RB’s curriculum vitae

Share

Mr. Banda has unveiled his leadership and governance curriculum vitae, saying he had been a Member of Parliament for a long time, a Minister of Foreign Affairs and also of Mines, an ambassador to the United States of America, and the United Nations among other diplomatic portfolios.

He added that he worked as a General Manager for the National Agriculture Marketing Board (NAMBOARD) during the first republic.

He further noted that he is a farmer and therefore understood the needs and problems of the agricultural sector in the country.

Mr. Banda said with such political, government and diplomatic experience, he was the right presidential candidate among others to be elected as Zambia’s fourth republican president.

The acting President has since asked Zambians to be judgmental and analytical in comparing him to other candidates contesting the forthcoming presidential by-election.

And Mr. Banda has thanked the ruling MMD and its members for their support and for electing him for the October 30th, 2008 presidential election.

He pledged to work with all other candidates who contested with him during the time the party was electing a presidential candidate.

The candidature in the MMD was contested by a number of people, which Mr. Banda said could have been a divisive factor if the party was not democratic and united.

Other people that contested the candidature for the president in the MMD were Minister of Finance, Ng’andu Magande, Home Affairs Minister, Ronnie Shikapwasha, former Vice Presidents Enoch Kavindele and Nevers Mumba and former Works and Supply Minister in the MMD government Ludwig Sondashi.

Mr. Magande, Mr. Kavindele, Lieutenant General Shikapwasha, and Dr. Sondashi were present at the launch of the campaigns and held hands with Mr. Banda to symbolize unity of purpose for the forthcoming elections.

The seat of republican president fell vacant following the death of the sitting President Levy Mwanawasa on August 19th this year.

Other political parties contesting the presidential by-election are opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) which has fielded its leader, Hakainde Hichilema and the Patriotic Front (PF) whose candidate is its president, Michael Sata.

  1. Impressive!!! Manje age atate…mwakula. You should have been heading back to the land. How are you going to convince the retirees to go and pick themselves up in their villages so that agric would prosper??

  4. Are there some visible achievements during his previous working? Zambia needs a leader who can point at what he has previously contributed to their previous employers and added value in one way or the other. Some people could be there and were able to see these contributions. Zambia needs to develop and it will be posible by having leaders with proven past achievements.Let all leaders Provide electorates with this information to come up with a good choice.Learn from Pf Just as the MMD has learned from Pf on reduction(a bit) on taex and widdening the tax base to minibuses ….

  5. The CV is totally incomplete. In so doing , i have a question to ask him. How far has he gone in Education? what he should know is that the position he has given us are all Political, I haven’t seen any Professional Position amoung the positions he held.

Amasambililo Tabakwata ba Rupiah to tell you the truth. He found himself where he is by Lucky.

    VIVA HH

  6. By the way, when other party members contested the candidature, it was not and could not have been devisive, it was ‘DEMOCRACY’

  7. Please check Akashambatwa Lewanika’s CV and analyse what he has done for the people of Zambia.
This CV is not impressive, it means nothing.

    VIVA SATA

  8. SHAME UPON THE SO CALLED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, WHO DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO WRITE A CV.

I SUGGEST HIS ADVISERS TO ARE ALSO INCORRIGIBLE. BY THE WAY, WHY CAN’Y THEY VISIT HH’S WEBSITE, PURCHANCE THEY CAN STEAL SOME KNOWLEDGE FROM THERE. WE ALSO NEED SATA’S CV SO AS TO MAKE COMPARISONS.

BA RUPIAH MWATUSEBANYA. SHAME, SHAME RUPIAH. WE

  9. It was all because he was a UNIPIST. A UNIP cadre. That is why he landed all those positions.I can see the resurection of UNIP.Anywhere i have no choice coz Sata is Satanic and Hichilema is Ichilema.RB GO!GO! GO! VIVA UNIP,UNIP MULILO WAIKATAKO WAPYA.

  10. Good posting from Luanshyan. RB needs to tell the electorate what his achievements were both in government and at NAMBOARD. Minus this list of achievements I am for his age-mate in the boat. At least we know his achievements. By the way, what happened today when RB went to Soweto?

