There is need to continue praying for Levy – Mulongoti

Share

Chief Government Spokesperson, Mike Mulongoti, says there is need for the nation to continue praying for President Mwanawasa’s quick and full recovery so that he can return home and continue with his normal duties.

Mr. Mulongoti says the Zambian people should remain united and ask for God’s intervention to quickly heal Dr Mwanawasa whom he said has brought honesty and integrity to the nation.

Mr. Mulongoti said this in Lusaka today at a church service organized by the Living Water Global Churches to pray for President Mwanawasa’s quick and full recovery.

He said President Mwanawasa has demonstrated good political leadership qualities that are helping the country to recover from its economic doldrums and stump out corruption in the country.

Mr. Mulongoti has, however, said that President Mwanawasa’s illness has brought a lot of challenges to the nation.

He said although the national governance was running smoothly, the nation needed President Mwanawasa whom he said used to comfort the nation while in his good health.

Mr. Mulongoti urged the Zambian people to focus on the Ezekiel scripture which he quoted in the Bible which says God never fails and and called the people to have more faith in God.

Mr. Mulongoti, who is also Information and Broadcasting Services Minister, further appealed to the Zambian people to ignore politicians who are politicking President Mwanawasa’s illness.

And earlier, Living Waters Global Churches Pastor, Chrispin Chipampe, urged the Christian community and the Zambian people to continue praying for the President’s quick and full recovery.

Pastor Chipampe said it was incumbent upon all Christians to ensure that they always remembered President Mwanawasa in their prayers.

The clergyman further commended government for the fiscal measures that it has put in place aimed at improving the country’s national development.

Pastor Chipampe said the national economy had grown in the past ten years because of God’s intervention.

And a Lusaka-based clergyman has described as immoral and unethical for some sections of the society’s calls to publish President Mwanawasa’s pictures while admitted in a Percy Military Hospital in Paris, France.

Christian Faith Mission Centre (CFMC) Pastor-in-Charge, Peter Chanda, says his church is concerned with calls coming from some sections of the society demanding the publication of President Mwanawasa’s pictures when the nation needed to remain strong and united in prayer for the President’s quick recovery.

Pastor Chanda told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that people who are calling for the publication of President Mwanawasa’s pictures while admitted in a French Hospital were just trying to gain political mileage.

He said the calls to publish President Mwanawasa’s pictures just showed the negative agenda that some people have towards Dr Mwanawasa.

Pastor Chanda called on people to stop politicizing President Mwanawasa’s sickness, saying there is need for the nation to remain united and continue praying for the President so that the he can return in good health and continue with his normal duties.

The CFMC Pastor has since advised the people of Zambia to be wary of some people who are negatively commenting on President Mwanawasa’s illness.

  1. have to pray for something that one sees, what is up with the picture story? Guess from the whole Zambian population,Zambia
can still get a good leader maybe even better than LPM guide
the nation as giving the man another chance to rule would just
lead to some other untold stories.

  2. i know i am a fool, so i apolgise to those ngweles i attacked
now 1, 2 and 3 how lon is your manhooD? hehehehehehe

  3. this Ngoti is a smart thief. instead of praying and fasting for his boss, he’s busy making himself richer by increasing his salary. uleyako naku berber. wabe icunsu.

  4. #4 I think you will find that there numerous porn sites you can visit, it that is your interest. Spare us the nonesense.

  5. Yes indeed. As we are busy praying, them guys are busy amassing wealth by increasing their salaries and telling us to “continue praying”.Im even doubting this “stable” thing coz if he was ok you were’nt going to increase your salaries knowing that he would disagree with you.you’ve taken advantage now coz you know his condition very well.NONSENSE.GREEDY THIEVES

  6. Don’t mean to offend anyone (and let me apologise in advance to any readers who may be) but if ba LPM has not returned and has not been discharged as of yet, then it would not be advisable for the government to recommend him coming back and taking office in full swing. Ba LPM would need to step down or take extended leave from his duties for the sake of his health and for that matter for the sake of his life. Honestly if he is not yet back and still in hospital, then things are not really looking good whether he continues to live for sometime ….. Let us be realistic all of us…

  7. Have you had a deep thought about this salary increment; it just means that the guys know that the boss is not coming so their gartuity can as well increase by increasing their salaries and using prayer as an opium to all of us so as not see the real issue! Greedy thieves indeed, have you seen how ministers and GRZ officials have taken over as pastors in churches!!!!

  8. Before we proceed with prayers Govt must explain whether a brain stem activity test has been conducted on the President? Otherwise continuning to request for prayers without proper information is tantamount to being a fraud. Yes Mike Mulongoti is a fraud to the extent of the President’s illness. The man enjoys lies.

  9. We need to continue praying for our President, We do not have a leadership vacuum as opportunists would like to portray. RB is a natural born leader who should be supported until His excellency L P Manawasa Sc. Recovers. RB should get rid of all the bad eggs in his cabinet who have exposed themselves for to run the country smoothly. We have enough brains to take over in Zambia. Remember ZIMT once said Democracy does no come cheap.

  10. Mlogs, which part of his body should the people ask God to heal,is it the brain, heart or what? What does the so called patient suffer from.Just shut up if you can’t tell us the truth

  11. Ifi ifima parrots don’t dont even get tired of talking about the same thing. Its embarrassing to say the least, you muppets show leadership at least for this time and start calling a spade a spade, Levy wont be able very well any time soon.

  12. Quickly heal Mwanawasa our Lord? wish it was that simple, i think Zambians have prayed for him more than enough, if a miracle was in store, he would be back to Zambia in good health by now.
Suck it in, the guy will not be the same, let us move on.When will the Chief justice act? seems there is no precedence to follow in cases like this..funny!
I just hope there is no crisis because it seems Zambia is impotent when it comes to solving any crisis, we need Viagra!lol

  13. Kweeeenaaaa Mulongoti wampesha amano ine. Prayers are guranteed alright but what do we pary for? Just recovery from what? We mustn’t fool God in our prayer escapades. Even the phoney pastors presiding over the silly sermons, how we can we not comment -vely on LPM’s illness if we are not +vely informed? Ba satana imwe!

