are there behave.

I would just encourage our witches and wizards to call a national physics conference, like the conference in quantum witchcraft that was help by Satanists in Tanzania a few years ago. They should put all this science into useful practice to tackle things like terrorism, right now they would have sorted out Boko Haram. May be they could even win the Nobel Prize in Witchcraft Science. If they keep being this destructive just lock them up and throw away the key.

  4. ONLY HALF THE GOLDEN JUBILEE COWS KILLED? BRING THE MEAT TO HEROES STADIUM, WE NEED MORE MEAT 25 COWS NOT ENOUGH HOPE BY FRIDAY MORE WILL BE STRUCK

  5. 25 herds of cattle? What a loss, especially without a cold room nearby to preserve the carcasses for later consumption.
And that’s one huge thunder bolt worth investigating by National Scientific Research people. We are talking a billion volts plus here. A few unanswered questions:- Did the ground (sand mostly I guess) melt and form a glassy object? What specifically attracted lighting to strike with such intensity in that area? Is it a sign that there is a considerable quantity of minerals in the ground e.g. salt or iron?
This could be God’s way of pointing us to other untapped minerals underground because he has noticed we are too blinded and in a state of paralysis with our Copper.

    • What usually happens is that livestock often huddle together under a large tree during a thunderstorm, which we know is one of the worst places to be. There are numerous cases of ranchers finding two or more cows or horses dead under a tree after a thunderstorm.

53 cattle were killed by lightning in Katosi, Uganda

    • Ubututu!!!

Know your local weather patterns ba mbuli… even monkeys have more brains than believing in that lightening has something to do with bullcrap like witchcraft!

  6. The largest recorded number of livestock killed by a single bolt of lightning is 68.

The Jersey cows were sheltering under a tree at Warwick Marks’ dairy farm near Dorrigo, New South Wales, Australia, on 31 October 2005.

A further three were paralyzed for a few hours, but later recovered.
