GREENS Party (GP) president Peter Sinkamba has said the dust will settle in Northern Province following the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba People by President Edgar Lungu.

On Tuesday, President Lungu with immediate effect recognised Mr Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people.

The President signed the statutory instrument to recognise Paramount Chief Chitimukulu saying the Government Gazette would be published this week.

Mr Lungu signed the recognition order under Section 3 of the Chiefs Act, Chapter 287 of the Laws of Zambia.

Mr Sinkamba said yesterday that the recognition of Mr Sosala as a Paramount Chief was one of the greatest things that President Lungu has done.

“It’s one of the greatest things that HE has done. Now the dust will settle in Northern Province,”Mr Sinkamba said.

He said the campaign and elections were quite exhausting and draining financially.

He said it was also good that the party has now the membership across the country.

“This is the greatest achievement. Now that we have foot soldiers countrywide, we will be all over starting next month till next election,”Mr Sinkamba said.

He said for the starters, a political needs countrywide grass-root presence and support.

He said there was an element of misunderstanding his campaign message of legalizing marijuana.

He said he strongly believe that it was just a matter of time adding that his dream would be realized as he was right.