  14. what does the constitution say on how long the office of the president should stay vacant while waiting for the encumbent to recover. remember the consitution mr. mlongoti before you bamboozle the people. the presidency is not a life-long position, and it certainly is not mandated for one “hand-picked” individual.

  15. I have been telling you b\guys Cabbage is dead…. They (MMD) are just confussed, they dont know how they can hold on to power without cabbage. So they are trying to scheme on how to Rigg the elections then they will tell you that actually cabbage is dead.

  16. Once again, Zambia is headed for another record-setting precedent!! For the first time in history, an ENTIRE country’s government and political leadership is headed for arrest and prosecution by the incoming government for plundering and pillaging the nation’s resources by blatantly awarding yourselves “salary increments”!! You are all a disgrace to Levy! The man is not even DEAD and you are already “sharing the loot”! You have turned the nation’s resources into your personal wealth you mutherf***ing bastards!

  17. And none of you; not ONE, including the so called legal experts has the balls to stand up against this filth? You just wait and see! You will all be rounded up and shot at high noon. You can run but you can’t hide! Zambia’s are not sleeping any more. You are all hypocrites who ought to be ashamed of yourselves. I’m sure Levy is very proud of you.

  18. We need to be specific on what we asking for to be healed.even benny hinn(sp) sees his patients before praying for them to be healed.God make me a million (specify the currency otherwise u endup being one in zim dollars)

  19. Mulongoti you are a disgrace to your family and to men everywhere! It’s people like you who make me feel embarrassed to belong to the human race!! Go find yourself a hole and jump into it and stay there! Too many fake churches too!

  20. Let n medical person tel us wat it means by CVA. Coz we o knw it’s presention wen 1 is suferin frm it. Mostly is irrivisible bt y usin terms lyk stale. Mwativuta pliz we nid da truth

  21. in times of illness there shall be laughter!thanks mulongoti u really cracked me and i promise to fast for LPM but do tell me were exactly i should direct my prayer request;is it brain recovery, paralysis or rising from the dead.

  22. mulepepa mweka kaili ne piya muyalya mulya mweka.

people are living in poverty beyond what you can think of and in return you are asking to pray and fast. what do you take us for?

what are the new development on lpm? you can’t tell us the truth. God heal him without your nast requests you heartless people.

  23. It is the foolishness of the govt by not telling the nation the truth about the status of the president’s illness. What is confidential about his illness? Thank God Zambians are are well behaved citizens who are so patient and perservering. We are not children that we can be told lies and then keep quiet. There is nothing secret before God. Whatever you are hiding we shall know it someday. You want to increase your salaries taking advantage of the absence of the president. It appears the president was an obstacle to your greediness. They have indeed revealed your true colours. You are lions in the sheep skin. MMD=Mwanya Mwamana Doooo.

  24. May God bless all Zambians and heal them of all sorts of diseases especially the Republican President Mr Mwanawasa LP (SC, Hon. Doctor). May the Mwanawasa family in particular and Nation at large continue look to God in this difficult time and our God will surely let the best out of all this to come out for the President.

May you all Zambians have a pleasant day wherever you are.

  25. # 29,
Now you are MS? hah hah hah haah! Just stay rational and Blog under all Ids as anything you can dream of, yours is gabbage in, gabbage out typical of an ***** ranting to self in an empty room.

  26. This, fellow Zambians is getting out of hand. How can we stand aside and watch these fellows take us for a ride? They are clearly oblivious to the fact that most of us have a reasonable IQ…! Okay that sounded a little tacky, so let me try again: figure this out, it’s been four weeks now and LPM has not awoken from his slumber. Meanwhile the bill (in EURO – hard currency is ticking…people this is our hard-earned currency). At this rate, forget the revenue from the windfall taxes etc. Here are my proposals: [i] bring LPM back to UTH (am sure our homegrown Docs will take good care of him); [ii] initiate succession processes; [iii] fire all the spineless sychophants (sp)…KLAAR!

  27. we have too many fake churches in zambia!2 tell the truth those churches can’t be found in europe. they’ll be just telling u always to pray 4 president without solutions. Those ministers telling u 2 pray don’t even believe in God.Zambia wiil remain in dark through the name of church if not careful.they are treating us like kids who don’t know anything.
prayyyyyyy prayyyyyy will put zambia in chaos!!God also wants people to use their brains to solve issues.
    Faith without works is dead!

  28. 33 and 34 you are fools
    go and sleep you imbeciles
go and eat zigolo, you fools
go away and leave this blog

  29. don´t show off how backwards you are on here man or are you just a boy?35………What kind…..me don´t blog on here to have a chat and name calling. My manhooD is doing just as any man would like it to.Does that make your manhooD feel better?By the way,for your own infor…this ain´t a site to search for gay lovers slut.

  30. Ras dont play with me you are a kid and a gay
Why dont you call a spade a spade and we get in a ring and see who knocks who’s a’Xs dont start what you cant get on, be WARNED, apologise now you nigerian immigrant . TWAT

  31. I don’t knw wat is wrong with us zambians i wish for once we would fix our eyes on Jesus and trust him to heal our president. The gov’t officials may be stealing now or as some pipo are saying but wat goes around surely comes back around. I beleive that Gods plan will takes its course, we don’t have to see something before we can pray for it. JESUS LIVES

  32. IS IT TRUE THAT THE CABINET HAS AWARDED IT’S SELF AN INCREASE IN ALLOWANCES….? CIVIL SERVANTS AND TUTORS AT UNZA THIS IS YOUR TURN TO UNITE AND PROTEST…? FORGET ABOUT LPM AND HIS CABINET FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS.

