Kalusha scoops FAZ hot seat

Share

Former Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Vice President Kalusha Bwalya is the new president for the organisation.

And Kalusha has pledged to fulfill aspirations and desires of soccer loving Zambians by ensuring that his new executive, made up of mainly former footballers and administrators, works hard and deliver the wishes and asiparations of the nation of making Zambia a great footballing nation.

Returning officer Elijah Mendie declared Kalusha as the duly elected new FAZ president after polling 120 votes. 197 votes were valid out of the 199 votes cast. Two votes were spoilt.

” I, Elijah Mendie with the powers vested upon me in accordance to the FAZ constitution and the FIFA regulations do here by declare that the said Kalusha Bwalya is the duly elected President of FAZ executive committee,” said the returning officer.

Former FAZ president Teddy Mulonga polled 66 votes while Lusaka Dynamoes Proprietor Anif Adams polled a partry 11 votes.

Immeadiatly the results were announced , shouts and ululations thronged the entire hall at the Mulungushi International Conference Center’s old wing.

Kalusha was carried shoulder high by his supporters who had powdered him with mealie meal, which is a traditional way of cheering and congratulating.

Independent Malole Copntituency Member of Parliament Emmanuel Munaile beat his foes to become the new Vice President while the position of Treasurer was won by Ndola based Boniface Mwamelo.

The executive committee comprises of out spoken soccer commentator and analyst Macha Chilemena, Pivot Simwanza, Lemmy Nkuwa, Keegan Chipango, Angel Chitembeya and Violet Bwalya.

The elections of the new FAZ executive committee was held under a serene environment amidst tight security by the alert Zambia police officers who combed the venue.

And speaking in his address to the councillors from all corners of Zambia, Kalusha urged his executive members not to ‘honeymoon’over their victory but to work hard to fulfill Zambia’s aspirations of becoming a great footballing nation she was known some time back.

He was quick to advise the victors and the losers in the elections to bury their differences and unite to fulfill the Zambian dream of becoming a great footballing nation once again.

He thanked the councillors for the great confidence they have shown in him by electing him to the FAZ high post. he said his executive would follow its ‘ eyes on the ball’ motto to deliver.

Mulonga who earlier exhibited great confidence of returning the seat was conspiciously absent after it became apparent to him that he had lost the seat to ‘Kalu.’

However Adams lamented in an interview that he did not expect that the FAZ elections could be held in what he called ‘a political manner’ as candidates with money had campaigned using their monies thereby disadvantaging others.

He however urged the new executive to work hard and develope Zambian football.

The new Vice FAZ President on his part said the results were good as he expected to win adding that they ( the results) were good rewards for hardwork.

Asked if his new position wopuld not clash with his political calling, Munaile who has background of being a footballer and administrator, said there would be no problem in combining the duties.

He said football elections results were determined by councillors saying it was good for the Kalusha led executive to pay back to by developing soccer.

However, his losing mate Joseph Nkole expressed shock at the results saying he was confident of winning after he had campaigned vigorously for the position.

On the other hand, Nkole encouraged the new executive to work hard and ensure that football standards improve and continue were the Mulonga led executive left.

  1. Congratulations Lwisha. Let all Zambians support him and let us not repeat character assassination attitude that saw him bow out of the coaching job.

  2. This result was based on race. What experience does Kalusha have. Honestly, he was a great footballer but he has no experience at this level. Look at the way he failed as a coach. There is too much racism in this world it’s sad. I feel bad. It’s not just Zambia but in other countries as well. Sometimes I wondr why God didn’t just make us all the same colour.

  3. #3 God had his own reasons for making us different colours..I agree with you, there’s racism and intimidation on all the delegates that voted.Kalusha will be the worst FAZ president,to start with he no longer resides in Zambia and yet he wants to run FAZ.How do you run an institution on a remote control?Recently he lied about the KCM/FAZ deal.I like Kalusha and appreciate for all the things he did for mother Zambia but he’s so selfish and full of himself for nothing.Adams and Simataa where going to be the best top 2 to run FAZ,another 4 years of mass destruction of Zambian football how sad, very sad,so sad!!!Chankalipa…

  4. Sorry # 3 and 4 the people you wanted to win did not so stop hating on the great Kalu and what experience do guys talk about all the time just wait untill after 4 years then judge him on your stupid hatred bogus experience who think your poeple you wanted to win have shame on you suckers.

