Former Works and Supply Minister, Ludwick Sondashi says he is the most suitable and qulified politician to succeed President Mwanawasa.
Dr. Sondashi said he has finaly made up his mind to contest both the ruling party and the Republican Presidency when Dr. Mwanawasa’s final term of office comes to an end.
He was speaking at press briefing in Lusaka.
Dr. Sondashi has pledged to sustain the fight aginst corruption if elected President.
The former Minister also said he will continue championing good governance and financial management.
He said he has a good relationship with the entire MMD membership who will be deciding on the next Presidential candidate.
Dr. Sondashi is among several Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) members who have declared their intention to stand for the presidency.
It is good to see that people who have a high standing in sociaty like Dr. sodashi are now coming out in the open to offer their services to our beloved nation, i totally support the move this man has made coz he is one of the few that we can look up to for the next president.
Sodashi you have my vote, i mean the man is a Dr. he has a clean record and he is trying to come up with the cure for aids, what more can we ask for in a leader.

To be President of this awesome country, all you need is to be a citizen, attained the age of 35, a member of a political party, …voila, you are in State House! The way things are going, we may have more than the record 11 presidential aspirants that we had in 2001. Right now, if an area is an opposition stronghold, hardly any development takes place. I beg to differ with you.Whilst i understand that everyone has the right to stand for presidency in our baby democracy,It is also important to fully scruitinise those with intentions to run for presidency.We shouldnt just let each and every jim and jack to run for ofice in the name of democracy.Remember,some of them can easily manipulate the electorate,especially in rural areas and get elected.That in most cases leads to people going into office when they actually dont even deserve it.One example of an mp from somewhere in Kitwe.Just because the guys owns a fleet of minibuses,he uses that to manipulate them voters and in the end he gets elected when he cant even read properl
First and foremost, do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. Let us stick to intelligible arguments rather than insulting our elders. Zambia is a democratic nation and hence Dr Sondashi has a constitutional right to stand for presidency if he is able to convince the electorate. I am not the north, but I found Mr Mulongoti’s position that he can not support someone from North Western not only tribalistic, but also unacceptable by virtue of his position as a government minister. Which clause in our consitution restricts the electorate to elect presidents from selected provinces? Let the people of Zambia decide who should rule them after Mwanawasa.
Somehow MMD is operating on tribal lines. When Prof Chirwa floated his name for Presidency, there was an uproar from the likes of Levy, Mulongoti, Teta, and other so called leaders. They asked him to start from the branch level. When this old scrapyard politician who really has contributed nothing to Zambia says he wants to contest, every noise maker in MMD who knows they need to be shielded from the crimes they committed says yes, come Sondashi. What nosense is that? MMD today has no face to feature. Even Levy himself does not really impress me. I see something wrong with this picture. Why allow Sondanshi and not Chirwa?
Lets us not even waste our time discussing who would be the next president for zambia .The wind of change has alredy blown on Dr Nevers Mumba. He is the Man who shall lead zambia to its destiny.No one will oppose that move .
Charles Milupi? Like I posted earlier, I remember growing up in the mines. This Milupi was one of our bosses at the top of ZCCM during those days.
We remember how these so called bosses were driving big Benz cars and allocating themselves big allowances. Old habits die hard, so let’s not export them to State House.

Once Levy and Govt says Magande, they will use all the machinery, the Tongas will automatically Vote for him and so will Western and NW together with Levys Central. They will win some votes in Lusaka and Cb coz the civilised dont want SATA but the majority of Kaponyas and the compunds VOTE for SATA. Eastern will vote similarily, so Magande will end upwining SATA and HH
