Ndola, Nov 20, 2007, Zanis – The MMD in Ndola has petitioned the MMD Secretariat to expel their provincial chairman Mr. Terence Findlay from the party.
A group of party women and youths staged a peaceful demonstration at the provincial minister’s office today where they requested the party president to expel their provincial chairman for ill conduct.
Copperbelt provincial minister Mr. Mwansa Mbulakulima endorsed their action and called on the secretariat to take action against Mr. Findlay alleging that his actions amounted to extreme indiscipline, insubordination and insolence.
He said he could not understand why Mr. Findlay chose the press to air his concerns when by virtue of being a provincial chairman, he was a member the party national executive committee.
The provincial minister added that findlay’s conduct should be dealt with firmly because it could create indiscipline in the party.
He said there was need to foster discipline in the party structures if the MMD was to win the 2011 elections.
He said national leaders in the party needed to exhibit tolerance and humility at all times.
He assured the party cadres that the petition which they presented to him would reach the National Secretariat today without further delays so that appropriate action against Mr. Findlay is taken.
And District Youth Chairman Mr. Richard Mofya said Mr. Findlay was a sympathiser of the past regime and should not be allowed to bring the new deal administration into disrepute.
He said Mr. Findlay’s conduct had disgraced the party and attracted shame on the party leaders.
He said Mr. Findlay has failed to cope with the high levels of integrity that President Mwanawasa has been insisting on in public office.
He appealed to Dr. Mwanawasa to expel Mr. Findlay from the party.
that is why you are loosing elections on the copperbelt because you are fond of pettitioning petty issues. I think Findly was right when he said MMD does not belong to Mwanawasa,s family. Can that warant somebody expeltion?

Let us be realistic. You don`t attack your own publicly like Findlay did. That is insurbidination.He should apologise even when iam not a cadre of any political party. MMD is somehow going done looking at what is happening now and they need to revamp themselves to be formidable. That is why you are seeing people like Findlay behaving like that. Too many problems in the party. And this is in PF as well.It is becoming the same. Too much bickering especially that this is coming from the top.Grow up

With Sata at the top of PF, its not the right party to rule Zambia. Viva HH might be a better option.

MMD are unravelling right b4 our eyes. Yes, Findley is right the likes of shakafuswa, and sports minister are part of the family tree and untouchables. Shaka is a loud mouth and cynical then the sports min is useless, comments after under 23 loss to Ivory coast meaningless. MMD does not belong to Mwanawasa and his cronies.
First lady has political ambitions lets dread the day Mwanawasa anoints his darling as President of Zambia. The lady like to see her self on the tube and the Press. Leadership is not playing to the public gallery. Where was Maureen before state house? Where will her MMCI be in twenty year’s time? Will the same donors be pampering her on the changed lawn somewhere in Wusakile? First lady must heed what Mama Betty Kaunda said in the Sunday Post, unasheko we!
Findlay should just shut up. He is an alleged rapist. let him concetrate on his defense in the court of law.

NO. 6 Roy am not a cadre. But we should look at some issues objectively. Findlay is behaving like this because he knows he is a fall out after the scandle in court. He knows anytime the axe will fall on him. What does he do, politicking to win sympathy from PF. I bet you that is where he is heading now. Watch him.

If MMD was not a family party then they would have all agreed with Findlay saying “Yes we agree with you, its not for Levy’s relatives, its for everyone”. But the reaction makes then guilty.
#5 FACT i agree with you,it was that shakafuswa boy that started airing his stuff through the media. sometime one has to challenge an ***** through his own ways in this case the media. #4 and #11 seem not to know whats going on and what they are talking about.
