  1. Look at Pic 18 of EL mourning…. no actually crying. I think this is when he delivers his emotional speech. PF cadres think this pic will help amass votes for EL

    • @Pretty, yaaa Lungu want to use RB’s tactics. Edgar Lungu was not close to Sata that much, there was no emotional relations between the two. It could have been other way round, Sata could cry that he lost a loyal minister.

    • They should just Guy Scott continue, otherwise with their differences, They will lose?? It is clear because they have a lot to Deal with. Draft Constitution, 90 days promise? In fighting?? They should sort out their house first then go for Presidential Elections.

Zambians let’s save the money no need for By Election, moreover it will bring the country backward if we change the Presidency from PF to someone else.

    • LT your images capture the moment and essence of yesterday. I was there at the stadium and I have never seen anything like that before. More 60,000 people knotted in grief, mourning a single life.

    • LT please forward all the pictures to FIELD RUWE so he can make a screen-saver. He has even continued throwing stones at Sata all the way to Embassy Park. Some people sure has black hearts.

    • Uyu Gerald Sata azativuta! that conked hair! awe sure.

      Chief Mpezeni…..comments reserved

Mugabe holding hands with Scott …..make your own conclusions

    • NUMBER ONE YOU ARE JUST AN ABSOLUTE !D!OT. I DON’T KNOW IF MOST ZAMBIANS THINK LIVING IN EUROPE, UK OT SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES AUTOMATICALLY TURNS THEM INTO WHITES WITH A LIFE-STYLE AND NOT A CULTURE. THERE’S NO CULTURED AFRICAN WHO WOULD PASS SUCH A COMMENT AS @PRETTY HAS DONE. EDGAR LUNGU WORKED VERY CLOSELY WITH SATA AND IS BOUND TO WEEP AT THIS LOSS. EVEN THOSE WHO HAVEN’T WEEPED ‘TODAY’, ONE DAY THEY WILL WAKE UP EXPECTING TO FIND MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA AND THE REALITY SHOCK OF HIS ABSENCE WILL MAKE THEM WEEP NOT IN THE FARAWAY FUTURE. SATA WAS FOR EVERYONE IN THE MOST INTIMATE CIRCUMSTANCES. SATA IS ONE PRESIDENT WHO LIFE HAS TOUCHED EVERY ZAMBIAN EVEN IF A HANDFUL WOULD LIKE TO DENY IT IN PRETENSE. WE LOVE YOU SATA, OTHER ZAMBIAN PRESIDENTS’ FUNERALS WERE FORCED UPON CITIZENS…

    • …NOT AT ALL WITH MICHAEL CHILUFYA SATA’S. CITIZENS ARE WILLING ATTENDING HIS FUNERAL WITHOUT BEING FORCED OR PARADING THE BODY TO THEM. SATA’S HISTORY OF HUMANE FEELING IS PROBABLY AS OLD AS HIS OWN LIFE. SO GUYS WHEN WE GO TO WHITE PEOPLES’ COUNTRIES LET’S NOT PRETEND TO HAVE BECOME WHITES WITH A LIFE-STYLE AND NO CULTURE. WE HAVE A CULTURE IN ZAMBIA AND AT FUNERALS WE CRY LOUDLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE PERSON WHO HAS PASSED ON IS A BLOOD RELATIVE (close or distant), NEIGHBOUR, FRIEND OR FRIEND’S FRIEND. OF COURSE YOU WILL BE EXCUSED IF EDGAR LUNGU IS YOUR TRIBAL-COUSIN. BUT IF YOU ARE NOT- BAWISHI/BANYINA MULISHILU FYE.

    • Ba LT! It’s Countess, not Countress. Anyway, the Countess of Wessex is stunning, just so classy. Grace Mugabe looks stunning too!

    • Ok, the last picture showing Guy Scott giving Dr Kaseba the flag that was used to drape the coffin is really sad even for old soldiers like me. RIP HEMCS.