  5. #3 and 4 I cant understand what experience you want. The guy was vice president of FAZ for 4 years. People have gone on to be good administrators without the so called experience. At least kalu has been with FAZ for 4 years. Cheer up and swallow your hate for kalu

  6. Well done great Kalu, I think there is alot to come from you now, I so happy that the rants fro simata simata will now fold his wet tail between his legs, this simata has full of hate for Kalusha Bwalya, Cheers get the work done ‘Eyes on the ball’

  7. All kalu’s inadequecies will now be exposed. The chap is just bull dozzing his way into any position that he believes will give him more money. Remember he had applied for a position of coach in Zim. I hope he will not be sitting on the bench during matches as he believes that he is jack of all trades in football but master of none.

  8. All those who are against Kalu’s victory should just accept the results. It has nothing to do with money or race. Mind you, the voter were all soccer administraters and they know about soccer administration so well compared to you and me.Just consider the margine between Kalu and Mulonga and you still say all 120 voter do not know his ability but you.Shame on you are let us put all our support for the team to develop the # 1 game. We are all zambians and we want the best for our nation.Adams and Mulonga, you are all capable though they can only be one person in the office. I propose Adam to be the next chief after Kalus term as we have already given Mulonga a chance

    regards

  9. I have no doubt KALU THE GREAT will deliver. Problem is people expect miraculous things to happen in days. Experience is out of questions. Remember we have a heap of recycled politicians even in Chuchu’s government. But what do we get from them? Let politicians go mislead people and footballers hold the fort (Faz).

  10. VIVA Kalusha Bwalya, l am very proud of you and finally the zambian football may begin to move ahead. Alot of people back home are very jealousy of your achievements and busy to destroy your name. shame on all those who were doing that. Now show them you can deliver

  11. Well results are out and all is done Congrats to all winners. Next is action and that is what we want to see. No one should pass judgement now but let us wait and see happens next

  12. Well done to the new executive and what we want now is for you to swing into action and prove those who think you do not have what it takes to manage football affairs in this country. I also think that there is an element of petty jealousies from people who have lost and their cohorts. Congrats to both the wins and the losers and after all we are one people fighting for the same cause and so lets embrace each other and work towards uplifting the standards of football in the country.

  13. The need for Kalusha to relocate to Zambia is critical here. The man has to move his base now that he has gotten what he wanted. The FAZ presidency demands more than just presiding during meetings and attending congresses. He really has to have ‘his eyes on soccer’. The campaign promises need fulfilment. I look forward to FAZ being involved in self sustaining fundraising ventures. All the best the victors.

  14. Hatred does not pay. If your people lost then you keep quite, it is as simple as that. Some suggest that Kalu has no experience. First, what type of experience do you want from Kalu. The man has been on the pitch, he has coached before, he has been vice president for the last four years. In addition fifa has recognised him and appointed him to save on important committees. The list is endless. Now can #3 and #4 explain on the creditions of there losing candidates. Let us encourage and use Kalu to the fullest and develop football period. Where Kalu resides is not a problem after all he also has a family to look after.

  15. The electorate has spoken and we need to respect their choices. Congrats to the winners and all the best for the hard work that lies ahead.

  16. Personally i was not for Kalu, but since the councilors have spoken, all we need now folks is to give him and his new executive the neccessary support to help them deliver. Let us be optimistic, am sure Kalu will learn from his mistakes. All we want is for football to excell, but we should not hesitate to remove him if he fails. We did it when he breached the FAZ constitution by having dual roles. Otherwise congrats new executive, hard luck Hanif.

  17. Congrats the ‘Great Kalu’.You have proved to be just like that once again. We expect you to use your international connections to improve zambian soccer. We want to see you bring Brazil or France to Independence Stadium to play with zambia,we want to see an expertriate coach from Brazil or England to coach our team in the next 3 months.

    All the best Kalu.

  18. kalu….thank God! it feels great that people who think straight outnumbered the twisted ones to put kalu through!

  19. #22 Please stop this talk about expatriate coaches from outside Africa. Our national team is the only thing we have total control over. So let’s not surrender it to someone from Europe or South America. If we can afford to pay European to run our game then we should be able to pay a Zambian or another African properly to do the same. I doubt that Phiri is paid anywhere near what they would pay a coach from Europe. By the way Stephen Keshi is still looking for a job.

