  1. This is so bad

Why not make 2 months National mourning like in Gabon and most western African countries

This news will not be received well by most zambians

That is if he has passed on

    I really miss him

    MHSRIP
    Thanks

    • Alternatively the national mourning should go with him for his infamous ninety days so that there are no campaigns during this time to catch the opposition napping on the voting day!!

    • So Mushota my man, you spend the whole day blogging on every LT story? What a waste you are my friend. I can only imagine how much time you spend blogging on LT, watchdog et al. I wish I had that much time my friend. Do not waste your life, its not funny! Get a life!

    • FOURTEEN

14 days since he passed on he is barred

He came to power on 23 September if you add those numbers they (23/09) they give you 14

He was 77 if you add those 2 numbers they give you 14

He won the election by scooping 43.7% if you add those numbers they give you 14

When he lost his election to Mwanawasa he polled 29.3%. which when you add they give you 14

He died in 14 (Year 2014)

Is this a coincidence? Are the spirits telling us something? In 14 days’ time
After this burial I know what will happen

      Thanks

    • The country needs to move on. We can’t neglect everything to wallow in self pity.

The rest of you make sure you have life insurance and serving for your children’s education. Put down that Mosi and cigarette, you will be amazed at how much extra money you will have.

    • Why so many days, is it because of building the memorial site?
But please don’t take him around the country, province to province like Mwanawasa. Kubachusha.

    • @Nostadamus
where are you? i have been tying your number,,, are you meeting ba Chikwanda and the group ku UK?, Me, am headed for home, i will be ex-acting president ba Eddie Lungu,

Please @Nostradamus if you meet @ Soulosi ku UK, plse do your best to confort him, lets support each other in these trying times

    • @ Mushota

iwe ka Mushota you can find a link in anything once you look for it. For example when you die, we shall say you were a Moron, Uneducated, Silly, Hermaphrodite Obnoxious Twit of an Arsehole. If you combine the first letters of the key words you get? MUSHOTA, coincidence? Are the spirits telling us something?

    • Ba Guy ba Mushota, we know you. Ichindikenifye. I will disclose your name sooner than later. We mwaume wa bupuba. Get a life my man.

    • @Ndobo,
Saulosi is devastated, I hope he is eating. I can’t reach him on phone either.
When are you visiting ku malilo? Friday night kulala pa malilo gentlemen, not pa ma computers. Since the manda is been done by pros, then us can go and get some firewood.
Ba HH went to the ranch, hope he come back with 5 bulls.

    • Whose Mazembe is that? Who has been awarded the tender to dig the grave, instead of youth empowerment? Was it advertised, or it was single sourced to Chikwanda’s Apollo? Need answers to these questions now!

    • Sata has left a legacy of hypocrisy, deceit, cheating, corruption, tribalism, regionalism, intellectual bankruptcy, economic mismanagement, Filthy environment in streets, cadre indiscipline, nepotism, lawlessness, biased appointments, immorality,Political intolerance, corruption, haphazard planning, above all a huge debt. It will be difficult to unbundle this situation.I propose that the country reverts to its original status that existed before 1911 before a catastrophe is experienced. God has done His part,it is up to Zambians to complete the task.

    • Mushota:

You never told this forum that the president was ill and his health in danger. You always assured us followers that he was fit and busy in State House. What happen.., did you lie to us or you’re simply an empty can making the loudest noise. How can we lose a health man so suddenly? Very sad indeed, but time for reality check! This is time to build and stop finger pointing on tribe against the other. For Mushota, time to grow up and have some sanity. Zambia is bigger than any individual and we will say goodbye soon or later. Posterity should remain firm and let’s be a unit to transform the place. One need not leave a country like Zambia with great doctors to be treated elsewhere.., let’s give the men and women tools to do their jobs. And maybe this wouldn’t have happened.

    • Now those who have doubted my diagnosis of Mussota of Split personality Disorder will believe me.Just check her/his recent posting.
As for my mbuya Saulosi,I wonder if he is alive. His silence is deafening. Can someone please check UTH?

  2. This is the most sense thing PF have done.At list they will not panish the body to touring all provinces of Zambia. We better serve money for more important things.May his soul rest in peace.

  3. But lets not take the body to all provincial centres like we did to LPM, its disrespectful to do that to the president. The whole country can join in the mourning regardless of where the body is.

  4. The hero is coming and will pass through heroes stadium for the first and last time welcome home Mr. president. May god bless Zambia
    MHRIP

  5. It made sense to take the body of levy all round the country for the following reasons:

    (i) He was loved nearly in all provinces where as Sata was just beginning to build up himself. He was not yet loved in other provinces like did Mwanawasa. Believe me any attempt to take his body to all the provinces would proved an embarrassment in some provinces especially those who perceive that he supported much of his muchinga province when he came into power. Capital development yes, but look at Solwezi roads with much economic activities and Muchinga without economic activities?.

(ii) It was the first time for Zambians to witness a sitting president die. So they were anxious to see the body of a dead president.

  6. My His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace. Why is this such a big fuss anyway. He can be buried in 90 days for all we care but there is something bigger than this, The great Nation of Zambia and the future generations.

