The Bashilubemba has said that Chiefs and Traditional Minister Nkandu Luo with her Patriotic Front Government have caused enough suffering in the Bemba land through their mistreatment of Henry Kanyanta Sosola.

“This person called Nkandu Luo and her PF government have really destroyed the Bembaland,” he said.

Speaking when Ms Nawakwi paid a courtesy call at the Chitimululu’s palace in Kasama on Saturday, Bashilubemba said Ms. Luo had caused confusion in Bemba land which needed to be resolved by the next President.

The Bashilubemba told Ms Nawakwi that the next president who would be elected into office on January 20, 2015 should gazzete Henry Kanyata Sosala as paramount chief Chitimukulu.

“God is great. He is still keeping us although we have suffered and others have failed to eat because of poor leadership by the current Government,” he said.

The Bashilubemba noted that the Bemba Royal Establishment had chosen its desired leader but Government refused to go by what the Bemba leaders wanted.

They said the establishment has always chosen its own desired chief further stating that he did not understand why PF Government was against the establishment’s wish.Bashilubemba said choosing their own chief caused them trouble to Government despite doing what was right according to their tradition.

“We have been neglected by PF Government for choosing our own chief so we want whoever will win to gazzate Kanyanta because he has been chosen by the Royal Establishment.”

Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) President Edith Nawakwi promised to reduce the powers of the Republican President once elected on 20th January this year.

Ms. Nawakwi promised the Bemba Royal Establishment and all traditional leaders in the country that once elected Republican President she will do away with the excessive powers the Head of State has so as to avoid interference in traditional governance.

Bashilubemba who took note that Ms. Nawakwi was the only woman participating in the forthcoming Presidential election, said it has been long since Zambian saw a woman being in a key leadership position like the late Nakatindi Wina.

“What you are doing is a good thing. Women are supposed to rule and put their heads together with men.”

Bashilubemba said there was nothing wrong for a woman to rule the nation because they were not different from men.

And Ms. Nawakwi has promised Bashilubemba and Mwinelubemba that she would reduce the presidential powers under the current constitution when elected into office.

Ms Nawakwi observed that the president was given a lot of powers hence the interference in chiefdoms.

“We do not need to give a lot of power to the president. We shall reduce powers so that it can also be given to the people,” she said.

Ms Nawakwi said the Bemba Royal Establishment needed to be making independent decision such as choosing its desired leader.

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people further blessed the FDD President ahead of the January 20 Presidential Election.

And speaking earlier upon arrival in Kasama, Northern Province, in her continued campaign trail, the opposition FDD President Edith Nawakwi condemned the violence exhibited by the ruling Patriotic Front on opposition United Party For National Development (UPND).
She has since called on voters in the country to reject parties whose leaders are perpetrating violence as no one in the country wants to see bloodshed.

Ms. Nawakwi said the continued violent behaviour of the youths in the PF is a risk to the country’s peace.

    • “This person called Nkandu Luo and her PF government have really destroyed the Bembaland,” he said.

Get it from our elders….as bembas, we will be kicking out PF on the 20th, Edger cannot be trusted, he says he will continue everything Sata was doing and this might include sideling out Chitimukulu.

    • Mushota, kanshi you are not objective neither are you a person to be entrusted with instruments of Justice……..

    • “Those who plead their cause in the absence of an opponent can invent to their heart’s content, can pontificate without taking into account the opposite point of view and keep the best arguments for themselves, for aggressors are always quick to attack those who have no means of defence.”
? Christine de Pizan, Der Sendbrief vom Liebesgott / The Letter of the God of Love

    • Mushota, I have noticed that you ve been quite ever since EL took over the PF leadership. I believe you were disappointed becoz you knew who EL really is. PF would have done better with Miles but not to the point of winning.

    • That EL and his PF can have the guts to even go to Bembaland and campaign, is a testimony to PF’s level of insanity. Had they been normal, their consciences would not have allowed them to do so. This election should be one of retribution against PF in Bembaland.

