Minister warns Father Miha over CB Province Remarks

Share

Copperbelt Minister Mwansa Mbulakulima has warned father Miha of the Catholic Church to stop issuing statements against Republican President Levy Mwanawasa and his government.

Mr Mbulakulima issued the warning on Monday afternoon during a press briefing in his office.

He said statements attributed to Father Miha in the media were in bad taste and wondered whether the catholic clergy was misquoted.

” It is important for father Hiha at his age to give a mature and responsible example in issuing statement that were sensible and in the interests of Zambians, ” he said.

However when contacted for a comment Father Miha said he could not react to the minister’s press briefing because he had not read the newspaper article about his concerns.

He said he did not know whether what was attributed to him was what he said or not until he looked at the article.

Father Miha however admitted that he had said the Copperbelt province had been neglected since the first Republican Kenneth Kaunda’s era.

He said that most people on the Copperbelt did not know where the money from the copper mines in the province was going.

However, Mr Mbulakulima said it was also important for the Catholic Church to state its position on Father Miha’s statements.

He wondered whether the Catholic Church could take such a stance against government’s developmental programmes.

The provincial minister said it was common knowledge that the Copperbelt was a huge foreign and local investment destination because of the good and progressive policies of the current government.

He challenged Father Miha to scout for space in the industrial area which was idle becuase most of it has been taken up for various investment activities.

” Father Miha should take time to visit Chingola, Chililabombwe and Kasumbalesa to see for himself the rehabilitated road infrastructure by President Mwanawasa’s administration has put in place as a support measure towards the easy movement of both human and cargo traffic,” said the minister.

He added that the church was the country’s cornerstone because when politicians differed, they found the church as a unifying agent and mediator.

He added that when politicians’ emotions were high, the church was a good forum to cool their emotions and reconcile whose role government appreciated.

He said the Church should not lose its good position in the country by casting doubtful statements from a section of the clergy like father Miha.

He said if the clergy in question was about to retire, he should leave Zambia peacefully.

He said Father Miha would not be welcome if he leaves the country in confusion.

  1. what road is this Minister talking about. Was it not last week somebody in Lifestyle section complained about the narrow road to chingola with lots of trucks. Maybe it’s the minister who needs to visit these places he is quoting. The copperbelt has been in in decline under MMD and the football from there now speaks volumes. Father Miha is right on this one

  2. Mbulakulima is another punk with a big mouth and a small brain: what is copperbelt cursed with: first there was Kamalondo, then Kangwa Nsuluka and yet another hothead in Mbula-ku wateva. Fr. Miha is real about it. show the country where the copper dollar goes! be man enough. stop threats zambia is not 4 mmd. Fr. Miha thanks much padre!

  3. As much as i appreciate the fact that every national has the right to speak their mind about their country,I find saddening that some of these ”fathers & brothers” wanna discuss politics in the first place.I was educated at a catholic boarding school and i have no good words about the deeds of these people,i suggest people like Miha,Urmberto or whatever he’s called & the rest we always read about stick to pretending to preach the word of God instead of always being at loggerheads with politicians, politics is dirty so if these fathers get into politics then they are dirty too.

  4. # I wonder why some of people on this blog get so easily distracted like my 2 year old son. It’s not the characters of Priests on trial here or even that of politicians. The issue he is that the copperbelt has been neglected by the MMD and lets either prove that wrong or just agree with the Father, and heap praise on the minister. That is the issue here

  5. blame chiluba for the current state of affairs on the CB!!!! The CB regarded chiluba as untouchable, now my friends THE CHICKENS HAVE COME HOME TO ROOST!!!

  6. Its hillarous that Mbulakulima can even suggest that there is development on the Copperbelt. As a Ndola thouroughbred, I have seen the city decay right in my eyes and everything is stagnating. The copper mines might be churning out millions of dollars, but there is no social responsibility with these companies. Fr Miha has a right to speak his mind, because CB is not what it used to be – Bo Elder.

  7. “He said that most people on the Copperbelt did not know where the money from the copper mines in the province was going.”

The above is the bone of contention. Now, will the responsible minister and his minions respond!!!!!

The father is sounding a warning for those solowezi mining belt.

  8. Chanda Phiri @#7,No one is getting distracted, the point here is that religion and politics don’t mix and am sure even my own 2 sons & my 15 year old step daughter know that too.

Bert@#6 Yes,they do a few good things like giving the best educution for you to pass and most students from their schools are disciplined because they are basically holed up in one place without much freedom, that’s what happened to us but we would sneak out at nite to drink and sleep with our local ”girlfriends”and in the process bumped into each other with the so called fathers also with girls, drinking & smoking, one father was deported for infecting one local girl with an untreatable STD linked to dogs.

  9. It is amazing how some people react so quickly to posive critism .Father MIHA pointing it out that copperbelt province has been neglected is no crime at all. If anything this should just be an awakenung call to those politicians always thinking of developing Lusaka from the money taken from the mining companies on the copperbelt like Kitwe , chingola etc.Look at the councils on the copperbelt – Appaling.
Keep on talking father Miha we shall be supporting you through this media .I just hope politicians take time to access this site.

  10. Mwansa Mbula-mano should just concentrate on his bootlicking skills rather than issuing meaningless warnings. Indeed the truth hurts.
And Zeddy you sound like you’ve got bitterness issues. If you had a rough time at a catholic school it doesnt mean catholics shouldnt speak agaisnt the shortcomings of the government. My guess is you were just an underperformer who couldnt keep up with the high intellectual and disciplinery demands which are typical of catholic schools

  11. # 11 you ve got your facts wrong. Religion and politics do mix bacuse we as pipo exist under both. Therefore, the clergy can comment about issues of governance just like politicians do need spiritual guidance. Even Jesus said give ceaser what belongs to ceaser. The only thing that might bring conflict is when the clergy become fuly active in politics.Otherwise, they can still remain preachers and still talk for the voiceless. As for you misbeaving at school, its perfectly normal learning institution. And fathers being imoral, it happens everywhere not just catholics. Humans are weak, priests included.

  12. My translator told me MbulaKulima means, ” Lucky me, I grew my own food”. Sure some of these ministers are portraying how some peasant farmers where made advisers to king Nebuchadnezzar. So far I have met so many smart people in Sambia, and I wonder if Levy was inspired by the “Egyptian Book of the dead” when appointing most of his ministers.

  13. Positive criticism is always welcome as long as it is justified however some of these fathers, brothers, pastors and deacons etc just speak without even knowing what they are really talking about,am not gonna go deeper to argue my point coz it’s unnecessary.Back in the days,Zambia solely depended on copper & reserves dwindled forcing investors to go causing the copperbelt to come to almost a standstill, the Structural Adjustment Programme also made things worse but now we can see the benefits slowly, things cannot be improved overnight, govt has critical issues to sort out for the whole nation so that father should stop accusing the govt the way he did.

