Gabon side Mounana send Power and Al Khartoum warning shots

Share

Power Dynamos’ prospective first round opponents in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup CF Mounana of Gabon recorded an emphatic first leg home win over Polisi of Zanzibar on Sunday.

Mounana beat Polisi 5-0 in Libreville to almost certainly book their first round date against either Power or Sudanese club Al Khartoum.

Cédric Ondo Biyoghe put the Gabonese club ahead in the 15th minute while Georges Ambourouet scored a brace with his first coming in the 18th minute before adding his final goal from the penalty spot in the 85th minute.

Bassirou Ouedraogo handed Mounana a 3-0 halftime lead before Franck Guedegbe scored his side’s fourth goal in the 77th.

Meanwhile, Power or Al Khartoum will play away in the first leg during the weekend of March 14.

Power currently trail Al Khartoum 1-0 from last Saturday’s first leg match in Sudan heading into their final leg decider on March 1 at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
