Power, Nkana face off in Kitwe derby

Share

Power Dynamos are tageting a win against their sworn rivals Nkana in the big Kitwe derby at Arthur Davies Stadium on Sunday as they seek to stay in contention to win the FAZ Super League title.

Outgoing champions Nkana who are out of the race could spoil Power’s title aspirations in this delayed round 28 match in Kitwe.

Power go into this game placed second on the table with 54 points, just one behind leaders Zesco, while Nkana are fourth with 46 points after 27 games played.

This is the third and final Kitwe derby of the 2014 season involving Power and Nkana.

Tanant Chilumba’s Power are yet to beat Nkana this season from two previous meetings after drawing 1-1 away in Wusakile in a league game in May before losing 2-0 in a Barclays Cup quarterfinal in September.

Both camps have been quiet in the build up to this derby that divides Kitwe town into two.