  14. Zed, if the copper deposits on the CB dwindled, why has production increased now? How can you explain that? You are right by saying the SAP made things bad and this in itself is an admission that the government messed with their policy implementation. So in short you are agreeing with father Miha only you dont realise it.

  15. #13 Anonymous
Thanx for your laughable comments,i give credit to the catholic school because they taught me well so i will ignore your statement which says under-performer ha ha ha ha ha ….as i have never been one, thanx to them for helping me to be who i am today.

#14 Everyone is prone to make mistakes but it doesn’t help when you’re loud mouthed, that Miha should check his facts before speaking on things he doesn’t really understand. It’s not right for preachers to say the people don’t know where money from copper is going, basically he’s saying govt is stealing & has he got facts to prove that?

  16. One wonders why our ministers are quick to react,it does not matter weather MIHA is right or wrong, the fact is coperbelt is even developed than other parts of the country, has Hon ,minister traveled to Shangombo and Chama to see for himself how the country is since MMD 1991, the comments were not directed at Mwanawasas new deal administration only, but to the other past administrations.

  17. Paul M @ #17
Production has increased now because it’s the private sector controlling operations, they have invested more and always explore to find more resources other than concentrating on one site with limited resources like the parastatal ZCCM did .
The price of copper has gone up & demand for copper is high especially from China so they have invested heavily. The govt will only start getting something substantial now after the revision of royalties & corporate taxes so benefits will be seen and that is why i find it premature for Miha to say the govt is stealing coz they don’t run the mines and were previously getting peanuts as royalties and thru tax.

  18. Since when did Fr miha become a spokesperson for the people on the CB? The majority of MP’s on the CB are PF, a populist party, they are the ones that should be commenting on such issues. But i guess Fr Miha will say that bread and butter issues are affecting his congregants and thus he has the right to issue statements on their behalf? No, what I think he should do is give his congregants a Tithe relief for a few years, you know what i mean like a tax relief, he should ecxempt some of his people from bringing offerings

  19. Zambia is a Satanic nation because when good clergy speak for the poor masses MMD cadres shoot them down. What is christian about Zambia? In Zambia only bootlicking clergy are liked by our crazy politicians. Mwansa-Mbulamano don’t mess with the church,God will deal with you!

  20. Who is father Miha and what is he doing in Zambia? If hes a catholic priest he should concentrate on shepherding his flock. The same priests admitted that the catholic church is full of drunkenness and immorality. Its because men of priests like him who concentrate on politics and material things. The have neglected the spiritual needs of the church.

  21. #26, you hit like a hammer,Zambia is not a christian nation, never was and will never be,all those crazy pastor christians we know who anointed it with CHILUBA turned out to fake.

  22. I have criticised Miha and i ain’t no MMD cadre neither i am affiliated to any party.I simply look at policies of a party and either agree with some of them or disagree but off course am nothing and cannot influence people but a priest can influence the people to turn against the govt if he doesn’t watch his utterances.A father is someone of high standing & is respected in society and because many people believe the clergy is always right, they are believed even when what is coming out of them is absolute crap just like Miha’s crap,he’s talking of the govt stealing money realised from copper without facts or proof.

  23. Zeddy, I am worried that you may be the next person to suffer a bleed. I just hope you dont have hypertension or any known cardiac(heart) problems. You are overworking yourself. You cant manage to answer and correct each and every blogger. Take care of your back and the neck as well.

  24. Politics deals for the well being of people. Religion does the same. So, let us agree on this and accept that when religious leaders praise the govt, we don’t go running around crying foul. Now that they criticize the govt, they are such bad people. All you want is to take their prayers. How hypocritical and silly do some of you and that Mbulamano (Mbulakulima)sound.

  25. Zeddy,
my man do u get paid by the MMD?Because if you dont, you should? You are the biggest MMD supporter on this blog.To serve you the trouble I shall not support Fr Miha tonight.
    Have a good night.

  26. I don’t care much about this issue. What i do care about however is why Zambia only has one City. Yes we all know Ndola and Kitwe where declared Cities but they do not look like cities to me.

    Zimbabwe has
    – Harare
    – Bulawayo

    South Africa has
    – Johannesburg
    – Cape Town
    – Durban
    – Port Elizabeth

    Nigeria has
    – Lagos
    – Abuja
    – Port Harcot

    Even Malawi has
    – Lilongwe
    – Blantyre

We need more cities. We just cant rely on Lusaka.

We need Lusaka, Livingstone, Mazabuka, Chipata, Ndola to be cities which portray the look of a city (Tall buildings, highways, Shopping Malls, Hotels, Industries).

  27. I am hopping after the railway is completed, Chipata grows into a city. It must industrialize and companies must set up offices there because of the markets it’ll offer (Mozambique and Malawi). It’ll need clean streets, warehouses, some 4-5 story buildings so companies can set up offices, etc.

Livingstone must not be neglected. Space must be zoned out so as to have Zambian owned shopping malls, internet cafe’s, boutiques, amusement parks, clean flea markets, a state of the art transport system, cinema’s, air strips for sky diving, more hotels, proper roads. Basically stuff that keeps tourists entertained besides bungy jumping.

  28. Mazabuka must be looked at the most since it has more to offer than many small towns. It has Nickel mining and a sugar cane industry.

Ndola must be Zambia’s second most industrial city (from Lusaka). It must be lined with skyscrapers, shopping malls, industries, apartments meant for all classes (poor, middle class and rich), a state of the art transport system, Good airport, etc.

Lusaka must be the main place of industry and finance. In fact Lusaka must be a new york or Johannesburg meaning it must be the business capital. The capital city must be changed to a more central quiet city like Kabwe. Lusaka must be the busy place of business.

  29. God does not listen to prayers of sinful people. One must first repent & ask HIM for forgiveness.Has Levy ever taken time to ask God for mercy & forgiveness.God is not a respector of person, president or kaponya you must ask for forgives, then God is ready to answer your prayers.Quarter to 12 prayers can be too late!Sorry!

  30. It sounds like UNIP days again. What is freedom of speech? Just coz his a father he can’t say what he thinks?
    Stone age politics?
    Democracy my foot.

  31. Free market capitalist what the heck have you smoked? please stop it, its not good for you!!! banje Mulike!!!!

  32. Zeddy, thanks for your response in #11. By the way i was also getting worried, heed to Einstein’s advise in #30.
Its good that you got some good education, despite your extra curicular activities and what i get you are a very responsible person right now.Its my hope that those clergy you bumped into at those activities are also reformed if they are still living. Though you may not have kind words, Iam sure there are some who are trying their best, and so are the catholic institutions, though sometimes overshadowed by those human failures.
On church and politics, I agree church and politics do not mix well, when there is misapplication of roles..

