Zesco United and Power Dynamos’ CAF opponents named

Share

Zesco United will face Swazi opposition in the 2015 CAF Champions League while Power Dynamos battle a Sudanese opponent in the Confederation Cup next year.

Zesco coach George Lwandamina will be consulting the Nkana bench this week after they were drawn to play Mbabane Swallows in the preliminary round of the Champions League.

This is the second successive time that Swallows will play a Zambian club after giving Nkana a scare at the same stage of the competition this year.

Swallows beat Nkana 2-0 in Swaziland before losing 5-2 in Kitwe.

Zesco will be away in the first leg during the weekend of February 13 and later host Swallows on February 28 in Ndola.

Winner over both legs will play either Sewe Sport of Cote d’Ivoire or AS Kaloum of Guinea in the first round in mid-March.

Meanwhile, Power are also away in their preliminary round fixture when they place Al Khartoum SC on February 13.

They will host Kwesi Appiah’s team in the final leg on February 28 in Kitwe.

The winner over both legs will play either Polisi of Zanzibar or Gabonese club CF Mounana in the first round in March.

  1. ULUSE ABA YELLOW NAFUTI TWASEBANA 6 ZERO MU FIRST ROUND.
Why cant POWER do like ZESCO ta twa kabaseke iyo let them come ku CHILATA to consult the ’12 TIMES CHOMPION’ which made us reach GROUP STAGE.
Thats why LWANDAMINA this time will make it those terms SWALLOWS & SEWE SPORT with coming to NKANA i can see a VICTORY pa MwAnAwAsA.

    • Reaching the group stage with 1 goal scored can’t be compared to winning the continental trophy which Power did and another Zambian team is yet to do. Lwandamina has nothing to learn from Nkana whom he has been beating year in year out. Go Zega go, go Power go.

  2. As a Power dynamos’ fan, We have a better draw than Zesco especially going into our first round. ABA YELLOW ALL THE WAY!!!
