51 COMMENTS

    • wait, there! there will be confusion knowing PF and confusion are one,,,,, thank God it marks the end of a confusion era

    • It looks organized and well thought out. This is very strange for a party like PF. I like the respect given to Kaunda and Banda even if I think they were not good leaders. I like the inclusion of the opposition and the respect to the defense minister Lungu. I hope PF cadres do not start fights kumalilo. Sata divided the country and even left us with a constitutional mess even in death. White President and illegal acting chief justice. Cause of death still not disclosed although we know it was cancer and other complications. We can’t run away from the fact that Sata was just a bad leader. He was okay as minister, but being president is altogether another matter. I salute you all.

    • @Ndobo, something wrong there… why some of us are just bunched together as if we were not close to Ba Sata?

      Children should have been divided in gender:
      – 13 girls/ladies
      – 11 boys including Mayor of Lusaka.

    • Programme prepared by Mwaliteta and Miles Sampa, looks like voting day in Mangango. Every 5minutes of casting vote. What a messy.

    • Glad Kabimba is not on that program. We can be assured that the program will go almost as planned otherwise there was going to be the kind of violence we witnessed along airport road when Kabimba and GBM’s camps clashed leaving one person dead. Good riddance!

    • Very Funny Ever Backward. When will we change?? Arrival- arrival- arrival?? Waste of resources as all those might be arriving in their lavish vehicles?? Can’t people just drive together?? Cause of traffic jam. Use buses if you are serious to change the economy? I hope there will be no Mwanawasa nonsense of taking the body around Zambia.

      Who is the Mayor of Lusaka? as I only read of the Deputy Mayor who is Sata’s son??

  1. Sad, Sad Sad!! I hope the jostling officials will the decency to mourn with diginity unlike these crazy stories we are hearing about causing chaos and sponsored demos. Police ought to be vigilant, seriously brutal to trouble makers and brook no nonsense

  2. i still cant believe my king cobra is gone. Its now we needed you more than ever. Oh king cobra, death has no sympathy, why did it ve to be you at this hour? Only God knows. The scar you ve left in our hearts is too huge to bear. On the local scene your death has hit me the way it did when that great son of zambia anderson kambela mazoka died. On the international scene was when former US president Ronald Reagan died.

    • This is what I mean when I say some Zambians like @tony Bliar are too gullible, too docile too passive that they believed everything the read in the state media. ..in all honesty when you saw those still pictures of Sata or that old frail man being assisted by his selfish wife up the stairs on 19/09/2014…you didnt ask questions? You believed Scott and Kaseba when they said he was fit as fiddle…really laughable indeed. This why I always state that the biggest cancer to Zambian politics is CADRES! !

  3. We do we still not learn….Why cant Everyone except the Acting president be picked up in 50 Seater buses and arrive at the same time.WE will save all the traffic, time,fuel,congestion….
    Some things we Africans will never learn….
    Too much Hype and wastage of Resources…..
    All this needs to come to an end if we want to Be like the first world..

    • True man. Surely this ignorant nonsense gotta end!!! Lots of luxury buses – Higers – around could do the job very efficiently. Africa the DARK continent wants to shine in Pajeros and Prados napamalilo

  4. The programme was prepared by a joint committee of senior civi/public, defence and security officers chaired by the Secretary to the Cabinet and NOT PF cadres. There is sanity in the public service.

    We pray that professionalism will prevail so that the ugly face of PF thugs are blotted out of this funeral. Stone age mentality out.

  5. I can only speak for myself and to put it on the record. When I die, please please dispense of any such shenanigans. I want none of it otherwise you will piss off my ghost. Just cremate my body a.s.a.p and let the living continue to enjoy their life.

  6. My advice to Zambian is not to be above the law but instead, respect the law as no one is above the law. Lastly, as for Zambian colleagues in the UK making very dangerous postings on this site, the Zamban Gov if at any time made a complaint, the UK does not tolerate crimes by its residents.

  7. You incuding myself may use fictitious names but honestly, we can not hide our Internet Provide (IP) address where our little secrets in our little minds are hidden.

