  1. Do it RB, don’t just open your mouth because you want the vote from the people. We have heard these songs for a long time now. Will keep an eye on you.

  2. Mr R.B the oil field you are talking will not be there, you worked in the UNIP GOVT you were one of the people who came up with NDP is short what does 2nd NDP say about oil in nortwestern province. the study was done by AGIP it was clean that exploration of that oil will very costly because it was showing trace in their experiments. Gentlemen there is new about in that province KK had the report. correct me if I wrong you go and read what the 2nd national development plan say.

  3. we need a president who will take care of all the monies from any investment and use it judiciously for the benefit of all zambians and not one that can be taken advantage of by any so called investor and above all one who will steal our monies from the noble investments with his thieving cronies. looking at the way RB has been doings things in the past few days even economic exploitation is expected in the name of investment just to win some votes. we need sustainable investment not just for the sake of winning elections. one cannot just trust this man. RB and his group cannot take us anywhere.

  4. RB will surely go to plot 1 after the October 30th polls. This guy knows how to convince people to follow him. Personally I would have loved to see HH lead the nation but now its christle clear that the contest is only between Sata and RB…. And RB will win.

  5. RB & MMD can say whatever they are saying but people have made up their minds for real change.HH you’ve made us the youths & wellmeaning citizens proud of you.We are campaigning vigorously 4 real change.30th Oct VOTE HH !!!

  6. I dont think RB is telling the truth. a Minister is in Lusaka finalising paper work. UBUFUFI FITI. GUY RB will be worse than Chiluba. This will be the worst. Blame on Mwanawasa for looking back instead of new guys who have shown six sense. by the way if you cant develop your own country no investor will come from London to do it for you. Otherwise ninshi beshile mukwiba.

  7. Mwanawasa made a very big mistek by chosing this RB now we shall see how these chap shall ruin the nation.like a burning wood into ashes

  8. It is true that we have oil in Zambia. We will explore it under RB. Whether campaign or not. The opposition has no strategy for uplifting the standards of life in Zambia. RB is winning.

  9. Ba # 11.Sata is by far the threat to RB & MMD this time around.PF is only along the line of rail.HH has tapped into rural areas. In Lsk & CB Sata is shairing with HH.In rural areas RB is battling wit HH.HH has SP,WP,part of NW prov & has Central Prov including 25-30% in Eastern Prov.Do your own research on the data i’ve given u.

  10. How do u say it?
‘Pabwato’, I’ve just been told that am right, therefore, let me now say it loud & proud,
    PA BWATO!

  11. Iwe chi TETA when levy left RB TO act he didn’t know that he will never come back, had he know he would have left someone else .LEVY also knew that he can easily remote control RB from Egypt finshi wengatuba iwe chi tetamashilu.

  12. I agree wit # 20.Sata is not a bother to MMD.Its the youngman HH who is giving the sleepless nights. His monies have really helped him pentrate rural areas.Evry day is in Cairo Rd,what time does he go to rural areas to campaign.HH’s hard work wil pay off soon.

  13. #7 true to ur word.even th most recent exploration for oil showed traces, meaning it cnt attract any big oil cmpany coz such oil projects ar very expensive wth little results.RB aka Nyama soya-must learn to tel th truth nd nt js lie to get votes, such a shame.

  14. I mwe ba RB chachine nimwe ba UNIP ababula amano. how can you kick off your campaign like that.with or without you that field will be open. Just say that you will bring back bukabwalala.

  15. Imwe ma PF cadres, grace yourselves 4 a defeat on 30th Oct by HH or RB but most likely by UPND & HH.My advice is tht cast your net wide in 2011 if u’ll be a political party. After 30th oct Sata is going medical retirement.

  16. Couldn’t agree more #14 NEWZEALAND brave supporter, RB will fail the nation dismally should he be elected to the highest office but most unfortunate is the fact that the upcoming poll is most certainly guaranteed win for RB because he’s the only candidate who has based his campaign on national issues. while ba Sata and ba HH are buzzy debating tribalism, RB is buzzy promising people what they want.