  20. #3,#4..what makes u think hanif would do a better job than kalu? did he turn lusaka dynamos into man united? ur hate for kalu is misplaced

  21. For now we say congrants to Kalu, you have our support and the support of soccer loving Zambians who know what you are capable of, thats why they have put you in that office. Let talkers talk, for us, it is “Eyes on the ball”

    You are the man!

  22. Yes kalu has won the election and we have to accept that. But for me and everyone who has a brain will agree that this guy is not suitable for the job. People Who voted for Kalu are just puppets and do not understand the game. having been the best player in the country does not make you the best man to run soccer. Now people who had ideas and I mean better ideas have been pushed away from administration and may god help us. another four years of misery.

  23. The man! Do you really have a brain? what makes you think you are wiser than all the voters? Its crazy how some people claim what they are not.

  24. Whats your problem with Kalu anyway, you don’t present real arguments as to why you think Kalu cannot deliver. All you say is because he is a former soccer player, which isn’t a convincing argument. Come on man!

  25. Give him a chance.. The clock has started ticking, and we now want to see if his football picth success can also be our magic in adminstration.
Kalu will have himself to blame if he does not make it. So he has a lot to lose and hope that will motivate him to work harder and smarter.
Kalu, congrats but pundits have their pens ready and Pangas to cut your throat should results tart going the other way.

  26. Let’s support Kalusha instead of criticising him. Zambian soccer is so dynamic and we have so much potential that I really feel hurt every time we get beaten by some useless teams like… never mind! It’s time for action, not more words. Natuleya ba Kalusha ba mudala, fi labeni fye ifi ma critics!

  27. i advise him to leave self centred leadership to the past, rent a house in lusaka or ndola, enough of j’burg camps, settle down.atleast finally you have scooped one position after a trail of position losses.

  28. didnt finish,we have let hanif lose because of being shortsightedness.if the vote buying is true i suggest the results should be contested either within faz or the courts of law.

  29. Hate masquerading as “reason” always brings up its ugly head. In U.S. presidential elections, a man who has been a lawyer for over 20 years, in elected state senate office for 8 years and 3 years in the U.S senate in additional to his civil rights work is deemed as “without experience” a code term! Kalu has been “football” throughout his life playing in three continental leagues, been a national coach, FIFA committee member and so on but he is still deemed “inexperienced!” It is time Zambia learned to appreciate what is brewed at home as good. We always kill and stone our own to death. Come on Zambia let us CHANGE!

  30. Leaving outside Zambia in a global world is nothing unless he misses daily loggings if that is the norm. In U.S. someone can live in Florida and works in New York or vice versa. They report for work daily and go back by night to sleep in Florida. But of course if he kills the administration by these schedules then, you may have reason to question him. But I do not see any case that that will be like an emergency and that will cost someone life just because Dr. Kalu was in RSA. For bigger countries, RSA is just like being in Zambia.

  31. yeah!!!!! thats what am talking about yeah Zambian love Zambians. Choma 1 and your family shame on you Yeah kalu go kalu show them you the man next time is for Zambian presidency yeah!!!! go kalu yeah go Kalu

  32. You will hardley see the man in Zambia. He will attend every FIFA meeting there is to attend. Some one needs to explain to him that this is not a top jop in FIFA or the european league but poor zambia, were building starts at dusty playing field. If we don’t qualify to the world cup there is no need to attend world cup meetings. Sitting on all the TV panels in the world will not help Zambian football. period.

  33. I kept telling these internet campaigners (one of them blogs under many names) that couch potatoes would not influence the realistic Zambian who is a genuine soccer fan. Some Choma guy preferred to live in his own dreamworld where he led a campaign of ‘Hate Kalusha because he is succesful already!”. I said at the end of the day soccer followers know whats good for them. And stop this racism talk! Mulonga is the same race as Kalusha. If Hanif lost he just didn’t sell himself well. He should take a leaf from Dipak Patel who is a popular politician and is normally voted for by blacks! You guys should just shut up now and let Greak Kalu take Zambian soccer to dizzy heights!

  34. good choice… now show us greatness and pride Kalu…

we want good results.. its going to be a tought road but i believe kalu can do it…

  35. Hard luck Anif. I know you could have done better but you were in a race against a household name in Zambian soccer history. If it were just against Teddy alone, I am of the view that possibly you could have pulled one your way. Try again after Kalu’s term or two. I am sure you will succeed. Congratulations to Emmanuel. I was dreading a Kalu-Simata ticket which could either have been unhealthy (looking at past history) or healthy to provide checks and balances depending on how you view it. Let us support Kalu and his team regardless. I am glad Macha is in. He is experienced enough, the kind of experience blind people cannot see.

