Sata lets fall, the gauntlet

Share

The Patriotic Front has revoked appointments of four of its senior key members from the party’s high organ, the Central Committee with immediate effect.
The four are Chairperson of Transport, Peter Machungwa who is Luapula member of parliament, Chairman for Elections, Ernest Mwansa, Chifunabuli, Chairperson for Lands, Alfredah Mwamba, Lukashya and Elizabeth Chitika Molobeka, Chairperson of Women’s League.

Mrs. Molobeka has also had her appointment as Patriotic Front whip in Parliament revoked.

The revocations are contained in letters by the party’s president, Michael Sata to the members and made available to ZNBC news.

Dr. Machungwa, Mr. Mwansa, Ms. Mwamba and Ms. Molobeka are among PF members of parliament who have defied the party stand, for members not to take part in the National Constitutional Conference (NCC).

The PF said the four are in the party decision making organ and their action is not in line with the party’s aspirations.

Kasama Central PF Member of Parlimanet, Saviour Chishimba and Shiwang’andu MP, Celestino Chibamba have filed an injunction, to restrain the party from expelling members participating in the NCC.

  1. it seems Cobra used to be envious of KK when he used to “drop” members of the central committee at press conferences!!This potential tin-pot dictator(Sata)has started the ball rolling for the eventual disintegration of “HIS” party !!

  2. Why z Sata lying that these suspensions r not NCC related? C’mon man move on & let thoz MPs deliberate without yo interference.U hold intra party elections to get legal mandate from members to be PF’s top dog legally, otherwise all the best in yo puzzle

  3. Viva! Viva! Viva!!!

Mr President you must know that we are with you all the way.

Come 2011, I pledge my VOTE for PF.

We can not Spend K299million on making recommendations that will wont be adorpted.

K299million!!! While our pipo walop in abject Poverty. I cant belive LPM loves Zambia

  4. Uncle Dee(3),your president doesn’t need your vote in 2011..voting is a democratic practise he doesn’t believe in.Instead he is looking forward to be appointed president. In line with King Davids advice…if we don’t like it, we should apply for citizenship in another country where voting and democracy are considered important!!Parliament ,being a symbol of democracy in practise, will be turned into a museum under H.E President M.C Sata!!

  5. No 1, it seems you have eyes, but don’t see. If Sata successfully expels the renegade MPs, be rest assured that only few, especially in the rural areas, will ratain their seats. The rest will be part of history. Zambians are not *****s. If these MMD thieves think they will suceed in whatever they’re doing, it will just be for a while. Otherwise, I forsee things falling apart in the long run.

  6. Am really happy that H.E MR M. SATA, has started giving free lessons to the 27 hyenas before they destroy our party. I just hope the expulsions will be quick and furious

  7. Bye election campaigns will be a walk in the park for PF, not many of the ministers and MMD MPs will be so keen to sacrifice their sitting allowances to go and campaign for these shameless traitors, that is if they will be adopted considering the fact most of them e.g Machungwa, chitika etc are political prostitutes and very unreliable. VIVA PF, VIVA H.E MR M SATA

  8. Hey(5),
You have the brains and ability to rationally analyze issues beyond the demented brains of these PF cadres ranting from their forked tongues detached from human reasoning. While their beast called Sata is being dragged to Courts on a daily basis, MMD is busy reorganizing its operations, funds, membership and campaign logistics for a systematic assort leaving PF obliterated and in a crisis to emerge from the rubbles.

  9. #11CHILESHE Dream on, it isnt long ago when we taught your president, chuchu a chimumbwa lesson. We’re itching to inflict as much pain on the madrax as possible. chuchu’s chipumputu nelenda will resurface

  11. Ba Chileshe Chepela,

Are you in Zambia or abroad? Sata might not be the best option, but he is a rabble rouser. I can liken him to Jacob Zuma in South Africa…see how misfits inflict pain on nobles. For your information, Sata addresses issues that affect the masses. He does believe in the “isms” that tend to blind the intelligentsia. Just wait and see how Chuchu will again blame others for MMD’s humialiting defeat.

  13. The good thing is when sata wakes up, he will find the constitution is enacted, then he will be irrelevant to our nation.
Sata go expel those MP and most of us will cheer you down the gutter where you belong.

