Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) president Sepp Blatter has congratulated Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president, Kalusha Bwalya on his re-election to the CAF Executive Committee.

Blatter said the re-election of Bwalya to the CAF Executive Committee is a clear sign of confidence the African Football community has in his abilities, skills and experience.

In a congratulatory letter addressed to Bwalya, Blatter further thanked Bwalya for his commitment and passion he has shown in serving the African and world football communities.

This is according to a statement issued to ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today by FAZ communications officer Nkweto Tembwe.

Bwalya was on Tuesday re-elected to the CAF Executive Committee for the period 2015 –2019 after going unopposed.

Kalusha was among 12 officials who were elected to the highest African football governing body in Cairo, Egypt.

  1. This great prince, the son of the soil is unstoppable. He has fended off many of his adversaries (Simaata, Kamanga, The Post, Zambia Reports and the most powerful RB and his sons). When God has anointed, no man can take it away. I will have my gin and tonic to celebrate the victory of this legend. As the Bible clearly says, “A prophet will be rejected in his own nation but warmly accepted in foreign nations.” Go, go great Kalu, you are the anointed and blessed child of the soil. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Long live my hero and king. FAZ presidency will also be yours for life.

    • Vodga kwata umuchinshi Chagwa your views are exactly universal no additions. Go Great son of the soil go. Let Kamanga, Simataa and RB develop diarrhoea now. When JESUS is on your side no principalities can dare you. Long Live Great Kalu.

  2. @Njoka siyenda namwana, you can say that again…I just love your comment. Am in love with it, wow.
Haters will plot another move but the question is, will they ever succeed?

  3. Why are some people so jealous of Kalusha. If you can call good, this is all you can get in Zambia. Some people even join politics to fight Kalusha politically like ba Kasunga and Simataa who has now developed hot diarrhoea joined RB to have a patnership in pulling Kalu down. Rupiah went collapsed and cried like a baby. Accept that Kalu is Zambia’s best.

  4. SEE IT YOUR SELVES
World Cup known face Danny Jordaan of South Africa pulled out at the last minute…
Zambia FA president and Africa football legend Kalusha Bwalya polled 38 votes to be elected executive committee member of CAF for the southern zone while his close counterpart Kwesi Nyantakyi of Ghana bagged 34 to represent western zone B.

Bwalya beats Adam Mthethwa of Swaziland [3 votes], Walter Nyamilandu of Malawi [6 votes] and Namibia’s John Muinjo [5 votes]. Justino Fernandes from Angola and 2010 World Cup known face from South Africa Danny Jordaan withdrew ahead of the polls held in Khartoum, Sudan on Wednesday.

Nyantakyi, who was making his first continental electoral attempt ends Ghana’s 17-year wait and becomes the first Ghanaian to secure a place on the Executive…

  5. Congratulations ba Muvulira!

Ifwe from Wusakile are always happy when one of ours is representing us not just at national level but also internationally..

    High flying ball wizard!

  6. If every one who gets some form of recognition in Zambia has to be brought down, then who are we ever going to appreciate. No matter how good a person is, they will not be everything we want them to be. So at least let’s give credit where it is due.

  7. If you don’t succeed, people will talk. If you succeed they will still talk. So, keep on succeeding and let them talk!
