Zesco United and Chambishi FC will meet in the final of this year’s Barclays Cup on November 23 in Lusaka following wins in their respective semifinal wins played in Chingola yesterday.

But it took Zesco and Chambishi time extra-time and post-match penalties in their Barclays Cup semifinal doubleheader played at Nchanga Stadium for both teams to book their final place to be played at Woodlands in a fortnight’s time.

Zesco continued their dominance over Green Buffaloes this season to beat the armymen 2-1 in a game that saw two sent-offs for the formers defender Kunda Mushota and latter’s coach George Lwandamina.

Zesco took the lead in the 74th minute through Enoch Sakala before Morgan Hanjema equalized in the 88th minute.

Midfielder Rainford Kalaba clinched the winner two minutes into time added-on of the 90 minutes to see Zesco reach their third cup final this season.

And in the earlier semifinal kickoff at the same venue, promoted Chambishi beat Blades 3-2 on post-match penalties after their match finished 2-2 at the end of the 30 minutes of extra time.

Chambishi took the early lead in normal time through Edward Sinkala three minutes after the hour-mark.

However, Chipulu Chileya’s equalizer 10 minutes from time forced the match extra time that saw his team mate Felix Sunzu put the Chililabombwe side ahead in the 93rd minute.

But Chambishi striker Bobby Chola made sure the match went into post-match penalties with a late header two minutes before the end of the game.