  11. #6.Good Point. He is better than Sata though. All I know is that Sata was a constable (Policeman) before he joined politics. What college or University Sata went to, yet alone Seconday school know one says.

I would like an educated person runnning my country. Running a nations Economy is not like running a City Municipal Council.

Please pipo back home vote wisely ” empty vessels make the most noise” .

  12. Am tired of all the beating about the bush from these presidential candidates. Its time for them to lay down, step by step how they will tackle issues of concern and not just mentioning them. We all know poverty, education, health etc need to be improved. Big Q is, how are they going to do it!!!!

  13. Akalwimbo kaba Sata nakawama. I’m not for him but I couldn’t help but dance to the tune. Anyone wants it post your e-mail address.

  14. I really really really want HH to win.

He is educated and is probably the only one who understands economics.

He is the one who has been challenging govt to invest in agriculture which by my standards is a good idea (given majority of Zambians are subsistence farmers).

He promises loans and technology in the agriculture sector and more subsidies.

HH, I REALLY WANT YOU TO WIN.

Zambians back home, please vote wisely.

  15. HH CV means nothing without denouncing his triblism background even if it brouht him to his current position. Let him behave Like Obama

  16. I’ve just read HH’s CV and I must say, its a good one. What is Sata’s website and need to his CV as well. Does anyone know?

  17. Find a well articulated CV for HH on:

  18. #23 give credit where its due. RB and Sata can equally be accused of tribalism but thats not the issue here. We want to see Sata’s CV!!!!!

  19. @ #23 LCK

Can you please provide proof that HH is a tribalist.

Accusing HH of tribalism is like accusing Barack Obama of racism. There is no proof to back it up.

  20. #24. Thats my point as well. We need to see Satas Credentials ! All I ahve heard is that he was a constable before joining politics!!

  21. Ba Rupiah capwa ifyofine. Imwe tamwaileko ku ZNS?

Iyo mulasekesha mwebantu and you think you have the Q’s for Zed presidency. Shrek ulebako serious waumfwa ai???!!!

  22. HH, THE MAN
    Zambian citizen born in 1962
Married to Mutinta with three (3) children
    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
BA Economics & Business Administration (University of Zambia)
MBA Finance & Business Strategy (University of Birmingham, United Kingdom)
    Trained Business Negotiator
    Qualified Change Management Practitioner
    Member – Institute of Directors

  23. #6 are you aware that RB has a BA Economics from the prestigious University of Lund in Sweden and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies from Wolfson College, Cambridge?

    research before you speak.

  24. Has he mentioned his marital Status and his Social failures? How about family problems that we have heard about? Are they not important in leadership?

  25. Age is a serious matter in this election. The life expectancy of a Zambian in Zambia is 42 yrs old – according to the statistics I recently saw. In light of this data, those who are over 70 yrs old are supposed to declare that they will not continue with their nominations for President of Zambian in the forth coming Presidential-by-election so that we can serve the money for developmental projects in the country. RB can continue as HH’s Veep while Hon Sata can be an advisor to the Incoming President.
This is it and nothing more, nothing less. Viva UPND’s HH who is 46 yrs old.

  26. Tubashemune Shame! Shame! Shame! Ba Rupiah, Ba Rupiah… balemona kwati balikosa kanshi mayo na strategy tabakwata tabaishiba nefyakwasuka ama questions mu parliament. Ngamwabepusha bala aulafye imyau.

    Awe twakana abakote!!!

But guys am still in a dilemma. Dont know who to give my vote coz all these craps are fake. Bonse batatu!

    Takuli plan Z!!!

  27. Kamuzu Banda had an impressive CV, with medical degrees from both UK and USA. Look what he did. Band, HH and Sata are all unrepentent tribalists who will take us backwards. I think we are staring at the abyss. If ever there was a time for prayer, this is it.

  28. A CV is just a piece of paper showing what one has achieved in those areas of specialty. Reading HH’s CV, I do not see his political metal for me to make a conclusion that he is right for the job.You must remember that FTJ had far less political clout than Arthur Wina, but he won on the basis of being a unionist. Pipo had developed trust in FTJ along the way and believed he could deliver. This is no way intended to belittle HH’s educational qualifications. Bravo to a son of Zambia with impressive educational credentials. But his CV does not tell us the successes he has scored as a politician.Pipo, running a corporation is not the same as running a country.