  36. So, what’s going to happen? We’ll have the FAZ president appearing on Supersport talking about how Ashley Cole is indisciplined? Give me a break.

  37. Congralutions Kalu and your new executive! Seems you got the people you wanted to work with – this gives me hope. Please look at untapped talent especially in rural areas and schools and allow the national coach to make decision on who features in the team NO INTEFERENCE with his work

  38. Congrats Kalu, this is the best way to reward a hero like you. Zambian football is still remebered very well because of the inspiration you gave Chipolopolo after Gabon. We won the sympathy and support of every African and across the world. Even if Nigeria won the cup, we won the hearts of all football fans across the world. You were indeed a great son of Zambia and now here is another opportinity that has availed itself to you. I know your patriotism to Zed is 100%, I know you are going to make us proud, I know Zed is on its way back to glory, I know you can solicit great opportunities for our players, who is better connected than you? I m so happy Kalu, so lets kick the ball. God bless!

  39. well done kalu……….not that i wanted you to win i was more of Adams fan. i hope u deliver and prove me and all ur critics wrong!

  40. Congratulations Kalusha. The people of Zambia have spoken and all we have to do is accept the results and support the new leader of FAZ. We all know you have your own flaws, but do the best on what you can. Don’t be like the past administrations who thought FAZ is their personal to holder and instead of pumping support and funds, they were stealing from the boys who ran around on the pitch. Please don’t run FAZ like Levy has done to MMD. A good leader consults and listens to those who can help. You were once a good leader as captain, now you must be a good leader as FAZ Prez. You know what it entails to be a player and what is required. Put your vast player experience into practice.

  41. Congrats Kalu & Munaile! I just hope these elections are just the begining of greater things in Zed football. Congrats Kalu & Munaile! I just hope these elections are just the begining of greater things in Zed football.

    Percy – Kitwe

  42. #6..Mfumu one thing you should know is that never in my life have i been stupid and will never be a sucker like you,who thinks that merely expressing my well researched opinion makes me a sucker. To start with, what do you know about soccer administration?Playing and running a soccer team are totally two different things but anyway i will just waste my time explaining my valid points because you won’t and will never understand even if Jesus Christ came and taught you.You are naturally dull if you read my article well you should understand what i meant,i do like Kalusha so much.

  43. Peace and love to all. We should not bring in wrangles of Race, this and that no! We should just accept the results. I was for Adams and accept the results much as my candidate Mwamelo has won (Again don’t start questioning his nationality roots).

  44. CONGRATs KALU. IWAS NOT FOR YOU TO WIN. NEXT. COME BACK TO EARTH AND FACE THE USUAL CRITICISM FROM SOCCER FANS. COME AND LIVE IN ZAMBIA AND PLEASE GROW UP. ITS A NATIONAL JOB AND YOU KNOW HOW ZAMBIANS THINK BALL, EAT BALL, THINK BALL, DREAM BALL, etc. WORK ON YOUR INADEQUACIES AND MOVE ON.

  45. Am happy that finally football will be handled by the right people am sure the great Kalu with his team will do wonders for football in Zambia… I can gladly Play the Jimmy “song” its OVER OVER Kwasila mulonga a yenda tizakaonana Futi….. thanks zambians for choosing people who love Football … let simatama simata try farming we need people who have a taste for soccer not politicians who are trading the national pride with their selfish and unfounded principle .. at last Mulonga go and discipline your children not Litana Oky

  46. Congrats Kalu. Now focus on the World Cup 2010. I am looking forward to seeing you play even just 5 minutes at the SA WC games. lets go Kalu, lets go gentle-persons.

Congerats on your vistory to the rest in the new FAZ exec too.

  47. Kalu is like ‘Moses’ from the bible but in football terms.

I believe he will take us to the promise land(world cup). His only Pharao is MMD. But I believe with the power vested in his ‘ROD'(the football supporters), He will part red seas, bring water from rocks…and feed us with ‘MANNA’ (trophies) that have eluded us for years

  48. All you guys are out of your minds, what great thing can kalu bring to FAZ when everyone knows that FAZ is run by the zambian government, it 100% depends on GRZ and they are the ones who have the final say. Wake up guys, FAZ is not like the FA in England who have their own money and are 100% independent, who can bit a finger that feeds him, you think kalu is going to stand up to the people who will be giving him a wage slip at the end of the month, FAZ is GRZ and GRZ is FAZ nothing is going to change unless zambian football is delinked from gov`t.In short kulu has just gotten himself a job as a civil servant in the govn`t of republic of zambia, full stop.

