  1. There you go zambians and this is the man LUngu you want to bring to corridors of power. Just look at his reaction when he was fired by Guy Scott. And how he asended to Pf presidency. Zambian People please lets keep this drunkard criminal away from power otherwise Zambia will burn and you can kiss your so called peace loving Nation Good bye Forever.

    • my reaction is concerning what he said in Kampiri. About wiping out UPND with violence.. Now I see why he can´t condemn violence. I hope he explains this tonight. Dont be twisted, Iam talking about LUngu.

    • That cross for 4R president is not environmental friendly. Can you imagine all those people at HH rallies with crosses, that will be alot of trees cut.

    • What a waste of time. Nonentities in the presidential race debating each other! I hate to say this but @ operation owl, Zambians are already decided on whom they want to vote for and it’s the drunkard. There was a video circulating recently on whatsapp where an old lady was telling her family she was going to vote for the one who shakes when he is hasn’t had a beer. Trust she would rather vote for a drunkard than a “satanist” because whether you like it or not, once one is labeled a satanist in Zambia, their life is over. That old lady is a representation of the average voter in Zambia. Sad but true.

    • Stop lecturing everybody. Keep your propaganda to your rallies. Online media is for intelligent issued based discussion and sharing of views, opinion and experience. Nobody is a kid to be brainwashed by interest groups. To answer you in a few words – My vote is for EL.

    • You are mad, how does Lungu come into this article. This article is about the debate and the pictures from the debate and the first thing that comes to your mind is that EL is not suited. He has not even debated yet and is nowhere in the article or the pictures and you are attacking him. while we are at it why dont we bring in the tribalist Munkombwe, or the mason HH, or the woman who stole money from HIV victims Maureen Mwanawasa or the self confessed drug dealer VJ….I could go on and on…but do you think this would be the place for all that? You cadres are really funny! Add value to what is at hand. why dont you attend the debates and ask EL all the questions you want him to answer or if he fails to make it to the debate tonight then write an article condeming him or something after.

    • No one on these looks presidential maybe with the exception of Tilyenji and Sondashi, the rest look so useless. Its not just about positional but your appearance. people / nations will judge who ever a leader we select based on the appearance.

Where was Lungu?? He refused again?? the Man is not serious. NO VOTE FOR HIM

    • And why is HH always annoyed? Is there peace at his home? Where is his wife suddenly in his last days of being at the helm of UPND?
We understand his wife advised him of his impending defeat to Edgar Lungu and there is total chaos at his home threatening divorce.

      Can someone confirm this please?

    • Read the whole statement. He never said he was going to wipe out UPND but warning them to stop instigating violence for they were useless in terms of numbers and physic.

    • My blanked out word is $ata-nist. Ba LT since when did the word become vulgar? Yon can “bleep” it all you want the damage has already been done!

  2. He might be a drunkard has you have put it but he is the one we want. If he is not a factor to you why are you spending your time talking ill about him. Just leave out president alone.

    • Not a single one of these candidates is presidential material.very sad indeed! Dan Pule with that hat. What is he trying to portray ? Gentleman he is not, it is more thuggish. Tilyenji looks hungry. Is this Zambia’s finest really? Sad!

  3. Good to see that every effort being for our presidential candidates to sell their ideas through public debates. Hope the PFs, UNPD, FDD and MMD can come forward too.

Any highlights from this debate dear bloggers?

  4. Good to see that every effort is being made for our presidential candidates…. (sorry… I meant to say).

Please insist on the formal ‘Dress code’. Not just anything.

Please, please, no indazo/caps/hats, hanging scarfs…! These can be used for their campaign time in the townships.

  5. pipo of zambia ignore those who jst want to go to plot 1 with no experince. wat we wanted is the development an we av seen it in all parts of zambia plz give pf this yr we want the hospital in our area to complete whch they av started cos we cnt vote for someone who cant see wat the govment has done, hw can he complete something he has not seen? we vote for devlopment not to change govments any how as if its the sweeping rota which rotates until every one has sweept

    • @Melody
Oh honey, You gotta learn the difference between party and government.

It doesn’t mean that if the ruling party changes, all governmental projects stop. Building your hospital won’t stop. There is a money set aside for this. What we want is someone else to be in charge of the money and to use it properly. Again, your hospital will still be built, but with no one stealing some of the money just because they are in the ruling party.

I’ve explained it as simply as I could for you.

P/s Don’t use text speak. it makes you look ignorant

  6. Ifwe fwe benantweno twalimona kale ukuti tapali nangu umo uwapalako kuli bu President in the past, now, in the near future and most likely forever here in Zambia. Therefore, Zambians will continue to wallow in poverty as a result of leadership that lacks direction, credibility, focus, maturity, and wisdom mostly. Look at all of these clowns, clapped out, and fake politicians and you will agree with what I am trying to say. It may sound unreasonable and harsh but that seems to be the real case.

  7. THE DEBATE WAS BIAS AND IN CONCLUSION WE CAN SAY IT WAS USELESS COZ MUVI TV IS ONLY WATCHED BY FEW PIPO. OUR ECL CANT EVEN WASTE TIME GOING THERE, WE ARE THE GOVT IN POWER SO WE SHOULD HAVE USED ZNBC WHICH IS VIEWED BY EVERYONE!

    • ZNBC hid the head in the sad because your lungu has no vision to tell the nation. So what Muvi is doing is to carry on, with or without Lungu. Your Propaganda won´t save your Lungu this time around. 5 days to go!!!

  8. Muvi TV is partisan, why should Edgar Lungu attend that sham debate when they have already declared there preferred candidate HH winner on a questionable opinion poll? Edgar Lungu is better of continuing his campaigns with the grass roots than waste time with preconceived people.

  9. Eric Chanda scares the hell out of me with that cross of his. His face is craffy, akasote, everthing about this boy is just weird just like HH when he smiles.

  10. Zakeyo
This is a debate my dear and Lungu better show up ,,it has nothing about biaseness by muvi tv. Even znbc is bias but there is no bias in a debate because Lungu will be answering the same questions that will be posed to all candidates. Pf and Lungu are simply afraid of the debate,,and if Lungu doesn’t show up please Zambians dont give him a vote..period.

  11. What a missed opportunity for ZNBC to make money for their employees. You should have advertised the Presidential debate and let companies sponsor it. Presidential Debate are essential because it offer the masses a chance to hear from the Stakeholder about their vision and cause they want to take the country. We live the western world and they do the same. It is a good platform to sell yourself to the masses. Mind you in the west there no rallies yet no political violence and thuggery.

  12. Coster Mwansa should immediately upload the debates on Youtube so that everyone even in the diaspora can see for themselves who has what it takes and also who chickens out of such important events.

  13. I think these candidates did well to attend this debate. They’ve put their parties on the map and have respected the electorate.
T’is a small acorn that grows into an oak tree.

Before today I had no idea who Eric Chanda was, but now I know. Good going guys! Bravo!

And now we wait for you-know-who to accord us the same respect.

  14. I wish they’d shown Maliokela (sp?) sitting on the front row, resplendant in his green suit, holding a bottle of fanta.

    Laughter is good medicine

    • continuity of thuggery, thievery, corruption, nepotism and disorganisation..

Anyone is welcome to complete this list of what we don’t want – PF supporters included

  15. “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love” -Martin Luther King Jr

Yet in Zambia we try dwell on experience. LPM is the perfect example as he is the only president that had a soul generated by love. The rest can all go to where the sun does not shine!

  16. For God’s sake, LT how do you report on a debate with pictures only and not a single word on what the debaters actually said?

    Lazy, lazy, lazy!
