    • Very touching. Mama Kaseba be strong mama, be strong. Seeing a person you used to share a bed with lying lifeless in a casket is one of the most heartbreaking things in life. Bless you.

    • The country as a whole is shocked saddened and miss you, Mr Sata

You were universally loved and the vacuum you have left will never be filled

We miss you all. See you one day.

      Thanks

    • If you pictures Cambridge/Oxford students going to pay their last respect to Princess Diana, you will see noble gentlemen who looks like the future of a Nation dressed in the utmost respectful way.

Now look at those UNZA students, looking worse than street boys, and tell the name of UNZA has not been discredited

They are a disgrace to the country, Institution and the public at large. All sewer rats and the lowest of the ebb the whole lot of them. Disgusting

      Thanks

    • He was such a great leader.Haters in denial can thumb down my post but it still won’t change the fact that this man had a great vision for Zambia. Rest in peace king Cobra.

    • Ba Ka Mushota, usually I laugh at your annoying and out of tune jokes as a stress reliever, but slowly I’ve been reading into your posts and note a particular anger against your country which you’ve even disowned vowing never to return. But wait until UKIP joins the ruling ranks and Westminster begins to effect anti-immigration laws…..
In this case, I sense you may have failed to enter UNZA & so you hate it with passion. The students are in mourning why should they dress up, we have to do things the Zambian way not the English way. That’s why even the First Lady is sitting on the floor at State House….., Intambi…

    • @Saulosi… heeeh sure ayi, the almighty king cobra is gone. I still feel like a dream. I thought I had enough of sorrows, and declared Wednesday yesterday as my last of mourning. But this pictures, everything is renewed, so sad mwe.

  1. we mourn a great leader, you never gave up till you got to state house and from that i have learnt to keep trying, dreams do come true.mysriep tata Sata

  2. Notice how the female cops laughed at the Chinsali DC Evelyn Kangwa on picture 27. They probably sensed that she was either more connected to the Cobra than meets the eye or was angling for a ministerial appointment after the elections

  3. I’m already missing the days when I would open nearly all the Zedian online publications only to be greeted with ‘attacks’ and ‘defence’ on the president’s heath….it was a much better time spent my PC than what I’m recently greeted with each time I open up any publication…..
I recall a few ‘bloggers’ pleading with who-ever had the power to convince the late to step aside to do so urgently…perhaps this could not have come too soon….we saw it with Mandela…..
…the assertion Chikwanda and banshi Nono had in the infamous ‘leaked’ recordings that MCS was tying to avoid the ‘expensive’ bye-elections if he had to resign …bla bla…
there we have it all the same but this time on a bitter note for that matter….

  4. Those who eat roads will vote for PF. Those who do not realise that Lusaka is littered with pangas will vote for PF. Those who will be f00led for the second time with a 90 day sweet will vote for PF. Those who do not feel the pain to be told by a government official that kuimwena the government is not responsible for educating your children will vote for PF. Those who are completely blind that key government and diplomatic positions went to one tribe will vote for PF. Those who do not know that government ministers raised their salaries 3 times in 3 years and imposed a wage freeze on the poor civil servants will vote for PF. Those who do not feel the impact of removal of subsidies and have 3,meals a day will vote for PF. God is Great!,

  5. Shikulu ba Sata ala namutusha mufilamba. Nebo nchili nama shoko pantu imfwa yenu akashita yafikilapo fwebo tatwalechetekela ukutila kuti fyachitika. Nomba ngafilya ichibemba chatila ukutila “ichalo lifupa wakolokota washa,” awe mwatushila fwebo twakulakolokota. Naifwe kwena akashita kesu kakafika. Nabalale muchibote chamfumu mukwai.

    • I thought I was the only one baffled. Thanks for commenting. I was looking at the message waiting to see the name Jehovah and Jesus in it.

  6. MCS I remember you from my Chilenje days when you were Lusaka Governor in your immaculate Safari Suits and at the official opening of the first market in Woodlands Extension 1989 there about. You fought a good fight, we will remember you.

I was one of the Sections Chairmen under Lubwa Ward then.

    RIP!

    • @ZOZI-A-ZOZI, I think MCS was Governor before 1988, I remember attending his campaign meetings in 1988 in Chilenje Hall for the Kabwata Parliamentary seat. His opponent was one Maxwell Nyimba Sibongo during the UNIP days. At one point, MCS went to Sibongo Grocery and bottle store and bought off all the items in the shop!

    • Bandawe you are right Elections were held in 1988 when he became MP for Kabwata beating Maxwell Sibongo and late Siloni Jere. Ma days a pa Katuta na pa Banda in Chilenje across Chilenje Hall.

