Opposition embattled Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Nevers Mumba has challenged the former Republican President, Rupiah Banda, to form his own political party and contest the 2015 presidential election.

Dr Mumba says it is wishful thinking for former President Banda to contest the MMD presidency ahead of next year presidential poll.

Dr Mumba says Mr Banda was nominated by an illegally ‘constituted’ National Executive Committee (NEC) whose decision to suspend him as Party President has been halted by the court of law.

In a statement released to ZANIS today, the opposition leader argues that MMD has got an eligible sitting president who is no other than himself.

“As President of my party, I will lead the MMD as its presidential candidate in the forthcoming presidential by-election set for January 20, 2015. If former president Banda wants to contest the MMD presidency, then he should find another party which has no eligible sitting president, “Dr Mumba said.

He said there are no changes in the party structures in the MMD and advised party office-bearers at Provincial, District, Constituency, Ward and Branch levels to remain calm and should not be used to foster support for Mr Banda’s campaign.

Meanwhile, Dr Mumba has disclosed that he would on November 29, 2014 kick-start the national campaign in his home town and district, Chinsali in Muchinga province.

But former Republican President, Rupiah Banda, has today formally accepted the nomination to stand on MMD ticket with a pledge to re-unite the nation.

Mr Banda, who was flanked by staunch followers during his 3-year rule administration, charged that he has been forced out of retirement due to poor management of the economy by the ruling Patriotic Front government.

The former ruling party is engulfed in power strife ahead of the next year’s poll between incumbent Dr Mumba and Mr Banda.

Below is the full statement issued to the media

I wish to inform all members of the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) and all Zambian citizens across the breadth of our nation that the reported announcement by our former President Rupiah Bwezani Banda that he will contest the Presidency of the Republic on the MMD ticket is nothing but wishful thinking on the part of the former President. This is because he was nominated by an illegally constituted National Executive Committee whose decision to suspend me as Party President has been halted by the Courts of Law.

As President of the MMD, I will lead the party as its Presidential candidate in the forthcoming presidential by-election. If former President Banda wants to contest the Presidency, then he should find another party which has no eligible sitting president.

Let me take this opportunity to inform all our party structures and members that there are no changes in office bearers at Provincial, District, Constituency, Ward and Branch levels. Our members should not be used to foster support for Mr Banda’s campaign.

Meanwhile, I as President will lead the top leadership of our Party this Saturday to kick off our National campaign in my home District of Chinsali.

Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba
MMD President

    • And the circus continues ! MMD better be serious.

PF and MMD are towers of Babel as told in the bible.

Confusion in both MMD and PF has paved way for HH to rule no matter what.

    • As a scare craw, making noise is all that Nevers Mumba is now capable of doing. He will continue doing so. But his will be more of the kicks of a dying horse that the danger posed by a wounded buffalo.

    • @Nostradamus MDB2014 (Most Demented Blogger 2014)
If the towers fall you are the one who crushed (not crashed). Demented as you are with your foul mouth, what do you expect. Iwe muntu wo funta.

    • Is it true that HH just had a massive rally in Chingola? LT please confirm and please show pictures. Is HH getting good media coverage in Zambia or does that even matter. He seems to be succeeding even without the backing of the media. Political strategists out there, what method can HH use to succeed when the media is against him??

    • Whilst the confusion in MMD continues as well, the former PF secretary general, Winter Munachambwa Kabimba Sata has quit PF because of the concurrent confusion & violence perpetually perpetrated by PF ministers who have a collection of panga wielding cadres.
Lungu, GBM, Kambwili, Sampa etc, all have a squadrons of panga & machetes cadres. All the above pledged their charlatan allegiance of continuation of Sata’s hypocrisy vision. Do the citizens want the vision of violence, our streets full of PF cadres with chains, machetes & pangas’ to butcher those with divergent posits that democracy indeed has vanished under PF.