  33. Some of your need to take your sexual frustrations off this bolg site. I am sure you knw sites where you can masterbate and do all teh crap things that make you sane. Not here please, give us a break we are already sick and tired of being sick and tired with Mulongoti and crew, we surely cant add you to that list, thanks for keeping this site focussed on topic at hand.

  34. a question to the best critics on this blog , would we have known by any chance had it not been the POST( u was critical about not long ago) of the hefty salaries GOVT is allocating to itself ?

  35. my friend Mwininga, get this straight, iam married and living a happy life.Hehehehe……..Nigerian ur black ass. Appologise to who? You?For what? You will nevr find A Ras who is whatevr you say.
Iam Tonga and will never be Nigerian so put your acts straight.

  36. Ask your brother Mulogo..to appologise otherwise if you used to getting soories here, forget it.You will never get it from me.

  37. Kafupi, you right…….check this later.Never had tym to ague with anybody on here.

  38. #37 i thought u knew somethin’ but i’ve discovered tht u’re useless and hopeless.
u’ll be poor forever if u continue behaving like mulogoti who believes in prayers even if he doen’t believe in God.

  39. I think those post are not from mwiinga. There is someone using his name.the mwiinga we know on this blog doesn’t insult.

  40. Kalebalika Mwe bena zed!!! even in bleak times as these its good to brighten each other’s days. I couldnt help to comment on the hefty increments for the executive. I realised with shivers how manipulative the politicians of Zed are. While our attention is on LPM recovery, they are on heat brassing themselves against the expected economic downfall in Zed when true LPM information is released. I must say they are real swingers. Taking into account the current state of the world economies, they know that the chaos that will follow through will take long to resolve and are only using the opportunity to safeguard their own intrests. The rest dont matter to them

  41. The government has been very candid on the medical status of the president almost beyond the ethical limit. He had a serious stroke, they said, then an operation to remove clots and stop the bleeding. He was critical, upraised to stable, and then improving and doctors are impressed! What more do we need. Like any irresponsible mind I’m sure the initiator of doubts Neurologist Manda and a horde of politicians after him, if you tell them you are a woman they will want to see pants, then some hairs and may be even to poke their dirty fingers! I kindly ask people to be prayerful in this trying time, putting all faith in God so that we begin to hear that the president is recovering. I see so much

  42. wisdom in Zambia that I believe the correct, logical and cultural direction will emerge. Do not stir shame in your peaceful country.

  43. I have been praying to god every day to send me some bread. After 2 months I have not received any thing. Pipo Kindly advise what I am supposed to do as I have been told since birth that god delivers in time of need !!

  44. #54. You have been praying to god NOT to God thats why you can’t get the bread. There is a big difference between god and God.So as long as you continue praying to god, you will never get the bread.

  45. i suggest the admin for this site facilitates the use of user ID’s and passwords to enable blogger to sign in for them participate in sending their comments. #48 might be right tht maybe sum1 is using Mr Mwiinga’s name, there it will vital for blogger to be identified uniquely. but i pray mwiinga is not jst tht useless to continual insulting others, otherwise, this ain’t the Mwiinga i knw all the long in this bloggs.

  46. Sorry, prayers must cease until we are told the truth. Why should we be lied to and i hope Sata goes back to hospital so that he stops being stupid also. How can he say Levy is coming to rule? Is zambia full of *****s who should be ruled by people who mentally infirm? We have Ben Kapita who is not well but the President kept him in cabinet to ensure the man keeps getting free money. This is theft – economic plunder.

  47. They told us that our president required prayers from all of us. We all went and cried out to God for assistance and prayed until our faces were pale with sadness.

Suddenly, we get news that Cabinet has awarded itself huge salary increases!

Isn’t this making asses of us by Cabinet that they ask us to think of LPM and pray for him while they are busy scheming to plunder our treasury in our blindness with prayers for LPM?

Zambians must stop listening to this cabinet as it is not out to serve us but to oil its members’ pockets with ill-gotten funds from our treasury.

  48. Mlongoti ala wilanshenteka Lesa, only when we are told the truth of what our presdo is suffering from, will God answer our prayers.

  49. Napapata plz ba Zambia this ‘prayer’ hypocrisy has been taken to another level. You spend most of your time at funerals and prayer sessions while your friends in the northern hemisphere are busy putting in full shifts day in day out. Nishi nichani? When is this breed of people going to wake up kansi?Ordinary people maybe praying but we know who is getting a salary increment. So now how do u solve that?More prayers?Give me a break…Its high time you started working just like everybody else who has tasted development. These lazy politicians dont do any work at all.Zambia is suffering from both severe unemployment and underemployment. No more should we sit back and watch this nonsense

  50. The only prayer we need is for this circus to end. Besides, God is busy with prayers from athletes at the Olympics.

  51. Mulongoti, remember also to pray for Levy’s spiritual restoration in addition to his physical restoration. What ever you ask of God, you should let His will prevail. Remember in the garden of Gethsemane, though Christ was son of God, he asked for His Father’s will to prevail, not his. Amen

  52. i dont know if iam wrong but it looks like what the zambians are doing is praying. How many prayers has LPM received so far. every jim and jack is talking about praying. Man shall not live by prayer alone.

  53. The scripture in Matthews tells us not to be hypocrites by standing on a hill when praying when we can simply go into our closet and pray. Prayer is personal it is between a person and his creator. This monkey business of every church now just shouting on top of their voices as prayers for Levy is becoming ridiculous. We have prayed for Levy we should now let our father deal with our prayers in his own time and way.

  54. # 4 you are not Mwiinga Lusaka. Our Mwiinga is very civilised and does not insult at all. You should be very dull to even come up with your own user name. If you got nothing do do better read what others are posting.
LPM has to pray for himself as well. How long will the nation be on auto pilot? guys we need to pull up our pants and see what next. UNZA students start the questioning and u will receive support. i feel like going back to UNZA viva 1994.

  55. Praying-for how long and praying for what when we dont know levy`s exact state

Agony is praying only to discover that your prayers are only reaching the “voice mail”

You can delay, you can cheat all of us about levy`s condition but the truth is that Succession shall come to pass, it may delay but it wont be late.

