Sata told me he was last old man to rule-Judge Ngoma

Share

“SATA told me he would be the one to close the chapter on the old guard ruling Zambia,” says Judge Ngoma, President Sata’s confidante.

And Mr Ngoma said the on-going differences in the ruling party are normal because it has lost a leader.
In an interview, Mr Ngoma said President Sata had a vision for Zambia which would have turned the nation into a paradise.

Privileged to have worked closely with Mr Sata, Ngoma said he was privy to some of his plans to develop the country.

“Sometimes we would be driving and the President would point to a mountain and say, ‘Judge, do you see that? What is needed is to cut a road through that mountain and the next thing you are in another part of the country,” he said.

He said the late President was always thinking of the next developmental plan for the nation.
According to Mr Ngoma, had President Sata won the 2006 elections, Zambia could have been way ahead in terms of development and other ways.

He remembers Sata as a man who never forgot where he came from and the people in his past.

“The President one day sent me to look for a certain man in the outskirts. I found an old man whom I took back to ba Sata. The President introduced the man to me as his teacher in grade five who used to knock the tips of his fingers with a chalk duster,” he said.

Mr Ngoma believes President Sata was successful in his political career because he was disciplined and observed time.

He said the late President would tell him that as a leader, it is important to be punctual.

Mr Ngoma also said Mr Sata was a very clean man who would rub his fingers on the dashboard and ask him how on earth he (Ngoma) could be driving such a dusty car.

“Concerning grooming, President Sata told me not to wait for somebody to groom me but to groom myself as I learnt from him,” he said.

Mr Ngoma said Zambians should remember Sata for the schools, hospitals, roads and other developmental projects he implemented.

    • How does this guy make the news? Wamuyayaya mentality at work. In as much as one has to agree that it is time for a younger generation (but not Miles Sampa) to rule, let not idolise Sata as if he was anything more than a deceitful liar for us to heed his words. If anything, my view is that Sata served as President to awaken Zambia from slumber and take an active role in determining its future. Another mess like this will be the final nail in the coffin?

    • Poor old teacher. So Judge what happened to the teacher who used knock Ba Sata’s tip of fingers? Did he ask you for revenge?
Can police investigate where that retired teacher is and if he was touched or not.

  1. Firstly, RIP Mr President.

Secondly, Sata’s wishes are not necessarily what the masses would like.

There is no upper limit to age of president in zambia. Stop descriminating based on age.

Now that he is gone, everyone thinks they are custodian to his legacy. As if he even left one..shah

    • cut the crap no wander you continue being ruled by old fashioned thinkers.Judge Ngoma though am not an ardent supporter for PF is right.Forget about the old folks, look @ kenya, rwanda n botswana doesn’t that make you envy them.Old thinking ha???????????

    • If I look at Judge Ngoma, ine uluse mwee. Ba Sata used to hang-out with low class, so inspiring. That is the gospel according to Judge Ngoma.

  2. Infact Sata was the oldest being born in 1936 thinking he was born in 1937 ask Ba KK.

So he was the first and last old mbuya to rule Zambia

    Thanks Ba Micheal MYSRIP

    Chao

  3. Ba judge Ngoma please. If Sata was confiding in you then I seriously have reservation about his mental state. When did you meet sata’s teacher? And how old was this teacher when you met him?

    • Imwe ba Poor Mentality (PM), you need to go back into history, in those days, those who seemed clever in class became teachers if they so wished and taught others even older than them. Never always think that a teacher is always older than the pupil. My mother went to a teachers college at Mbereshi at the age of 12 and taught older people in Nchelenge upon her graduation in 1948.

    • Kolokombwa…teaching is a profession and not child’s play. I think the teacher was 100 years old. Sata died at 77. For arguments sake, let’s say he started school at 7, his teacher would have been 21. Now let’s do the maths… 21-7= 14. The age difference between Sata and the teacher would have been around 14 thereabouts. Now add 77+14=91. Sata’s teacher is between 88 and 100. This history should be readily available as the subject is a former head of state and therefore we shouldn’t have to guess this information. Now let’s analyse the storage and information retrieval systems in Zambia. There is need to computerise birth and death records in Zambia. In fact, we have got to do this sooner than later so that information can also be used for credit scoring among other things.