  33. ..cont from 39,
Its compromising if clergy get into full time politics. But it is important to note that the church/clergy have a prophetic role(pointers to the truth and counsel) in society. The problem I see in Zambia are the extremes: we have clergy who are praise singers, happy clappers for the govt, and the govt always likes it, anything else its enemity for them; others simply criticize and comment on anything even without facts and research, I just hope Fr. Miha is not in this category, but I cant judge without clear facts as well. While the church is partner to the govt at a certain level for humanity’s temporal welfare, they are not to be govt pawns, and on the other hand being…

  34. ..contd from #40
prophetic does not entail being an opposition party. The other problem is that of fear, party members toll the line while the opposition are very caculative on how they comment for the sake of expedience. In such situations clergy tend to take advantage of the vaccum in variant ways like I have explained above. But I would end by saying, finally its the people who are going to judge the genuiness of the govt or priest/pastor basing on their livlihood and issues of justice as being experienced on the ground. In my view political cadres are not the best judges in this regard, given the “politics of poverty” in Zambia/Africa.

  35. Zeddy
Much respect to u on yo sharing of your opinions. Now dude listen. The issues at hand are not about your personal animosity with the clergy that”Educated you” but the plight of the zambian’s on CB. If you have lived on the CB before you would understand what he is talking about, Fr has lived there for more than 2 decades and he works with the poor day to day…It will also be good to note that Fr miha does not have a Permanet parish, his duties for years now have been in Mass Media and helping aleviate poverty in diffrent cities on the CB. He may know a little more than Mbulakulima because he is on the ground working with our people.Pliz dont let yo Personal issues get to your head

  36. Mbulakulima just shut up and work on the roads. You are busy boot licking instead of finding solutions for problems on hand. you are such a simple boot licker. To hell.

  37. zeddy, you seem to be an ***** who is not thankful for the things others do to you. If u dont like the catholics, why go to their school in the first place? What type of a daft zedian are u? try to see sense in what miha is saying, i challenge you, come to chingola today and show me where the indians have put money for us to see. inheriting nchanga mine from ZCCM is not like building the lumwana mine. over all, chingola has gone to the indians, imagine utu ma indians even going as far as chiwempala to drink and commit sexual immorality. thats what your small brain calls developement?
Just use the solwezi and chingola chililabombwe roads and u come and tell me your developmnental findings

  38. #18 ZEDDY, but kwena iwe uli chiko ehh, bushe you dont know that ever since mines were sold off, there has been massive externalization of money from the copper sales. let me tell u, come to lulamba and see the project the former ZCCM started-the complex though it never finished. if only they were given a chance, they could have finished as they were paying back to the society that helped them and how many recreational houses were working when zccm was in charge, plenty and how many are operational when your so called investors have taken over? zero, so where do they take the money?

  39. Father MIHA is right to a large extent,CB is behind interms of development. It being the fulcrum of the Zed economy it should not be what it is.Lusaka is not Zambia, but what is in Lusaka anyway that separates it from the CopperbelT,nothing much. The Country needs to benefit from its resources we need to accept that. Thus what Father MIHA is talking about. It should not only be the Njases to be heard mwebantu let others speak for the masses.thus what you get in a country where corruption is rife.Development is individualised but not national and thus sad.

  40. Today citizens of the Niger delta are blowing up pipe lines as frustration for not having a slice of Nigerian oil revenue,

yet for the past 50 yrs or so $300 billion dollars worth of oil has been pumped of the delta their rivers and water have polluted, traditional lively hood destroyed yet the delta remains one the poorest regions in Nigeria and the world,

and yet the west(worst)labels them terrorists, i say they are freedom fighters,
and consider our very own Gwembe valley Tonga, displaced from their ancenstrol homes to infertile almost barren, arid Zambezi valley to pave way for the Kariba dam, only to be denied the very electricity or revenues thereto,

father Miha may just have a point

  41. Sad to hear LPM’s minister’s yelling at pipo who are saying the truth about the happenings in Zambia.I mean its plain to see that the copperbelt from 91 has been a neglected province. These ministers in singing about their achievements keep hero worshiping their leader & not attributing their small successes to a team effort. The development in Zed is not proportional to the vast natural resources wealth.May our leaders be in a hurry to develop Zed & not intimidate those who want to see things change for the better.Father Miha, keep at it!!!!

  42. Its true to say the Copperbelt has been negleted considering that its the largest earner of zambia’s forex. I totally agree with #47 but I wouldnt wish people on the C/belt to react like those of Niger delta you should be reminded that its politicians who causes such kind of conflicts. We’ve been talking about Kitwe-Chingola road being narrow but someone has allowed Zalawi to build a huge garage ten metres from the main road. I dont know if this is what the Minister is regarding as development. Digging more copper from the C/belt does not imply developing it but reaping it. By the way be reminded that Zambia is not just lusaka.

  43. There is absolutely nothing wrong with father Miha’s observation, but there is something foundementally wrong with Mbulakulima’s observation. He is a wrong minister for the C/B Province is development is to take place. Long live father Miha, long live the Catholic church.

  44. #13 you are a genius our brother Zeddy works for the MMD,so please forgive him,all his comments are always in favour of the ruling party and does not consider our ordinary Zambian people who suffer at the hands of ou politicians. The catholic may have some ‘bad seeds’ within them but point at one christian organisation that is perfect. The catholics have always done a great job with the poor over the world. So selfish people like Zeddy should be ignored. The poor need a voice and Fr Miha is their voice. These clowns just love puppets they can control.
    God bless the catholic!

  45. God forbid that someone should declair our peaceful country a Satanist Country.
Zambia is a Christian Nation, Do you want your confession to act on you. Mind what you bring out of you head #26.
ZAMBIA IS A CHRISTIAN NATION- Meaning God is in control.
Be thankfull to God of how he’s sustaining our Nation. Do you want to call upon the works of the evil one to rule.
Sorry for going out of the Miha story. But Miya is rightfully speaking for his CB.

  46. Freedom of speech, this will also make these guys work even much harder than anything.Truth pains , but pays.

  47. Let me start by saying one Zambia One Nation. Why are you trying to pretend.Bwana Minister few year ago you were languishing at ZSIC in lusaka and you are have forgotting where you came from.Let father Mihia speak for us.You soon join us.

  48. Ba LPM ba puswa. Mugabe and Tsvangarai have just signed a peace deal.I guess the Titanic is not sinking any more. Make sure some one tells the exellence when he wakes up from the coma that all is well in Zimbabwe

  49. In case Mbulakulima has forgotten its the same MMD who distroyed the once Copperbelt, with Chingola the once upon cleanest town (during KK’ s time) ZCCM.

We know you have a job and not a country to protect. Look beyond the ministerial job and focus on Zambia. Where do you want to see it by 2010? no idea!