    • These same tubashilubemba are the ones responsible for Mr. Sata’s death. To hell with your lubemba lubemba WTF! Ba Nawakwi natulenwafye mukwai. Imwe tulubemba imwe you want to kill Luo with your magic mwapya mother far cars leave PF alone, we are winning come January, 20th Viva EL

    • Is that the reason EL was kneeling so hopelessly before sosola in some picture. Too late. Bashilubemba and their families will vote HH.

  1. If you do not like Edgar C. Lungu, put a cross (X) besides his name on January 20, 2015;

    EL2015!

    • liar hh will remain presido of southern province and the cattle ranches he has chapwa ifwe kono ku kasama ni LUnguUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

    • The good things is that the Chiefs, not even a paramount chief, tell their subjects who to vote for. Do not be surprised if Northern votes for EDGAR LUNGU THAN HH. Better the devil you know than one you do not!

  2. Edgar Lungu has been fooling the Bashilubemba by pledging to recognise Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu when in actual sense a few months ago he was in the forefront defending the action his PF government took against the Bashilubemba. You can see that this is pure politicking and the PF must not be allowed to come back. The death of their mastermind Sata was a blessing to the Zambians so that they can free themselves from the shackles of poverty and dictatorship. This is the opportunity God has given all the Zambians to choose a leadership that is respectful and people based other than the arrogance we have seen in the PF. These idi.ots thought they owned Zambia. That’s why it was very difficult for the them to believe that Sata was going to die too soon.

    • @ 5 QUESTIONER

Did you say “fooling”? I think that is an under-estimation. “Insulting” would be a more appropriate adjective, I must insist.

    • @Questioner, ba ShiLubemba are very smart people. Ba kanabesa imfumu Chitimukulu Kanyanta Sosala alone is smarter than all political brains in PF combined.

Imfumu yalisha icefu and some people are mistaking his patience for stupidity. These people are wisdom personified.

  3. Bashi Lubemba just bewitch Nkandu Luo the way you bewitched Charles Katongo…! Am sure Ngoshe Mukote has the juju!

  4. PF will be kicked out with the contempt they deserve, and we can start life again at the point it was interrupted by the satanic govt.

  5. PF cant lose in Northern!its a daylight dream by UPND cadres.just like HH cant lose in southern even if chief Mukuni is upset with UPND.be real in life.Northern and Luapula are Sata’s bedrooms!PF THERE CANT LOSE!EDGAR LUNGU WILL DEFEAT HH BY FAR FROM THERE!GO PF GO!

  6. My friend this is time to eat. each time a politician visits you just twist the statement and you see him or her producing ka brown envelop. Sosala he is a very intelligent paramount chief and can easily play on your thinking very well while deep down his heart he is in the boat.

  7. mwine lubemba may end up losing the sympathy he has gained over that saga. he is complaining to everyone. umwana kasembe kakukoma watola wakobeka. muleshamo sata mulelumbula fye luo?

  8. No individual can be called Bashilubemba. The paramount chief is Mwinelubemba. Bashilubemba is a group of people

  9. Congratulations Mr. Rupiah Banda for taking over PF. They removed yo immunity & u now deserve to call the shots. Fire those who were in the fore-front over the removal of yo immunity. Now wen EL loses in 2 wks time, please strategize to stand on PF ticket. PF is likely to break-up into smaller factions and regional parties. Hold onto one of the factions and I can assure u that u will be able to stand unopposed. PF will be so unattractive. RB, wat do u think of Given Lubinda who tossed gin & tonic wen yo immunity was lifted? Can u flush him out? He is not worthy sharing same podium with u. Alternatively, let him public & unreservedly apologize to u for the inconvenience caused on u and yo family.

  10. If anyone saw the ocean of Bemba people who attended Mr. E. C Lungu and his PF’s New Year Eve rally in Mungwi/Malole (Bemba land), one would have a huge problem believing the contents of this news item.