  29. The best for HH is not to answer questions he (HH) has been anwerring over tribalism since 2006 and thus forge ahead with the real issues. The tribalists will continue barking but let us progressive Zambians make progress. Hon Sata – a well known tribalist – tried to litter RB with tribalism by accusing RB as a tribalist. What did RB do? Rb never answered back – and this is what HH has been doing since the POST problem which HH must continue doind. Those skeptics who are ill-bent should be left to answer themselves to their useless questions as we make progress. Vote PROGRESSIVE HH for President in the 2008 Presidential-by-election.

  30. #46 you have introduced something very nice – the Chiluba populaerity on oratory. Zambia does not need orators like Chiluba and Sata who messed the Zambian economy from 1991 to 2001, but MOTHER ZAMBIA needs a man we can trust because of education and management in his home and not house, a building only where there are no manners.
We experimented with Chiluba on the so-called political experience since he was a trade unionist. What happened is clear for sensible Zambians to acknowledge – A NATIONAL DISASTER. Someone said, “we learn from mistakes.” This is the time to show that Zambians learned their lesson.

  31. LOL…Who has seen the front page of the post.

“Callers to Radio QFM on Tuesday night annoyed Vernon Mwaanga when they frequently warned and pleaded with him not to rig the October 30 presidential elections.”

LOL, I just had to share that. It is too funny.

  32. Ba LT you are blocking some intellectual contributions to this blog. If u are editing or sensoring them, then pliz speed up ur process.

  33. I have broused through Sata’s website. First thing i noticed was the CAPITAL LETTERS of the way forward. Very unprofessional. There’s no educational background so anyone out there who has this info please let us know. He does not say much about foreign investment other than he values it. Then he implies that colonial rule was better than post independence (what about the strong economy zambia had in the 70’s before copper prices went down). He intends to bring chiefs into politics. Imagine the likes of Mwanachingwala in local government!!!

  34. The 2 main choices we are faced with, RB and HH seem both good ones. RB has a proven bussiness ability and HH is young and well educated with also proven bussiness track record.
PLM left such a legacy that we will not accept crap for a leader.
As for Sata, don’t forget he supports immunity for plunderers and in fact was a main player and FJT henchman. On reflection did FJT in choosing PLM do a Boris yelstine on Zambia ? Those who know current affaires will remeber Yelstine as a corrupt drunk, who choose as his sucssesor Mr Putine, a thorn in the west and a russian nationalist who has revived russia. Did FJT have Zambias best intreast at heart when he choose PLM ? thought for food.

  35. #53Shushushu i thought you knew better going by your title or is it gon’ga. Anyway we all know that the real shushuz are ahead of the game and use proxy means to access info and do not waste time on LT blogs. That said, you are spot on! FTJ dribbled his friends with impunity but he ended-up being caught in the process – Never leave an enemy standing or behind. You can tel from the way things are going right now that that enemy is still standing and this time FTJ is expected to be in more trouble,, unfortunately.

  36. ba banda we have seen your CV, but i think it’s a political CV mwandi. We want education CV mdala!!! Give us education CV we see if you didnt go ku school ya ku back door!!

  37. sata says its a lie that he is old (on his website) but that he is younger than rb. my granddad is 89, my grandma is 86. she is younger than grandad but she is still old

  38. RB must stop craking jokes. That was his life history that should be read when he dies at his burial site. A CV contains achievements. RB must sit down with his sweet sixten Thandiwe to rewrite the history into an eye catching CV.

  39. Ba Princes pa Mangalande (#24) mwashibukeni mayo? Sata has never had a CV and will never have one coz it too late. But maybe he could tell the nation how many cuban CIGARS he has smooked in his life

  40. Eduketioni eduketioni for who??? All I know is that whoeva takes ova will become a Dr six months into an office. Is there a zambian president that ever left without becoming a Dr? I am also thinking of contesting so that I can become a Dr. Right now am just a chibombe bombe. What say ya???

  41. #61, do you see how people expose bustup!ty.
You should have asked ” do HH or Sata” bra bra bra..

Why do you have to single out HH? Bakutuma?