You chaps will run, you will scamper!!!!

  56. PF-Kasama Central MP, SAVIOUR CHISHIMBA says he will challenge PF President Micheal Sata for presidency in the coming party convention according to todays Post News Paper.
The young man looks okey but can someone tell him to shave his beards, it makes look old and ugly yet he is handsome. And what is in his basket for the people if he takes over PF Presidency ? Same fake policies of LOW TAXES and MORE MONEY IN THE pocket ?

  57. Remember guys blessed are those who belive without seen. This what is called absolute Faith so let us continue praying

  58. Levy still wants to come back to power??? Imwe bantu…He needs to retire on medical grounds so that he can enjoy the rest of his days taking it easy

  59. Real Mwiinga where a u? we dont want impersonators on this blog. You mean u can not suggest ur own blog names? MAPOLO YANU STUPID *****S.

  60. I am one person who beleives in prayer very much and the power that is in it. And yes God does answer prayers from his faithfull ones. But what God needs is for someone to be specific in what they pray and ask for.
Mulongoti and his cronnies should not ask as to waste our prayers. Pray for what!

  61. Zambians have not stopped praying, its just that the devil that has clamped LPM is a tough one,but on the other side the same God you are asking may have already decided that it is better for LPM to go now!!!!

  62. My prayer is that God delivers us from this Pharaoh-like government. As was the case with the children of Israel we will cross the Red Sea into the promised land…without them.

  63. Guys Mwiinga Lusaka can not sink that low like the Impostor on #4,#35 & #37.The guy has even the guts to say he is an Impostor.I personally don’t know Mwiinga but i have spoken to him & he is a very sane person. He wouldn’t post stupid stuff like this. #10 Kafupi don’t be fooled.
On LPM we tired of the Circus, thou the truth will eventually come out.

  64. #73 could be right, the same GOD may have decided its now time for LPM for the good of zambia & himself & his family that he goes now.So Mulongoti fcuk off you afro head faggot Asshole.

  65. iye imwe this is not mwiinga, him doesnt insult, nichi impersoneta chabe ichi. our real blogger mwiinga is a civilised character who only has good points. iwe mwiinga waboza be real…

  66. How do I the prayers are working? They cant give me accurate information as to whether he is talking or walking or smiling etc…

I haven’t been sleeping since June 29. I am tired. My flesh is but my spirit is still trying.

IMWE BANTU. NIUZENI NGATI MPEMPERO YA SENENZA.

Tell every 30 minutes of any improvements. I have started praying again…

  67. Let me start by advising Ras Rated #42, my brother you and I have built a good rrlationship, we have differed on principle and agreed on many things in the past, I find it not my place to address you in a vulgar manner, so do not lose sleep about Mr Mwiinga who has made posts before me as this is my first post on this particular topic. Like Hehehehehehe who has since changed to Maestro Hehehehehe, my identity has been compromised, now here is my point, I think #s 47, 56, 71, 75, 65 and 77 know the kind of posts I make on the blog, the language I use is different, so please ignore my rather vulgar admirer who would rather be me and just concentrate on my posts. I know it is difficult to…

  68. Bishop Imakando can’t write such nonsense that definitely comes from a head that has lost a few screws, bolts and washers.

  69. contd 81… distinguish between me and my admirer (fan number 1 even to use my name I am humbled #4, 35 and 37) but I think let us just stick to the substance, I am not too keen on giving up my name, I will continue using it the way it is. And like kafupi has suggested maybe LT let us start logging in with you giving unique IDs attached to our profiles, that would be very useful to avoid this confusion.

  70. U Guys just Pray so that they can continue enjoying themselves with new salaries. What do You think. Yo job to Pray and theirs is to utilise LPM to their personal benefits full stop!!!!!!!

  71. It is very easy to locate the origin of a blogger LT should do that and warn those impersonators.Even if they are using a public booth or e-cafe.It is a pity that people cannot be original and authentic in themselves except copy others.

  72. Kwena imwe people, Why this nonsense from this cabinet? Hefty salary increaments? For what?. Mulongoti is soo dull, he thinks the increament is 12 percent, gee!!!. What a useless minister we have in mulong….
    #12 Is very right,
#22 Also right, these guys are busy plundering the moneys, just like what happened with Chiluba.

When others are busy praying for LPM to heal, Mulongoti and his corrupt stoogees are busy looting. What a country we live in.

  73. Tonono # 28 well said my brotha these guys are asking the nation to pray for LPM yet when they are chewing the money they dont ask the nation to chew with them. akufipepeni mweka. This sort of hypocrisy is dangerous,

  74. how can mulongoti tell us to pray for lpm when he is bizy with his
fellow thieves increasing their salaries.plz let no these fools stupify us

  75. The best thing as Mwanawas comes back or any President can do is to suck the entire Cabinet and PSs who have approved themselves hefty salaries!! They will learn not to be selfish!!

  76. Bena Mulongoti were trying to buy time, this is my opinion, and now they have run out of ideas, when push comes to shove, all things will just start rolling. You see, as zambians, we have one problem and that problem is that of being professional. This is an executive post, what one should do is to divorce the person from the position, we have a sick president, forget what his name is, he is a sick president and we have a vacancy of 1 and half months in the Office of the President. Do these guys realise that prayer without action is prayer in vain, what have they done to ensure that this prayer is answered, actually the fact that they are not even thinking about giving their leader a rest…

  77. … contd 93, God might just decide that he takes him away for eternal rest. I find us grossly intangled in things we either refuse to understand or that we are just riding on a wave of prayer when we fully do not understand what the consequences could be of inaction on our part. There is nothing personal here, let us continue praying for Levy as a person and brother and let us run Government as an institution. Governments are run by people and not prayers, maybe that is the point of departure.

  78. God only answers one prayer from a sinner “God forgive me for my sins”not anything else God will not answer the prayers of these cleptomaniacs.