  49. Eyes on the ball sounds good.lets hope this executive will be more united .Congrats to all the guyz, govt, faz and the soccer fans.

  50. There is one aspect that seems to be missed here.I am a very strong suppoter of Kalu but kalu is part of Mulongas adm and if Kalu did not agree with Teedy why didn’t resign. He can not say he is not part of the failure of the former adm.Can grat kalu explain what he is going to do which is different from Teddy adm? This is the kind of accountability that must be expected from those who aspire for leadership. Now that he is in the driver sit he should lay down a clear vission where he intends to take zambian football.Good luck Kalu.

  51. Alright the mess has finally been done. And congrats to kalu and the other new appointed.

I dont hate Kalu and I have had always praised him when he was on the pitch. But I will not make him the football god because of that. I will not be fooled becuse of his success on the pitch and worship him as FAZ chairman. For me Adams had the best long term plan for FAZ and I would have liked him in the top job.

Congrats Galu and lets hope you do an outstanding job. For me its now club football.

  52. The Elections are now over. The electorates have addded their vioce.its now time for everyone of us to rally behind the new executive, give them support they might need.Ofcourse to me Hanif had a better manifesto than all the candiadates but in a country where 70 % live in poverty and have no access to information it was always going to be difficult to sell such a manifesto. The best the new executive can do is get some ideas from that manifesto.Let us be united than before.

  53. Congrats Kalusha and your team. ‘ Umwana bamufunda pakuya’ the only problem with kalu ‘ego’ only if you drop that, than you can perfom well.Learn to listern from others and people of all walks of life. Development starts from bottom -up,not up – bottom. Its my hope and prayer that you gonna do better, I am pround of guys. Go Go Go FAZ!

  54. #52 How dare do you ask me another stupid question about knowing soccer adminstration just because maybe your great great grands owned a chipombwa united and you think you have all what it takes to enlighten me on the soccer matters you wrong and I dont see any valid reasons you talked about and stop being mr nice by saying I like Kalu so much what the heck.

  55. Congrats to the winners, iam just hoping that after 4 years we wont be talking out the same issues. we hope the new team will peform.

  56. Kalu, Munaile looks good combination, they are from Mufulira, played for national team, they are both interligient.

  57. While Teddy has accepted defeat and wished Kalu success, some country-men and women still continue to throw toys around!!. Kalu and his team have nothing to prove to individuals but everything soccer-wise to prove to our mother Zambia. Colleagues this is not a personnal issue and we must learn to accept that in Democracy, we have losses and winners. In opnion this is a win-win sitaution where Kalu is given a chance to contribute to building Zambia soccer, while Teddy has won time-off to attend to other issues – personal or ‘national’. I feel Zambian soccer is moving forward. Viva Chipolopolo.

  58. this is the best result in african football. football should be ran by footballers not politicians and disco bussinessman. we need abedi pele to head Ghana, milla in cameroon. next change should be CAF. we need change. bravo kalu! we love u!!. i know u will deliver. only those who don’t understand football will wish u bad luck. shame on all those jealous zambians. hate it or love it . ba kalu has won!!!!!

  59. It is sad that Kalu won that being said congratulations to him and his new team. I just hope they will deliver and will not destroy the game further.

  60. Ok i guess someone has achieved what he wanted…. now remains the great battle, we want to be in SA in 2010 no excuses

  61. Congrats to all the Winners. It’s time to work now and move the game forward. If your candidate lost just accept the results cos your mourning now won’t help or change the results.
    Chapwa.

  62. It has finally happened! Go Kalulu, go. The sky is the limit.
What does one say other than to say “well done” and stay blessed!

  63. austin makota, point of correction, its joshua and not moses that took israelites to the promised land.
    g’day

  64. You chaps who hate anyone succeeding in what ever they do waste too much of your precious times, and for this you will never succeed yourselves! Stop hating others for their achievements! you must be both blind and deaf not to have seen or head about what good things Kalu has done about Zambian football.