  42. # 35,
Thanks for the fill-up.Besides Economics and Development studies, RB hold a Masters in International Relation with concentration in Political Economy and dispute resolution.Let those who want research on his bills and motions at the United Nations. All is there to read.President Mwanawasa has left us all Zambians a standard. No one enters State House without an authentic Bachelors Degree minimum. We cannot allow a rascal to rule over a progressive critical thinking Generation.Uneducated have a natural spirit of insecurity and inferiority. They easily turn tyranical.Look at Dada Idi Amin.Insults can never build an inclusive society we envisage.

  43. If you are not educated and spend all your time day in and out just insulting in blogs without improving yourself, don’t dream of an executive position in the power collidors of our homeland.Educated people will increasingly control your destiny. There is no future in illiteracy.

  44. RB can have a CV as long as he wants but he does not talk about specifics, it’s all rhetoric. How he expects to cartel food price increaces and create jobs.

  45. Instead of giving out sugar, he should explain with numbers how he will reduce Zambia’s unepmloyment from the current 35%

  46. Callers to Radio QFM on Tuesday night annoyed Vernon Mwaanga when they frequently warned and pleaded with him not to rig the October 30 presidential elections.

  47. HH can you please let us know how you made your millions
otherwise some people may be led to think economics
degree plus MBA = WEALTH.Just what is your NET WORTH?
Just let us know in case we are led to think you got
it through dubious means. At least we know of ba Sata’s
dealings in the past with houses!

  48. i thought a CV is suppose to include education back ground ?
even Grey Zulu was a minister, secretary general bla bla bla, his is not independence its a mordern world please.where are the young ones.
kaunda wasnonly 40 when he became president.

  49. 73, RB would be the most educated president so far, if elected. He has an MSc, we would e going backwards if it were Mr Sata with good Grade 7 results.

  50. Vote Rupiah “Robinho” Banda period.
Chiluba proved to us that Zambia does not need a person who is quick to talk and slow to feel for the ordinary zambian.

  51. Iwe # 1 who told you that invwi and politics dont mix.
Look at John Mccain. He is 72 as well even though Rupiah Banda looks younger.
Dont vote for a young leader who will easily get carried away with designer shoes and suits.
    “Robinho’s” hat is cheap.
We need the old while the young continue to learn from them.

  52. Banda has no spine. Instead of tossing out the salary increament for his sponsors, he sends it to back to them. For what? Where is the leadership? No stamina, No spine, No decisive Leadership. No vote from sane Zambians.

  53. Hail, bloggers, me back from me 9 to 5 double shifts, so me go join de chat now. Me hear seh me friendnemy Conman been looking for I man, him want to know which presidential candidate Dread support. Conman, me bredda, nyam dis:
I an I no inna dem Babylon tug a war business, seen? But if you really wanna know, me skim seh Sata coulda run tings fe di poor people dem. De sufferah’s voice is Dread’s voice, seen? Easy conman…next time me go let you have a look at me CV. You never no seh Dread well educated, eh?

  54. WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR CV WE NEED ARCHIEVEMENTS THAT IMMEDIATELY BENEFIT AND ARE READILY RECOGNIZED BY A COMMON ZAMBIAN. SATA CLEANED HOSPITALS AND CITIES. HOSPITALS ARE COMMON TO COMMON ZAMBIANS. ZAMBIANS, TRY ANOTHER GOVT. FULL STOP.

  55. If education is the main issue, we can as well borrow Robert Mugabe.
“Wisdom is not a product of schooling, but of the life- long attempt to acquire it.” Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955)
“There are a number of qualities which are central to leadership at any level. A leader must be able to inspire and be seen to have integrity. These qualities will develop more easily by someone who works in a team, who learns effectively and who communicates and explains policy. A leader who sees quickly to the heart of a problem will be able to position himself or herself and be able to gauge situations correctly.” (Sir Liam Donaldson)

  56. Well HH does have an impressive CV… IT’s true not all Zambians will read his sight but this is the exposure that our country lacks and desperately needs, i am impressed that the candidates are actually incooperating technology into their campaign, it is good especially for those of us who are away from home… RB has the experience and we cannot deny that… Sata i don’t trust, i cant say much but i have mixed feelings about him… This will be a very critical election period in the history of Zambia and like my fellow peers have stated so often “may the best man win…”

  57. should listen to the tv sir. Sikota said HH SAID NO LOZI can rule zambia. HH never disputed . I think that was a tribal statement

  58. The people of estern province ate sweet potatoes with zigolo(glucose) i think there have been so much development and this will make them vote for MMD)))))))

  59. A good C.V and tonnes of political experience adds up to zero if not underpinned by wisdom that is very critical for leadership. Looks like the part cadre mentality i.e ‘vigilante syndrome’is coming back.