  79. Welcome back badala, this guy is a joke and has no courage in himself.Just as my other learned bloggers have put it…..he must be so pimitive that he couldn´t come up with his own user name.
Wishing you a good day Mwiinga.
Always good to have you on here and alot of others on here.

  80. Thanks Ras, how is the weather in Finland where I am told in summer it is 24 hours of sunshine, ninshi ama wench ya operator shani?? (Laugh Out Loud)

  81. ZEDIENS, LPM is coming back. If we read and analyse things, How many of us know Micheal Sata very well ? Very few. Between lines, PF President Micheal Sata in Saturdays Post dated 02 August 2008, emphasized that he is getting ready to CONFRONT the President LPM over cabinets pay increment when he returns.
Isnt this an indication that SATA has first hand information that LPM is definately coming back ? SATA’s followers dont be blind. Check the reaction of your leader. God is really GREAT.
I hope SATA will also tell LPM that he was calling for his medical board.

  82. pipo,we need to careful what we ask God in our prayers.I asked him to make me a millionaire and he made me one but with the zim dollar.so what should we ask him wen praying 4 LPM coz we dont know wat is wrong with the man

  83. Everyone of us is at one tyme or the other given an opportunity to display what skills they have and can offer.this is the time for all the pastors in zambia to show off their churches with respect to special beliefs and values through making declared desire to hold prayers for the president who is hospitalised.their is an economic gain to each and every church visited by these ministers.can you imagine how much goes into the church coffers if the vice president visited it?how many ministers accompany him?surely its your turn pastors to reap in the name of praying for levy.slash fund hasnt been given since 2000-2001 so what an opportunity guys!!!!!!!!keep on inviting them.

  84. ha ha ha #102 above, as a matter of fact the UCZ synod was complaining in the Post of Yesterday that they are having difficulties liquidating a debt of 2.6 billion kwacha because the contributions from their membership cannot meet their needs, so why not use this avenue as you suggested? ha ha ha yakosa league.

  85. What a disgrace this is! I dont think it is moral to increase your salaries when your boss is away especially when he is very very sick. Is it because you know that he will not recover and he will never ask you! Hypocrite even asking for prayers when you know that you are busy stealiing tax payers money.People lets wake up this action is a clear messsage that Mwanawasa will never be in office again. These hypocrites know that very well!

  86. Mulongoti Jr. watch out!! Its not your fathers moneys we are talking about, but TAX payers money which your father is crookedly trying to get. OK! tell your father since he is spokesperson to tabulate the figures on how they came up with what was in the POST.
We would advise you JR to concentrate on running the Executive Lodge, and let us who are concerned to comment on real issues.

LPM will definately fire a lot of the current corrupt ministers, your father included. JUST WAIT… REMEMBER CHILUBA AND HIS GROUP

  87. While all heads are bowed down in prayer, the whole political tantrum is boiling up and this is a dangerous situation. The people are searching for the truth but they find no answers. When their patience runs out, who knows what they will do? This is the perfect setting for a political unrest.

  88. #s 106, 105…

He is a good man! He shall be rewarded equally. Just leave him alone! Why cant you find time to do do your stuff? Why bluffing and talking without action? Or waiting for a hurricane to blow my father? it does not pay!! Work and work!

None in government will ever help you not even the President!! take advantage if you can of what KK built!! Go to school and become who you want!!! Dont talk but work or study. Dont waste time whilst you are young but work. No amount of frustrations will help either. Work or study

    Junior Mulo

  89. I do not think even Jesus – wherever he is, can bring LPM to his old self again! Its time to horizon scan fro new leadership.

  90. Nice one #81 and #83. Let us maintain our constancy in doing things.

I hope LT will consider you suggestion on #83. We really need serious identity on LT so that imposters can not find it easy to do wicked stuff on our personalities.

Take care you all Zambians. We will surely change our Zambia if we continue working towards developing ourselves without fear or favour. Have a pleasant day you all.

  91. Its a REAL comic one hand urging pipo to pray while the other ‘ALELILA ABANTU AMASUKU PA MITWE’ Mulongos you are urging us to pray for levy’s quick recovery while on the other hand you stealing from us couldn’t you have waited for levy yourself b4 you can broadday light steal. SHAMU! SHAMURA.

  92. TRUELY LEVY WAS A DEVELOPMENTAL MINDED PERSON. THESE GUYS ARE BUSY TELLING US TO CLOSE OUR EYES AND PRAY SO THAT THEY, WHILE OUR EYES ARE CLOSED THEY ARE BUSY STEALING BECAUSE EVEN IF LPM WAS TO COME BACK THEY WON’T REVERSE THE SITUATION.

  93. Guys is anyone on the site with Privaledged data on Levys condition. There alot of stories one says his in a coma! another that his on life support! another ati he cant speak just writes and that his coming Back soon , which is which and Y did cabinate increase their salaries?

Be help us and which way do we think Zambia is headed Politically. R we going to wait for 90 days?

  94. its immoral of you ka mulongo to even justify your stealing of pipo’s money. Can you also increase civil servant’s salaries immediately. YOU PUNKIE!

  95. MULONGOTI JUNIOR YOU HAVE IT VERY WRONG. YOUR FATHER WILL FACE THE SAME MUSIC HE HAS BEEN DISHING OUT TO THE CHILUBA CRONIES. IN FACT YOUR FATHER HAS NEVER WON ANY ELECTION. HE IS A NOMINATED MP AND WITHOUT LPM HE IS USELESS AND IMPOTENT SO JUST SHUT UP AND ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN AND IF YOU WANT WHAT YOU WILL BE LIKE IN A FEW YEARS TIME LOOK AT CASTRO CHILUBA!

  96. Most comments on this site are so negative and to say the least most negative comments look like they come from people logging on the net from Kamwala market from some of those guys that have whole day doing nothing. Can whoever owns this site please do something about it otherwise you are losing people that visit it. This is the last time I am coming to this site. Thanks for wasting my time.

