TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.”

(Matthew 7:7 AMP)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

In Mark, chapter five, there was a woman who had been sick for twelve years. The doctors gave her no hope. But, she heard that Jesus was coming through her town. Something deep on the inside said to her, “This is your season. This is your time to get well.” In the natural, when she saw all the people around Him, she thought, “I’ll never get to Him.

It’s so crowded and I’m weak. I just don’t think I can do this.” She almost missed her season. But instead of dwelling on those negative thoughts, she started reminding herself, “If I can just get to Jesus, I will be whole.” She made the choice to turn her thoughts in the right direction. She kept pressing her way through the crowd until she got just close enough to Jesus to reach out and touch the edge of His robe. Instantly, she was made whole. This is what Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well.”

Notice, it was her faith and her persistence that connected her with God’s power, and the same is true for us today. No matter what you are facing, don’t give up! Keep praying! Keep asking! Keep seeking! God is faithful! Stay determined because He will meet your faith with His miraculous power when you continue to press through!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I ask You to fill me with Your strength, peace and joy so that I can press through to victory today. Show me the good plan You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    • Here are some signs that you are a brainwashed religious person (specifically Christian):

—You go to a religious service once or more a week, and you talk about it for the whole week
–When someone questions your belief you become angry, defensive, or worse, arrogant and condescending.
–You believe your religion (or belief) is the “right” one and everyone else is wrong.
–You are not willing and/or become angry when you here someone denying your belief/religion
–You don’t know how you’d live without your religion
–You believe that God has control of everything

    • Daniel Obinim, pastor and founder of the International God’s Way Church, is embroiled in scandal after video surfaced of him stepping on and kicking the stomach of a pregnant woman.
Speaking in tongues, the pastor is believed to be trying to cure the woman of an affliction, though concrete information on the exact reason or date of the incident has yet to emerge.
In 2013, Obinim was arrested and brought before a court on seven charges, one being use of an offensive weapon. Two years before that, the pastor was again subject of scandal following charges that he had a sexual relationship with a junior pastor’s wife.
Recently the pastor has also been involved in a heated political drama with former Ghanaian President J.J. Rawlings, who accused Obinim of being a false prophet.

  1. Praise be to the Lord our God, today’s message is indeed real as i have experienced this in my Life. God will always be True to his Word. Amen

    • Over 5,000 people seeking refuge in Ntrama GOD’S church were killed by grenade, machete, rifle, or burnt alive.. where was God when they cried for help?
God did not hear their cries for help because he does not exist!!

    • Exploitation of Weakness

Religious brainwashing is all about control. A person in a place of power misuses their position to meet their own needs instead of tending the people entrusted to their care. Very often, the people under their care are emotionally or intellectually fragile. The abusive spiritual leader controls them by exploiting that weakness to manipulate their actions.

Mandated “sharing” is the first step to brainwash someone in regard to the cult of confession. Unhealthy religious groups take a verse such as James 5:16 and put a twist on it. The verse says “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” In its context, this verse refers to people who have fallen ill as a result of sin.

    • @2.2
Remember this world is not perfect and God did not make us to robots. He gave us a will to choose right or wrong.

Bad things happen to good people. If a drunkard gives an innocent pedestrian, are you saying why did God not stop the drunkard from knocking down the pedestrian? So God bought the beer for the person to get drunk and set him on the road to drive careless? Is that what you are saying?
The killers had the right to restrain themselves from committing genocide but they did not.

    • VICTIMS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

      Rwanda Massacres
In 1994 in the small african country of Rwanda in just a few months several hundred thousand civilians were butchered, apparently a conflict of the Hutu and Tutsi ethnic groups.

For quite some time I heard only rumours about Catholic clergy actively involved in the 1994 Rwanda massacres. Odd denials of involvement were printed in Catholic church journals, before even anybody had openly accused members of the church.
Then, 10/10/96, in the newscast of S2 Aktuell, Germany – a station not at all critical to Christianity – the following was stated:
“Anglican as well as Catholic priests and nuns are suspect of having actively participated in murders. Especially the conduct of a certain Catholic priest has been…

    • An all-loving god with control over every particle in existence, that chooses to allow immense suffering, cannot exist.
An all-powerful god incapable of creating perfect happiness for its creation is an oxy-moronic concept.

Such a rational creative force would hardly expect us to accept the irrationality that is religion especially as it is introduced in the heinous form of child abuse.

