NORTHERN Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe

Reappointed Northern Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe has charged that it is now clear that the political career of Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba is almost coming to an end.

Mr. Sikazwe says Mr. Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, must be shaking that he has no following in Northern Province not to talk of Kasama as evident from the number of votes he delivered to his preferred presidential candidate in the 20th January presidential election.

Mr. Sikazwe has challenged Mr. Mwamba to withdraw his case from the courts of law and face the PF in the by-election and prove his popularity.

He says remarks attributed to Mr. Mwamba that he cannot plead with President Edgar Lungu are baseless because President Lungu cannot plead with him, but vice versa.

The PF Mpulungu Member of Parliament has since requested Mr. Mwamba to resign from the PF so that he tastes his popularity in the by-election.

    • yeah true that, no by elections. just concentrate on bringing development to the many Zambians , 4get about witch hunting please, fat albert is no longer a factor in politics

    • Totally agree. If you quarral with a fool you look more foolish. That’s why Edgar hasn’t mentioned any of those Iscariot s

    • Headless chicken advocating for bye-elections. Do these people even care where the money to hold bye-elections come from. That mans body looks too big for his brain…

    • Hard to believe this man is calling for a by-election in the few months that E.L has left till the next polls. You want to take money to by-elections just to prove that GBM is not popular? REALLY??? Mr Sikazwe should find some charity work to talk about on ZNBC not taking bets on the lives of innocent Zambians.
      Very annoying!

  1. Edgar hasn’t mentioned gbm & Co because they are not worthy wasting time on. Let them finish their miserable terms and save US from expensive by elections

  2. GBM is a joke. The thing about sucking up to people and not sticking for your principles is that even the people you are sucking up to look down on you.

    • @4.1 crane. I doubt GBM’s resignation had anything to do with Chitimukulu. I think it was because he felt Sata was side-lining him in preference for Kabimba. GBM thought he was the heir apparent to Sata. Chitimukulu was just a scapegoat.

  3. Ba Sikazwe tamwaleka kulanda landa. Mulanashya abantu no kulanda kwabula diplomacy mwe. Just be happy you have a job and work instead of always attacking people.

    • Unfortunately, that is what has got him that job. Being a vuvuzela without being analytical. GBM asking people to support HH and GBM standing in Kasama on his own ticket are two different propositions. The man doesnt seem to realise that a by-election is a very expensive exercise

  4. Mr Sikazwe, I’m beginning to think that you have nothing better to do. How is the president going to be seen to be working going by your tirades? You add no value to the cause. The people of Kasama will decide come what may who will be their representative in parliament. For all his apparent mistakes and weaknesses, I believe GBM stood on solid ground in light of what happened at the PF convention and to Sosala. At least he some principles.

    • Can you imagine that he wants people to go and start queuing up for another by election when his tummy is loaded with all sorts of foods and gasses. People have just come from elections and wants them to go back again as if they are toys, instead of talking development. Some calibers of our law makers!

  5. GBM is a spent force. Kasama voted for him because of PF and Sata. Now that he has gone to perpetual loser UPND, he should bid farewell to Kasama Central.

  6. Sikazwe should focus on bringing development to his area and not just concentrate on fighting someone he considers to be a spent force.

  7. YOU SIKAZWE, A FEBBLE MINDED LOYALIST. JUST TELL YOUR BOSS TO START DELIVERING TO HIS VISIONLESS PROMISES HE NEVER MADE TOTHE PEOPLE.
GBM WILL RESIGN FROM PF IN 2016 AND DECIDE WHAT TO DO FOR HIMSELF. GBM IS A SELF SUFFICIENT INDIVIDUAL, A TRULLY HISTORICAL BEMBA WHO STOOD FOR WHAT WAS RIGHT FOR HIS PEOPLE(the Bashilubemba, agaist the ???? who wanted to impose his own relative as Chitimukulu). YOU CAN HATE HIM FOR THAT. THE TRUTH SHALL REMAIN. HE IS NOT A PUSH OVER GUY.
Shame on you sikazwe, your mouth will run dry of lies.

    • I doubt GBM’s resignation had anything to do with Chitimukulu. I think it was because he felt Sata was side-lining him in preference for Kabimba. GBM thought he was the heir apparent to Sata. Chitimukulu was just a scapegoat. For your information, GBM’s mother was South African and for that matter he can never become a Bemba chief – we are matrilineal.

  8. If GBM committed an offence against PF by supporting HH then RB should also not be paid his former Presidential pension because he clearly broke the law by going back into active politics. This country will only develop when we stop rewarding lawlessness. And to imagine that the money being squandered is taxpayers’ makes some of us cry.

  9. GBM, Mutati et all exhibited courage and principles!!! Let us have more support the candidates of their choice in 2016.

Bye- Elections to abuse whose money? Does Mr Sikazwe know that the Government needs every coin there is in the coffers to deliver roads, health centres, and completion of Mushindo and Kapasa Makasa universities and more money to sommence construction of Nalolo and Katete Universities? This Minister does not understand a thing about the PF manifesto.

    Leave GBM alone.

  10. Please Your execellence, allow Kambwili to continue as cabinet minister. You surely need such to make noise on your behalf . Every village has trouble shooters atleast. Certainly he has learnt something out of this. As for GBM, HE IS NOW CONFUSED and needs your pardon. Please give him something and lets see how he behaves. Some people need just help. Money is not everything. He misses government I can see. Consider Catherine namugala as well.

  11. GBM,Felix Mutati,Mucheleka and Mutale Nalumango will never win seats in Northern under UPND.its impossible!!!they have taken wrong moves mostly Felix Mutati who could’ve taken up the presidency after Edgar Lungu if he joined PF!!!they can campaign daily for 5yrs but still lose to a PF candidate in Northern!!!

  12. Nalumango just resurrected at election time! She never did any tangible thing for her constituency in Kaputa! Can you trust such a chap? Mutati you had all chances to ascend to something better, but chose ukwingila kucimpelesha in the name of freedom of affiliation and democracy! GBM, forget about anything better to come to you in your constitueny (Kasama central). GBM you lack leadership skills you are just a boss, that’s why every time you fail to cope up with others and end up with frustration and tendering for resignation!

  13. “Do not bite the finger that feeds you.” GBM became so big headed, forgetting that most of his bread and butter comes from the government. Well, government will simply cut off his life line and that will help him lose weight…

    • Sometimes such things happen for a reason GBM is being shown he is nothing.. He needed this to come back to his senses but it’s too late bwana…

  14. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH OUR AFRICAN FLAWED DEMOCRACY!
Does anyone in their right mind/ faculties believe “Freedomway Cha cha cha Sikazwe” being appionted a minister will lead to Zambia’s development?
This man does not appear to have any idea what his role, as a modern post – independece minister is. Who on earth appoints such Noise makers to government?? This guy is just a stone thrower (Mposa- mabwe’), who would have possibly been handy in our pre independence Cha cha cha struggles for independence, where a big mouth, & brute force were handy, & needed to liberate zambia.
Please replace this guy with someone who understands his role as a modern post- independent minister, & as a result will add value to his department, thereby leading to Zambia’s development.

  15. Well, we have a few Byes coming, so we might as well tuck, The Fat Controller in among those elections.

Normally one would worry about the cost of such elections. In this case we throw caution to the wind. GBM IS A VERY HEAVY LOAD WE NEED TO SH.IT sorry SHIFT. Hic, hic…..pardon me I’m sure!

    Heave, heeeeeeaaave, Ho!!