  97. LPM is be greatly missed for his valuable and positive contribution to ISSUES both locally and out of the Country. A number of our politian wanted to travalise his approach to issues at the expense of real developmental issues, comments like what has he done for this Country? This question was not serious and more of a short term approach to problem solving. A man is judged by the systems put in office and how those whon govern view their role to the people they govern.

  98. #109 JESUS is very real , there is nothing that is IMPOSSIBLE with him .You better repent , #116 I like your resoning.

  99. I think Zambians need to start aggressively demanding that their leaders do something about the vacuum in the office of the President. This cant be allowed to go on forever. Cabinet MUST as a matter of urgency ask the Chief Justice to appoint a medical board. Zambians please inundate the papers with your letters.. march the streets! we cant go on like this

  100. Several times in church, I have been taught to pray directly for something affecting me or someone else. We have in church prayed for HIV or cancer patients. For the current non-stop prayers in Zambia , we seem to have no leadership in directing the prayer. Are our prayers abstract. what are we praying for. Are we playing for recovery from a coma or praying for recovery from heart attack. Can someone please inform me of what we the nation is playing for. Pastors actually lay the hand on were the pain can be felt. In this case the prayers will be in vain if people are not told what to pray for.

  101. It is not necessary to behave like wild animals, systems are in place and the truth eventually shall be reviewed but for now we give the benefit of doubt. We should not assume that LPM is being converted into an alien and hence we demand instant information. The issue is about recuputuration and knowing very well the CONSTITUTION will prevail. It will be highly dissapointing to match in the streets ONLY for LPM to show up and judge us evil beings. Let one analyse issues at their levels imagine in our workplaces when we are sick how many days is the Organisation supposed to start the process of recruitment and what is the impact to the family much as one might be in a coma.

  102. It seems to MULONGOTI Lesa ni nkoma matwi! Are we forcing God? We have prayed let’s not behave as if we are doubting what we have been asking from him. Let’s pray for peace and let his will be done from what we have alredy asked him. God is not like you Mulongoti who does not listen.

  103. Presidency is about service to the public. It is not personal to holder. The reason we are so behind as Africaans is because we look at poltical office as a privilege. In fact we as Zambians would be doing LPM a great service if we relieved him of his dities so that he can rest. A country cant come to a standstill because the president is ill! Ariel Sharon was in a Comma for a week and already there was a replacement, not just in name but indeed as well. RB does no have the same kind of powers. Lets be serious. LPM is sick and we should not moralise. Use logic

  104. Besides, are we not ashamed that our president is being looked after in a french hospital. Is that not an admission by the government that it has FAILED to provide proper medical services. why cant he be treated in Zambia? The man is just being kept alive by machines. Why should Zambian tax payers foot this bill as well as that of hordes of family members holed up in France when he can be kept STABLE here at UTH? Imagine Sarkozy lying in UTH, leaving hospitals in France. Where is our PRIDE?

  105. Mu Zambian, Zambia is not a company. It is a country and as such, it’s running must respond to a multitude of interests. Our Constitution should be explicit enough to stipulate the acceptable length of time that a country can run without a president, or in the alternative, it should give the acting president enough powers to run the country effectively. Nothing should be left to chance. President Mwanawasa is a SERVANT of the Zambian people. WE employ him for public service and the office of the president must be understood as such. It is not meant to provide economic relief for his family. In any case, he will will be taken care of for life, by virtue of him having been Prez.

  106. listen u pipo like a month ago we would get funny updates on him being stable,,but rite now there is nothing and its even become normal to live on without him,,,all goverment should do is choose some one to replace the mighty muwelewele..we need president,,imagine the launch and ground breaking ceremony of the all africa games has been postponed till the man recovers….zambians kkkaaaaaya

  107. #113 Tell me which Country and quote were it is explicit. Remember the constitution should provide for contineuty and also not encumbrace those in office with NITTYN GRITTY and PETTY misunderstanding. The office is being run by a human being and not machines therefore they have a certain level of privacy (which you might not agree) and certain disclosure levels. For now the constitution is very sufficient and the issue should be resolved at the appropriate time and should not be a source of worry. Even servant has a right of disclosure as per the universal rights of an individuals. The ONLY thing to note is that if there are lies for how long will they run.

  108. There is a time you have to diffrentiate between President and Presidency, the problem with us is that we are stuck with the President and not the Presidency which is clouding our judgement. Mandela is referred to as President Nelsons Mandele, Bill Clinton, name them are still being referred to us Presidents, even Mugabe i imagine will still be President but is anybody concerned about that no way we are concerned about the Presidency why Mulongoti should not get confused here, he should actually encourage people to pray for the President and start working on ensuring the Office is well catered for.

  109. Mu Zambian, Yes Conctitutions should be flexible, which is why amendments happen. Nothing is cast in stone. It is precisely for reasons such as the one we are confronted with that we need clarity on this issue and since you asked which countyry has a constitutional provision to this effect, please read the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution for an example. And if you want a debate on constitutions we can enter a separate and private debate. I love the subject!

  110. #135, a lot of things have been postponed and we are losing a lot out of this indecision, the day people will realise that “time is money” that will be the day!!!!

  111. Why pray for a stone to turn into Nshima when you can work hard for the money buy UNGA!!

Why should Mulongoti force us to be praying? We shall when there is need!!! Let him pray first for two weeks!! He was busy fasting for an increment whikst we were praying for the LPM.

Mulongoti and your friends be serious! If you want Levy to fine your focus could have been centered around LPM and not these increments we are hearing!!

  112. As our PREZDO Cycle Mata is preparing to confront LPM immidiately he returns, Mulongoti and his clonies should be packing their rags to go to the village after being fired by LPM..

  113. As our PREZDO Cycle Mata is preparing to confront LPM on cabinet salary increaments immidiately he returns, Mulongoti and his clonies should be packing their rags to go to the village after being fired by LPM..