  7. Should be like the Jews and the Muslims and burry the culprit within 24 hours… he was useless alive and even more useless dead.. stop wasting money and burn the body…

  8. Zambians have false faith, For it is appointed for man to live once and thereafter face judgement. It is finished for sata he had 77 yrs to sort his mess. Frank enough sata. Is destined to Hell

  9. The Zambian culture and particularly the Bemba culture does not allow people cerebrate the death of anyone no matter how how the hate him. However, the The The Bill of Rights which is above the culture gives everyone including Bembas the Right to Freedom of Expression to celebrate the timely death of Michael Charles Mwango Chilufya Sata because his was a thorn in the fresh of all those who love peace and democracy. Michael was not peaceful, he was violent and never cherished harmony . This explains why I am jubilant to hear about his timely death and I will not attend his burial service to avoid being choked by his stinking corpse. I will instead go and enjoy myself at a chibuku tarven in Mandevu because I am not a hypocrite

  10. Mushota,
National Mourning will still continue for the requisite 30 day period all the govt is doing is bury him on the 11th as was evidenced with the last dude we lost while in office the prolonged period before we buried him put together with parading his remains countrywide just slowed down the mood in the country and had an effect on productivity which translated into negatives on our economy.
Am all for the idea of burying as soon as in humanely possible so i can begin the songolaling of my voters card to vote

    • 7 Spirits

I think it is Important to give due to MCS in whatever and how longer it takes

He was the best president we probably ever had

      Thanks

  12. Now Rahim you just exposed yourself that you are posting under two different pseudonyms or you just so good at plagiarizing?

  13. I was neither a supporter nor sympathizer of the late president Sata – His death has nonetheless really affected me ndeumfwa ichikonko seeing embassy park being prepared for his burial.

  14. May His stinking corpse rot soon and his evil spirit rest in pieces and to go hell after passing through purgatory, No mutototo, kafupa konyamulila nsimbi kumanda. Christine kaseba is a free product to grab. Everyone is free to bid.

  15. It is very very sad for the the country to be robbed the man like this one!! but thats how life is. This is the time we will see crocodile tears pretending to morn him while in their hearts just want to send him off on 11th November, so that they can show vulture mentality to eat what has remained but God on His Wisdom knows who will be our next Leader just wait and see what will happen in these few months.

  16. I didnt know that President Sata was hated that much by his friends in cabinet. Why are they in a hurry to dipose off his body(remains). Is it because he was a tribalist who appointed 75% of ministers from one region. We all know(even same who stopped school in grade 4) that luapula,Muchinga and Northern was one province before independence.I’m sure they want to finish the programme and forget about this nepotistic man.

  17. Mushota, did u say the best president? Sis! My foot! Were u his girlfriend? Sata was the most divisive and nepostic and regionalistic individual who became president by default. He sought to promote the supremacy of his northen click to the exclusion of all others. Just look at his appointments in cabinet, perm secs, parastatals, embassies, just full of one side of zambia. And u call him the best president ever? Tell me how many years were u his girlfriend? I suppose u were at his death bed as well.

  18. Zambia, land of peace and unity. Lets continue to have this kind of unity in times of hardship. Very encouraging indeed. Blogger, why use someone’s name and post stinking comments? I don’t think Nevers Mumba could send such. Anyway, whoever you are can only be ignored. The blood that flows in our veins is thicker than water, reason we always get together when invaded with trouble. God bless mother Zambia more and more.

    • But don’t you know that we have some people who have a vacuum between their two ears. Those you see using other peoples names, insulting and so on are the coward bloggers. They may also not understand the objectives of blogging, which is supposed to be a debate and intellectual arguments. But the strategy is that if you see insults , don’t even continue to read the blog.

  19. People let us stop pretending about the late president. We are in this mess as a country mostly because of him. 1. He was not a freedom fighter, he was a vigilante for the British when others were busy fighting for our independence. 2. He was with UNIP until the last day when he noticed that Kaunda was losing. He never fought for multi party democracy. 3. When Chiluba wanted the 3rd term, he was the champion of that and forced others out of the party. 4. He obtained power by false pretenses by lying to us about (a) New constitution (b) more money in our pockets (c) introduction of windfall tax (d) creation of employment (e) reduced cost of fuel (f) reduced cost of mealie meal (g) upholding of the rule of law (h) reduced cabinet (i) reduced government expenditure (j) fight corruption.

    • I couldn’t agree with you more! Walasa! It may be true that people do not generally speak ill of the dead, but I believe it’s equally appalling to eulogise someone who was as inherently corrupt as “Ukwa”. The sooner he is disposed of the better for us all ! The nation should begin the healing process. We need to move on, and hopefully, do not behave like the “Useful *****s” that most kaponyas were! Let’s vote wisely!