As for RB, this is dictatorship and stay out of politics. RB look after your sick wife & leave Dr Mumba alone mambala wewo!
      njala yanyokola!
      52 days…

    • What a pathetic display of statemanship Mr. Nevers Mumba. You dont rule a party by court injunctions. Mr. Mumba if you won your court injunction, how do you hope to work with your SG and other party NEC members? Mr. Mumba you are pathetic!

    • Saturday there will be a show down at mulungushi rock of authority. Pangas will come out in full force. Already pangas are out at government house thats why Kabimba has resigned.

    • I hate to break it down for you but RB wants GRZ to start paying for those chemotherapy bills he is accumulating for his wife in RSA. How is he going to offer leadership with his wife dying of cancer abroad?

How is he going to run this country with the supposed “leadership and experience” when in fact he will be another absentee “landlord” to quote Ba Chikwanda.

When I objected to the MMD even in it’s infancy, I was sure about one thing. They were not democrats as they wanted the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise to believe.

We as UNIP were even more democratic in our operations and more transparent than MMD. This is a house built on sand which managed to spoil everything we built pushing us 40 years backwards in their 20 year tenure.

    • RB is suffering from old age dementia, he has forgotten that he resigned from the position of MMD presidency. He is a loser and records are there for him to remind him of his resignation. The law is straight forward if one resigns from a job or position, that person should apply for that position for consideration. The last I checked this man did not even reapply for the job. He is just a dreamer.

    • Ba Muhabi used to be UNZASU forebearer as a staunch UNIPist. He is the one who actually coined the phrase “Movement for Mad Dogs” – MMD. Today, he is dining and sleeping among them …

Like him we young loyal UNIPist were devastated when Kerby Musokotwane (MHSRIEP) died a few years after taking over as UNIP President; just before the 1996 election. Kerby was our hope and FTJ knew it, some believe FTJ’s machinery did him in.

We were left with no hope to get back into office but ahead in polls, we ran back to KK as the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise had awaken; MMD was not a democratic enterprise.

FTJ was scared when KK accepted to stand as our candidate at Mulungushi, he changed the constitution to include the parentage clause, UNIP boycotted the election in protest.

    • “But former Republican President, Rupiah Banda, has today formally accepted the nomination to stand on MMD ticket with a pledge to re-unite the nation.”
PLEASE, WHICH NATION?? I AM NOT A FAN OF NEVERS BUT BA RB IS A COMPLETE JOKE. AFTER RAPING THE NATIONAL COFFERS WITH HIS CHILDREN AND CLOSE FRIENDS RB WANTS A REPEAT OF THE SAME! I WOULD CALL ZAMBIANS STVPID USEFUL F00LS IF THEY HAD TO BRING THE OLD THUG BACK.

    • FTJ did not even go to the convention to recontest the MMD Presidency but he stood as MMD Presidential candidate – MMD is no democratic enterprise.

Meanwhile, Anderson Mazoka (MHSRIEP) had formed his party UPND from the ground up and gave the MMD a real run for their money in 1996. Some believe he actually won the election and so those elections showed that – MMD is no democratic enterprise.

In 2001, FTJ wanted to change the constitution again to allow him to stand for 3rd term. He failed and instead of going to the convention so they could choose their candidate, they secretly brought in Levy (MHSRIEP).

Andy gave the MMD another run for their money, it is believed by some, they rigged again. MMD is no democratic enterprise. Sata could not stand Levy being brought in, he formed PF

    • Just before the 2006, elections Mazoka mysteriously died. He was the favorite to win the presidency that year as Levy had spent the better part of his first term prosecuting his predecessor FTJ for graft.

After Andy, UPND was in disarray … HH was brought in and Bob Sichinga was robbed of the UPND presidency by a clique of Tongas in favor of a fellow bull.

Sichanga left and joined forces with Sata and Guy Scott in PF; they gave the MMD another run for their money. Some believed Sata won that election but VJ did his thing.