  50. For as long as he speaks for us the poor, he(Father Mihia) will always be welcome,of course not in your home because you would fired by then.Forget not where you came from you will find us soon.

  51. #52
Zambia is not a Christian Nation yet. It is yet to be declared if there will any need. Look at those wolves in a sheep’s skin who declared it, where are they now? Pastor Dr Chiluba, Rev Pule, Third Term Pastors from the CB, and many more scavengers.

  52. I’ve read some comments from “Zeddy” with a lot of interest.Politics my brother are not dirty, just a few pipo want to make us believe that it is,so that they can make the church back down from playing the watchdog & defender of the poor.In a democracy such as ours we need every voice thus cause our govt to act responsibly.Yes the catholic church may have made/makes mistakes but when the do & mean well as demonstrated by father Miha they ought to be supported & commended.GRZ has tried to improve the economy but given how much wealth we have, they can & could have done better!!!

  53. The problem in Zambia is that we have arogant official who only argue against clear logic. They dont know that peopleknow what they want. Kaunda, Chiluba… or the same. Listen you individuals what people tell is right. Go and table that in parliament and make good out of it and you will never wrong. Arguing against clear logic cost youlike Chiluba and KK

  54. IWE Mbulakulima leave the Catholic church alone. You dont remember that they were the architects of KK’s down fall, Remember Father Umberto and how he brought about Kaunda’s downfall. The same can happen to the already fractured MMD so uyisunge bwino sana or else you will be unemployed. Viva the Catholic church keep on talking for the poor

  55. is it really difficulty to see logic in what people say. Ok, if it is so then, which people do you represent. Which conciouse do you have and what school did you go to???????????

  56. The preacher man is talking for the down troden in CB. CB has been neglected. Thats why you find bembas fishing in gwembe valley, deep tonga land. There is not enough incentives to keep the pipo working.

  57. YES WE NEED REAL DEVELOPMENT IN ZAMBIA AS A WHOLE NOT EXPLOITERS YOU BRING IN THE NAME OF INVESTORS.ONE DAY PA ZED TUKASHALAFYE NE FILINDI WITHOUT BENEFITS FOR THE COMMON MAN.DONT GO ABOUT WARNING Fr.MIHA.THE CLERGY DONT JUST PREACH ‘LIFE TO COME’ THEY ALSO TALK ABOUT HIGH TAXES AND BAD ROADS.NO PROPER ROAD NO DEVELOPMENT-PERIOD.MBULA…. PLEASE STOP TALKING THREATS TO Fr.MIHA FIRST GO AND FIND OUT WHAT THE WORD DEVELOPMENT MEAN.HATS OFF TO BLOGGERS….YOU ARE REAL!!!!!

  58. Fr. Miha is right on. The thugs in government masquarading as leaders must be made to jump for hoodwinking the citizens of Zambia on all issues.

  59. A few years ago MBULAmputi was renguishing at FAZ until 2006 when he rigged the lections somewhere in Luapula prov to become MP. He was actual transporting ballots papers from one voting station to another, I actual witness this things happening where the candidate had to transport ballots becoz there was no grz transport. MBULAmputi JUST SHUP UP. Come 2011 you will be jobless again!

  60. #64 WAYAMBAKO – you see I said it before its always tongas deviating topics to tribalism! Pls pipo ignore the mother f@@k!

  61. Mr. Minister, you better make a tour of the Copperbelt, I was in Ndola recently and was disgusted with the state of the roads in my once-upon-a time beautiful Ndola town, so just shut up when people complain or do something about it for a change. Hell, I pissed at this Minister, who is so blind he cannot see how Ndola has been turned into a shanty town. As for Kafupi, he had better not come back to C/B he will be lynched by some of us.

  62. Zambeef,Einstein & Paul M
I am neither partisan nor paid by MMD for consultancy services.Like i said,i just look at policies and either agree with some & disagree where i am not happy and not that my opinion matters to them.I have no time to criticise just for the sake of it,MMD has done quite alot even under Chiluba but it’s just the administration itself especially during Chiluba’s time that was really bad.In 2001,i had hoped that UPND under Mazoka comes into power coz they had some great ideas i liked.HH may not be charismatic but i think he wants to carry on with Mazoka’s legacy, they may both sound tribal but i don’t care,it’s ability to deliver & their manifesto that counts.

  63. Ka Mbulakulima should be careful. This is not the time to be issuing Warnings and threats when his appointing authority is in ‘stable’condition. This will bring unnecessary hate for LPM. KaMbulakulima, we know you and you are a cadre with little sense in your empty head

  64. CHE GUEVERA,insult me however you like but am entitled to my opinion and that fact you should respect. My opinions don’t are not imposed on people to accept but it’s better to criticise an an intellectual, those who rush to using inapropriate or vulgar language when challenged with ideas really don’t think widely and i am afraid you fall into that circle.I have no qualms with the catholic faith but i despise the idea of a few clergymen that want to be voacl without checking facts. We need maturity and sticking to real issues not people trying to deceive the masses.

  65. farther miha is right CB people dont know where resorces from the minerals are taken Cbelt its nolonger the way it used to KK time, there is nothing to admire in Cbelt.

  66. #75 Dont be a jake of all works man or mr know-it-all, just appreciate what the catholic impacted in your little brain, even a dog do wagg a tail when given bone without steak.

  67. What is Mbulakulima talking about?, Which roads have been rehabilitated in Chingola?, Was in Chingola just last month and the place is headed for the museum. Is that what he calls development? All i saw about roads is their continued degradation they are now streams, and the man says their is development?, Talk of industries for who? Does this Mwansa really know how many Zambians are benefitting from the so called industrial boom? Perhaps himself and his relatives. Go to Kabundi and tell me if you see any signs of development, talk of the mine hospitals, let alone the townships. Its a shame that the minister can talk like that, it shows the calibre of people we trust with our resources.

  68. # 68. Anonymous, i am not being tribalistic. What is tribalistic in saying zimbabweans are flocking to SA because of the bad economic state of Zim, for example. I am just stating what i see.
However unlike you i will not throw a tantrum and insult you.

  69. The truth of the matter is that The Minister is trying to protect his job.So let the brave ones in the name priests talk for the people of Zambia. The church is able to see poverty out there while some of us are busy blogging.Do not just say the church this and that just bcoz your drive a keep Japan clean and can afford three meals aday.

  70. #77 The only people playing ‘Mr Know It All’ are those not respecting other people’s opinions,i really don’t give a toss who Miha is and whether i was educated at a catholic school,i paid my fees and they had a duty to teach me and i said thank you so why the heck should i keep thanking them, yes,i have criticised fathers & brothers like Miha for pretending to be very clean but that it what i know as i saw it with my own eyes.Who doesn’t know that the copperbelt almost turned into a ghost town especially Ndola but it’s not down to ”stealing” of funds as their hasn’t been much activity in the mines till a few years ago when they were revived.Govt gets almost nothing thru tax & royalties.