    • Don’t be surprise, King Cobra is and was just another snake. A snake is someone who you think is sincere and really nice, but then turns out to be a backstabber. Someone who acts like your best friend, but who actually is the opposite.
“We all know somebody who is a double-talker, a gossiper and a generally untrustworthy person. They are cruel to their enemies and even meaner to their friends – only with the friends the mean streak only comes out when their backs are turned. This type of friend is all sweetness and sugar to people’s faces but act ugly and spiteful behind their backs. We call people like this “backstabbers” because they sneak around portraying themselves as something they are not, a friend.”

  20. The law of nature demands to respect the dead and move on. water once spilt cannot be brought back . To every bad side of life there is a good. No one is in control of nature except God. God has allowed the President to be called up to him, perhaps he has completed his race and now time for the country to move on. Surely ,there are many good things you could sincerely point at done. You miss the point dear blogger. The major problem was what the President himself confessed publicly that he lacked people to push his agenda. The few committed have done there best. Lets acknowledge that fact as we see which way God is directing us next. Hope the now complainants are not those who shouted the most in 2011 for the man. Discern your ways people. God is watching Mother Zambia. Lets mourn united.

  21. Until last week when the President was about to kick the bucket we were either told that he was busy working or he had gone for a medical check up. A trail of lies that was not holding up yet we toiled everyday financing the deceit. I really don’t comprehend or appreciate any of this. I am sick to death with it.

  22. Ati two weeks for national mourning? That means he’ll be 13 days late for dinner with Margaret Thatcher & Idi Amin on the other side where they require you to be as fresh as possible.

  23. Are we now being prompted to reflect as a nation after the hectic jubilee celebrations just gone past (A reflection which we overlooked as we put up a lavish celebration). May Your Soul Rest In Eternal Peace your excellency MCS. Go well son of the soil, am sure you had your own perception of how the world should be and you did you best to make a contribution as you saw it fit. We all have our own perceptions any way.

  24. This is Zambia indeed ….no one is even asking the questions on the cause of death and how supposedly someone who went for a “routine” medical check up can die…waiting for the evidence to buried at Embassy Park. ..no wonder we repeat the selfsame mistakes.

    • He has been suffering from AIDS for several years. That’s why he kept out of the public eye. That’s why GRZ never wanted to acknowledge his illness.

  25. I share this moment of sadness with you all my Zambian brothers and sisters.
MAY HIS SOUL REST A PERFECT PEACE

  26. Bwana Sata is now singing “Don’t let the sun go down on me” by Elton John.

Incidentally Elton John also sung “the circle of life”

  27. King Cobra, king for all seasons. We will make sure that your legacy of outstanding leadership is well protected. We shall not let it fall to the hungry wolves and vicious hyenas lurking in the woods.

  28. Relatives will be at the lodge.somebody here wants to steal. Who will pay for the lodge accommodation? This is how african govts waste money , why should tax payers foot accommodation bill for every relative? If a relative wants to mourn sata he/she should come on her/his expense.

  29. They did not invite us to his illness now they want us at his funeral. If illness is a private matter, why have a State funeral?

  30. The saint you va not being personally invited to the funeral, jst continue wth your life and let other people mourn.if you so wish make it a time for celebration. Besides I va never heard people being invited for one.s sickness.mr president rest in peace.

  31. First and foremost the cabinet should be held accountable for the “supposidly” death of MCKM. They had at no time addmited of his ailments. They should put up an inqueiry for the death of the president who went for rouitine medical check up!!! After firing more than 500+ nurses why go abroad for an embarasemant of a “rouitne medical check up”? ANd Zambians re outpouring their condolences without questioning??? Very O.U.T.R.A.G.I.O.U.S.

  32. reading some of the comments above you are left to wonder how demonic most of these bloggers have become. Problem in zambia we too many children from vigololo abana bamuchende and what type of reasoning do you expect. One is even saying ‘zambia is bigger than one individual,’ we are not talking about an ordinary individual like your tuma useless fathers but the president and not just the president but an individual who tirelesly worked for mother zambia and himself. Most of you puppies who bark were young to know anything about him.

  33. May Sata’s soul rest in the infernal pit. He brought division, dishonour, tribalism and unbridled corruption to Zambia. After the Presidential elections in Jan 2015, a massive commission of enquiry must be instituted to determine how the forex reserves MMD left and proceeds from the eurobonds were squandered. Zambia has to be rebuilt from scratch.

    • Mushota, which school did you go to?Surely is 23+9=14?…but 23-9=14 ..kekekeke.
By the way why pretend as if you are in Glasgow, Scotland? That flag you’ve put there is not Scotish.Be pround to be Zambian and resident of lovely Zambia. You are within Zambia.Get a life…You are a pretender….Shame on you

  34. TOO BAD FOR THE COUNTRY WE WILL MISS A LOT OF THINGS…on the negative side: THE HIDDEN Scorch Earth types of politics that Zambia started experiencing since independence,
nepotism, regionalism, tribalism, sarcasm, arrogance, stubbornness by the sponsored cadres, vigilantism, ethnocentrism, etc. on the positive side, promotion of democratic principles through various By- elections, appointments of female police provincial chiefs all originating from one district Mpika, Eg Lombe kamukoshi, Mrs. c. Katanga, Marry Chikwanda, Maddam Kasosa etc. MYSRIIP.
