Acting President Guy Scott says government remains loyal to the provision of quality health in the country.

Dr. Scott said government has capable people that were working tirelessly to ensure that this was achieved in the soonest possible way.

ZANIS reports that the Acting President said this in Lusaka today when UN Goodwill Ambassador for Africa Yvonne Chaka Chaka paid a courtesy call on him.

Dr. Scott has since called on youths to partner with government in any youth activities that are aimed at improving the knowledge on HIV/AIDS.

He said the major problem affecting youths in the country was stigma because those infected with HIV/AIDS fear being shunned by society.

And Ms. Chaka Chaka said government should invest in the health of the nation.

She said her main concern was the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) especially goals number four, five, and six.

She said the MDGs are coming to an end by 2015 hence the need for Zambia to double its efforts towards attaining that goal.

  1. Where?
South Africa, India, Japan, South Korea, Israel, USA, UK?
Or you mean tax payers should stick to UTH “quality health care”?
    Please, be serious.

    • Scott, if you are serious, tell us how much Satas “MEDICAL TOURISM” cost the Nation????????

And how much was spent during that time on UTH?????

Or are you happy to “donchi kabeba” the Zambian people AGAIN??

Sata told us PF was modeled on ZANU-PF, and we now know that Mugabe spends US$ 16 MILLION a year on his personal expenses………… and the total budget for TB care in the whole of Zimbabwe is US$ 800,000!!

Is this the PF “vision”??? that Sata was emulating?

    • “We remain devoted to providing quality health care”-Guy Scott….

For WHO? Sata is dead now! Maybe yourself? How much money will you spend on that?

  2. kikikikikiki ,I wish Dr Guy Scott is aware of some Doctors who are blocking the registration of some eye specialist with the health professional council of Zambia in order to protect their eye care delivery services. This is a joke and people of Zambia will continue suffering due to selfish individuals and have proved to be lazy and failures in the system. Well it a time they are up rooted and pave way for fresh blood. GOVERNMENT SHOULD INVESTIGATE

  3. Blah blah blah Dr. Scott! Sitting Duck of a president. How many more days before the country ride itself of you and your PF?

  4. Whatever has happened to the world is very serious! Those days an old man like Dr. Scott would not be lying the way he is lying! What a shame! Dr. Scott if you have lost touch with reality go and visit UTH and go and see for yourself the poor medical facilities ordinary people are being subjected to! Take ZNBC with you! When we visit our sick relatives we wonder whether we have a government. No wonder you and your colleagues, without shame, you go to medical facilities outside Zambia when you fall sick! PF KUYA BEBELE