  71. We need a new generation of leaders under fifty to offer a fresh prospective on various zambian issues not these old corrupt idots who’s only claim to fame is experience ,”What experience?,making bad decisions!!”.Here we go experience at changing T-shirts from UNIP to MMD and and vice versa.

  72. People I’m in Chingola and I’ve been in Chingola for more than 25yrs. What developement has this mbula anythig brought to Chingola? The roads are really pathetic, Go to Civic centre, the road which is suppossed to be kept well you only move at 10km/h if your car should survive. The roads wereputched with sand only lasted few week and potholes were back. That mbula should find time and come to the CB and see for himself.

  73. Iwe Zeddy leave the church alone man.We are not here to hear about your beef with the church.Speak for the voiceless. It is not like they invited you to their school okey.

  74. Doha talks why do we bother?,every thing is pegged to the dollar!,we have no capacity to export, when we open our markets we are overun.

  75. Ba zeddy- works for the MMD PUBLIC MISINFORMATION & DESTRUCTION UNIT(PMDU) and he has just accomplished his task ie destructing us all from the issue att hand.

  76. Back to ”where is the money from CB mines diverting to as the CB locals wonder” comments please, anyone?

  77. #92
but they do ,look at the bible, torah, koran.religion is all about control and u cant contol people unless u are a politician.

  78. # 89. Lombe Chulu ,
Pleas don’t use my name in vain, zeddy is deranged not rational and emotionally unstable to be shushushu.

  79. zeddy, you have brought so much shame on this blog; what have you done for Zambia? Why didn’t your parents choose to teach you in your own bedroom? The catholic church has brought enormous developement to our country…education, health, poverty alleviation, freedom, you name it. Open your eyes and see it for yourself!!! This is the truth, and this will remain the truth for all ages. I am forced to respond to you because of your shortsightedness…

  80. Luyana you are right,we the young Zambians must now take destiny into our own hands.Am tired & sick of these old *****s selling our country to foreigners while we languish in back breaking poverty! The trouble is many young Zambians believe so much in these *****s & not in themselves.Shame on you all!

  81. #94
i hate to generalise, but northerns run the mines in CB ,and are stealing from they own people, this has nothing to do with the fact that i’m lozi.

  82. Can someone explain to me why we are alawys talking but nothing gets done. We all know what the problem is in Zed (including this writer) but why do we not do anything about it. What sets us apart from absungu nangu those desert people in Dubai?? How are they able to do things that benefit their people? why do we lick throwing rubbish out of our cars namu ma buses.. why are we so dirty and callous? Does someone have an answer.. and by answe I dont mean swearing at me.. This is an honest question!

  83. On the subject of under development,do my fellow zambias know that the gov’t has Known about oil in the northwestern province since the 70’s?,so why are we speading billions on oil?

  84. Okay Luyana…. so is the lack of leadership only at political level or is it also at family level. I mean, do we need politicians to tell us that it is irresponsible to throw litter out of moving cars? I have seen parents driving with their little ones and then throwing empty cans onto the road. Do we also need politicians to organise us at community level to clean up where we live, to start demanding more from our politicians.. Or are the polictians a reflection of ourselves?

  85. #102. Kalashnikov ask your self this…
Why is haiti, the oldest black country to gain indipondo the poorest.
Why is Africa the poorest continent , yet one of the richest in raw reasources.
Why are black pipo in the USA the most poorest of the population.
If you find the answers Then we will be enlightened.

  86. to #102; i understand your frustration. problem is we are so afraid of leadership. worse than the hiv pandemic in this country is the “what will they think of of me” virus which drains us of the courage to stand up and act. just look at the bloggers here, how many of us are using our real names? we are hiding behind psuedo names yet no one is chasing us. the moment you will understand why you are not using your real name then you will have answers to your questions. leadership means being able to be naked in public; that is show your assets not matter thier colour, size, shape and defend them. next time i shall be blogging under my own beautiful nakedness

  87. Zambian leaders are just rubbish. They want to be praised for giving our God given resources to foreigners while we languish in shanty compounds, jobless, homeless & diseased. You will all pay for these atrocities. We entrust you with our country, and look, you surrender our wealth to,chinese, indians, lebanese, who send millions of dollars from Zambia.Damn you MMD government! You all belong in jail or maybe Percy Military hospital in France!

  88. we are products of the environment created by the politicians, the term common care does not apply in zambia. have ,are the polictians a reflection of ourselves?,which came 1st the chicken or the egg?.

  89. we are products of the environment created by the politicians, the term common care does not apply in zambia. are the polictians a reflection of ourselves?,which came 1st the chicken or the egg?.

  90. Copperbelt Minister Mwansa Mbulakulima is fake… those of us who grew up on the copper-belt would agree with Father Miha.CB has turned into the biggest village in zambia. where these chaps take the money from gold mined at kansashi and other precious minerals mined in other parts.Lupando Mwape is the one
    benefiting from these mones.
Gold, uranium and other precious minerals go out of the country on Tax free basis which is the money lupando mwape is handling on the expense of the miners and the zambians

  91. @#29 Father Miha is not talkin from without. I have lived in the belt all my life and father Miha’s been in the belt for so long even longer than those of you who her chanting against him.

Those of us who’ve stayed in the belt are able to tell the difference now when we compare it to the old days. So when Miha says the belt is been neglected is only affirming what we’ve always said about it. There’s nothing left of the belt now. All the copper dollar is churned out so fast and we seeing the lovely belt decaying before our eyes and stuff is beginning to stink now. Its because of this weird and corrupt odour of neglect that we are now opening our mouths so we may probably cause some roar.

  92. # 106 muntuwalesa.
Stop distracting us by heaping the collective burdain of failure on my shoulders.
You give bigots and racists amounition with such loose talk.
    Pleas don’t genralise.

  93. Muntuwalesa and Mukwae thank you. I like that example of Haiti you give. It is so profound and lays bare the AFRICAN problem… We like to blame other people for our own shortcomings. Other people just started paving their dirt roads with cobble stones and got on with it. Now their descendants still walk on fairly clean paved roads because they did not just sit and complain. Have you ever wondered why forexample, people who live at flats cannot just get together and agree to have a fund and pay for a paint job, plumbing work etc… Ecah one prefers to do it by themeselves and in the end paying more when the ycould pay less as a cooperative

  94. 114. i agree with to some extent. but WE CAN TURN things around even if it means dying. the problem is none of us is willing to eat grass or go hungry in defending our national pride. oh am assuming by raw deal u mean bati “nyengelela” ba zungu. they care for noone by thier own interests.

