Solomon Sakala completed the rout with a 74th minute goal as Zambia walked to the winners podium to get gold medals.

The Zambian youth side has won gold with a perfect record of results at the Zimbabwe games.

The team kicked of the campaign with a 6-1 win over South Africa before beating Namibia 2-0 and Lesotho 4-0 in the group stage.

Zambia advanced to the final on Saturday after thumping Malawi 4-0 in the semifinals of the competition.

  1. Well done, well done Junior Chipolopolo. Scoring 19 goals is a massive achievement. Now Zambia’s soccer has a bright future. Thank you.

  2. What has Lee Kawanu got to say about this team which he ‘disowned’ in preference to his boys from Kafue Celtics, his team?Am sure they have shamed him. The corruption in FAZ is such that Kawanu would’ve preferred Kafue Celtics boys to play so that he can pocket allowances leaving out deserving other players?Congratulations to Hector Chilombo and the boys. And Jere the fired Team Manager should be brought back, because he selected a brilliant team…why he was fired by Kawanu is a mystery,it is Kawanu who should face the boot instead!

  3. We want BIGGER TROPHIES more than this COSAFA. we already tasted it. We want WORLD CUP.

    Dream more Boys!
    God loves Zambia.

  4. Check out the names of the boys in this team, especially the top scoters. By the time they are ready for the senior team, they’ll be replced by strange names. The so called good at soccer. That’s where we go wrong, nurture these boys, make sure they stay away from alcohol and unhealthy relationships and habits. Pay them a reasonable allowance and monitor their training and education.

  5. Just imagine conceding 1 goal only up to the finals! What a team! Were all the teams beaten not shooting at our goal?
Let us think twice about the goal keeper. He is a hero and man of the match. I give him a big J (JESUS) to take care of him and make his future bright and more prosperous. Amen. He deserves it more than anybody else. If he allowed some goals what would be our position?
The whole team holds our future football hopes. This squad should be preserved. Its combination was perfectly done. Credit to the coach as well for inspiring his team up to the end. May God bless all. The young Mweene in goal should be given a cow that produces milk and a garden to grow health food crops. Expose its strikers in the senior team at the 2015 AFCON next month.

  6. I dont see anything to report about here, one the boys rea not under 20, all of them have pubic hair on their growns , they are not virgins they are definately undue advantage of their friends from Civilised SA

  7. Mwana wangu @Aisha, its not all about good goal keeping by the goalie but the defence. So collectively the team did it. Well done boys and keep it up.

  8. Wonderful performance indeed. You have done us proud and that’s our Christmas Bonus in Zambia that needs a Jubilee celebration.
Thanks and keep it up. FAZ please look at these boys with care and support.

  9. It is not surprising. We taught the region soccer. We used to beat the likes of Malawi & Botswana 12 – 0. Congrats boys, you make us proud.

  10. Great job lads.Let these boys stay together and expose them to top competitions all over the world and we can beat any team. They remind me of Dabwiso Nkhoma and Shy Kumwenda squad of ’93 but went nowhere because FAZ did nt know how to develop them.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.