    • ……. occupying the public mind in Rwanda’s capital Kigali for months. He was minister of the church of the Holy Family and allegedly murdered Tutsis in the most brutal manner. He is reported to have accompanied marauding Hutu militia with a gun in his cowl. In fact there has been a bloody slaughter of Tutsis seeking shelter in his parish. Even two years after the massacres many Catholics refuse to set foot on the threshold of their church, because to them the participation of a certain part of the clergy in the slaughter is well established. There is almost no church in Rwanda that has not seen refugees – women, children, old – being brutally butchered facing the crucifix.

  2. Jesus Christ at Gorogota said cry for your selves not me.Zambians don’t say you were not told.Lungu is a disaster .Iam apealling to Zambians on a Sunday to reflect at vote wisely. If you do vote for Lungu even knowing so well that he is not fit to be president using tribal inclination ,just know you are cusing Zambia ,we shall keep morning presidents and the whole world will be ashamed of Zambia. Its up to you. Cry for your selves just like Jesus said.

    • According to eyewitnesses clergymen gave away hiding Tutsis and turned them over to the machetes of the Hutu militia.
In connection with these events again and again two Benedictine nuns are mentioned, both of whom have fled into a Belgian monastery in the meantime to avoid prosecution. According to survivors one of them called the Hutu killers and led them to several thousand people who had sought shelter in her monastery. By force the doomed were driven out of the churchyard and were murdered in the presence of the nun right in front of the gate. The other one is also reported to have directly cooperated with the murderers of the Hutu militia. In her case again witnesses report that she watched the slaughtering of people in cold blood and without showing response.

  3. @ SIDO MARK
It bewilders me dat members of de UPND always see sickness in other pipo’s lives. Why use sickness to ascend to de presidency? Just campaign & convince people using yo policies & manifesto if u’ve any. Moreover, today’s message shud nt be politicized but require serious reflection.

  4. Imagine yourself in a sinking boat would you start praying to jesus the dead jew to fish you out or try to save yourself by swimming?

    • In spite of centuries wasted in preaching God’s omnipotence, his omnipotence is contradicted by every Christian judgment and every Christian prayer.

      George Santayana

  5. Yes, continue reading such folk tales about fictitious characters…if only we change our mindsets and study more about self will we know how great we are; sons and daughters of Great Kings and Queens. Keep believing this and you will foever be out of your mind.
Once you discover that African Egyptian history preceded Ancient Roman, Greek, Hebrew history will you understand how all this is irrelevant to you and how its destroying us as a people.

Wake up from your docility now and study about self!

    • Your so called history is the folk tale and not Christianity. The history you are referring to was documented centuries after the events had occurred, which not only reduces its credibility but also reduces it to hearsay. Wake up from your docility and study history well. Uli chikopo.

    • If you truly understand where I’m coming from or first principles as is called in mathematics. ..you and me wouldn’t be having a silly debate about something writen in the slave master’s bible BUT we would be having thought provoking discussion on consciousness and the way forward for our people. That would asking too much from you I suppose. ..enjoy church service!

    • That contradictory book you call the bible is beneath me.. its utterly irrelevant to me, useless, void. ..an Oxford dictionary or a blank writting pad is more useful to me.
Save your silly insults and don’t respond if you cannot engage me in a mature debate.

  6. so many misunderstandings clearly, humans are not perfect, characters random no meaning, no big deal not interested in them…., little ones around, so why not take names? different for a change unique interesting no big deal. interesting right glad you noticed….to many miracles in ones life hence the different mind set, God big yes yes, a spade yes,, westernized may be clearly, sense of humour, just politics name calling no offence ……SAme team remember trust…believe in cause,

zambians are nice people, u doubt? y interested in the same team…trust…

    keep updating us…..

communication vital, language ignore, hidden for obvious reasons..trust zambians owe is well no big deal.

  7. Look at the system that sustains life on our planet: Every life form preys on another life form to exist. Some of this in such brutal and horrible fashion as to totally exclude the idea of a ‘loving’ god as the creator.

Look how the dice of life favours some and is more than wretched to others.

Look how natural disasters and pathogens kill and maim indiscriminately.

It must be consciously recognised that books and ideas of old came from ignorant times, and were written and passed on by ignorant men living by the malleable rules of all-encompassing superstition.

  8. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew7:7 is truly one of the most empowering portions of scripture. Among other aspects, it exemplifies that God created us with the freedom of choice. Today, each one of us is completely free to seek as far and wide as the end of our observable universe, or as deep into life as nanotechnology will allow. Freedom to question things, e.g. In Theoretical Physicist Albert Einstein’s equation E = mc2, where did ‘m’ (mass) come from? What caused the big bang? Seek truthfully and you shall find super-natural creator. I call that super-natural Creator God the Almighty.