Luyana, the west shouldnt be a problem at this stage in history. we can deal with them nicely if only we could UNITE. i dont mean necessarily african union, but common values so that which ever country they go, they will find a Mugabe for president

  95. Most politicians if not all of them are like Mbulwakulima, when it suits them most they will not shy away from rushing to the church, say for prayers, for some ailing politician friend of theirs. But when the clergy point out something, they are quick to scream murder and loudly lecture to us that politics and religion does not mix. So Ba Zeddy and mbulakulima can you forthwith ban all clergy from praying for politicians regardless of the situation the prayers are offered for as POLITICS AND POLITICIANS AND/OR RELIGION AND CLERGY ARE NOT TO BE MIXED AS PER YOUR LEARNED ANALYSIS.

  96. Just look at how dirty the blocks of flats are around us. Just look at the way we did not take care of govt hosues ati “ni va boma”.. so if it is govt property then we should not take care of it. We must start thinking and doing things differently and it should start from home, because once we set high standards at home, we will be in a better position to demand more from the people we put in political office

  97. Father Miha is right. Its wrong for someone to say politics and religion do non mix.To me i see politics and religion as something that tackles or tries to harmonise peoples welfare socially, economically and otherwise.

All in all politics and religion target people, ultimately at the end of the day,the lives of people should improve period.if u divorce the two i do not know why you decide to think so.

  98. Okay guys, so how do we repair the broken roads, broken sewer pipes, broken desks, broken everything? We al know from this post that OUR employees the policians will not do it at this rate. So how are we going to make them? Or if we can’t make them, how are you, Peace, mukwae,Namz, Zed, Abena Luanshya, Anonymous, shushushu, Luyana et al going to do it??

  99. # 92 walasa, if you dont want politics to mix with religion, why then should religion pray for the safety of politicians. My humble advaice to politicians (Mbulakulima) is dont attack the clergy you might need them.

  100. We are just lazy. We need to learn from the chinese model. All systems go for development. When you overwork an african, he remebers salvery and runs away.

  101. Kalashnikov, people are hungry do u think they care about keeping high at home? , Politicians dictate the status quo.If they didn’t destroy the country, Zambia would have the same high standard our parents enjoyed in the 60’s.

  102. Okay Luyana going to look for food now.. nga nabwela, I should find suggestions on how we remove the dust from our streets and replace it nama sky scrapers ba Free Market Capitalist is talking about. I want us to each ask ourselves what we can do to ring about psoitive change. This blog is full of intellegent people, so lets tap for each other and actually start looking at ways we can organsie in OUR communities. .Luyana do you know your neighbour??

  103. Every night just observe on our rail, a minimum of about 3,500 tones of copper concertrate is transported through our rail to south africa via livingstone. What does that mean to the copperbelt? potholes, poor infrustrature, the Copperbelt exporting economic refugees, while load shedding is on the Zambians and above all a fraction is paid as tax! or sorry Ndola is still a tax free zone.

  104. Kalashnikov
of the many lesson i have learnt in my 31 years of life, the one lesson i cherish is that THERE IS POWER IN PEOPLE. PEOPLE can get politicians to work for them. what i see as a gap is that there is no one to inspire people in to action to get politicians work for them. all those who can do such prefer to be politicians for economic reasons. this is why i say leadership is not being up there but inspiring people to act. the first thing you and i need to work on is to demystify the politician. i think we are too afraid of politicians that is why we are using psudeo names when bloging or writing letters to newspapers.

  105. I totally agree with #8. Chiluba or Chanda Beu as he is commonly known is really the culprit behind the decline of the CB province. The ***** had no clue about the relationships between GRZ and the giant mining conglomerate ANGLO-American Cooperation. Instead he messed it all up and no body took responsibility for the roads infrastructure, Schools, hospitals, sports development, etc. The ***** must be jailed for claiming to be doing a job for us when we all knew he was stealing and that is what he openly confessed – That he was a dribbler or conman.

  106. Kalashnikov, this goes back to oil discovered in north western province in the 70’s, Had KK exploited it we would have been a total different country. Inside what are we doing making the Dutch richer by using them as agents to buy oil? How annoying we are buying a product that we already have! Those billions could go to repairing the broken roads, broken sewer pipes, broken desks, broken everything? .not to metion the various other resouces that we have in Zambia.

  107. Hey guys ….Lubosi AKA Luyana patriot(London). Kalashni, kovmukwae,Namz, Zed, Abena Luanshya, Anonymous, shushushu?

  108. #129

and we need to be very clear about our motives – do we want to make a name, make money, develop our country or all three above?

  109. We need a common vision gentlemen, create a fund for all the provinces equally and zambia will work ,otherwise we will always have this witchhunt.

  110. Zeddy, even Jesus christ in the bible said no one is perfect.
It is because of the same reason that he told the people that wanted to stone the adulteress woman that who ever was without sin should cast the first stone and every one just disappeared.
Please take your bitterness else where, we dont need pipo like you on this blog.
    Father Miha is right!

  111. Politics and religion serve two different aspects of the same society. Religion exemplifies blind faith and harmony in society by preaching love. Politicians thrive on hoodwinking people by preaching the rule of law while playing tricks with your money. Therefore, if a politican tries to expose the cleargy’s tactics, the clergy hit back by stating the obvious – that politicians are dishonest and they leave you to judge. Happy are the uninformed, for all our worries about tricksters(crooks and chalatans) are non-existent.

  112. Thus new leadership required because the current system is not working.what we have in zambia is lobby groups not politcal parties.

  113. I can see how ignorant some of the bloggers are. Blogging is meant to offer constructive criticism not attacking each other. Honestly speaking the copper belt well neglected and the pastors when they preach, they call a spade as a spade. Politics is also part of preaching. You don’t know that the bible is full of politics? Maybe we ask some graduates from CBU and UNZA who have done political science, to define politics to us. Many including ministers do not understand what politics or religion mean. Time for us guys to study and expand knowledge, than being cadres who argue for nothing. I am deeply ashamed of some of you. This paper is read world wide and all we get are some ignorant ideas

  114. Mbulakulima would have done well to just read what Fr Miha is saying instead of issuing empty threats. As a matter of fact Mbulakulima would so well to have Miha on his side by doing one simple thing, deliver instead of issuing threats, this is just a case of citizens asking for what they deserve and Catholics even in the day of Kaunda were the most critical of Government in the National Mirrior. Miha Drevensky has been on the copperbelt longer than Mbulakulima. Instead of showing cadre mentality just deliver what you promised when you were campaigning, this is not FAZ, this is Government Mwansa. Good God!

  115. Sorry Luyana, Namz was out.. and now in the middle of something but I will respond… I see that from here we can begin to make change. I will respond.

