Chiyangi: beating Power Dynamos is key to 2014 title

Share

Zanaco coach Aggrey Chiyangi says beating Power Dynamos in their penultimate FAZ Super Division will boost their league title hopes.

The two sides’ Week 29 league fixture has been postponed due to the 15-day period of national mourning for the late president Michael Sata that ends on November 11.

Zanaco will later close the season with an away Lusaka derby clash against struggling Red Arrows.

Power and Zanaco are tied on 54 points and separated only on goal difference in second and third place respectively and are two points behind Zesco United.

“Both games (Power and Arrows) are not easy games they are very difficult games. The only thing is we are playing Power at our home ground so I think we will have the advantage,” Chiyangi said.

“We have to encourage our players to express themselves in the best way that we can do so that we beat Power. Because if we beat Power, it will push us into a better position.”

The sides drew 2-2 in the first leg meeting in Kitwe on June 21.

2012 champions Zanaco and 2011 winners Power are both chasing their seventh league titles.
