Leader of the MMD Die Hard Youth Wing Bowman Lusambo has described Former President Rupiah Banda is a shameless and greedy old man.
Mr. Lusambo observed that the decision by Mr. Banda to return to active politics has shown his true colours and exposed his greediness.
He said the youth movement in the MMD are disappointed that a man they campaign so had for in the 2008 and 2011 general elections could turn around and wish to destroy their party.
Mr. Lusambo was speaking Saturday afternoon when he featured on Radio Mazabuka’s popular talk show LiveWire.
“This is the man we toiled so hard for. He was a foreigner in the MMD and we embraced him and we campaign for him so hard that he won the elections. We are now disappointed that he has come back and stabbed Dr Nevers Mumba in the back. We regret campaigning for him,” Mr. Lusambo explained.
He said the entire youth leadership has rejected Mr. Banda’s attempts to hijack the party using people like National Secretary Muhabi Lungu.
“For people like Muhabi, we just feel sorry for them. We lobbied for his job and this is how we has chosen to repay us. This marks the end of his political career because his days as National Secretary are numbered. We will chuck him out.”
Mr Lusambo explained that the wrangles in the MMD will soon be over and Dr Mumba will be the party’s candidate in the upcoming presidential election.
“This is beyond politics. This is a spiritual war and we believe victory is on our side because God is on Dr Mumba’s side.”
A number of callers to the programme commended Mr Lusambo for actively upholding the interests of the MMD since it lost power in 2011.
A number of them resolved to vote for a younger President and castigated Mr Banda for returning to politics saying he is too old to run government.

All those criticizing RB are dead scared of him. He is exercising his democratic right and majority of his party MPs and central committee members are supporting him knowing very well that he is the only one who can resurrect MMD. They in fact using his popularity, familiarity across Zambia to get back into power and then build up from there to takeover in 2016. Nevers and a few of his colleagues cut a deal with certain sponsors to support HH and play second fiddle. He and his confidantes benefiting from the same have their right to work in their interest. If they have the right, so have the majority of other MPs and NEC members to protect their interest. But why can’t RB speak for himself. So far we just keep hearing from people who are aggrieved and trying to push their own agenda. What if RB comes out and says he refuses to be drawn back into politics, Do you really think MMD stands a real chance of forming government? People need to be realistic, whether it is RB or Nevers, MMD has been caught off guard and the support base is looking away whilst you portray internal fighting. Don’t be surprised if HH wins because you are so focused on your own individual selfish agendas. RB is the best you have for this period only. Who ever wins has no guarantee of winning 2016 so wise up and think long term and stop de-campaining yourselves. You are only playing in to the hands of your political rivals.

Why even worse time talking about these selfish man? I guess he understands the weakness of Zambians, we forgot to early and easily carried away with lies. I wouldn’t be surprised if Banda won the party presidency of MMD. If that’s happens HH will win the election or if PF use Lungu he has a chance of beating HH.
RB stands the best chance to win against Kaseba and HH. My little political knowledge tells me PF is heading for a split and many PF MPs and central committee members will join MMD.
Zambia is a laughing stock! Imagine the likes of Bowman Lusambo going on radio airing political commentary, likes of Chishimba Kambwili vying for Presidency, unfortunate times. PF going into oblivion & MMD if not careful will become the next UNIP. HH may win but is he the right man to correct the wrongs of PF? He has already gone into business pacts with foreign companies, does that help the ordinary Zambian? Let us pray that the Almighty does what is best for our dear nation.
What’s happening now is an eye opener to even unintelligent voters, that Zambian politicians haven’t matured yet to be entrusted with power. We have been governed by brain dead delinquents since 1964, that’s why we are still stuck in this unbelievably stup!d economic and political mire 50 years after independence.

Banda has right to contest as long as the constitution allows. Greedy people are lusambo’s who want to stop banda. Just campaign for your candidate as you did before. With my compaign for my candidate neither Banda nor HH have a chance of winning.

It is just a ploy by RB and Muhabi Lunch just to destabilize MMD. all want is cause confusion so that a different party emerges as second to PF in the hope that such second party will win the by- elections.