  116. Luyana you talk about the oil discovered in the NW in the 70s and how KK failed to exploit it. My question still comes back to why CANT we make these politicians do what WE want? Politicians do not make money. Business people make money and pay the taxes. The taxes pay our politician. This means that in that construction, (i.e. exchange of things for value, the politician is not present because there is nothing of value that politicians in Zambia offer.) It follows that they are poor, but the equation changes as soon as they become politicians. Their value skyrockets so that they are so inaccessible. Who therefore needs them? I don’t unless I can compel them to serve me.

  117. About all of us using pseudonyms. You have a point, however, I think that at this stage, it is necessary for us to be able to state our true feelings and with time, it may be possible for all of us to speak freely and call for major changes in our psyche. We need to stop thinking that politicians will do it for us. We need to create a nation where politicians are servants and it starts from us. As long as we look up to them as bosses, this will be the problem.

  118. I mean, don’t some of you feel ashamed when you see gwon men protsrating themselves before our leaders.. I mean men like ba Alex Chikwanda who we saw a number of times kneeling before ba Kafupi. We don’t need that level of psychophancy. We are all mortal

  119. All parts of Zambia are underdeveloped including Lusaka. We need fresh blood at the helm to turn things around. We have the expertise and Zambians are hardworking people all we need is motivation and directing resources to the right places. Miha may have restricted himself to CB coz he lives there but the picture is for the whole Zambia. I do not however believe that only the CB should benefit from Copper returns, all of Zambia must have a stake from all her resources. Southern Province is the biggest forex earner through tourism but it does not mean only southerners must benefit from those resources. They belong to Zambia.

  120. Okay so why don’t we start changing things ourselves. How many of us talk to your councillors and ask them about council meetings? It should start from that? How many of us lobby our legislators to propose monumental changes in our parliament? How many of us ask for quality from our so called private schools, or do we just pay the fees and forget about the kind of edcuation our children are getting? I am asking questions about what ach one of us here can do.. rather than the politicians.. I think most of us are agreed that our leaders have failed us, but we can make them irrelevant by doing something ourslevs and in time new leaders will emerge

  121. 150 150. Kalashnikov
Another way is to form pressure groups for each province. These grps monitor were all cash is spend and point out to MPs were problems are. All activites should be published so as to shame MPs not doing their jobs.

  122. #150 wise man. You have restored my confidence in human intelligence. and evryone quit whinning. lets get to work because together we can move mountains.

  123. Thanks all… BA Ndife, I am actually not a man, I am female. Ba Shushushu, I like that idea of ama pressure groups. So how can we organise these groups in our own communities? We don’t need a million people.. We just need a few people within our communities who we can talk to to start asking our local leaders what they are doing.. with time these peressure groups can grow into movements. We need to make a radical break from normative governmental structures which keep us away from real participation through proper respresentation. We need to start weakeking executive powers and in that regard, what has been our inputs in the constitutional making process… PERSONALLY….

  124. #151 i like the idea of pressure groups.

it would be great if in addition to blogging we began organising ourselves for some action. there is lots of intellegence and passion here which needs to be translated in to action.

  125. #Kalashnikov

I will go back to basics if i may. Correct me if I’m wrong, Zambia has 73 tribes?, that have always been paired into groups (northern, eastern) (southern, western )and that is no fault of there own, we never drew our borders!. Why can’t we make these politicians do what we want? Because we are not united .thus my mentioning lobby groups as opposed to political parties. People use politics as a cash cow, that’s why they value skyrockets, and guess what the west knows that’s nothing ever gets done.we don’t have a common cause.

  126. Luyana, this is why we need to have something passionate to rally around and this blog has given us the opportunity to flesh out some of these things. Instead of concentrating on our differences, which by the way are just a social construct, let us look at what can unite us. From a quick read of this blog I see that we are united in our thirst to see a prosperous nation. That thirst can be quenched by our collective efforts as ordinary citizens and not by thinking politicians will do it for us. We have to MAKE politicians do it for us

  127. #Kalashnikov
So you get the west & co taking advantage of this, getting our politicians to sell our country down the river for a few pennies!,”Hell” got to eat while i’m still here.we have been reduced to pre-colonial state.

  128. Cry my beloved Copperbelt, once described as developed.Zambia is so rich we don’t even need to borrow cash from the west.We need a government like the one of Venezuela run by Hugo Chavez, power and wealth back to the citizens of Zambia. We need to take charge of our God given natural resources and use them for the benefit of Zambians. The MMD governement NEW deal included has given our wealth to bamwisa and they are developing their countries.Let us get MMD for starters, find genuine natinalist Zambians with a hearts for the poor and one Zambia one Nation in their hearts, not Chiluba plunderers,Levy family tree nonsene we’ve condoned for nearly 2 decades!!

  129. 156 and all others. Why dont we start up something right here right now. Of course we wont change the world tommorow. But we have all heard the one about the longest journey and a single footstep. lets just start by saying we are going to demand accountability from not only the politicians but everyone involved in public business. we can the define the specifics later we can the articles of assocition and all that as soon as we get together somehow. for now lets sign up with one of us and lets see were we end up.

  130. #Kalashnikov
Thus as i stated earlier stated we need new leaders as the old system is not working, we are a very rich nation we just suffer from gross management.the system in zambia does not work from the bottom up,because we dont have public servants we have Lords i dare say.

  131. Agreed, so bane, now instead of just complaining apa pa blog, let us actually start doing something about it. Let us create our own little personal timetable that sees us spare a few hours a week to talk to so many people within our neighbourhood. We can even have report back sessions where we tell bloggers how our ‘little’ meeting went so we share best practices. That way we are building blocs. Zambians need to start looking out for Zambians. Abasungu take care of their own, we also need to love ourselves that much to want to make our lives better.. for everyone, not just “ME” or “THE BIG MAN…”

  132. Yes ba Namz, Luyana, Ba Ndife Taa etal, let us move from this blog and start something. I wouldn’t call for something that requires us to start drawing articles of association, because that is where the bureacracy starts. At this level, it should be a loose movement that calls for change. Okay so how do we move from just writing on this blog to actually doing something? Are you guys going to talk to your neighbours? Ba Namz, yes I am Zambian.. Not sure if that was teh question though?

  133. Thanks guys, now we are talking and educating ourselves. I myself learn a lot from you bloggers than what the story says. I really appreciate your positive contributions. Let us show the world that we Zedians are intellectuals, civilized and broadminded than some of those cadre ministers who claim to represent us in our regions. I think there should be a proper job description of a minister. Some of them are just good at chanting slogans, they don’t even know how to file a report.