2008, Levy died in France after Egypt evacuation … MMD did not go to the convention, installed RB for the by-election. He barely won the sympathy vote and became president for 3 years.

MMD is no democratic enterprise, I will die UNIP and a proud Zambian.

    • In fact, history has it that the only election the MMD ever genuinely won was the 1991. They blocked KK for 1996 by changing the constitution after doing what some believe was an FTJ’s Shu Shu Shu poisoning on one of the greatest and best known eloquent public speaker and son of the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise, Honorable Kerby Musokotwane.

They did a VJ in 2001 on another great son of the soil, a technocrat and Harvard graduate Anderson Mazoka, they did it again on His Excellence Michael Chilufya Sata in 2006. They won a sympathy vote in 2008 but they were caught off guard in 2011 and were not able to implement their shenanigans.

But all the more, through out their history as a party they have shown us that they are no democratic enterprise by abrogating democratic rules.

    • Half way through Levy’s term, Never dissolved his NCC to join the MMD and managed to convince Levy that he was the man. Enoch Kavindele who had worked so hard all of a sudden became a bad guy. He was booted out in 2003 and Never became Vice President.

He served as the shortest VP in history of the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise when he almost engulfed us in a diplomatic squabble with DRC and Angola. Levy came back and fired him immediately replacing him with Lupando Mwape.

Ba Lupando was another set of damaged goods whose Vice Presidency will go in history as the most dysfunctional the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise ever had. He played safe on everything, it was the more reason when Levy died that RB was brought in.

    • BA NEVER THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR DO NOT FIT IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH MY ADVICE TO YOU MY BROTHER IS TO SIT BACK AND SEEK THE FACE OF THE LORD ASKING GOD TO SHOW YOU THE WAY IN WHICH YOU OUGHT TO GO. I THOT YOUR CONSITUTION GIVES POWER TO NEC TO CHOOSE THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDITATE FROM AMONG MEMBERS OF YOUR PARTY AND THAT TO BE A PARTY PRESIDENT DOES NOT GRANTEE YOU TO BE THE CANDITATE IN THE COMING ELECTION. IF IAM WRONG I STAND TO BE COLLECTED. COMING TO MR. RUPIAH BANDA HE HAS MADE A BIG MISTAKE TO COME BACK INTI ACTIVE POLITICS

    • The entire world is shocked to see RB who preached retirement at Boston University after handing over power to PF peacefully has backpedaled.

Would RB claim to have been tongue-tied when he said he would only be an advisor to the younger generation and not come back into active politics?

What hypocrisy are mdala aba ba Ala B? Seriously people like RB again are a menace to democracy and we can all perfectly see how he has & wants to hijack the MMD leadership. Any Democrat should condemn the RB unconstitutional maneuvering with Nevers Mumba. Muhabi Lungu seems to follow the tribalistic pattern.
Check out the number of political parties in Zambia & the presidents home regions, you will be shocked.
Tribalism will reap this country apart if not tackled.
      52 days left.

    • That precisely was my line of thought. Rupiah Banda knows too well that his action has deepened already existing rifts within MMD. He doesn’t care, he has nothing to lose by trying again.

Politics, anywhere it may exist doesn’t require a person like Rupiah Banda. He’s a villain and a turn-coat whose primary motive is to continue stealing where he left off. Only politicians- Kaingu, Mulusa, Dora and similar ilk with “No Hope in Hell”whatsoever will pretent RB is the best there is to offer. It’s all nostalgia. Time has moved. Let’s collectively stop this finished Political thug in his tracks to cause more division.

  1. kkkkkkk………I as President will lead the top leadership of our Party this Saturday to kick off our National campaign in my home District of Chinsali.

No shame this man…..ati am starting in my home village and you want to be Presido. At least RB says he is a president for all zambians.

Sekwila….you have really taken the train to Chinsali…..