  60. SORRY RB.THE ARROW IS POINTING TO THE FUTURE AND NOT TO YESTERYEARS.PLEASE TRAIN US HOW TO CATCH FISH AND EAT FOR LIFE AND NOT GIVING US FISH TO EAT TODAY AND STARVE TOMORROW.

  61. #80. aad other bloggers who are showing ingrorance. There is a difference between a CV and a Manifesto. For the job Banda is applying for, political experience is a plus to show that he qualifies. If he is applying for a job at Bank of Zambia he will talk about his Economics degree.

His Manifesto will tell us what programs or ways he is going to eradicate poverty, increase jobs, teacher wages etc.

  62. You call that RB’s CV. you are joking! This man is learned and has worked pretty well. All well meaning Zambians should not lie like I’ve seen a number of bloggers saying the man is not educated. Give me your email address so i can send you RB’s complete CV so you can stop the nosense you are printing. He attained a Bachelors degree in 1964 from Lund University. In 1977 read for post graduate diploma at Wolfson College, part of the world renowned University of Cambridge.

Do your home work young lads. Be smart; dont just talk, read more or better still keep quiet and be a good listener.

  63. I am suprised that people are asking for sata’s CV. I am sure we all know what he is capable of.even wiki knows just read wikipedia review of the three prominent candidates and you will see what a stack contrast exists. One article almost makes you make up your mind as to who best fits the job instantly.Especially if you understand the dynamics of ZED politics.

  64. It is surprising that some of the bloggers want evidence of what H.E. Banda has done for Zambia during his tenure as a Government officer. I wish to say that Mr Banda did a lot. It was during his time when he was Foreign Minister of Zambia that the struggle to liberate the rest of Southern Africa was at its pick. You could not attain that goal if you had a man at the helm of diplomacy of a country who could not articulate himself to the tenets of international diplomacy, let alone not have the skill to negotiate with other international diplomats. Why do you think VJ Mwaanga endorsed him? Success as a politician who is in government is measured by teamwork and not individualistic.

  65. #80 good point. We want to hear specifics of how he will make life for the common Zambian more affordable and job creation. Not just rhetoric

  66. If our so-called front-runner RB would not collect a single vote if he stood in the USA or Canada with a shoddy, non-specific manifesto and all the sugar “gifts”

  67. Non of the candidates has talked about Zambia’s Foreign Policy and Defence. We as a country need a well prescribed Foreign Policy. What happened to us over the Zimbabwe saga should excite us into making a meaningful Policy. Also Zimbabwe’s threat to attack some neighboring countries, i think including Zambia should be an eye-opener to us. We need a firm policy on Defence i.e. purchase of modern equipment, training of our soldiers. I realised that when Zimbabwe talked about attacking some countries, Zambia tacked its tail between her legs. Only Botswana had the guts to respond. Comeon, lets be a sovreign state and not a door mat.

  68. HH would have been the ideal candidate here but the circumstacesby which he ascended to the helm were so pathetically stinking and destroyed any chance he would then and for the rest of his life have had to run this country. Until such a time Tongas realise that what they did after Mazoka’s demise amounted to shooting themselves in the foot, the likes of HH will forever be hauling like ‘suntwes`(hyenas) from the back benches. Further, any person who would allow himself to ride such a tsunamic wave to vernomous tribal bigotry to power is a fxxxng SOB who should never rule this country. For one, I will vote for a dead Levy first and die than cast one for damned HH.

  69. HH and SAT dont just waste yo time making noise.viva VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ VJ…………? and RB RB RB RB RB RB RB…..? WE NO WAT 2 DO.