  134. Gent’s look at this just came on….
Chieftainess Nyakulenga of Zambezi East in Northwestern Province, has called upon Government to expedite the exploration
of gas, oil and other minerals in her chiefdom

  135. I WAS BORN AND BROUGHT UP ON THE CB IN THOSE KAUNDA YEARS,IN NDOLA, FOR THAT MATTER. GO AND LOOK AT WHAT WAS ONCE THE INDUSTRIAL AREA,CAN A SOUND MINDED AND EDUCATED PERSON ATTACK THE POOR PRIEST FOR RAISING CONCERN OVER THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF THIS ONCE MIGHT HUB OF THE NATION? AND WHO SAID THAT BEING A FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATOR IS THE SAME AS BEING A REAL MINISTER? ITS ONLY IN ZAMBIA WHERE YOU FIND SUCH MEDIOCRE OF MINISTERS LIKE THIS COPPERBELT FELLOW,VERY DULL AND ‘WET BEHIND THE EARS’.

  136. Goog proactive bloging.
Are there any pipo with organisational training who come on this blog to just complain. Can you offer ideas on who an active grouping of zambians in different parts of the world can form some form of advocacy or pressure group ???..

  137. Ba Namz.. Just sent you an email. So all serious bloggers let us write into that email and see how each one of us can contribute positively for mother Zambia

  138. The reason Mbulakulima is panting around is because he has not done his Job. He is afraid of appearing ‘un-performing’. He’s a loser. Anyone out there who knows his background?

Gone are the days when Chingola used to be the cleanest Town in the country. In the time of ZCCM our soccer national team was at its best. It produced records never before achieved nor has been broken yet. Most of the players were coming from the ZCCM clubs. Now Roan United recently travelled to Ndola for a match in a tipper truck. Mbulakulima was obviusly in his GX so has stopped seeing.

Mbulakulima thinks we are gullible. I have not seen so much prostitution in a province before. Abash Kulima

  139. This is *****ic! The same people who do not want the church to speak on what is happening in our country, are the dsame ones who want the church TO PRAY for their President’s quick recovery! They are the same ones who are quick to declare Zambia a Christian nation and yet don’t want Christians to be part of teh country and the national debate! What hypocrites!

  140. #70 Zeddy, I never said you are npartisan. I just said dont stress yourself. I meant just that lest you fall down as well and thats what I am telling you again.

  141. okay guys so let us send throug ideas to ba Namz… he has provided us an email address… Let us begin acting and not just using this blog to vent… We have vented, now its time to act. I was listening to a lecture by someone who replied in answer to a question about why we Africans are still backward. The reply from this person is : “well the difference is that when our friends are angry they act.. when we are angry, we talk and do nothing!” Please fellow bollgers LET US DO SOMETHING!

  142. As for MPs dont blame them. They are the representative of the people. If the MP fails to debate in parliament, it is a reflection that the majority who voted that person are dull. Truly , we should not laugh at our leaders as they reflect the voters. If majority of the voters were intellectuals,I believe the number of intellectuals in parliament who have been big. In short, most of these leaders are a reflection of the voters. So next time, try to be wise as you vote, otherwise you will continue having the Mbulakulimas.

  143. Strange our leaders don’t want to the truth whether it involves LPM’s health or zeddian development issues.u can only solve a problem if you truely appreciate the extent of the problem and our leaders are not interested:- WHAT A COUNTRY LETS GET REAL BA MBULA_SENSE THIS IS UNDEMOCRATIC

  144. #184,You mean there is no way we as voters can get rid of “one” Mbulakulima if we are not satisfied with him? If we cannot get rid of him, we can make life a living hell for him until his term ends, e.g by picketing his office often, what do you say folks?

  145. Zeddy your 2weeks old kid definitely thinks better than you! If you know CB the way i know it then you understand that it has gone to the dogs..only dogs cant like you and Mbulakulima can not see how decayed what used to be the ‘hub’or the cleanest city’ have become. Even if you are a party cadre, for your step children’s sake look at the future. By stating that CB is productive yet neglected the priest has driven the point. Kudos Padre, abash haters!

  146. I called. Some biatch said the dude was wit his mistress and that if I called again she would chop my breasts off. Happy now?

  147. The Hon. Minister Mbula-lifulu says Father Miha at his age should be mature and responsible enough to bla bla bla.., At his age Father Miha is certainly old enough to remember how roads once were in Ndola, how many teenagers today know that Ndola once used to the cleanest city? Kids of today think the state of our roads is normal, shame on you Hon. Mbula…if you cannot deliver, resign we shall respect you more for it than uttering nonsense.

  148. Blacks are the poorest in America. Black on black crime. Black Americans have high murder rate, high unemployment rate, 68% of of black americans children are raised by their mamas absent fathers. More black males in are prison. Black American women have the highest HIV/AIDs rate and the list is endless. It’s sad but true. Denial will not get us anywhere.

    Denial is a disease

  149. #75 Zeddy, by now you know that its you who is in the category of dull blind people. Cant you just see the difference between 1985 and 2000 on the copperbelt? when councils were empowered, they used to grade roads seasonally and we used to have refuse collectors every week. come to the mines and your so called development, show us-the rest of the bloggers the newest development on the copperbelt other than the so called smelter that was brought from south africa already assembled yet we could have employed zedians to do the assembly. On roads, when did u last see the council using bitumen to mend worn out roads? i bet you have a very big eye sight problem. u see green every time and where t

  150. Unfortunately father Miha has no power and authority, the government in power has the power. He should either join politics or concentrate on shepherding his lost flock to heaven.

  151. every time and where the sewage has blocked, you smell the freshest air copperbelt used to have in the kaunda era.
You call latest cars bought by MP’s the development? they use our hard earned TAX and probably you too use our tax and thats why you are not grateful. Who doesnt know what the catholic priests do in the night? we all know but when Miha says we cant correlate development to the money realized from copper sales amd other minerals, GIVE HIM THE DAMN RESPECT waumfwa. Probably you went to the copperbelt in the chiluba era from shangombo and what you see now is very nice and highly developed than your ram shackle. I was born and bred rite in chingola and in it was the cleanest town i

  152. in zed and you come from the blues and just yap that Mbula mano is rite and Miha shud check his facts. i think you are a congolese ZEDDY.

  153. No wonder the Tamanga Boys ( Zamsure) failed to tick when he was club Manager.I urge Mbulakulima to just shut up.

  154. #201
You harbour a lot of anger “rightly so” Zambia is run by a bunch of old incompetent *****s. With regards to chingola, Northerns run the mines thiefing bastards! one zambia one nation?f…that!,just a cheap slogan.

  155. I took time off from the ZITF to go to Chingola and Kitwe. The main roads in Chingola are pathetic. The road to Lulamba has been worked on for the last 2 years by a contractor who has now left it worse than it was. No one knows what’s happened to the money. The second circle (round about) as you enter Chingola from Kitwe is terrible. Generally most roads are terrible. In Kitwe, apart from a few trunk roads the rest are something else.
