Youths from the ruling Patriotic Front have threatened and resolved to seal off Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Mutembo Nchito’s office following a stay of execution by Lusaka High Court Judge Mwila Chitabo against President Edgar Lungu’s decision to suspend him.

Former Lusaka District Secretary Ben Siwila says Judge Chitabo’s decision was an assault on the functions of the Office of President and the Justice System.”Our position is that DPP Mutembo Nchito remains suspended as pronounced by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu in line with the powers vested in him.

To this effect, we as PF Youths shall cannot sit back and watch justice being short-circuited as we have witnessed with the stay of execution ordered by Judge Mwila Chitabo.” Siwila said.
He said to that effect, his youths had decided to mobilise and seal off the Offices of the Director of Public Prosecutions until the matter is resolved.

“As PF Youths, we shall mobilize and camp at the DPP until this matter is resolved.Zambia is not a ‘banana republic’ where an individual or indeed their clique can continue to hold arms of Government at ransom. We should also warn that we will not allow Mr. Nchito to take regular shelter in Judge Mwila Chitabo’s questionable protection.” Siwila declared.

  1. Lusaka times no!!! hahahahaha, that is not a PF cadre, that is a Zambian that thinks the herb is natural and profit leaning. Please do not tag Zambians of a certain appearance as PF cadres due to your wanting hits on your site.

    • PF is a gang of lawless youths. Now they will take the law in their hands and police will do nothing to stop them. What a banana republic this is turning to be.

    • @ 1.2 that was my question too. Have you seen that he has disguised himself? Maybe these are the foreigners that Kabimba was talking about that are brought in to vote or fight and kill people on behalf of these political parties. No Zambian looks like that. If you see such a person, greet them so you can hear the accent or if they speak any Zambian language at all. Quite scary.

  2. On a serious note, they should all be arrested if they dare do this. The DPP has been given a mandate to operate by our high court. Whether you like it or not, it is law. President Edgar Lungu is gaining points for letting our court system thrive, let RB and Nchito bicker, as the legend of the Lungu advances to skies uncharted. The decorum of intelligence is exceptional with the Lungu. Only Bo Inonge and Lady Nawakwi are at that level of brilliant ambiance.

    • LUSAKA TIMES REMOVE ICIWA CA MUNTU PF CADRE .
LET THESE BASTARDS GO AND SEAL RB’S RESIDENCE WHO IS RULING THEM .

PF IS NOT ZAMBIA AND ZAMBIA IS NOT PF .
PF WAS BURIED WITH SATA ,NO WONDER IS SO UPSET WITH WHAT LUNGU HAS DONE SO FAR HENCE THE PUNISHMENT.
LET RB ROT IN HELL AND LUNGU .

    • Why do cadres involve themselves in this issue? Nonsense! They don’t even understand the legality of the case and they want to be involved. They should be arrested. Let the law take its course. The problem with cadres is they think they are the law. I hope no one is inciting them.

  3. Are they trying to take the law in their hands.THE DECISIONS AND PRONOUNCEMENTS OF LUNGU IS NOT LAW,HENCE THESE CADRES SHUD BE ARRESTED IF THEY TAKE THE LAW IN THEIR OWN HANDS. IN FACT THEY ARE TRYING TO INTIMIDATE NCHITO. THEY HAVE ALREADY COMMITTED A CRIME BY THREATENING VIOLENCE AND THE POLICE SHUD MOVE IN AND ARREST.

    • Most of us believe Nchito did a number of wrong things and if proven, he must take responsibility for them. Now on this stay of execution, isn’t it something that is before the court of law and isn’t it content to comment on it the way Davies Chama and others are doing? If so let Chief Justice and minister of justice protect the justice system. Please lawyers educate us on this.

    • @captain thomas, you are inciting people in Zambia to be violent, you Try and do the same in USA and see what happens. Your behind will be dragged to jail where you will become someone’s mitch

  4. What do you expect. They never even had a chance to do civics in the first place. All they do is suck up and hope a few crumbs will fall their way. Meanwhile, the separation of powers is now evidently working as should be. This is reminiscent of the Chikopa saga. Where is that guy?

  5. Whats wrong with Kabova PF Cadres. They should be locked up.What do they think they are just a bunch of ignorant boys who have mental disorder.

  6. No no no, party cadres stop it. Much as I would not really mind how the cartel is sorted out, I must advise the cadres that this is too delicate and beyond you. You are spoiling the plot. Let the President and his legal team handle this one legally and professionally. Give the law and constitution a chance, don’t play in the hands of those scoundrels, we cannot afford to botch this case, it’s the only chance we have to sort these guys out, legally and constitutionally.

  7. PF whatevers need to know we have a government and law enforcement officers.

We don’t need your help. Go get yourselves jobs and earn a living.
You are not doing PF any favours by your foolishness.

  8. Lawlesness .. Where are the police force that are tasked to inforce law and order. This kind of during things with cadres if not watched may gradually degenerate into civil war. Government matters/affairs should not be handled by party cadres of the ruling of opposition.

  9. The police should protect Nchito this is way of order let everything be done by the law that statement by Daves Chama is very wrong can LAZ issue a statement please although people have lost confidence in you because you support wrong things.

  10. The judiciary should not work out of tandem with the will of the people and elected Leaders. It is not explained why this matter was dealt with I that way. To mere mortals it looks like someone is getting away by abuse of his position.

What is wrong with putting the DPP on stand so we can shake him up to see that he is innocent?

Civil action is part of the democratic process. As long as it does not break the
Law. There must be marches and protests. People must ensure the judiciary know they are unhappy. The accusations are serious, DPP must address them.

  11. Let’s not spoil a good case please! Nchito is fighting a losing battle. All these are kicks of a dying monkey

  12. The PF cadres should be advised to allow the due process of Law take its course. This is in the light of the administrative legal measures President Lungu has taken to establish a Tribunal comprised of Zambia’s most respected legal brains. No sane Zambian nor foreign opinion can doubt the integrity of our former Chief Justice Silungwe, Chief Justice Ngulube and Chief Justice Sakala.

The step taken by Nchito and his back-up fleet of Cartel to challenge this constitutionally accepted measure to probe Nchito as a person, is a dangerous thorny path.

If the membership of the Cartel persist in disrupti the legal system of this country to satisfy their egos, we may witness a repeat of history when James Skinner was hounded out in order to restore the sovereignty of the of Zambia.

  13. Nchito is standing on solid legal ground. The integrity and constitutionality of the tribunal are not in question. What he is aguing in part is the principal of separation of powers. If there is a case beeing adjudicated in the high court in which some of the issues the tribunal is set to invisgate are involved then there exists a possibility of interference and prejudice. There is a very important reason for protecting the office of the DPP. This is bigger than just Nchitos personal issues. This is a constitutional concern. The office of the DPP and the independence of the courts have to be protected agains undue influence and interference. Nchito may have is problems and for those I really don’t care. The office however has to be protected against erroneous precedent.

  14. More importantly Dr Syms the acting president has a firm understanding of the law. I am willing to bet he will issue a statement and will not tolerate such anarchy and lawlessness. Dr Simbyakula CHECK!

  15. I don’t care whatever happens to Mutembo Nchito or his homo friend Mmembe, bafitole aba.

  16. I will advise PF cadres to let Mutembo access his office though he wants to temper with files his time is over he is going no where

  17. Chama and all PF cadres, please note that ECL is not the almighty in this country. we are all governed by the rule of law…. think and read the constitution before you talk or incite hooliganism in your already drunk cadres.. there is need for you to understand what separation of power is. Am not a sympathizer of Nchito but i cant help and lament at your ignorance.
