Kalu comforts vanquished Under-17

Share

FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya believes the Zambia Under-17 have learnt lessons from their participation at the 2015 CAF Youth Championship in Niger where the team exited the competition in the first round.

Chris Kunda’s Junior Chipolopolo side finished third in Group A with three points after recording two defeats and one win as Nigeria and Guinea advanced from the group.

This was the first time Zambia took part in the CAF Under-17 Youth Championship.

“The boys will go home with the necessary experience needed at this level,” Kalusha reacted to the team’s elimination from the youth
championship.

He revealed that FAZ plans to maintain the current Under-17 squad.

“We shall endeavor to keep this team. This is the same team we shall use come 2017 when Zambia hosts the CAF Under-20 Youth Championship,” Kalusha said.

Meanwhile, the team left Niger on Monday and will connect to Lusaka via Ethiopia.

  1. Yes, you’re right about them but when are yourself going to learn and leave Faz…Zambian football is not going anywhere with corrupt entities like Galu and Co.

  2. We went to Niger bragging to bring the cup and not gaining experience. KK11 in 1974 in its maiden appearance at the AFCON nearly brought the cup home had it not been for the “juju laden Zaire” the story could have been different. Which lessons to learn if we are coming back empty handed? To hell with this kind of attitude!!!

  3. Agreed Kalu is an “Actor” of the worst kind, just imagine single sourcing football coaches and tacticians who don’t give results.
Each time he attaches somebody to the team results are pathetic, lets hope the U20 team won’t be sabotaged in the same way as the U17.

  4. That’s the problem! what mexican expert analysis is he talking about? just giving a job to an old friend from his cruz club. They should have just taken a motivational speaker or Pastor to psych the boys not to be terrified of any team, be it Nigeria or what not. The talent is there but the Kaunda guy can’t psych anyone! The buggers went to just make money for shopping! Atase! when is Kalu’s time coming please? twanaka nama nonsense aya!

  5. Foolish analysts!! Just leave KING KALUSHA BWALYA ALONE. The man has written his own Great history that can never be erased. Where is yours???

  6. It leaves much to be desired about Zambian football, our attitude is poor how can you even say we came back lessons learnt. You are disgracing better you just keep quit. We are tired of listening to excuses.

  7. Enough of the Under 17 but that Janza guy with the senior team should be fired. Iaint watching any Chipolopolo games with him in charge

  8. No one can be marketed abroad, no strategy for the lads. Shame apon FAZ. @James Mradona failed to lead Argentina at the world cup and he was fired. There is a church in Argentina where some worship him like a god. With no results and plan, it is only comforting.