  2. Edgar Lungu, we have gone through that drama of shedding tears by RB, asking for sympathy votes. Then later he gather his children to loot Zambian kwacha. The man we didn’t know, just like you.
This time around we be honest to ourselves, will vote for the ready man of action = HH.

    • @Nostradamus
Above all we have already experimented the PF government and they have failed to deliver the most important promises. People driven Constitution in 90 days of government which the late said we already had one. Forgot he promised. Weakening of the Kwacha which I favour though we have not utilized this opportunity by being more productive in the export market, highest bank interest rates since Chiluba’s first term, High fuel prices and mealie meal prices due to removal of subsidies that we were told would earn us money for infrastructure yet they keep on borrowing. Cement is also sky rocketing in price. My problem is PF remains the same nothing new. same ministers, MPs and all. Time for new people.

  3. R u really gonna bore us with pics ? This country has mountains to climb. 14 day days were unbearable not we continue with pics?
Media is there to inform and educate not bore people to death.

  4. Ba EL that cry was for sympathy vote. Please let them go for convention there could be other candidates better than Lungu. This time around let the selected candidate under a medical check up. That seat is hot.

  5. Yes all presidential candidates must go medical check and pass medical exam.Twatendwa ukulosha ba president.Such funearl are too costly.

  6. We thank God for giving us peace through and through. This was a very, very dignified send off. Cabinet , job well done. Military, kudos to you for all you put in to the burial of your Commander with splendor and admiration. Political parties thumbs up to you all for restraint and show of magnanimity in this difficult situation.
Dignitaries present, that was show of love to Zambia and First family. Our own people that was caring indeed to see all come up in great numbers to mourn with the bereaved. Being our President ,we as Zambians were all bereaved. May this love continue.

  7. Let them finish their term of office why ‘re u power hungry. U think u ‘ve seen an opportunity no. Viva Michael rest in peace

  8. I have just learned today that the former first lady Christine Kaseba has some Zimbabwean blood. Her mother is Zimbabwean. It appears our late president had a test for foreign women. Mulenga Sata’s mother is Malawian, Sata’s first wife.

    • Whats wrong if Christine’s mother is Zimbabwean? We have thousands of Zambians who are Zimbabweans citizens enjoying full freedom any human being would like to have.

    • You must be a female to spout that nonsense. No such thing as foreign women. All women, even Egyptian women are God’s creation. Concentrate on your own building of the future and Zambia. That is petty. Amen to Kaseba being a doctor though.

  9. Are those the ONLY children of the MAN OF ACTION? What about their mothers ? Not allowed to throw ka SOIL? Did the man of action Leave a WILL? Bashi ” NONO” looks nice but where is bana NONO? The NONO couple professied the truth, just a day after the professy the COBRA was gone, and BASHI NONO said their will be a CRISIS

  10. What happens to the Copperbelt UPND official who was warned and cautioned by Police for “issuing alarming statements” that President Sata was sick and was going to die and Zambians should prepare for by-elections? (see Lusaka Times 18th June, 2014)

  11. It’s good to see that young man Gerald in pic.13 has already gotten over his loss and is cheerfully moving on with his life.

  12. Chief Mphezeni on picture 20 looks ‘stunning’, he must be feeling the weight of the earth creeping all over him down six feet any time soon. Kukonda maningi kusuka munkhondo ka mambala!

  13. I have been told by Dr Katema that President Sata is actually as fit as a fiddle, busy planning strategies for the development of the country. This whole death and burial of Ukwa is but just an imagination of the opposition, ba zonde ba zalema! Anyway, too many singing canaries in Zambia, it reminds me of one Mike Mulongoti claiming Levy was fit and jogging in the ?Champs-Élysées, when the man was actually dead and Mike knew it! Such fools deserve being shot dead.

  14. ….Once upon a time, there lived a man called MCS. He…………………..that’s how the story ended…
where did the first lady find strength and time to wear a wrist watch…??…and for what…??….I give her a benefit of doubt, she must be conditioned….just like putting on spectacles…sometimes you don’t even realise that u are doing it…. bcos you have been doing it everyday for years
