Banda, a goalkeeper, said team work helped Zesco to win the league.
He paid tribute to club coaches, his team mates, officials and supporters.
“Thank you Lord for giving me the fourth league title. The Super League was not easy,” he said.
Banda added:”Thank you to my fellow Zesco players we have worked together and also our coaches, management and you the fans for your support.”
Zesco will now represent Zambia in the 2015 CAF Champions League while runners up Power Dynamos will compete in the Confederation Cup.
what has happened to Jacob Banda?too silent ,are you finished?why are you not second choice goal keeper?
He was nursing an injury that slowed him down from competing for the Chipolopolo Number 1 jersey. He could have been at the peak of his career now as he was in the same team as Emmanuel Mayuka, Nyambe Mulenga, Stophilla Sunzu, Clifford ‘the Master’ Mulenga, Roger Kola, Justine Zulu, Fwayo Tembo, William Njobvu, Sebastian Mwansa, et cetera at the 2007 Under 20 World Cup in Canada.