  7. Absurdity at a highest level. Just because you are UNZA students you want to take the whole road and disturb motorist who pay road tax. You fool!sh students. Come and see the behavior of students here in Perth/Australia. No such stupidity because they are busy. if not in class they are at work. Now you stupid students because all you do apart from class and studying is sex and drinking. what kind of future leaders behave this way? you are *****s because you are making every Zambian look s!lly when a foreigner sees you misbehaving over Mr Sata. Why don’t you just mourn with dignity id!ots

    • One person who is probably very genuinely affected by this is the President’s ADC (Picture 10). These guys are normally closer to the President than anyone else and tend to develop a very close relationship. I hope he is transferred to a good job.

    • I also saw great respect and sadness at the same time, just from the posture of the soldier (ADC?) in picture 10. It’s the best and most touching picture I’ve seen so far. Also the most beautiful.

  8. am so sure..most of these people are unemployed and have nothing to do..they are just going to prove that the dictator and tribalist is really gone..kekekekeke..

  9. The Sata circus continues. .. is there a big fridge at the event to keep Sata’s corpse at a certain temperature overnight?

  10. Pic. 18. At finishing school, (st trinians…!), we were told a gentleman always keeps his jacket, tie and hat on; no matter how hot the weather. Chap in short sleeved jacket…..where on earth did he get such a suit, is cheating by cutting off most of the sleeves! Pic 24, it is heart warming to see UNZA kids run to catch their ride to pay their last respects. Such duty, such stamina! Pic 27 good to see young cadets, military\police do service carrying their elders. We have a nice country, and traditions, lets keep them.

  11. Can we please start cremating these presidents? There is hardly any land around Embassy Park for huge tombstones.

    • Ati kupusa mu Tumbuka uyu!
Imwe ba LT-how do u identify spam? Is this Spam? I’m saying something useful. I’m telling off umu Tumbuka aspiring to be TB Joshua! Ukutumpa!

  12. MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA WAS SIMPLY LOVED. THE OPPOSITION SMALL TIMERS WANTED TO MAKE HIM APPEAR TO LOOK LIKE A DEVIL. THEY SIMPLY FAILED FOR ONE MOST IMPORTANT REASON. SATA WAS MAINLY FOR THE COMMON MAN. ALL THE GROUNDS (INFRASTRUCTURE) HE SET OUT TO PREPARE WAS LARGELY TO COME AND BENEFIT ORDINARY PEOPLE ONCE COMPLETED OR NEARING COMPLETION. THE COMMON MAN COULD SEE WHERE ALL THESE THINGS WERE LEADING TO. THERE WAS NO JAGON IN HIS TALK. EVEN A PERSON WHO DID NOT GO TO SCHOOL UNDERSTOOD HIS ECONOMIC POLICIES AND END RESULT BENEFITS. COMMUNICATION TOWERS IN VILLAGES, ROAD, UNIVERSITIES IN RURAL AREAS, HOSPITALS, NAME IT SATA WAS BRINGING IT.

  13. Why do they have to put a dead man on a display for the whole country to see? I doubt if bamudala would like to be displayed in that manner. This culture of body viewing should really end especially for people who have been sick for a long time like Sata. Anyways MHSRIP

  14. Picture no.27, those two girl cops holding ba madam Kangwa look quite amused with her over-the-top ululating and other displays of coerced public grieving.

Anyway ba mudala ba KK nabo, that ka note is completely devoid of sincerity.

  15. hhmmm…. most Zambians have a taste for dressing up, even at funerals… i guess there will be a judge to inform us about the well dressed mourner…

Ka Mushota you dont deserve to live, I run out of words to describe your character but suffice to state that your insignificant hostility towards our country is enough evidence that you are unAfrican and not even Ebola infected countries can turn to you if you were to come up with a long lasting medical solution!!!!!!! UNZA student are expressing themselves in the manner they feel is appropriate and respectful to mourn their beloved president, so just shut up and find a life!!!!!

  16. RIP MCS
So sad to see his kids mourning. May the good Lord give them strength. Pliz dont crucify me, i couldn’t help but notice the marks on Sata’s daughters arms. Hope she is not being beaten by bashi Nono’s son. (if she is the one who is married to Sichinga).

  17. Too much physical contact in these mourning procedures. One would think people would practise some restraint considering the Ebole outbreak. Zambia should not think it is immune as the world is just too connected right now.

  18. Some comments from some people in the diaspora are so annoying. If you hate this country so much so that you condemn everything that goes on here including the facial appearance of the ministers, why don’t you do a noble thing: stop following the events of this country and remain where you are – forever. Cowards. We are here to preserve the country you have run away from and so if you are so bored, in that foreign land, try to be positive at least for once.