  17. Remove tribe frm Sata,RB & HH.Who is the best candidate frm those 3?Dont vote for BA YAMA,coz you wont eat BA YAMA.As citizens, lets vote for the best Zambian across Party & tribal lines.

  18. R.B is in a state of identity confusion. He wants to build on L.P.M’s legacy by using F.T.J’s strategic manipulations when everyone can surely see that this modern day vigilantee is very much still wallowing in the almost extinct U.N.I.P ideologies. We refuse as Zambians to be casted that far back as we need fresh minds for a fresh start.

  19. Ok bwana Sugar dad, lets hope you are not just running your mouth to see yourself at plot 1 bcoz we are watching and we equally want plot1.

  20. ba lusaka times …..why too many typing errors……pull up your socks!!!!
    electricity traffics
    to tile Mutanda Chavuma
    Zanmbia in general
    farming imputes

  21. #33 I totally agree with you.And that is why we still have people who are over 70 years running for office.Yes 70 years which is twice the countrys life expectance.

  22. # 29 # 31 LETS NOT BEAT ABOUT THE BUSH…HH IS THE BEST CANDIDATE whatever happens on 30 October. FACTS are FACTS and the TRUTH HURTS. so its HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…..off course Zambians is this loopsided democracy shall decide. Most Zambians are not well informed especially in Rural Zambia WHERE they are misguided by CHIEFS…AND yet Suffering IS AT ITS WORST IN RURAL ZAMBIA..Even the OIL this RB is talking about will not benefit the people of chaavuma or any suffering zambians especially civil servants etc. It will go in the pockets of thieves…and we know them…SHAME…

  23. Pledge of opening up oil fields in Chavuma district, lies. How possible, gas, uranium, now it is OIL?Rubbish, RB please you are a grown up man at 72.

  24. PF supporters may i simply say Bembas are building castles in the air. This is the end of Sata & PF.Lsk & Cb is not Zambia.26 rebel MP’s are campaigning for RB & HH.

  25. Viva HH HH HH.You have camped in those Provinces where its people dispised you and eat with them and subsequently won their hearts.Keep it up mwaiche wandi.30th Oct is yours to win.

  26. Imwe bantu, who are Sata’s advisors?I think they are 2 blame for Sata’s 3rd loss on 30th Oct.How can he not campaign in other Provinces since 2006 and expect to win?Shame.

  27. #45 well said, Sata knows he has no chance this time around and he is doing what he is doing just out of spite. His campaign programme is moving from Lusaka nortwards in the same places where he already has support, while HH started in places where he is not a stronghold, there is a possibility he might not even go to Southern Province, so one can see through Sata, how unfortunate.

  28. Honestly i was for sata but after seeing how childish his been.. i dunno who to go for now!…rb u dissgust me to the fullest..just seeing yo face on the papers makes me throw up!!!HH i like yo bizzness mentally..BUT!!!!!lol ya there is allways a BUT!..so i have 3 weeks to make up my mind coz my vote does count and ba LT IM IN ZED NOT DIASPORA!!!

  29. The media houses should organise a debate for the 4 presidential candidates so that they can challenge each oda and battle it out face to face. Each shuld state clearly how they will tackle the problems of unemploymnent, education, health, communication, etc. That way the zambian pipo will judge objectively who is for real and not this empty mouth diarhoea of unreasonable promises we are getting from RB.

Why did you lie in the first place? Why did RB lie? Now they are telling another lie? The money was to endorse Banda. Why not also give PF and UPND if those are your reasons? Why has Cosmos now endorsed you if he need the money for his own campaign?

  31. AFTER WATCHING THE AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE .. I NOW SEE THAT UBUTEKO PA ZED LWANGALO!!!…ONE WOULD WISH FOR BARACK TO RULE ZAMBIA!