  4. But Edgar Lungu will spoil this good legacy. Let the PF choose someone else or even Inonge Wina. Choosing Edgar Lunu would be a political sucide for PF just as how choosing Rupiah Banda & Nevas Mumba was with the MMD.

  5. This judge ngoma is a big lier. Why didn’t he reveal that before. He is looking for sympathy. Country men/women don’t listen to this crook.

  6. Is this the criminal who was convicted for abduction (captured on camera)? The criminal who carried out heinous acts of violence for…..A criminal preaching development and legacies, God where are we heading to? He should just take himself back to prison and serve the rest of his sentence.

  7. The problem is that no one is telling the truth about Sata.Hw old was that Teacher for Sata considering Sata’s age at that time! This Judge is a cheat. It seems Sata was telling his friends & followers the truth.
On his burrial day,his friend lied to the nation that Sata who was Born on 1937,started school in 1941 just 3yrs and some months. Then this judge os claiming to have seen Sata’s grade Five teacher!More to be heard frm Sata’s disciples.

  8. How many political suicides do we have? sata was a political suicide, cimbwi no plan but today cimbwi appoints inonge as chair you also apoint nalumangwe. Zambians lungu will be there for one year if he fails we shall replace him period

  9. Judge Ngoma. Mr. Sata’s legacy is a cabinet full of people from one region. You dishonor yourself by lying like like. Sata is dead let him RIP. You also move on.

  10. We are a very funny nation.Judge Ngoma what? This guy in jail for all I know…..who gave him immunity to start making news?Arrest the ***** for crimes against humanity?

  11. I remember Mr Sata for presiding over a chaotic nepotistic self serving violent regime. I remember him for not once holding a press conference as head of state in three years. I remember him for releasing convicted violent criminals from jail terms arming them and thrn releasing them to run roughshod over innocent zambians. I remember him for leaving unimaginable chaos with potential to plunge the country into trouble. I remember him for tacitly approving the lies about his health and well being as a shocked nation watched him wilt before their eyes and spend unimaginable amounts of tax payers money in search of health. I remember him for dying in office when he could easily have died as a private citizen and received the same honour in death as a sitting president. I could go on.

  12. Judge Ngoma is talking about Sata the tribalist, Sata the king of lies which anybody can substantiate, this is not slander. Judge Ngoma himself is a thug, Sata the guy who had no clue on governance. I do not belong to any political party but this issue of portraying Sata as a great leader must end. If we are a Christian nation, we must stand up say Sata oppressed the opposition, his appointments were tribal. The chap is sick and says I am fit, very very useless

  13. Judge Ngoma, I am PF and I this time want to stand on the side of truth. We had the worst leader in Sata. Our friends left mealie meal at 30 Kwacha and in 3 years it almost 100 in some areas, our friends left some reserves, the Kwacha was stable. The bumper harvests were real resulting in stable price of mealie meal. And Judge Ngoma in your wisdom, Sata was working. Guys, if a guy is paying my salaries but can’t perform, let’s voice it out. But looking at Judge Ngoma, it could be a school issue like his boss, maybe we should understand

  14. Judge, keep the discussions between the two of you to yourself. But be careful, he could have been lying to you because the man was a LIAR

  15. To u all that have said I’ll of Nghoma and Ba Sata, u r lost in a one vision mind. I have the privilege of meeting and talking to the late president when he was not president. And all that Nghoma has said is the truth. I have said on this same site that ‘ when Sata goes u will miss him’. Its just a matter of time when u will start complaining that things have stopped moving and if only Sata was alive things would have been different. U seat where ur lazing around and blame everyone else for ur laziness. No government shall give u a job, but all what it can do is make a situation of u to make it in life. Use ur head to make a difference in ur’s and others lives.