  70. RB may be the right candidate but the act of distributing sugar was a deliberate wrong advise by the vultures surrounding him. RB be careful with the people you work with. Political Strategist is now back into the seat

  71. I think people at the City Market mistook RB for a hippo when they started chanting “Pabwato! Pabwato!” Because that’s not his party symbol. Check out the picture in the Post.

  72. #102 what was the major basis for Banda’s ascendancy to MMD presidential nomination according to his campaign manager Tetamashimba? Tetamashimba said that Magande can’t take over because he is a Tonga who can not win in Southern province. This statement was as strong, abeit in reverse, as the one made by Mwanajit when Mazoka died. Secondly I want to remaind you that you a young person and one day you might find yourself in a position where what your supporters say and what you believe in are different things. I look forward to a day when Zambians will say “what did Banda, HH or Sata say on this issue to deserve my vote and not what their supporters or the Post said.

  73. #102 stick to specifics. To say tongas shot themselves in the foot because of one person is unfair no matter how you dispise the tongas. I have lived in 8 provinces in Zambia, except Luapula, and I can tell you that I felt more at home in Southern province outside my home province. I found more people from other provinces in southern province than any area. If Zulu is your name there is somebody who could be your relative in a village near macha hospital with a name of Ngoma. In other provinces I never witnesed this. So let us not condemn innocent people. These are just politics. Tomorow you wil take your child to UTH and will be tread by a tonga doctor.

  74. #102 for one I have no problems with Banda because I know the level of service that KK instilled in RB but what concerns me is the people around him more especially that RB can’t chase these people because he is a nobody in MMD. Levy wasted 3 to 4 years trying to fend off these criminals. I am afraid RB will spend the next 3 years fending off these plunders who are sticking to him like ticks. Secondly his age is of concern as it is for Sata. Sata also is just a thief. His record of banking council money in his account and carrying K2billion cash in his briefcase points to a hardcore thief. HH may not be the best brain in the country but IN THIS ELECTION he is a better candidate

  75. what UNIPist…all these chaps have UNIP to thank for their political experience.Though RB may have stayed for another 5 or say years in UNIP after Sata left, i see both of them in the same jacket.Sata sat on the fence for a long time before finally announcing that he had joined MMD…if surely UNIP policies and all were allready dead and buried did it have to take him ages to denounce his child hood party…..pipo lets not be cheated.Lets leave UNIP out of this ….this is about pipo who can deliver. AND WE SHOULD LOOK AT TEAM PLAYERS,LEADERS NOT RULERS…A LEADER WHO IS ABLE TO LISTEN NOT ONE WHO THINKS HE KNOWS IT ALL.

  76. #113 stop writing like a politician dodging questions, be to the point. We are hear to educate each other. You starting was good but you ending does not help anybody because you conclusion is like a parable in the bible. Can you drive your point home.

  77. CV or no CV, destiny matters! Its whether you were mean’t to be or not mean’t to be that matters!. RB’s face is not as SCARY as that of SATA in all the posted pictures on this website anyway..

  78. What is really happeining in Zambia is sad rb is too old and will be dribled by the mmd thieves rb is a slow old thinker do not trust him he is just as ulgly as satana of pf. And this brings to sata we can gamble a little with him for three year while we sort out this intellectual capble experienced and educated leadership vacum. Meanwhile this tonga bull remains where he is he sands no chance he needs to develop his own ideas instead of if kupyanika na na mazoka cheap bull s politics.

  79. HH s lack of political and public experience is a source of worry.Having education qualifications should not mean you are suitable to be a leader. We all have these education qualifications which might even be better than that of the Tonga Land President. In a complete form we only have two candidates Sata and Banda

  80. Lusaka Times is the next best thing that happened after the now lame duck unproffessional partisan unobjective Post!!! Viva LT viva!

  81. CVs are an indication and not an end in themselevs. You don’t give someone a job based on just the CV but on ones ability to apply one oneself. Performance is key. Can you deliver? I hate to say this but with regard to certain jobs one needs experience in a certain feild and not just the qualifications. If qualifications were a determinate factor Kalusha Bwalya would not have beaten Teddy Mulonga for the FAZ Chief position. All am saying is yes qualifications are important but those must be supplemented by the ability of oneself to perform. I have worked with Qualified Accountants who can even do a bank reconciliation – FACT.