  2. This acclaimed man of God needs to know that MMD is not his personal property. The party has its own rules and regulations. If he needs redress, let him fight it out in the courts of law. It’s unbecoming for him to insinuate lawlessness in MMD, a party that for a long time, has been known to be civil. This is not PF.

    • Mei Matungu,

I don’t like MMD, though I used to immediately after the outwitting of KK’s 27 years of one party & dictatorship.

Nevertheless, yes, MMD is not Mumba’s personal property, so is RB. What RB & Muhabi Lumgu are doing is total anarchy and unacceptable. If Rupiah Banda wanted to still be in active politics, why did he quit the MMD presidency? RB wants to undemocratically choose to oust Mumba & take the advantage over the demise of Michael Sata.
Even Mumba is of questionable character, I don’t condone RBs dirty tricks. Shot cuts off please.
I can finally attest that, MMD & PF are a bunch of undemocratic mannerism, and I refute such nonentity.
Democracy should be held in any political party, otherwise this is a danger to its principles.
      RB should back…

    • @ Skeleton

In my view, you are demonizing Muhabi Lungu. RB simply stepped in a vacuum. If anything Mumba failed to function as MMD president. The record is there to show. MMD had a tough choice to make. They had to eject Mumba in order to save the party.

Coincidentally, RB still had live ambitions for a come back. It was enticing for him to play the devil’s advocate and he did. The situation favored his dream. Had Mumba been in good books with the NEC, RB would never have been afforded the chance.

But now you make it sound as though RB and Lungu manipulated the NEC to get rid of Mumba. That could never have happened under Mumba’s watchful eye. I trust you are not trying to tell me that Mumba snoozed off? If he did, then it was he who shot himself in the foot.

    • @ Skeleton

To the contrary, I think you are demonizing Muhabi Lungu. Mumba failed to function as MMD president. Sadly, the record shows. RB simply stepped in the vacuum. MMD’s tough choice was how to eject Mumba in order to save the party.

RB’s live ambitions for a come back became a pleasant coincidence. Enticed, RB jumped in to play the devil’s advocate. The situation favored his dream. However, had Mumba been in good books with the NEC, such a chance for RB would have been unthinkable.

But now you make it sound as though RB and Lungu manipulated the NEC in order to get rid of Mumba. You mean they managed to do that under Mumba’s watchful eye and sniffy nose? Come on. Or are just trying to tell me that Mumba snoozed off? If he did, then whose fault was that?

    • Mei Matungu,

Iam not “demonizing” your Lungu. When Hon Kaingu, Kanchingwe, Dora Siliya, respectively said that “MMD is dead” Muhabi Lungu , imposed, stood by Nevers Mumba. We must face reality and accept that, when RB retired from active politics, Mumba tried his best to symbolize the MMD, of which he did & standing today.
As for Muhabi, yes it is wrong what he is doing to Mumba because as far as I am concerned, there has never been a “vacuum”. RB & Lungu are wrong. Why didn’t RB come back in, 2012-13? Check your posting at 1.2 above, yes, rules must be followed but you seem to be talking from without.
I stand by my name and say, RB & Lungu are like the “worm” they have no skeletons for support, fragile and time wasting.

    • @ Skeleton

No, not my Lungu. I don’t have any Lungu. I don’t even know who this Muhabi Lungu guy is or any other Lungu for that matter. I know that Mumba is the one who fell for Lungu, as a trusted somebody. If I were you I would have questioned Mumba’s judgment there. Any Chief Executive must be taken to task for an error in judgment.

Mumba is now reaping what he sowed. From your point of view, however, the gentleman is irreproachable. My view is different. As far as I am concerned, Mumba spoiled his own party – by creating too many enemies for himself within MMD. That is what is eating him. I know you won’t admit it. But that is a fact.

    • @Mei Matungu

I think what Seleton is saying, is that there is a way of doing things.

You may be right that Mumba made faulty character judgements; but how does that make right the suspension of Mumba to allow another Leader (retired, non active) take over from a sitting, democractically elected member?

