The misfiring Nkana front-line has received a major boost following the recovery of Ugandan forward Tony Odur from a career-threatening knee injury.
The injury kept Odur out of action for six months just after making four appearances for Nkana following his July move from Kampala City Council Authority of Uganda.
He scored twice before twisting his knee in a league match against Konkola Blades in the first week of September.
“Tony has fully recovered from the knee injury. He started training last month,” Nkana team physician Dr. Gibson Mambwe said.
“It is just a matter of fitness otherwise Tony is ready to play,” Dr Mambwe said.
Meanwhile, Nkana have not scored in their first two FAZ Super League matches.
Beston Chambeshi’s side launched the season with a 1-0 home loss to Red Arrows before forcing a goalless draw at Konkola Stadium eight days ago.
I believe in him as i believe in KAMPAMBA pa chipanda, lets wait & watch.
“MU KASANGA KALAMPA ALETAYA”.
Since when did Gibson Mambwe become a doctor? He is a male nurse for God’s. sake
The irony is that Power uses Mopani qualified doctors whilst nkana sponsored by Mopani uses Mopani nurses to manage its players
