  1. Interesting pic. I wonder what was going through both these old madalas at this moment considering that chikwanda was not too long ago saying Scott is a desperate me.

    • If Guy Scott wants to enjoy his job in peace he should be, he should far away from Mmembe and his cartel, other wise trouble will start within PF and people will demand Lungu takes over. Remember Guy Scott got the job by consensus because Bemba clique allowed it.

    • To be honest appointing Guy Scott is like coming out of one disaster and getting into another huge disaster head first. The fact that he is an ally of the Mmembe cartel, should be a huge cause for serious concern.

After the morning period, knives will come out within PF ranks as they try to jostle for the one to take over the PF presidency.

Had PF listened to Changala, to institute a medical board when Sata was still alive, he would have appointed some one or blessed some one to take over PF presidency and avoid this impending constitutional crisis.

      Wapya munzi ……………

    • What waste of resources first we need a commission of inquiry to establish why a person who was dispensing his duties and enjoying good health according to katema , kapeya and scott his suddenly died after a medical check up in UK. Did they lowa him?
Next we need to establish to what extent scott and co knew about Sata’ s illness to ascertain whether perjury was committed when they told parliament that the head of state is fine.
This then will reveal the lies the acting president has been peddling in the August house.
Then lay grounds to charge them!!!

    • we are all just fresh and blood,,, nobodý is super human, let all those asprising for presidency not to rejoice in other people`s death,, learn from Sata

    • President Scott, first white African President since apartheid. Let him stand for president, the man is as Zambian as the rest of you loafers!

    • GUY SCOTT HAS NEVER BEEN DESPERATE IN THIS PF GOVT WHILE A NUMBER OF MINISTERS HAVE BEEN. GUY SCOTT IS ONE OF THE FEW CALM LEADERS IN ZAMBIA WHO DOES NOT EVEN COMMENT ON WHATEVER ANYONE TALKS ABOUT HIM WHETHER IN PRIVATE OR PUBLIC. HE JUST GETS ON WITH HIS WORK WHILE OTHERS HAVE BEEN JOSTLING FOR PRESIDENCY. HE IS A GREAT GUY AND SO FIT TO BE ZAMBIA’S NEXT PRESIDENT.

    • Some people forget like chickens. Guy Scott insulted southerners when his political life felt threatened. Now the Bembas will soon hate him because of Mmembe.

    • May your soul rest in peace Baba Wathu HE President MC Sata!!! Man of Action!

Zambians, lets make history by voting in HE President Guy Scott! This will put us on the map and hence good for our own economy! This will be the greatest gift we can give to our dear departed Great Leader!

Welcome on board Baba Wathu HE President Guy Scott!

You are as Zambian as everyone of us! That’s why our dear departed Great Leader loved you so, and maintained you as his and our Vice President!

Think about this, before you respond negatively!

    • @Ndobo, did you receive message that we need petition LT to postponed LT Best Blogger Awards.
We can’t do this without Sata, me and 2 other candidates got popular because of Ba Sata, and I don’t want to be awarded over death of great man. Anyway, you put it better, above.

  2. Condolences to MCS family on their loss. Its Tragic. As for this statement, MISA Zambia should not lie MCS did not contribute to media freedom. It suffered. Yes everyone has some failing but there is no need to lie. Let us be sorrowful in his death and give him a respectful burial.
    Regards

  3. MHSRIP … Condolences to the first family. Rest In Eternal Peace, MCS … Rest In Peace, we miss you dearly!!!

  4. ftj persecuted his predicessor and he died before him,lpm persecuted his predicessor and he died before him,mcs persecuted his predicessor and has died before him.

    • Cartel this Cartel that! I am so sick of Fred this Fred that! If you have nothing original to say TUHS UP! — You are turning Fred into a demigod and be careful what you wish for!

  5. It would be nice if the govt can now explain to the Zambians why Sata’s deteriorated health was kept a secret? Govt officials, Sata’s wife, his children(Mulenga Sata), Vice-President Guy all said Sata was fit as a fiddle and discharging his official functions dutifully. Why was it so necessary to resort to gross lies like this? Sata plainly looked a dead man walking but all insisted he was fine, WHY?

    • Iwe even LPM’s death took some time to be confirmed by GRZ. You don’t toy around with a Presidents health. Don’t be misled by power hungry opposition. Even themselves wouldn’t want to reveal their ailments just like that. It is me a simple villager whose well-being has no meaning.

    • @Deja Vu

I am talking about the PF and Sata’s family lying through their teeth about Sata’s health. Even now nothing is being said about the cause of death, was it a heart attack, road accident or strangled in his sleep? Remember he was fit and went overseas only for a routine checkup, suddenly he is dead.

