  1. I know that there is life after death and this is possible thruogh the power of the atonement of Christ. Resurrection is Gods gift and may we look forward to our glorias resurrection dependant upon our works in this life. “This life is the time to prepare to meet God.” We will all die regardless of our status.Death is part of the plan of God. Let us mourn knowing that we shall live again see our loved ones. Rest in Peace Ben.

  2. This shows us that we need to be prepared for life after death because its part of us. But for you to reach heaven, you need to accept Christ as your person serviour Amen

  3. Go in peace Ba Ben, and may your soul rest in eternal peace.

    My message to the Chipolopolo.
May you clobber Sudan 4-0, may you hit the Pharaohs 2-0, and may you surprise the Lions with a late goal in injury time to win 1-0.
May you go past your opponents in the quarter finals and may you reach the semi final by whatever means. Whatever happens after that, i dont care.
Good luck mother Zambia. Nothing is impossible.

  4. From the rocking of the cradle to the roaring of the hearse, Ben chapter in life has finally come to a close. He was one of us, he grew up to with ambition to become one of the best coaches in Africa. He made us proud to have hailed from Chamboli Kitwe like him. He was no more a sinner than all of us.His passing away has robed us of our own generation hero.Perhaps his death must make us reflect on what quality of life we are living. Towards his end he dedicated his life to his creator. R.I.P.

  5. What a sad ending to 2007 for the soccer fraternity. May ba Ben’s soul rest in peace. God gives and takes away. We thank you Lord for the time you allowed us to share with our HERO Ben. We will greatly miss him and I know his soul is safe in your holy hands. May your spirit guide those who have remained.

  7. I may not have sided with Ben every time, but I admire his achievements in soccer avoer the last 30 years. If you ask those that knew him from childhood, very few, if not none, ever thought Ben was national team/coach material. In Chamboli, we had names that people ‘picked’ for the National Team, Benard Mutale, Jonstone Katowando, Shadreck Chungu, Mark Masumbuko, Jerical Shinde, Gibby Mbasela, Godfrey Kangwa etc. No one thought about Ben.

  8. It is the close of the 2007 chapter, a sad closing indeed. Ben proved us all wrong. It the year in which Ben acheived the highest feat ever by a Zambia, qualifying a foreign country to the Africa Cup of Nations. Where other celebrated coaches (Zoom, Freddie, Jan, e.t.c) failed, Ben triumphed. Ben’s determination and hard work paid off. How remarkable that the end of such an illustrous career should coincide with end of a year! GOODBYE BEN MYSRIP

  9. RIP Ben you were truly one of the greatest coaches Zambia has ever produced. I remember you shocking DRC who never lost at home with a walloping which was sweet revenge for when the leopards beat us 2-0 at home in 1973. The whole of Zambia mourns with your family. May your spirit take us further in all our soccer exploits.

  10. Ba Chanda mwilabepa ubufi just mourn peacefully. What do you mean where celebrated coaches failed? Zoom took Chipolopolo to the Nations cup finals numerous times. Is taking a foreign team to the finals a bigger achievement? Cant we just mourn without pointing fingers?

  11. Ben, your death has brought deep sorrow in my heart. I new you and your family having stayed in the same kitwe neibourhood.

Words cannot describe how much you will be missed. you have left at a time when no one thought you would. Such is life and the onus is now on us to shape our own destiny.

    Rest in eternal peace BEN!

  12. # 14 Which foreign country did Zoom take to the ACN? Read the article and understanding. Being the first Zambian to take a foreign nation to ACN is a very big achievement . You cannot run away from that. Do not just respond/condemn without understanding the context of the article.

  13. # 16 Also read my message. Its there for all to read so I need not repeat what I said. otherwise you are responding to your imaginations

  14. # 12, I hear you! Every Nkana supporter that had followed the game from Scrivener Stadium sincerely would never have anticipated Ben to have beaten other colleagues from the star-studded squad of the 1980s to become one of the most coveted coaches. Nevertheless, as scripture says God confounds the wise. A man full of discipline, dedication and humility surpassed even the most influential and every Nkana supporter watched in amazement because Ben’s achievement besides his hard work, really had

  15. Why can’t you mates just bid farewell to ba Bamfu, than start comparing his achievements with those of others. Its needless to
say that all those people, bamfu included, had their successes and failures, whether qualifying a foreign nation to CAN or qualifying zambia to CAN with unbeaten record to being embarringsly knocked out in 1st round is immaterial at the moment. Its the time to reflect on ba Bamfu’s life and give glory to God for that gift.
May his soul rest in eternal peace!

  16. It is sad that people are reading my contributions in #11 & #12 to comparing coaches. What I was simply saying is that Ben was not a Nkana Supporter’s favourite when he started. If you have been a Nkana supporter, the coach was always booed each time Ben was brought into the team. But because of his nature, determination etc, Ben endured and was finally ‘accepted’ by the supporters. For Ben to have turned around from such humble (if you want) to playing in the National team and becoming

  17. (from #21) an international coach is remarkable. To cap off his career with Namibia’s qualification to ACN is like putting icing on a very well prepared cake.

  18. Ben, you were a great coach and you we always be remembered by the people of Zambia and by the Namibian people. May your soul rest in peace and thanks for your service you provided to the nation of Zambia and to the Zambian league. Your family we miss you a lot however, God we put his hand upon them in this tough times.