  114. Cycle Mata is using everythin at his disposal to ensure that he goes un opposed at the upcoming PF convention, Dr Chishimba wanted to challenge him but he has been warned of being hounded out by the youths from the CB. SO kaya #142

  115. Levy will be replaced by 1 or 2nd January 2009 by a new President if he doesnt came and take charge.

By 29th September Cabinate will be forced to inact article 36

then three months end up to 29th December 2008

Allowance for 2 days for vote counts

By 2nd or so January we shall have a replacement if as atated above levy doesnt came back.

  116. Surely how long are we gonna be subjected to the same old tired SH!T comments!!!!! ha,

    nothing tangible upto now,

none of these so called men has the MACHENDE to spare the nation further abuse,

we need to turn the page and move on,

you can’t conceal a dead rat for long, it will stink,

this story is slowly beginning to stink

  117. you guys why should you insult ples speake sence not insults
i find it hard 4 some pipo dragging in insults

  118. i honestly think da salary increament isn’t right
with govt spending so much money on LPM’s hospital
bills and keeping up da family there…hotel bills.
and now this increament!!!!! they could ve waited

  119. #130 hey man sarkozy is busy promoting his wife’s new album. he doesnt even know mwanawasa.
i doubt if there is any french government official who has gone to see him(we would have known his condition).
    just keep praying. hahaaa.

  120. its not fair sarkozy should go and see lpm..soon hahahah..us wen a presdient comes here in zambia its hits headlines

  121. Hom Mulongoti, when praying try lifting your hands to God, with God there is nothing like a GRZ S/ Person. All are equal before God.

  122. I asked where our pride as Zambians is. Why should the President be hospitalised in France.. What does that say about our health systeme.. that it has failed te? Yassir Araft was there, but as we all know, he was from a ‘failed’ state… are we saying Zed si a failed state? Is he saying UTH is not good enough? whose fault is that???

  123. Anti Aids Activist Dr. Simon Mphuka dies
Churches Health Association of Zambia (CHAZ) Executive Director, Simon Mphuka has died.

Dr. Mphuka who was evacuated to South Africa after a short illness – Wednesday passed away – Monday.

CHAZ Vice Board Chairman, Benson chitumbo confirmed his death in a statement to ZNBC news today.

The funeral for Dr. Mphuka is at plot number 3704, Chakeluka road in Olympia park in Lusaka.

  124. We should not confise ourselves with terms such a president and presidency or the 5th amended but not sure of what is stated, the issue is that our current constitution from Chapter 36 to Chapter 39 has clear provisions of what should happen in case of any eventuallity to the president and who should act and the duration for acting. The issue is the constitution places the mandate to call forth a medical board on cabinet to avoid confusion and power HUNGRY CHAPS trying to take advantage of the situation when the incumbent is recovering or before it is tabled before parliament.

  125. 156 Just from reading the Constitution and what our current laws provide , one could project the analysis as indicated in 144

If you read the provisions of article 36 cabinat can seat at any time when the feel the Head of state is incapacited , no duration of time is given….but we all know that a civil servant/ even in the private sector common practise is that one should be on sick leave for 90 payable..after 90 days cabinat will be forced to act, mind you levy went in hospital on 29th June. 3 months after this is 30th Sept , then the constitution talks of 90 days before elections so add 90 to 30th sept end up to 29 or 30th december, 2008

  126. Mwiinga #81 I knew from the very begining that your ID had been “compromised” when I saw that nauseating blog; I know how intelligently you contribute and i knew that you couldn’t sink that low. I am happy that my suspicions have been confirmed. Glad to hear your positive contributions. You are known by your fruits, so when we see useless contributions, we shall know that it is that dirty admirer of yours.

  127. It must be said that GOD answers prayers in his own time. And like alot of bloggers have said.. Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE with our GOD. Let’s continue praying.

And of course in Zed, a minsiter attending a prayer session is ‘NEWS’ esp relating LPM.

Sad enough in the bid for GRZ to assure us that it is business as usual, GRZ is making wrong decission – increase Politicians wages. The increase is wrong and so is the TIMING. It appear GRZ can not wait for LPM issue to be more clearer to the public.
At the moment we are in dark about LPM. But we are clear is that Politicians will get a raise. Mr Lupiya Banda must NOT authorise these nonsence.

  128. By the way, what work is mulongoti doing at the moment? Has he suddenly become the spokesperson for the church for him to be calling upon the church to do that which is expected of them.

In case mulongoti does not understand the bible, God is never mocked. God listens only to those who are upright, honest, obedient and who love their neighbours as themselves.

According to CSO, the inflation has risen to 12.8 percent due to the oil prises, and these hefty salary increments. We in a crisis.

  129. The ministers know so well Levy might not came back to rule so an exit strategy has been done to esure they can be safe before they leave….

  130. Even the so called presidents from rich countries will go to the best hosipitals. Cuba has one of the best health care systems in the world but they invited a Spanish spealist to treat him. How many of you here on this forum to to UTH or any government hosipitals in Zambia? Stop talking nonsense.

  131. #164 CHIMUTU, are you fooling us which other hospital can we attend apart from the stinking UTH. MUSULA OBE!!

  132. Shidada, they invited a spanish Dr.. They did NOT take Fidel and his ENTIRE family to Spain.. there is the difference

  133. Lukasa times has made a lot money since levy got sick throu many topics concern levy and other media through adverts of ‘wishing quick recovery’. It is truth that says your miserly is my gain.

  134. It one thing to call a specialist and quite another to leave your own country to go and be looked after by another country’s health system… You are not answering my question which is “Hs the govt failed to provide proper health care systems in Zambia?” Are we not ashamed that our Prseident should be shuttled to France leaving UTH. It says that the govt has faield to prop up UTH.. We have faield to have ONE national health institution. The millions being spent on LPM could be spent to imporve UTH so that it benefits MANY not just one person.. That is my point. Please Shidada answer this question!