    • imwe ba wantanshi first u a liar u are not bemba and you want to be righteous over those lying for sata. boza is boza. kekekekeke u want the truth yet you cant abide by it in small things we know u boss ati wantanshi yaba

    • @6.1 DEJA VU. FORGET ABOUT THE MAD GUY. HE STARTED READING WHEN SATA CAME TO POWER BECAUSE THAT WHEN MEDIA BECAME EXITING AND FREE TO WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING. EVEN CHIBAMBA KANYAMA SAID IT. WHEN HE WAS AT ZNBC THE ONLY INTERFERENCE HE EXPERIENCED WAS FROM SOCCER FANS AND NOT MINISTERS AND OTHER GOVT OFFICIALS. MEDIA BECAME FREER IN PF MUCH MORE THAN IN MMD.

    • @Wantanshi – You are right bro, we need to know how he died because he has been as fit as a fiddle and has been working all along so they all said. How can one go for a routine medical check-up and die in the process? We need answers.

  6. I think that all well-meaning Zambians will work with President Scott to ensure that the transition period is a peaceful one. He also has something to prove and would not want the country to descend into chaos on his watch, abeit 3 months. He has to try and win some sympathy votes for the PF by demonstrating that the country is intact and will continue to remain so.That may well put him in a very powerful position to influence the course of the general election depending on PF’s choice for a leader. He should be vigilante and really read the mood of the people and surround himself with those that will be honest about the ground situation. Otherwise, PF will have the shortest party reign in the history of Zambian politics.

    • Guy Scott is qualified to become president, going by the Chiluba v. The People Supreme Court judgment. The lacuna created by the parentage clause had effectively been closed by the said judgment. “There was no Zambia prior to October 24, 1964, and everyone present in Northern Rhodesia at independence became a Zambian”, the Honorable Court held in part.

Can they vote for him? Absolutely. He was once MP from Northern Province and is currently MP from Lusaka.

    • @Mayo mpapa, you have to admit that Guy Scott was able to become MP in North and Lusaka largely because of the tickets that he stood on. Question is, does he have national appeal? The answer to that is no. He is only appealing to a small section of the society and he also understands that. Demographics of the country matter and in politics one should be able to identify with the masses and also be seen as one of them. The day that the majority of Zambians will be able to say that they see themselves in Guy Scott, then you have a winner. Otherwise, the reality on the ground is that he does not have a national following and more than likely will not even if the constitution was changed to allow him to run.

  7. We are calm baba, only peace should prevail during this difficult period. Let us continue in unity, honoring the late president MCS.

    • @kudos
who is we?,,,how can you be calm with that skull you are playing with?,,, and stop playing with your yoyo skull when you president is dead unless you know something evil about his death

    • @kudos

You must the mfwiti (wizard) who killed Sata and you are waiting for burial so you can go and exhume him and eat him.

Such skulls symbolise mfwiti in African tradition.

    • Ndobo and wanzelu my friends, there’s nothing to do with mfwiti this or that. Read about Homo Sapiens on the internet and you will discover that that skull is just as much a part of me as it is yours. Ndobo by “we” I mean true, well-meaning Zambians. So if you’re not Zambian or N. Rhodesian tough luck for you brother, I now understand why your unZambian hatred for our King Cobra. And something tells me wanzelu is a tribal author from watchdog sh.t. Your (HH) slept easy for the first time last night. mason.

  8. There are things we have no control over, death is one of them. Rest in peace Mr Sata your excellence. The Helper the holy spirit we ask and pray that you comfort the family.

    Let it be well… AMEN

  9. Is it just me or what who feels a sense of relief. This is the best thing that ever happened to Zambia. I feel like our nation can now move forward. Somewhat. After 90 days.
MISA stop the BS naming the IBA was one way of creating more jobs for SATA’s peeps. Tonight I will be on Jack Daniels for sure

    • NO!!! @Choma manure, its not just you!! Its EVERY Hakaindean who is (miopically) it is ‘hh’s time. Sadly, every sensible being is looking at the bigot with disdain, as a man who has been crouching to pounce at galloping Zambia at an opportune time! Alas! He created impassioned dislike from majority Zambians. Don’t insult me yet, coz I will have enough time to look into your downcast face after the election.

  10. @1.2. Wanzelu …..!!! Its God who has allowed ALL THIS NO TONGA or BEMBA has allowed.
    God is so gracious !!

I like mai Guy ! Just look at the dressing of the occassion. He is putting on a ‘Black tie’.
We cant go wrong with mai Guy at the helm of Leadership

  11. Guys, is it me or what. When we lost our national team in 93, Mwanawasa in 2012 and ba Dennis Liwewe , I felt bad, my ten year old boy and my 28 year old daughter cried with me.Now that Sata has died I don’t feel anything-I mean no sorrow or sympathy my family felt for the above mentioned. Imagine my son entering the house rubbing is hands with glee in a’your barry” style with a smile on his face telling me about the death of Sata and thereafter he went to play that son “this girls ain’t loyal”

    • My guy … wait with your family, you will feel it. when something bad happens and you dont feel anything, its an indication of bitter moments to follow. Better keep quite than rejoice on someone’s grave.

      Best of luck

  12. Wynter Kabimba was quoted in the Post newspaper saying “this is not lazing time”.I just wonder what he meant.

  13. Funny that last month the Scottish folks tried and failed to have an independent country to govern. Now they’ve succeeded with Dr Scott as president of Zambia.