  32. So far only one candidate has been able to put forward a claim of achievements which most of the lectorate can relate to without research. New pronouncements from the VP regarding oil are not convincing since no company has yet started work to drill for oil. At the moment it is just talk to fill in the gap and waste time. It is unknown how many people will buy the VP’s capaign message.

  33. Ba Rb naimwe muleibwelamo.People are not that gullible anymore .so be careful with those empty promises. You think you are the first person to make those empty promises.Mwaamba amano yabena chama chakomboka

  34. This oil story has become MMDs carrot to the electorate. They wheel it out everytime thre is an election. Truth is THERE IS NO OIL!

  35. I really dont know where this man will take us. I sometimes feel that Zambia is cursed. How come is it that when we are making progress that is beneficial to everyone, something goes wrong. How can RB of all people lead us. There is need to look at ourselves, otherwise the End Will Come with this Hour that is about to Come.

  36. RB i’m asking for K15,000,000 please.I need to buy food and clothes and i will vote for you. When you reply me, i will give you my proper address.

  37. Viva HHHHHHHHHHH. No one is able to stop the young man. Good on you. You have made the youths feel proud and part and parcel of Zed for the first time in history. How many times have we heard these old and finished madaalas saying that the future of Zed belongs to the youths. When is this future going to start if we continue voting for these recycled politicians? Some of the youths are becoming madaalas themselves. Abash Satana and RB, we don’t expect anything new from you two. Viva HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  38. who are these investors he is singing about indians? stop boza!! ubufi kubantu!!!we know u mother father!! ni pabwatooooooooooooooo che!!!

  39. @71 jigga the russian

Please dont use rude language here. Don’t give a wrong impression of us Zambians. Such language is not welcome here.

  40. Am waiting to see PF cadres & supporters weep on 1st November when HH is prounced winner. This youngman is headed 4 victory.Phone your friends & relatives in NW,Central,Western & Southern including Eastern Province you hear wat people are saying about HH.

  41. viva sata, lets go sata, lets go.North Westeners ,Sata wont close the mines .Mines are the pillars of our economy.Dont be cheated ba monk.

  42. Yes, this RugBy shouldn’t be given a chance coz he’ll now spoil even a little good thing our late President Mwanawasa did for Mother Zambia.

  43. To vote for MMD is surely tantamount to repititively subjecting ourselves to perpetual servitude and this is an acceptance of nonsensical revolution in Zambian politics. TO be frank RB and his myopic followers intend to completely destroy our country. Please we have had enough of such unreasonable promises. Nipa bwato chabe. You cannot be LEVY.To say you can bring oil in Zambia is total rubbish. Do not take us for granted.

  44. #79 Its because he has already accepted defeat and is indirectly campaigning for the. young man. I think he has chosen to be ruled by HH other than the other two characters. Viva HH

  45. stop lying RB. Go to the village and plant your maize. otherwise you will die of hunger when i chuck u out pa sate. uzasoba vo’fikilapo ku munzi

  46. COME ON RB STOP CHEATING INOCENT PEOPLE ARE U NOT AWARE THAT MIYANDA, THE PIPO’S CHOICE HAS FINALLY COME? LOOK BEHIND THE GENERAL IS HEADING PLOT 1 WITH DETERMINATION WISE ZAMBIANS VOTE FOR MIYANDA FOR A CHANGE WE NEED PIPO OF FAITH, INTEGRITY AND COURAGE LIKE THE GENERAL VIVA MIYANDA it was really dificult to choose bt2n RB, SATA or HH now that the man himself has come we’ll vote for you MIYANDA.

  47. #88 Just be fare, even your Satana does not represent Zambia as a whole anyway. HH is better off because he at least goes to all the nine provinces, unlike this fellow who just concentrates in only 4 provinces.

  48. #91 i didnt mention any suport 4 any cndidate..why say my wateva.im an independent observer,ur even geting upset kwati upnd is ur father..haha..