  82. No ways This man is not ready
The man who is ready is Deepak patel
    Yes Deepak
He wont be a racist, do you want someone who has experience from running a business, ie enough experience to running a country

The man has links in Asia and India will invest heavily in zambia and we will benefit terribly

That man is Deepak patel, vote him as an Independent

Deepak is ready the asian community is now like 20% in Zambia population

If Obama can be accepted by Americans, then we ought to give Deepak a chance
    Thanks People

  83. Who is this man????
A man who gets things done, from his time as a minister under both of Zambia’s former presidents – Kenneth Kaunda and Frederick Chiluba. As Governor in 1985 he made his mark as a man of action with a hands on approach. He cleaned up the streets, patched roadways and built bridges in the city. When he was local government minister, the country’s roads were clean and the councils worked properly.
He is a man of action.
He was later moved to the health ministry, where he once more shook things up.
He speaks the language of ordinary people. He’s an odd mixture and hard to read.
He cultivates a rough image but he’s truly concerned about people’s suffering – perhaps tha

  84. Cont. from #127
He cultivates a rough image but he’s truly concerned about people’s suffering – perhaps that’s what makes him charismatic. He can whip and bully a drunken and demoralised Zambia into action.
He has promised to cut taxes and improve services by building more schools and health clinics. He has promised more jobs and more money in your pockets
He is a Catholic, and married to a doctor.
    This is your man.

  88. I’m glad to learn that RB is a career diplomat. He understands politics, economics and good governace. this put together makes a good President. It is not just about making noise at the centre stage. it is about using brains wisely both internationally and locally.Go for it old man….the older a diplomat the wiser he becomes

  89. Rupia is an Economics graduate from the University of Lund in Sweden. He finished Form 6 at Munali He graduated from Lund at the same time as Alex Chikwanda. They were young boys given scholarships by the Swedish Government during the Independence movement in Zambia.

  90. Many pipo say that Sata did a lot at the Ministry of Health. He did nothing there. All the initiatives were initiated by his Deputy Minister Katele Kalumba. In the end the Donors pressurised Chiluba to have him removed because they thought he he was a danger to people’s lives. Donors had never met such a disruptive person and they threatened to withhold money for the health sector. Chiluba had no choice but to remove him. Please ask Chiluba and Katele.

This is partly the reason why chiluba could not make him a successor.

  91. Michael Sata, known to every man, woman and child in Zambia as
“King Cobra”, has had a long and distinguished political career. Starting as an ordinary member of UNIP in the late 1970s, he made his way up the One Party State ladder via Ward Chairman, Member of Parliament and District Governor for Lusaka, to Minister of State responsible for local government. In 1990 he fell out with Kenneth Kaunda and was one of the first MPs to openly sympathise with the MMD when it was founded. In 1991 he was elected MMD Chairman for Local Government and, following the party’s electoral landslide, became the first MMD Cabinet Minister of the same portfolio. He masterminded the legislation that returned

  95. We know Sata is Roman Catholic, and now HH claims to be a Christian. What church? Since when? What is his level of commitment? What about the Free Masons and Ancestral Spirit worship? RB: Is he a Christian? Where? is he regular? What about Islam, Budhism etc. We want to know. Someone give us the data, so we can vote wisely.

  98. RB very educated but wants people to “EAT MEALIE MEAL AND SUGAR” -how about meat, vegetables, clean water, medicines, good hospitals with real Doctors and Nurses, Education , shoes, etc ,etc -Msc and MBA are useless if not put to good use.

  99. People of Zambia, What can we benefit from Mr Banda who has already shown his weakness by the leaders he is working with, who are just job hunters. They are just property grabers as witnessed by their proposed salary and allowances hike.We need a true leader like Mr Michael Chilufya Sata. How can we have a president with two political parties in the name of UNIP and MMD? It’s a shame that the old man can be buying support as early as it is. Why paying a lot of money for a vote if one is popular?

  100. Wonderful items from you, man. I’ve consider your stuff previous to and you are just extremely excellent. I really like what you’ve received here, certainly like what you are stating and the way in which through which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still take care of to stay it sensible.