  14. At long last, a chance to undo the 2011 presidential election results. Zambians have seen the “donchi kubeba,” the “more money in your pockets in 90 days,” the “constitution in 90 days,” etc. At least, there should be no guess work when the polling stations will re-open again in January, 2015.

    • This time, donchi kubeba of the PF lies will NOT wash.

Sata pulled through the 201 using down right damned lies.

He goes into the grave as the biggest crook and conman that will visit this land. He lied and lied through those rotten teeth and got to the top only to be crop by the gods for his life of damned lies. He had no shame.

Some may not like this but it is the truth.

Sata man mocked LPM and FTJ. Today he too is gone.

This should be a lesson to all mortals to live in kindness, love and humility.

  15. A loss of a father is a difficult thing to get through, Your Excellency Michael sir you were the foundation we stood on, you spoke frankly and told these cretins even those within PF the truth..you cared about Zambians more than any other leadersr since KK, you honored KK despite the things he said and did to you and your own father but you understood and forgave him for that and even went on to honour the old man, truelly sir heaven is keeping a seat for you to sit besides our Lord. You will be missed bashi Chilufya. With tears in my and many other eyes MYSRIEP.

  16. Christine kateba as a medical doctor, why didn’t she advise her husband to step down? She kept telling us he was well and went out every day officiating functions and getting awards for “hard working” at the expense of her husband’s health. This death could have surely been avoided but not like with the minister of health like the one that we have. I lost trust in our Zambian doctors, the board that was appointed to look into the health of the president, gave a “medical report” that he was fit to execute presidential duties? I know we are mourning and I am too, but these are questions we have been asking ever since. MHSRIP

  17. Serikali ya wezi, wafisadi ,watu wa dharau na matusi imekwisha.Asante mungu baba. Lets hope the era of donchi kubeba lies is over.

  18. Guy Scott become Zambian the day all Zambians became one – October 24, 1964. The colour of his skin could be blue, red or yellow for I care! Zambians should be proud that even in circumstances such as these, the rule of law prevails.

  19. Its with great sadness to learn of the passing of the great leader who fought hard to ensure that local hospital should be developed and that no political leaders should be flown court for medical treatment outside the country. The great leader himself must be surprised to have passed on in a foreign land leaving the poor of Zed to cover the cost.

This PF government should be taken to task for perjury at the highest level of office. The laid to the pipo through and through. The acting president to date did not see fit to tell his employers the Zed pipo the truth. I guess he will be facing a summary dismissal without benefits.

The employers of politician need to learn and help transform this rich beloved country to prosperity through peace and uplift the lives of the poor Zeds…

  20. @Wanzelu, who cares if Scot insults the people of Southern Province? Didnt he just say the truth about the people of Southern Province. Only the truth hurts.

  21. May President Sata’s Soul Rest in Peace and sincere condolences to his family. Zambia has been a very Peaceful and Civil Country since Independence. Zambians have endured their fair share of trials and tribulations under each President, fortunately due to patience and perseverance of all Zambians we have remained a united and peaceful people. I Pray that under the guidance of President Dr Guy Scott and all other wise Zambians a smooth transition will take place as it has before. One Zambia, One Nation!

  22. Folks,

I hope you guys step back and think wisely before voting. You need a man or woman who has a vision to transform Zambia from a third world to a second world country. You also need a non partisan person with a heart for Zambians as his core focus. If I check through people around, I can’t see anyone from the current politicians who meets this criteria. This means that we need fresh minded people to join politics. Forget the old folks who are just there to fulfil their personal goals.

We need a revolution involving the young and the educated to step up and take Zambia forward. In other words, us people from the Diaspora, working class in Zambia, Students and academics to join hands and trigger this objective and real transformation.

Folks, this is all we need otherwise Zambia…

  23. Remember! When you start lying you must continue up to the time when you die. You must continue to cover up each and every lie you told before…….Fit and working and eventually goes for a routine medical check up…….You see now, who should answer these questions? George Chellar was even violet when asked about the heath of the president. Why George? You see now my brother!!!!

  24. I have to hang my head in shame that at 50 we have gone full circle and have a white man at the helm of the fatherland. Those who died to liberate this country from the colonialist must turn in their graves. we are a butt of many delegatory jokes on the continent.

It can not be imagined that a black will ever act as Prime Minister in the United Kindgom!! What have we gone and done? Out of the 14 Million strong Zambians we could not find an indigenous man to lead the country over the 90 days ahead?

What a docile nation! we think we are hospitable and nice people, when in privacy most of the white people laugh at us being such a stupid people. Harry Nkumbula said something stoic and profound about a white man, so did Kapwepwe! zambia must wake up and smell the coffe

    • Why do you think white people laugh at you? They only would if you dispensed with protocol, that is refused to let the vice president do his duty for a mere ninety days simply because he has the wrong skin color.

the prime minister of Great Britain may not be black but the president of America is.