This is a beautiful democratic country; Madam Nawakwi is at liberty to go where ever she likes and campaign. I have no problem with that.

Nevertheless; for those who desire to know the truth about the E. C. Lungu and his PF’s campaigns, there are pictures on Mr. Emmanuel Mwamba’s Facebook page. Those pics will make you change your minds.

A picture is worthy a thousand words. That is the reason why I don’t watch news without pictures of the contents of the news item. It’s even better to listen to the radio.

    • @saviour

I didn’t see anyone protesting Ms. Nawakwi’s liberty to go anywhere. No one has a problem with it.

And I would rather gouge my eyes out with a red-hot poker than go to Manweli’s facebook page! This site has been sanitized by his mere absence!

    • Why should we view photos when we have the truth at hand. What can a photo tell you. We follow what people say becoz some people just attend rallies just to see and listen to the candidate without any decision to vote for such a one.

  11. PF are DESTROYERS. Time to destroy the destroyer has come. It’s now or never. Let Northern Province join the rest of the country and stop these “destroyers” from causing further damage to our beautiful country and honorable heritage.

  12. Nkandu Luo, bashilubemba baku sonta umunwe. tontonkanya pa mashiwi aya, mama.

Elyo nefika pona kuntanshi, mubana bobe, nabana babo, fikaba fyakupapa.

Lelo ifwe tatwa ka pape iyoo.

    • @jessie wa mu town

Ifyo ulelanda fifuma mu mano ayashika. Nomba ubwafya, ngafintu bashiLubemba basosele, ababantu ifi fintu fikumine, tabafundwa iyo, nibachitongo, ifyumbu ifishololwa.

  13. we cant be suprised that Our parents bashilubemba cud say that against PF. The late chitimukulu did not suport sata in 2011 but PF went thru. Lungu and your group you have promised what chitimukulu wants to hear but still he cant accept you. Sata has left a lot in that province which Bembas did not even dream about. PF did it without chitimukulu we shall do it again without him.

  14. I remember His Royal Highness the Chitimukulu saying he had patched up with Sata just before he died. That was before GMB”s backing of HH.

Now that GBM is in the HH camp, I hear the Bashilubemba complaining vehemently against the PF. Could it be that GBM is an influence after all. Is he not of royalty? The man says he is a heavyweight. I think he is. Read my lips PF, you are in trouble.

    • @ 20 Lwiindi Gonde

“..complaining vehemently..”? Why are you not grateful that Bashilubemba were even hospitable to EL when he was there? When Mwinelubemba says that: “This person called Nkandu Luo and her PF government have really destroyed the Bembaland,” he is stating a fact. Unfortunately, that is the reality – the ugly reality. Any patch-ups that Sata made with the Chitimukulu before he died, were after the fact and beside the point.

    • @Lwiindi Gonde

PF is harbouring some fugitives among them. They must remove people who are against the party quickly after the elections.

GBM, MASEBO, should have been removed by this …..’interminable’ …..PF disciplinary procedure……how long can it take! Sampa should really start his own party. There is no way he can win a Presidential role unless automatic once constitution is passed and he is Vice to a sick president who dies!

Edgar needs to watch his back.

  15. bashilubemba ifyo fyakulandila kumfiso. imwe ngamwalufyanya nimwe mwalaonaula ulubemba. take your differences between the two of you but time has come to vindicate you and amend your relationship.with pf.

mwebakulu, tabasunga ichisendo kumukoshi mpaka nakasuba ukuwa nakalya iyo.

bushe bashikulu abantu tabaishiba ifyo mwapusene nabatemwikwa benu abayashi.

    ishinsoselo tashilubwa mwebwa.

ulubemba lonse tabamupate lungu lelo ngapita mukesa landa amuti shani?
    infumu balaituka lelo tayumfwako.