  135. Thanks nationalist #160, I guess variety is the spice of life. #152 Ba Kambole, kwena ichibumba echi, nomba chalaba ichi bumba chachine pantu tachakula landa tefyo, iyo twalalolela.

  136. Actually Kambole #170, to drive this point home and to counter what Shidada is implying, when Prof. Mubanga Kashoki had a a brain tumor, he was recommended for evacuation and he refused and said what is in RSA that is not here and when he was told that it was the equipment he simply said well I would rather be treated with the zambian doctors at UTH, can’t that equipment be bought, that is how the equipment was bought and he was treated. So the lack of Goodwill is what is causing all this embarrassment where a Head of State is in France at the expense of his own country health care system. Cuba is advanced and that advancement has been done at the expense of a lot of things…

  137. #116 and #120, unlike you, I am not afraid of unproven history, heresay and the unknown! So, rather than rebuke me for stating my facts, target your energies at focusing on the future!

  138. I just started reading and I saw #4 Mwiinga’s comment with shock! I never placed you to be a dirty blogger if anything I enjoyed your blogs seriously am very disappointed with you I though I should let you know before I conitnue reading the other comments.

  139. #174 thanks for your compliments, please read on and I hope the “fake” who has been demonising me will get a que of the calibre of a human being I am. Thanks all the same and I hope your dissappointment wll turn into happiness as you read on.

  140. Mwiinga my friend from lusaka, I still think this guy Annonymus was the one using your ID to insult people on this blog. I HAVE been following his comments closely as part of my job and i can tell you He is the SUSPECT FOR NOW. wATCH OUT WHAT EVER YOU CALL your self Annonymous we can still locate.

  141. Zedians do u remember wen LPM came on the scene u called him a cabbage and he endevoured to prove otherwise;well now u have yo cabbage pity u cant see the state it in.

  142. Our Goverment is too boring. How many times are you going to defend your self on this matter. Zambians please lets wake up

  143. I think the issue should not be mixed up between oranges, bananas, Kasava and sweet potatoes. Stroke is not any easy illness neither is High blood pressure. These require complicated treatment which in most cases requires a lot of substantial investment which cannot be tied to LPM alone but to the whole medical system since independence. A number of high ranking individuals have moved from their countries due to such illnesses and in most cases these can only be treated well in Countries were the medical system has a lot of public enterprise initiative and individuals able to fund research which is not the case with ZED, there is inadequate private and public finance and also the confidence

  144. by individuals is not their due to the poverty levels and also this ZED habit of viewing everything abroad is not a SUBSTANDARD. Imagine all the Zambians who are now taking their children out of the country and even some of the individuals on this list have lost interest in our own systems. The issue is how does this translate to the life of a president!!!

  145. when shaka zulu was stabbed..his pple demanded to see there wenawezulu and they did..so who is lpm not to be seen..let us see lpm even on a bed ala!!!

  146. #174 Mwiinga, when I saw the words attributed to you. I really did know it was not you my brother. I know though I have not had a personal contact with you, you are a gentleman. Sad that your good citizenship has fallen in the hands of vultures. They can use your name, but they will never be you.

  147. Yeah Mwiinga,it is so unusual when summer comes and there id no darkness at all.The same happens when winter comes too.many long dark hrs.No place is sweet as home…miss my mabisi all stuff.
The hr will coe and not the MMD hr they spoke anout some yrs ago but the hr for Zambian people to say enuff is enuff.Checked Maureen Mwanawasa on the front page of the post, expected to see the husband too but the photo was either taken long tym ago or it was taken out of the place LPM is.
Gov´t watch what you doing now cos every little thing you do will come back at you.

  148. #18 thanks for your kind words, Kalos #186 long time how is Carli? I missed your intelligent contributions or are you scared of being labelled the anit-christ again (LOL)? Long time my bro.

  149. The Zambian government is so foolish and stupid. By the way, are we going to be surprised if a soldier declared himslef a president of Zambia? I mean, it appears we have failed to handle the lpm issue in a civil way. I am getting worried that if we are not careful, we might just be preparing our selves for a military coup!

  150. guys, levy is dead how many times will mulongoti cheat the nation, instead of concentrating in contracting a new government mulongoti and his fellow thieves are there, starting a new economical plundering, mwe fipuwa, pray for kak levy is dead….

  151. The foreign media were condemned by our government for spreading rumours to the effect that LPM had passed on.You mean the same media cannot update us on his condition. When leaders in other parts of the world are unwell the entire world is kept informed on either the progress or deterioration of their wealth. Why this secrecy surrounding our President’s condition ? Death is something that mankind has learned to live with since time immemorialIt is part of us. Now the Zambia people are left to speculate. THe ones to blame are the Mulongoti and company.People want to see their leader. You want them to do things that you would like them to do. You mean you have heard the ir message !

  152. reading today’s post about the president’s state of health as described by the first lady, i think our president is still very sick. all i wish him a quick recovery.

  153. Maureen is killing the husband…I wonder what Mirriam’s mum(ex-wife) says about it!LPM needs alot of rest bane….First lady is a plunderer and is alwasy hungry for power and money…don’t listen to her!!LPM is very critical..ask Amos Malupenga from the Post!!

  154. Amos Malupenga caught Maureen offguard.. She was busy having fun at her apartment in Paris. Being in foreign land, she could not hide herself in the crowd. But the surprising part is that She is spending time surfing things on the InterNet instead of being at the bedside. Looks like Maureen is telling us something, She said she is finishing her MBA within two(2) months.. which means LPM will be back in October… Good!!!

So, on their return, it will be Dr LPM, Maureen(with her MBA), Chipo, and the other family members who are by the bedside

  155. Quite new tha blog. am concerned tho, is their a way to have some subs’ edited beforehand. surely we can mix brains & folly. peace!

  156. Making an official entry!! quite an interesting blog.if only we could have less ‘tiny brains’ out of the blog( as in edit tha stuff beforehand) to y’all peace! am out.