Skeleton is right surely. If we are talking democracy.

    • @ Patriot Abroad:

To my understanding MMD has a precedence to that effect. Mumba is not a black horse as far as that treatment is concerned. Consequently, Mumba has no legal recourse. We can talk about fairness and unfairness etc. That is understandable. At the end of the day, however, each party is government by laid-down policies and by-laws.

If MMD are able to defend what they did via such by-laws and policies etc., then Dr. Mumba should desist from declaring a civil war within the party. This is not to say he shouldn’t go to court. All I am saying is that it is wrong for him to insist on physical confrontations, like what happened to Muhabi Lungu a few days ago. We need to be more civil than that. But it is Mumba’s Legacy – remember Major Kachingwe?

    • Patriot Abroad,

Atleast you can find sense to what I’ve been trying to say to Mei Matungu, but he can’t get it.
Thanks for the clarification on democracy, hopefully @Mei Matungu will one day comprehend the realistic view we put across.
Indeed its how RB wants to take over from a duly elected Mumba. Shocking!

    • @mei matungu. It’s interesting to watch how haters of Dr Mumba like yourself conveniently use terms ‘lawlessness’ , ‘undemocratic’ to refer to his response.
Lawlessness and undemocratic, to me refers is those caledestine meetings of political misfits who forced a majority and legitimately elected party leader out of office to impose a double tonqued RB with no party or country interest whatsoever.
Lawlessness and undemocratic, to me is the abrogation of the party constitution by a collection of a few political reprobates in the name of NEC to topple a party leader who laboured tirelesslessly against all negative forces to steady the ship.
Lawlessness and undemocratic is imposing a senile RB, the UNIP way with no regard for party processes or contribution of party members…

  3. @ wanzelu I agree with you. It is indeed the modern tower of Babel.

@ Nostramadus The story of the tower in Babel is found in Gen 11: 1 -9

    • Let it be politics without punches. This notoriety of fights in politics is archaic and old fashioned. It must be condemned. We loathe to see needless spill of innocent blood.

    • @Mei Matungu, Skeleton and Wanzelu thanks for your mature blogging on this issue. Sober, issue based and no insults! I wished this was the trend everywhere, on online news channels. We need to pick on any issue affecting us and debate soberly. Congratulations you three!

  4. Nevers is just a crook who accepted some bribe from RB so this is just a hoax. You are just playing your boys to believe that you did not agree to let it for RB.
    So ba nevers mwilatubepa.
RB naimwe nemwe ba spoiler for hh. Lekeni hh nao atekeko nao mwina zambia.

  5. RB is wasting his life trying to get to state house. He has an impressive pension that guarantees him a luxurious lifestyle for life. He failed dismally at job of president, he allowed his spoiled children to meddle in state affairs and involvement in stealing, one of his kids is on Interpol red alert and hiding in RSA. Is this the man, with so many dark clouds hanging over his head that Zambians would want to take back power again? Zambians aren’t stup!d to that extent.

  6. Leadership malfunction at it’s best. Opportunism is all I can see coming to light so far. Thank God we’re still holding the peace. Had it been in some other parts of the world civil unrest would have ensued. Respect to the citizenship at large for expressing patience, tranquility and decorum. In God they trust and not in man. Leaders must not take their goodness for a weakness.

    • We are so peaceful to the extent that we’ve become docile. We can’t even ask for what we want. Let political opponents converge in one place and debate, show us what they can do for us. But ah ah, ni vi chibuku chabe na chimbala cha no ndiyo early in the morning. Nga ba fwala t-shirt ya kwa Miles Sampa ninshi Sampa has already brought development into their lives. Get where am going @ nine chale? We are docile my friend. We don’t have to throw stones at each other, lets emulate the Hong Kong students. I actually laughed when i saw the leaders of the revolution, my son will be their age soon. Africa, why??

  7. ya zanda manje hahahahaha. MMD mwe na seka ine kuno.