    • @Rev

Mukwai ba Rev, mwa imona amaka ya bu kabilo mwa?

Ba sha mfumu naba lungika. Eba sunga ulubemba. Teti bale ba saluula lelo, mailo abati “iyoo cilifye”?
By the way, tabapusene one-on-one with Nkandu, for you to suggest he resolves this quietly with her. He is Umwine wa Lubemba. The insult was not against The Chitimukulu personally, but to the Bemba kingdom. I’m assuming you’re not umubemba nkonko, otherwise you would be feeling the outrage that you should.

How very dare you suggest Ba Kanabesa is destroying UluBemba! Sha!

  16. Edith Nawakwi, has one annoying habit. She complains about her opponents and makes unfair comments on her opponents. She has already been told to not use her Female Status for favourable treatment before the electorate but to fight on Equal Footing as her Male counterparts; which this Bashilubemba character is advising her.

I watched a Muvi Video in which she was moaning and groaning about being treated fairly like all the children before Nhkosi Mpezeni and he responded that it was all Politics.

As for the Bashilubemba unfairly castigating Hon. Khandu Luo; it has to be pointed out that much as we the people of Zambia speak of Sata in hushed respect for the dead, he was some confused dude, who acted wrongly in treatment of this matter and in the case of the Lamba.

    • Eager as the Chief is to get his heir apparent gazetted, it is indecent of him to start personality attacks on a public servant who only carried out the commands of the commander in chief.

He is dangling this matter of Sosala like a piece of meat and it is a little more than undiplomatic. Lungu has already assured him he will attend to the matter. He seems to speak bitterly despite this assurance.

I support Nawakwi on limitations of Presidential Powers in Zambia. The nightmare that is Guy Scott the imposter has convinced me we do need to be able to remove our presidents when their behaviour becomes unacceptable, to the point of ignoring the Rule of Law. But that is as much support Nawakwi has, outstanding is her personal unacceptable attacks on mates.

  17. Imiti epalamene taebula ukutenshana. Bembas will vote for EL. Everyone knows that the problem was between Sata and Chitimukulu. Nkandu Luo was just a messanger like bashilubemba. Bembas can expect HH or Nawakwi to solve our problems. EL will.

    • @Pan Africanist

You’ve just proven you know nothing about the Bemba people, which is understandable.

We have an unalienable pride, sometimes to our detriment – each and everyone of us.

This issue strikes at the core of who we are.

So take a seat and observe, when that long-awaited day comes

  18. Trouble is looming for PF in Northern Province. They better retreat to Muchinga Province where they come from, or hibernate in Eastern Province, which they erroneously consider to be their Promised Land, flowing with milk and honey.

  19. It would be a very serious lack of consciousness on the part of the subjects of Chief Chitimukulu to vote for the PF’s Edgar Lungu on 20 Jan 15 after what the PF and Edgar Lungu have done to Chief Chitimukulu Henry Kanyanta Sosala! It would be shameful to give Mr. Lungu even one vote! In Western Province, PF is in serious trouble after misbehaving over the last 3 years! The LOZIs have agreed to teach the PF a lesson they will never forget! That’s the way it should be if politicians are to behave. Otherwise they will not learn anything and they will continue misbehaving!

    • @C Kasonde

What you advocate is okay on a personal level. You can teach friends a lesson they never forget bit not on a political scale pertaining to how we elect our government.

A mandate is a people’s choice. The elected gov’t must listen and do as the people want. Though it us true in some respect that PF let slide on the peoples demands, they have bee in power but ONLY 3 years of their 5. These elections are about continuity. The departure of Sata sad as it was has given PF the opportunity to correct their failures.

We need to concentrate on development not minor regional matters. It is indisputable that PF has delivered on a Developments on a grand scale. We must not hid that under a bushel. Sata’s personality was the problem it’s now fixed by Grace.

