Bornwell Mwape scores hat trick in Zambia training game win

Share

Striker Bornwell Mwape scored a hat-trick on Thursday afternoon in Zambia’s training game win over Lusaka Dynamos.

Zamba beat Dynamos 7-1 at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka as the team fine-tunes for Sunday’s friendly against Rwanda at the same venue.

The Amazulu striker is making his first return to the Zambia fold since the 2013 CECAFA Cup in Kenya where Zambia finished third.

Joining Mwape on the score sheet were Power Dynamos midfielder Larry Bwalya, including the Zesco United trio of Winston Kalengo, Jackson Mwanza and Justin Zulu.

Meanwhile, Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba including his TP Mazembe team-mates in namely striker Given Singuluma and defender Kabaso Chongo have joined the team.

However, defender Aaron Katebe of Zimbabwean club FC Platinum remains a major doubt after his club failed to release him.

  1. These are not games to report on. They are training games and of no interest to any genuine soccer fan. No player is capped for a training game. Ba Lusaka Times leave such reports to School magazines