  49. RB, Is it you who will you take mines and development to the province or you want foreign investors to do it? Selling another portion of Zambia. Allowing more Zambian resources to be exploited by foreigners instead of ourselves. Shame that you think thats a good thing. Shame that the people should cheer. Shame that that is the only campaign strategy you have. Shame that your decisions continue to make people suffer at the hands of foreigners for many more years to come.

  50. When is the government going to make an initiative to open up Zambian mines themselves. Lyonse we have to run to foreign investors who exploit us and leave the country? Its sad that we continue to invite people who come and make money, abuse our people and then leave. Then our politicians remain smiling and say they brought development. What rubbish!

  51. For those that think Lusaka and the CB are not Zambia. You watch it. In most countries capital cities and the industrial towns start the confusion. Nairobi ,Kenya a point in question. 1986 Zambia food riots ( Lusaka and CB) changed the destiny of Zambia. Orange revolution in U krain . The Presidential protests in antananarivo , Malagasy. So you watch it. Northwestern has half the population of Lusaka with its enormous size. So my friends Lusaka and CB are Zambia for your own information.

  52. Point of correction RB. Mutanda Chavuma road project started before the late Lavy became President. It was not an initiative LPM. Pls confirm with FTJ. This shows how little knowledge you possess about Zambia.Zambia needs a more knowledgeable President. Zwaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

  53. You can see that RB has no game plan from his speech. kusabaila! You have a government at your disposal and all you can say is that you will allow other people/organisations to come do make money in our country. This level of thinking is truly ancient. This is 2008 and we should still listen to this nonsense. how frustrating!

Bwezani, you go back to school. the economics you learnt seems to be outdated. enrol manje manje. perhaps by end of next month, when you will be busy rigging elections, you would have learnt a thing or two about current economics!

  54. The tongas now want a pact with the MMD and hh becomes vice President.Someone proposed power sharing using the zimbabwe model. My question why are these guyz so desperate to have a tonga President? They call others especially bembas thieves and plunderes have they forgotten who Atan shansonga is? vincent Malambo?

  55. RB am very dissapointed with u.we zambians hate corruption.that money u are giving around can be put to good use and zambians can benefit from that money, but only you and fellow crooks are benefiting.what you should know is that time will come for the law to visit you.

  56. PIPO THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME TO HEAR A POLICIAN PROMISE THAT THEY WILL NEVER DO. GOD ALMIGHTY WIL GIVE US A LEADER. RB IS CORUPT, HH IS TRIBAL I WILL TRY SATA FOR THREE YEAR IF HE CANT PERFORM 2011 PUSH HIM OUT LETS TRY HIM PIPO, EVEN SATA CAN START OIL ISSUES WEN HE COMES. AMAKA. 58. RUPIAH Banda is a desperate old man resorting to desperate measures which he does not even understand, responded Post editor Fred M’membe to the Vice-President’s injunction to restrain him and The Post from publishing defamatory editorial comments against him.

M’membe said the injunction which Vice-President Banda had obtained was the simplest for The Post to obey because it restrained the newspaper from publishing any libellous words against the Vice-President.

M’membe said The Post has never published anything libellous to Vice-President Banda.
“And this being the case, the injunction amounts to nothing because it allows us to continue to publish everything that is true, althoug

  59. although unpleasant to Mr Banda. We will only be found to have disobeyed this injunction order if we publish anything that is libellous to Mr Banda and this is a matter that has to be proved by facts or evidence in trial. It is not a matter that can be determined without trial,” M’membe said. “For us everything continues on the same basis and we will publish everything that is truthful and that falls within the ambit of fair comment on Mr Banda. And in this way we will obey the injunction order.”

M’membe said if Vice-President Banda thinks that he will escape public scrutiny through The Post by this action, he was cheating himself because that is not the way things stand in issues of l

  60. libel.

He said there was no way the injunction could stop The Post from writing editorial comments on Vice-President Banda and his campaign.