  20. GBM at work, but like we said, we will show GBM and Masebo. Just wait for the 22 January 2015. Panga carrying cadres were found in GBM’s vehicle which had PF campaign posters. ECZ should have confiscated the vehicle from GBM. GBM is dressing UpDn cadres as PF supporters just to create an impression that the PF is a violent party. WE CAN SEE THROUGH FAT ALBERT AND WE WILL SORT HIM OUT

    • Well can we do it soooon because he is running PF campaign ragged!

How can all what you’ve said fail to get him arrested if there is evidence of it?

  21. Is ‘Bashilubemba’ the same as ‘Chitimukulu’? What about ‘Mwinelubemba’? It would help not to assume that everyone knows everything about the Bemba traditional affairs, so explaining terms could help a great deal. Someone school me p\ze.

In any case I’m actually surprised that the Chitimukulu (or is it Bashilubemba) hasn’t come out swinging and strongly to de-campaign PF in Bembaland. What they did to him and the throne is embarrassing to the tradition and it’s people. Do that to the Litunga and you would never enter the Barotseland Kingdom.

I know Lungu would want to distance himself from this issue but he was a minister under Sata and there’s collective responsibility. If you don’t agree, you resign like GBM. Hillary Clinton once regretted supporting the Iraqi…

  22. Besides E. Lungu likes to ride and campaign on Sata’s legacy. So is he proud of this Sata blemish or he picks and chooses what suits him? In other civilised societies these PF guys really wouldn’t offer any contest in this by-election as they messed up a lot of things.

  23. pf in lusaka has endosed rb and for pf to gain favour of the bemba in presidential votes, they should chase nkandu luo and edgar lungu for sendìng five hundred police men to bar sosala from asuming the throne.

  24. for pf to gain favour of the bemba in presidential votes, they should chase nkandu luo and edgar lungu for sendìng five hundred police men to bar sosala from asuming the throne.

  25. people are flocking to EL’s campaigns because he is unknown and so they want to see for themselves about the negative stories they have heard about him IE that he has hangovers most of the time.

    • I agree. Some Zambians go to rallies for two reasons. Firstly they are curious to see the candidates and especially if they have heard stories. Secondly it gives them something to do and breaks the monotony of daily lives especially those who don’t work. Rather than hang around street corners they flick to rallies!

  26. I’m pure Bemba and my grandparents belongs Kanyanta Manga Bwalya, northern province or Bemba people are above the royal influence and I can assure you basho élan can not talk openly as they know very well that they havelittle or no control over the Bemba speaking people. Secondly kasama is metropolitN as such the are a lot of none speaking Bemba
Thirdly Bembas are open minded people when it comes for association and making friendship. Late Mazoka and Mwanawasa received more votes than Chiluba or Sata. Infact President Mwanawasa won in Mpika with a landslide victory against president Sata not once but twice. So if the people saw some quality in Lungu looking at the massive development in Northern province then this will seal his victory. I have spoken to many and they say they want PF

    • Ba Pafwenamwine,

Mukwai ifwe kuti twasala uku konka ifyo ba kanabesa ba sosa. Mwe ba kuli ba Kanyanta Manga Bwalya, ama shiwi aya yali nga ayashiweme nakalya.

Efyo caba ku mikoowa imo – tabakwata ubuntu nse.

Bushe, muli beena nshi mwe lupwa lwa ba Kanyanta Manga Bwalya njipushe ko?

  27. @ Patriot Abroad, your views are wrong. C Kasonde is very right. What Kasonde is advocating is what all right thinking citizens must do to politicians who do not know that citizens are their employers! The subjects of Chief Chitimukulu now have an opportunity show PF who the real bosses are! PF KUYA BEBELE!

  28. PF CHEATED US IN 2011, THEY LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING
    -MORE MONEY IN OUR POCKETS
    – MORE JOBS FOR THE YOUTH WE SAW THE OPPOSITE
    – HAD MORE BY-ELECTIONS- WASTED OUR MONEY