  14. Slowly but sure our obsession and blind inclination to tribal allegiance is isolating and eroding our Bemba place in the Zambian Governance system. We’ve become useless and undesirable.Zambia has started progressing without us due to our foolishness. Its evident that the country is holding well without our input. This is clearly a self created dilemma. I foresee a strong and united Zambia without our Bemba input. We are a people full of cheap hot air talk.

  15. #17,ulichipuba,are u bemba anyway or u are “katangiz bemba”?let HE SATA expell these greedy MP’s so that they join CHIMUMBWA in the terraces,no problem nangu twalusa kumishi..

  16. what is happening to PF is EXACTLY what happened to UPND.They foolishly chose the option of by-elections to replace expelled members. This strategy enabled MMD to mobilise itself and reclaim the majority of the recontested seats.
History always repeats itself and in politics the cycle is much shorter.Goodbye PF !!

  17. Iwe chi Kapasamakasa kafwile uko, wefwa yenda. If you have ran out of ARVs go and borrow some from the Ministers in Chuchu’s govn, who are taking them, I m sure they can give you and you can return back later when you get your supply. Otherwise this deadly disease will get to your BONGO!

  18. constant referral to tribe is not only retrogressive but is now sounding like a broken record.Moving right along…Sata is an asset on any team..you can count on him to carry out programs, defend policy and harness public support. But Sata as a leader ?????????Some people were never meant to lead but with them by your side they make leadership easier….that is King Cobra !!

  19. aaaha we are behind sata it’s all total nonsense to waste so much money when people are suffering shame ba cabbage.abashi NCC

  20. This is the start of PF’s death.Very soon PF will be the party of those days.Sata is making mistakes which other local opposition parties made and disappeared from the hot political playing field.I’m sure this is really good news for MMD.Let us wait and see where Sata is going.

  21. Sata got money from Taiwan, and he hid it. He also lied about losing his passport. At least these MPs are being paid in the open by doing a national duty regardless of the amount. Only fools are still thinking Sata will ever rule ROZ.

  22. Who says whatever contribution I make to Zambia’s development should be identified with my tribe? People like kapasamakasa #17 who misuses a great freedom fighter’s name for this blog are tribalists who want to make all of us think on these lines. However, like I have pointed out on this blog before, Sata is not a Bemba. He is a Bisa. Just because his language is similar to Bemba doesnt make him Bemba. If that is the case why isn’t Emmanuel Kasonde identified as Bisa?

  23. #17, your comment is very obtuse to say the least. Like Neuter says, you are misusing a great freedom fighter’s name. This country was built by great men and women like Kaunda, Kamanga, Wina, Lewanika, Nkumbula, Chona, Kapwepwe, etc., from different tribal groupings. They were Zambians foremost, their contributions were not regarded according to their tribe.

  24. Ba Sampa(17),judging from the way you structure some of your contributions there is a little more than a subtle hint of intelligence and above average erudition!! What puzzles me is your fascination with tribalistic utterances.Something just doesn’t add up!! Do you feel in any way inferior by virtue of your tribal origin or is what you write evidence of you at one stage having been discriminated against?? I mean no insult by my inquiry…you just have me baffled !!

  25. #17 Ba Sampa, please refrain from posting such nonsensical rhetoric. If you have nothing to say on the topic at hand it wont kill you to be quiet.Your generalisations about Bembas are baseless and unwarranted,to say the least.Surely you cannot say all your fellow tribespeople are fools.Zambia will progress with input from everyone, regardless of whatever ethnic grouping you belong to. Progress should be in all areas and not just on the political playing field.Speak for yourself and not as a

  26. Youngblood(31),
I know this denounciation on Sata and his surrogate dimwits here is beyond your comprehension.Sata is jerk he has destroyed our nationalist reputation. He dreams he could rule Zambia on tribal lines. You may have not head his lies and tribalism over Dr. Bwalya Ng’andu and Sebastian Kopulande’s retirement. It took these men to denounce his tribalism blantantly. Then he started lies of family tree using his dogs Masalamusi (33) here.He is a jerk.

  27. I would like to sternly warn people like Anonymous #23 to stay away from this blog. I have noticed that he is illegally posting on the blog after been barred for life because of his vulgar language and lack of logic to analyse issues at a higher level. # 17 is simply expressing his own opinion which I also believe is true and most of you chaps cannot just take that easily.