“There is no way this action will stop us from writing editorial comments on him and his campaign – not in this country. He should go to some other fascist country with draconian laws, not here in Zambia. He should go to Zimbabwe where he was born where, maybe, such actions can be entertained. If he thinks the law in Zambia will protect him from honest criticism, he is cheating himself and whoever is giving him this advice is also cheating him,” he said.

M’membe said Vice-President Banda could only survive such criticism through conducting

  61. a clean campaign.

“The only way he can survive such criticism is to conduct a clean and honest campaign and stop dishing out sugar and mealie meal like a ‘sugar daddy’ to the electorate. We have never seen this type of foolishness and misguided libel action,” M’membe said. “This is really desperation of the highest order. Mr Banda is cheating himself.”

Vice-President Banda is seeking to obtain an injunction restraining The Post from publishing or allowing publication of libellous words against him.
According to ex-parte summons for interlocutory injunction taken out by Christopher Mundia on behalf of Vice-President Banda, he wants The Post restrained from publishing the running edi

“The defendant should further be restrained from publishing or further publishing or permitting or causing to be published the same and/or similar articles against the plaintiff until after the trial of this action or until further order,” read the summons.

Vice-President Banda stated in his affidavit that The Post has been publishing a series of libellous statements against him, the basis of which is unfounded as he had never been at any time a cr

  64. a criminal, a crook, dishonest or a Judas Iscariot among other descriptions.

He stated that the running libellous statements against him were actuated by malice and intended to destroy his well-earned public service record and disadvantage him in the elections for totally unexplained reasons.
Vice-President Banda stated that the allegations contained in the running editorials were extremely damaging to his reputation and were likely to cause him irreparable harm if the publications continued unabated particularly during the campaigns ahead of the elections.

“That the running defamatory publication against me by the defendant run counter to the ethics and tenets of freedom of speech a

  65. as there are totally extravagant, malicious and total disregard for my own rights,” he stated.
Vice-President Banda stated that he believed in the concept of a free press but also believed that his rights were to be protected by the court to balance the situation.

  66. And Mundia stated in a certificate of urgency that: ” I Christopher Lubasi Mundia, SC do hereby certify that the determination of this matter is of extreme urgency as the defendant has been and continue to maliciously publish, circulate and distribute the libellous opinions and stories in its paper within and outside Zambia to the detriment of the plaintiff as a distinguished and successful public servant in general and in particular as a front runner presidential candidate in the forthcoming presidential elections set for 30th October 2008.”
The matter is supposed to be heard inter partes on October 3, 2008.

  67. #105 Don’t go beyond I haven’t called anyone tribal in all my writing, why are you trying to force your words into me? I am at liberty to support HH if I so wish. That is non of your business. Likewise go ahead and support your preferred candidate, no one will stop you neither will I.

  68. HEY HAVENT READ TODAYS POST WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT THE INCOMING PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA BR G. MIYANDA? I JUST LIKE THAT MAN BANDA IS ALREADY OUT OF THE RACE

  69. There goes RB with his rubbish. Zedians are no longer stupid and can not buy that cheap politics. The man is desparate and trying to get votes at any cost…. blocking the post from writting editorial comments

  70. It is very sad how RB is waving all kinds of developmental programs to the voters. It all seems too much for any one man to do. Even if he had the best cabinet to back him and investors from India.
Improve on the mining deals you have already made MMD, so you can use the money to develop infrastructure such as roads, schools and hospitals. Improve the working conditions of the Zambian workforce as they are the back bone of the Zambian economy. No one should be earning under 1.5 million kwacha.
What are your plans for Agriculture?…are you and you advisers going to continue to pretend that that is not a future industry that will certainly bring in millions to Zambia.

  71. RB should not be cheating us. WE are no longer cheap Zambians. He should apply his sugar daddy methodology to his young wife who is cheap because of marrying to an old man.

  72. 116, OPPOSITION Heritage Party presidential candidate Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda has admitted that he sweated for this nomination.

And Chief Justice Ernest Sakala on Friday declared that Brig Gen Miyanda, UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata and acting Republican President Rupiah Banda had validly filed in their nomination papers as presidential candidates for the October 30 presidential election.