  65. Congratulations ba Kalu, personally I think this guy will deliver the goods, as for those talking about Hanif and the race issue, I think you are just being myopic and unnecessarily emotional and besides what is wrong with having a black man rule? I am not very sure we have any other association being run by a former footballer in africa. Look at the results being delivered by Michelle Platinin in Europe. But I forget this is Africa where we invest more energy pulling someone down other than helo them run with the issue and contribute in anyway you can after all for those in Lusaka you can even suggest something and drop it at FAZ house if you have a brilliant idea. Otherise I have a little

  66. Hmm is it Jesus or Juses using the word we mbwa we.
Ok ba Kalu congrats big time hope you are going to prove wrong these kafulusasa criticising you. We needed a change ane change has come hope its for the better. Ba Hon Munaile Vice president? kaya do it kool man gud lak all.

  67. bit of confidence in the current president, about his executive, Munaile for me does not make the grade!

  68. Mwamoneni icha chine, it is the vice i am concerned about, The others Macha, Bonny I know, Henchel what is it that he is bringing to this executive, the bottom line is the executive is quite diverse and for once we need someone who gets hurt when zambia loses and I think these guys do

  69. well done great kalu,i have confidence in you like the days you used to show you magic on the pitch..those who are bringing up negative scenarious dont think and they should use there heads to think not there feets

  70. zambian it is time we learn to vote on merit,Kalu is a player and we recognise the achivement he made.On administration he has failed, vice president, then coach no postive results.what new ideals will he bring in as a president now when he failed to do so as vice/coach.95 use the brain not the head

  71. Great Kalu, work and deliver. If you going to decide to work remotely that is your business, what we need is Sports development in Zambia. If you moved to Zambia better, because we will not need to watch like Dstv nor GTV. Help us grow like our our olden days. Lwisha, lwisha, lwisha. Those that have lost work with the new executive, remember the interests of Zambians not those of your own. We appreciate!

  72. Congrats the Great son of Africa, we need ex footballers to run football. I wish you all the bestand that you succeed in whatever you do. God bless.

  73. #52 Mfumu it seems you are behaving like Chuchu,it just explains how right i was by saying you are dull.Look at you saying rubbish you also don’t know anything about soccer just because you play ichimpombwa ku bedroom doesn’t make you an expert and i have a right to ask a question but not to a sucker like you who plays the now it all type.If anything am just wasting my precious time answering to you back…Just do us a favor Mfumu, stop talking nonsense and if you want to show every blogger your stupidity and retardness just reply again and people will judge who the fool is!!!

  74. # 100 Listern up I don’t give it a damn what other bloggers say cause this was between me and you asking you to stop hating with your ill researched whatever you said it was, anyways since now you’re developing cold feets I will arrest my case and focus on positive comments from selfless bloggers, nice try me behaving like your uncle chuchu mmmm lol stop hating on me now we both Zambians this isn’t life and death I was somehowever pissed off with your comments take care it’s bygone.

  75. Well done great Kalu and good luck with your appointment by the people who believed in you, in regard for been the best candidate for the job. May the lord bless you from your heard to your toes. I wish you all the very best and of course your former teammate Munaile as well.

  76. PEOPLE NEGATIVE SENTIMENTS ASIDE. ITS TIME TO UNITE BEHIND THE GREAT KALU LED ADMINISTRATION AND GIVE IT A CHANCE. I AM VERY PROUD OF ALL WHO MADE IT AS WELL AS ALL WHO DIDN’T. FALIURE OF KALUSHA IS FAILURE FOR THE WHOLE ALL OF ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL. I KNOW THERE ARE HATERS AND LOVERS ALIKE SO FOR THE GOOD OF ZAMBIA LETS UNITE AND BACK KALU AND HIS EXEC 100%. LET US BE UNITED NO MATTER WHAT WE THINK OFF INDIVIDUALS. UNITY IS ZAMBIA’S GREATEST ASSET THAT IS WHY WE HAVE NEVER HAD WAR, SO LET US NOT PASS JUDGEMENT UNTIL AFTER FOUR YRS. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

  77. Kalusha was the Vice chairman in the Mulonga Admin. What did they accomplish???????Nothing!!!!! Of course he will try to justify this by saying he was not incharge. But why didnt te resign if we felt things were not ok???Let me borrow Barack Obama’s line “To expect any different results from the same old players is an illusion”.Kalu was the national coach.Any success???NO!!! Kalu we appriciate you were are great player and i take of my hut to you.But that does not give you the resume to run FAZ.Another 4-5 years backwards!!!!!