    Translation :

It has intensified in confusion hahahahaha
( LOL!). MMD I have really laughed over here.

  8. Nevers Mumba aka Zambia shall be saved, please stop causing confusion in a party that you just hijacked like a bus going to Chinsali (thanks siamanengo for that idea, Lol). You found it, quite alright you defended it but for Zambia’s sake, stop with the confusion #manofGod. The people in the party have spoken, let it be. Bushe kanshi mwe ba bakwasu mwaba shani ai? Ifyabene, fyabene. Someone show this man the way back to his party or Victory Bible church.

    • When Never Mumba was running his Victory Ministry Church, I was one of the many people who liked to listen to his captivating sermons every Sunday. I used to like him and thought he was a serious man of God. Frank Mutubila asked him if he was thinking of joining politics some day. He said he saw joining politics as a demotion to give up his Godly position a I liked that reply and he could have commanded a lot of respect had he continued with his ministry. Frederick Chiluba offered him a position in MMD as Vice President and jumped like anything, started behaving like he was John Wayne wearing sombrero hats and always found in disco houses. Sign of immaturity.
In my view, a person who loves money like him is easily corruptible and he is a danger to society.

  9. What a disgrace you’ve all become MMD. Shame. I remember how these chaps threw the fat Kachingwe on the ground like a poached rhino!

  10. Never you are not funny anymore, please give way we are tired of your childish behaviour. You forget that even you at one point gate crashed the party to fight for the top position from the original members. Please give up your side bickering and move on with your life abase!

  11. Nevers Mumba is a very mesmerising person that is very delusional. He has lost grip of MMD. The majority of the MMD MPs and the NEC aren’t with him, how can he effectively function without their backing?

Timely advice to Mumba is that he should go back to the pulpit as politics is clearly not his calling.

  12. RB has more chance of winning than Mumba, but RB has just lost his pension because he will lose.
If Scott does not run, GBM is the next best one to win otherwise HH will win.

  13. Hahaha it looks like we haven’t seen anything yet and now that Kabimba has resigned from PF and then RB and Mumba plus all the squabbles in PF…..i think bola izalimba manje…who knows what Kabimba ‘ s next move is….and what if RB and Mumba fight till the 19th of January….cry my beloved country. …..my only word to all bloggers. ..let’s try to show maturity when commenting…we are all Zambians at the end of the day…this is politics and it’s not for the faint hearted or lukewarms….only the strongest survive. ..God bless you all

  14. Ho, ho, ho! What gives, Nevers? Promises to be wonderful times, all round, what with nyama soya, in the black corner flexing them tired and worn-out muscles for the final assault, and in the red corner, the failed evangelist trumpeting what portends to be another lost cause!

  15. LT you haven’t got the latest yet? – Kabimba has resigned from PF. Try to keep up.
We need to read the news from multiple sources to get a balanced view – ZWD is trouncing you in terms of latest headlines.

You could keep tabs on their headlines, verify and print with your own flavoring!

    • They can’t keep up with ZWD. Those guys are everywhere. They told Sata that were even in his bedroom. He loathed them but all their reporting has come to pass. Love them or loath them but I for one have come to appreciate what they do and the fly on the wall journalism style has really got the government soiling their pants everyday. Way to go ZWD keep protecting what is ours. If people answer to the calling of governing the country, then they have got to do it with integrity and good faith.

  16. These are all Unipist opportunists masquerading as MMD. True MMD died a long time ago; hounded out by FTJ’s 3rd term & LPM’s selective anti- corruption. Nevers was a champion of one party state threatening bloodshed pre-1991. Rupiah never resigned from UNIP ‘thanks to desperate LPM acting on lame advice from Aka. Muhabi was KK’s chola boy when he ousted Musokotwane from UNIP & made sure UNIP was permanently decimated. Now they are doing the same thing they did to UNIP to MMD. RB is “maggot” specialising in eating the carcass of the dead including the clothes they are buried with whilst Nevers is a specialist in grabbing positions he never worked for. HH should be careful with alliance with now Party-less Nevers, (as LPM regretted).