Brig Gen Miyanda struggled for about four hours to mobilise the 200 supporters, who are registered voters, required to back a presidential candidate before he or she files in the nomination papers.

  73. Brig Gen Miyanda, a former Republican vice-president, was supposed to file in his nomination papers at 14:00 hours on Friday but only managed to do so about 17:55 hours the same day.

The first group of supporters arrived before 14:00 hours but very few had voters’ cards and National Registration Cards (NRCs) hence they could not endorse his candidature before the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) at the Supreme Court.
Brig Gen Miyanda and senior party officials panicked to mobilise supporters but whenever a bus bringing supporters arrived, there were few or none with both the voter’s card and NRC.
The Heritage Party leader was constantly on phone negotiating with his officials to

  74. The Heritage Party leader was constantly on phone negotiating with his officials to quickly mobilise the supporters but very little was happening and time was ticking away.

However, Brig Gen Miyanda, who was waiting from the High Court, looked faithful and very confident that he would manage to mobilise the 200 supporters to enable him file in his nomination papers.
He jokingly asked Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika to mobilise supporters for him.

“Help me find people to help me file my nomination. Last time I helped your sister Inonge Mbikusita-Lewanika and Chama Chakomboka to find supporters so that they file their nominations. Now, it’s my turn, help me,” Big Gen Miyanda said as

  75. Zedians, Kafupi did so much for our mother land and we were told to sacrifice – tighten our belts and then LPM got onto the seen when things started to bare fruits. LPM in my opnion did nothing other than facilitating what Kafupi started and thats the more reason why he took him to court to silence the man. I personally don’t support Kafupi. The man told us to value land hence everyone can afford to be a landlord today. I rest my case….

  76. #115…dnt deny wat u stand 4,u hav no words to even defnd urself…we dnt wnt th Zimbabwe,Kenya or Rwandan fights tht came abt coz pipo bring tribalism into politics..and epualy kip ur tribalistic cmpaign opinion to urself..we want to cntnue wth the 1 Zambia 1 Nation..

  78. I should have drunk my sunday morning cup of coffee enjoyably instead of coming to read such useless postings. Not even Lifestyle features an interesting story. LT, do something before we leave your blog.

  79. Miyanda is a hopeless dictator. RB or HH. Not the two rats that used to dance Chiluba. Godfrey Presidential slash fund Miyanda and Michaeal Third term Traitor Sata. These two are hopeless dictators.

  80. No 20 and 24, stop dreaming. HH and UPND can never take Western Province. WP will vote solidly MMD due to the combination of MMD support amongst the traditional establishments and the support from ULP. In June 2008 the last contest in Western Province in Mulalitima Ward in Kaoma MMD won followed by ULP then PF, Unip with UPND bringing up the rear. This is inspite of UPND sending all its big guns to campaign there. Most people in Western still also remember the treatment given to their favorite son at Mulungushi by HH and UPND.

  81. HH will only enhance tribalism and enrichment for the few at the expense of the majority. We need to have a calm hand to steer Zambia. No arrogance, rudeness, tribalism and collaboration with investors who want to treat Zambians badly and take away even their legal dues like ten percent service charges for profit.

  91. can i talk to the HH fanatics, please do not divide zambia.time for such premitive politics is long gone.I must asume that you #20 is tonga by tribe(regional politics).Zambia is for all of us and not HH and his southern province.Rev Jesse once campaigned among blacks and failed,Obama came talking to both white and blacks. He(Obama) is straight heading to the white house.