    • Computer intrusion is a crime. . . The comments people post are not. Stop instilling unfounded fears into people’s heads. honestly u are uninformed.

  8. We told these clueless empty tins that continue lieing to the people about the old man’s trips abroad ie. Working holiday, wooing investors in India, medical check up etc and one day he will come back as airctaft cargo.

    • jayjay, your warped brain spares no moment to be vulgar. What kind of madnes is this? We are moarning you can continue with your cheap talk after burial.

    • I mourned Sata 5 months ago when first time I saw his photo at the Lusaka High Court. …all this is formalities are a sheer waste of time the old man has cost us a lot of taxpayer’s funds…in fact there is absolutely nothing worth talking about his leadership; only recklessness, mediocrity come to my mind.

  9. If there is a country that does not learn from the past mistakes,its Zambia.Had the PF learned one or two things from the demise of levy mwanawasa,they would have implemented the new constitution in 90 days,Guy Scott would have just been sworn in as president without holding a costly presidential by election which is going to gobble millions of kwacha.The new president should look into this matter seriously.

  10. Please guys let us mourn our hero in peace.we’ll meet @ da ballot.u think HH will win.what we want is continuity .roads works should continue.we’ll vote 4 PF.We have never seen such developmen 4 the past 25 years.PF will be united n Membe knows tht.We can’t trust UPND n MMD in govt.so please relax UPND cadres before u confort yo self.The vision of Sata should continue.

    • @Moscow(op) I agree with you totally, these cadres like deceiving themselves. They are cyber politicians and they think the have popularity, but there is no need to insult each other here. Nineth days is a very short period, We will meet in the ballot booth then we see who is who. Not the self deception going on.

  11. Is it necessary to continue insulting the man who is no longer alive to defend himself.

    I really don’t see anything or need to criticize in the program.

    Funny how much we talk living in glass houses. We are a nation of perfect people.

    • In 3 years of Sata’s rule when did he ever come on State media via a press conference and defend his policies. ..so dead or alive it makes no difference to me.

  12. If only we had chosen w?sely
    If only we had a new const?tut?on
    If only we learn from past m?stakes
    If only we are now w?ser
    MHSRIP

  13. Tenure of Office…
    KK =27
    FTJ = 10
    Levy M = 7
    RB = 3
    M Sata = 3
    Total = 50
    Zambia is at 50 indeed, another suprising coincidence.
    God Bless.

  14. @Splaka, I was equally asking the same question. This math makes no sense to me. Zambia is 50 years old and there has never been a year when we never had a president to affect the equation. Each president ruled for a particular number of years each to give a total of 50 years.

  15. In th program av not sn anywhr were it is indicatn”16:00 arrival of pf cadres” i jus pray that u guys wont b thr pan2 mwalalamfya icila. Lol

  16. Some Zambians never to cease amaze me! You can just open your mouths and say anything, at any time? Do you know what differentiates man from other animals, ‘it is our capacity to reason!’ & any rational being could realize that there is time for everything. A time like now when we need to be respectful, as cultured Zambians & mourn the late president. You can always keep your uncultured manners & say whatever after the burial.

  17. It is Unzambian to villify the dead…Lets remember the good things President Michael Sata did before and during the 3 years he presided over the affairs of the nation. No one is perfect and President Sata was a mere mortal. He could not succeed in all projects he undertook but it will be extremely uncharitable for any right thinking human being worth their salt to claim that the late Head of State never scored any achievement..President Sata outperformed all his predecessors when it came roads construction in addition to his passion for the poor….

    Let us also avoid saying this and that will never lead zambia..the same was said about Mr Sata. Its only God the creator of all human beings who can say that.. God has already chosen..If you are disputing, tell us who will be the next…

  18. Who started this ‘body viewing’ thing? In most of our cultures, only family and relatives would view the body. Is it to make sure the person is indeed dead like wishing your enemy dead? They even allow children these days to view bodies they would never talk to let alone view in life. Please limit body viewing to family and close relatives!