    • Ba Quest:

For the sake of clarity and keeping the record straight, Honorable Kerby Musokotwane was not hounded out of my party UNIP, he died as Party President right before the 1996 election robbing us a chance for a comeback.

Our internal polling was showing us that UNIP was becoming popular as people realized that the MMD had no clue what they were doing. People saw how our industrial base was being auctioned off for pennies on the dollar in the name of privatization.

We had an educated diplomat in Kerby as our president, we had a more rational and eloquent President of UNIP, more articulate than FTJ whose shallow understanding of tenets of democracy was showered by his illusions of privatization and he knew it.

KK is all we had left, FTJ changed the constitution to bar him!

    • Had FTJ not changed the constitution, the MMD would have lost to UNIP and would have been a one term party in power. They didn’t win 1996 on merit, they used under hand methods and they knew it.

It’s after those shenanigans that FTJ dubbed himself as “Political Engineer” I personally left Zambia that year and the rest is history.

  17. To begin with; Neves Mumba; you were not MMD; what happened with your NCC party? did it disolve like your church, leave Banda alone, he can restore MMD to what it was, go back to the pulpit, you are a catcher of man to bring to the Lord never a leader.

  18. Enter contender number 4.

This campaign has set its whistle after another has claimed the stage.

Who will exit stage left and who will dominate? Time will tell.

No policies or campaign promises yet. Will watch this space.

  19. Yes RB just wants the government to foot the bill for his wife. Its better for Nevers To lose in elections than Banda taking over in such a way its not good its day light robbery

  20. I live very far from the blaring sound of the city. I am a farmer in a typical rural Zambia, and I left town life 8 years ago. Please enlighten me, who is the presidential candidate standing on UNIP ticket?

  21. I do not have any political affiliation. However, this confusion in MMD and the open mutiny in PF give me plenty satisfaction. At the very least it rules out two failed parties from the next round of Zambian rule.

  22. @B R Mumba

I have followed your history lecture on this stream and I truly find you boring. I hope your family are not always tortured with tales of ‘what we were’ or ‘if only that had happened’. Be real my man and come to the present, you can forever live in the past.

    • Ba PFLeader:

My family loves to hear these stories … Do you know why? The historical perspective allows them to fully understand the current geo-political structure in today’s landscape.

They have a proper understanding of where we have been and where we are likely going. They then are able to decide who is likely going to be genuinely for the interests of the smart people of the Zambian Enterprise or those in politics for personal gain.

My family is well informed and I am glad they are not bored, remember all my kids were born in Zambia and the American educational system encourages students to have historical perspectives of homelands in order to appreciate American exceptionalism.

Unlike you we have a lot of fun while at it, good luck with you family.

  23. Dr. Pastor Nevers Sekwila Mumba: my free advice to u is as follows: seek an injunction to restrain RB from standing. When RB left MMD, the party was in tatters but u meticulously worked on the party and u managed to bring it to level of sanity. U can not suddenly b kicked out. The old man is confused. If u have a dossier on him, please release it now. I suspect he has stashed some money somewhere that he wants to use on this campaign. Otherwise where would one who served only 3 yrs get the cash to fund such campaigns. ACC and the Police need to investigate this man thoroughly. He must have stolen from us.

  24. A few questions for Dr.Mumba.

a). Are your actions in the best interest of the party MMD or not?

b). Is it a bad idea for you to humble yourself and work with RB, at least he will be marketing you during his campaigns, so that he can groom you to takeover from him?

c).What do you have to offer Zambia if you became by any chance republican president?

Your conduct so far raises a lot of questions we even wonder what has gone wrong with you.Its clear you are de-campaigning your own party.

My advice to you is that you excise maturity over this issue and humble yourself and accept to work with RB.