  92. Campaigning is under way. The liars are spreading their bitter seed of deceit. Those sh!t projects have never been done before. We’ve heard these stories over and over again. Don’t insult the intelligence of innocent Zambians in the village. The only thing seperating them from you is your fancy life of fast bullet-proof cars and flashy cameras. They’re more intelligent than you cuz how come they have survived up to this time without help from your thieving government?
“Mr. Liana said the late president promised to tile Mutanda Chavuma.”
what the he11 is Mutanda Chavuma? some corridor? they’re going to tile it? or is it a road they’ll tar using tar?
Some of these promises sound suspicious

  96. gentlemen if you critically analyse the voting pattern in the 2006 presidential elections i cannot give HH a chance this time around. even the 25% he received wll be diminished to less than 20%. if when #30 says he has garnered support in the rural areas unfortnately the only rural are of any material substance is the southern province and it will remain so for obvious reasons. i still strongly believe HH has a lot of work to do and he should be focussed at coming in a big way in 2011. the sad part about these elections is that we are going to vote for people who for a lack of a better word are ‘sangwapo’ and i can imagine how betrayed the original MMD feel at this realisation that RB is th

  97. I work in oil and gas, there is a chance N-West has oil and gas fields if it is lower than Angola!! Otherwise how does oil collect in a highland. There also has to have been a forest of sorts for the accumulation of fossils and then earth movement to trap it at pressure.

NO none of the majors I know are exploring in Zambia.

Now having said all the above, any well informed operator will not be annoucing to the world it exists unless they want partners for the exploration costs.
GRZ has been revising the Petroleum act, now that to me suggests they are onto something but if it is true. Not to worry oil is such as public afffair corrupt MMD will not be able to manipulate these guys

  98. WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE WHAT IS WRONG WHENEVER THEY ARE ASKED TO CHOOSE? IS IT FASHIONABLE TO CHOOSE EVIL GIVEN GOOD? WHY CHOOSE SATA OF ALL THE PEOPLE. COME ON U GUYS LETS BE REAL, IF WE CAN NOT VOT FOR HH BECAUSE OF TRIBAL FEARS, LET US VOTE FOR MIYANDA. WHAT GOOD CAN THE CROOKED SATA BRING TO ZAMBIA THAT PLUNDERER WITH FTJ

  99. Ngoyu genteremani, HH, ngoyu genteremani, HH, ngoyu genterenami wacinicini.
HH waboola (HHa has come). Vote for HH for a real ray of change and hope that Zambians can trust and believe in.
    One Zambia, one Nation.

  100. No 162 can we trust someone who tries to shortchange the Sun Hotel Workers of their ten percent service charge? Are you placing your hope on a person who sits on the shoprite board which has the worst funeral benefit policy for its workers? He also sits on sdhoprite board that tries to stifle the workers union and representatives. Is the change you want that of a person whoose personal companies have a minimum wage of K130,000 per month? Beware of HH he will change your lives for the worse.

  101. #163, 3 years of HH’s President is enough for you to know him better. We know RBB and how he is manipulating everyone in a subtle way. We know Honourable Sata as a LIAR and a DICTATOR – who has never had a democratic CONVENTION to elect PF (Poor Finishers) leaders – and this is why His Excellency former Zambian President FTJ Chiluba did not let Sata to be President of Zambia in 2001. We simply can never put a JOKER when we now his background very well and a COPY of Zimbabwean ZANU-PF who supports Robert Mugabe. Brig. General Miyanda is also NEVER serious. Remember how Miyanda ran the MOE (Education) when he was at education. Why did Chiluba remove B.G.Miyanda from Vice Presidency? THINK!

#163. 3 years of HH will help Zambians elect a leader nicely in 2011.By then, we will be able to know whether HH is a Nationalist or reginalist as his pundits allege. We can also EXPERIMENT with Hon.Sata because even if he tries to be a dictator he will obviously last only for so long – not equal or more the 27 years of Kaunda in POWER even if he (Sata – PF) can try to break the record 28 years rule of Zimbabwean (ZANU-PF) Mugabe whom Sata admires. We can try RBB if we want the corruption we have seen in the past 1 week under him (Rupiah) as Zambian leader in the absence of a Zambian President. The Village Concept can also be tested if hiding in quietness will appealing while DOING-STUFF.