  78. Congrats Great Kalu. You have the international networking we need to restore the soccer dignity of our country. Expose those boys!!!!

  79. #101 Mfumu i hear you but i didn’t develop cold feet neither did i do a poor research on Zambian football.Lets just say we both know a lot about soccer and we just differed on Kalu thats all….For your information i love you my brother it doesn’t mean that, when we disagree i hate you awe tefyo chaba and by the way where are you?Am in Canada..

  80. I never fancied Kalu but He won the Elections there is no need to be bitter. He has been mandated by Zambians and the Faz constitution to lead Zambian football.Lets support, advise and encourage the new executive. Our eyes should be centred on the year 2010 and not who is leading Faz as at now. Those of us have who meet our soccer players, lets encourage them to work and train harder individually. If we are to achive positive results lets not concentrate just on FAZ.we are soccerfans we are more powerful than Faz President. Our Players lack confidence and its us the soccer fans who can instill that in them

  81. Those of you talking of Kalu s international contacts, please country men be real, how will those contacts help us?We all know where our source of failure is,lack of seriously, determination, confidence, metallity and infighting in Faz plus the poor league.Countrymen our source of failure is not lack of contacts.lets first clean the inside of our house and to do that we dont need any contacts.Finance Minister Magade is one of the most internationally connected persons in Zambia (Corporate world)but I dont think his success has anything to do with that nor is zambia seriously gaining from that.

  82. # 107 Am in US my dear country men so on a light note howz Cananda and whats new happening as you know here it’s Obama show biz so far, buddy take care of yourself all the best it was just one of those things and lets hope soccer will take a new turn in mother Zambia what do you think.

  83. Ba kalwisha muyicindike you need to a your wife where do you live in south africa or in canada or Zambia. Give us 100 points which you will work for faz

  84. #110 Hey biggy Canada is quiet politically but its cold and this time around its now getting warmer.Yeah i have been following the Obama show with keen interest but do you really think the KKK will spare him should he succeed?Thats just my main fear…….On Zambian soccer i just hope something new will be done,Zambian soccer should start being exciting and take us to a level where we will stop watching the English premier league in favor of our own, just look at the South African league…

  85. Ala if there is any person that wish Kalu dead, is Simata squared. I don’t understand.Simata cannot equal Kalu’s success.Impossible….! Simata is talkative for nothing and he has little leadership skills.

Therefore, Kalu, watch out for people like Simata Squared. They are full of hatred for nothing. And he is wishing you bad luck.

    Bravo, Kalu!!

  86. Kalu congratulations. FAZ is not a tree of loose money neither should it be a play yard for retired players. Winning a small election is not enough, we need ideas of making FAZ self sustaining and restoring the lost glory in football.

We will flush you out like Teddy unless you bring sanity to FAZ and your team is credible, honest and accountable .

  87. I feel that John is wrong by insinuating that the FAZ elections were based on racism and wondered why God did not create us (humans)in the same colour. I feel sad to read this kind of reaction. I live in the UK and we got all sorts of people in a various positions regardless of race creed or colour. It is a matter of equal opportunities and competion the best candidate wins.As much as other respectible business men have contributed to development of football in Zambia; it is out of personal interest and not at gun point. I feel that the election was just tightly contested and somebody had to win anyway. I personally dont subcsribe to Zambian football nor do I take sides. Think first…..

  88. VIVA GREAT KALU … This is the only way we can say “thank you” to your decades of total dedication to Zed.But, pls stop being an analyst on SS3, you are a pres now.

  89. Another chapter, what can we say- Only wish we can be a force to reckon with again. Congrats Kalu and team

  91. Congratulations GREAT KALU,….like i said before the elections…You are the man for the Job….Please Soldier on and bring glory to Zambia…..I know you are not going to do it alone, you will need even people like Simataa Simataa and others…..(who are always in the PHD category)… to achieve BEST of the BEST….make sure you extract the negative sentiments carefully and convert them to positive results……May the Lord guide you thru en’thru

  92. Another Hero has made it .Congrats and stay focused Kalu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let the memories of the early 1990s come back.As you helped revive the National Football Team after the Gabon disaster with Munaile and others do like wise.

Support you shall get and performance we demand.

THANK YOU ALL SOCCER LOVERS IN ZAMBIA. I MISS THE KK11.