  16. Ati “The President one day sent me to look for a certain man in the outskirts. I found an old man whom I took back to ba Sata. The President introduced the man to me as his teacher in grade five who used to knock the tips of his fingers with a chalk duster,”

Sata at grade 5 would have been at least 10 years old and the teacher would have been in his twenties. now let’s do the maths.
If Sata was 10yrs and the Teacher was approx 20 yrs, we know that Sata died a 77 year old which would make the teacher 97 at the very least and over 100 years if he was slightly older. What’s the name of this teacher? Mr Ngoma, if you want to make a name, use your own and stop using people you know can not question or defend themselves.

  17. If the man was so obsessed with cleanliness, why di he have such a bad dental formula. The man surrounded himself with thugs like Ngoma because as the saying goes” birds of a feather flock together”. My assessment of Sata’s Presidency is that he wanted power for the sake of power; to be known as ba kateka. If he really loved this country he would have left us a people driven constitution (and not an animal driven one) and we would not be in the mess we are now of preparing for two Presidential elections within two years. Anyway am sure unadyela maningi Ngoma.!

  18. Judge Ngoma, you served the president well. That’s what it means to be a faithful servant. Like many of us who can attest to how deeply president Sata loved his country and people of any hue and colour, hold your steadfastness in guarding the sovereignty. Not all is lost. We are comforted, ‘ To die is Christ, to live is gain’

  19. Sata had a thirsty for development but he did not have the power to prioritize. Some of the things he thought of were not feasible.

  20. Grades were introduced after Independence by which time Sata had already been past the age for grade 5. During Sata’s time there were standards not grades. Judge you are simply upholding the PF culture of lying.

  21. Judge Ngoma the thug who was seen in full view of a camera assaulting an innocent person. No sooner did PF get into power did he get pardoned. President Sata right hand man, it tells you what kind of mediocre government we have in place

  22. Kenneth Kaunda was the youngest President Zambia ever had. Look what happened. If he had had his way, he would have been President up to today!
This rubbish about Young Presidents is acerbic to those of us who know human nature.
An older President is cheaper than a young one who will live for 40 years on taxpayers expense after leaving office.

  23. And mr Sata, before he died, gave me the recipe for cupcakes as follows: (He gave this list of ingredients only to me). I will now share with you all

    Ingredients

Original recipe makes 1 – 9×13 inch cake
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    1/4 cup shortening
    1 1/2 cups white sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 eggs
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup buttermilk

  24. Was it the work of that dictator and tribalist MICHAEL SATA to tell us if we will need another old man or not.It is us the voters. We still have decent old men who can be considered, unfortunately RB is not one of them.

  25. Sata died at 77. Great memory to have remembered his teacher of the early 40s considering that the history narrated by the family was that he didnt last very long in the classroom. Sata having failed to go very far in his education, he enrolled at lilayi police training at the age of 19. By the same logic, his teacher who had gone far in his education started teaching older than 19 years (the age for someone who didn’t finish their education). Lets argue that his teacher was about 20-25 years. Add this to Satas 77 years. This means his teacher if still alive is 97-103 years old. Ngoma is lying. Period. The nation hasn’t forgotten the assault case by Ngoma on fellow PF cadres as well as UPND and MMD members. The docket might be re-opened

  26. We should not forget that Judge Ngoma is a convicted criminal who Sata erroneously freed from prison on partisan grounds. Sata did not follow procedure because he behaved in a manner tantamount to overruling the courts of law. The act by Sata was unconstitutional which means this criminal must be taken back to prison to finish his term. He must be reminded that the people of Zambia have not forgotten how this criminal brutalised people who had opposing views to those of the PF. Now he has reached the end of the road and the law must take its course. As we vote during the presidential by-election lets ensure we vote for sanity and not the PF mediocrity. The ball is in our court; PF must be kicked out for good.