  103. #163, we need a serious President of Zambia in 2011! Placing RBB as our leader now is retrogressive to the little gains we have achieved with late LPM at the helm of Zambian Leadership. As of Hon.Sata, the DICTATORSHIP will last long, so we are better trying to reduced those years of possible turmoil under Sata as Zambian President. It can be bearable when he DICTATES in his very old age. In fact, if Sata will not have a stroke by 2011, then we can gumble on putting up with his (Sata) possible MEDICAL BILLS. B.G. Miyanda is surely history, and I will not waste too much time on him right now.
There4, I urge all Zambians to put TRIBE aside as you will be VOTING this OCTOBER as HH advised.

  105. He can not start saying he’ll open up Oil fields as if they have already done feasibilty studies to acertain whether there’s enough oil to warrant production. What the have to do is explore or search for oil. This is just campaigning! When the Americans say they want to drill ofshore, it’s because they already have the estimate of oil reserves. How do you open up oil fields when you don’t know what is beneath the ground? Creation of employment of well trained geologists is what is needed to do exploration or find oil. If a govt can not train its Citizen, how do expect a Country to develop?

  106. Read today’s post and you will see that there was a standstill of activities when HH entered the Likumbi lya Mize arena in n/western province while RB’s entrance was recognised with nothing. n/western is for HH

  107. All you lot that are fighting on about tongas and bembas you are just ignorant, you vote among tribal lines which is so narrow minded and disgusting it makes my stomach sick. Are your voting becuase you think your tribe will benefit or just because he’s from your tribe? Why not go back to where ever you are from be it tonga or bemba and form your own little country of people of the same tribe because alot of us here are zambians first then may be tribal second. You remind of nigerians with thier north and south divide. We are better than that.

  108. #158 the post has the right to publish the story how can you give people free stuff during elections, you know they are poor and you give them free food of course they’ll vote for you, thats just being corrupt. It’s politically bribing the electorate, zambian politicians are good at that and we allow it we need an act in zambia where political parties cannot give out free stuff. Anyway It is zambian politricks after all.

  109. What value is there in being of any tribe in Zambia. It is poverty and ignorance in every tribe? Who tells you that Zambia has only two tribes, Tonga and Bemba? Both of you tribes are a very small section of our country. Enough of your talks about tribes. There so many of us who are neither Tonga nor Bemba. Therefore let us discuss issues and not tribes. Can Zambia be developed when people who should discuss development are busy discussing tribes.Shame on you!

  110. #172. Your man HH went to see Miyanda ,what do you make of that? He never followed up the meeting. Sata sent pipo to see Miyanda and never followed up as promised. This explains the generals late entry as he wa dealing with some dishonest pipo trying to unite with his party.
    Read todays Post!!
The General is the best out of this buch!!

  113. Are we trying to Tar the Mutanda Chavuma Road because of oil? We had persived most North Westerners as Angolans. Like it or Hate it Most of us North Westerner have blood relatives in Moxico, Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul, Huila and Malanje and other areas of Angola.

  114. #1 don’t tell u can be easly convinced, do u really think RB can do that, mind u this is election period expect them to tell such lies. Do not be cheated.

  115. Levy promised he would open another University: he opened Mulungush University even though we simply turned former PCC ino a Varsity. Pliz make achievable promises not those which even a child will ttell are fake.

  116. Its really funny how these oil fields have laid dormant for all these years and have not been exploited to benefit our great nation. Why should it only be an issue when there are elections round the corner. LAst I heard we had diamonds somewhere in the same provice. So why has nothing happened yet. Its all political talk to win votes. They have been in power for long enough so let them back themselves up with work they have done in the past year too. But i guess there wont be much for them to tal about will there?

  117. Oil or no oil, political talk or not, MMD will pull through. This is becuse the opposition is not unifed. Votes will be evenly cast for PF and UPND, the majority will be for MMD. This is how they won last time, and this is how they will win again. If there is oil, we will see, if there isn’t 2011 is just a few months away.
