I have only three years to fulfill my legacy – RB

Share

Acting President Rupiah Banda says he has only three years to make a legacy and was very eager to do so if elected into office.

Mr Banda was speaking to pupils on arrival Sunday at Kasempa Boys School football ground on his tour of Nortwestern Province.

He pledged to work hard with his colleagues in order for his legacy to be understood and continue with the programme that were started by the late Republican President Levy Mwanawasa.

” I promise to work hard and once voted into power, as an old man, I have a very short time in which to leave a legacy for myself, ” he said.

He also said the nation would require a highly educated society to manage and develop the nation.

Mr Banda as a youth , he took his studies seriously and therefore urged the pupils to be serious with education no matter the situation.

He said having come from a poor family, his father worked hard to ensure that all his children were educated adding that education was was the key to economic development.

” Those of you at an institution like Kasempa Boys boarding School have a responsibility to take the nation forward,” he said.

The Acting President was received by Kasempa District commissioner,Mr Henry Shantolo and other senior government officials.

And addressing a public rally at Freedom square, Mr Banda warned people to be careful of some candidates that would come to beg for a vote.

Mr Banda who did not name the said candidates from other political parties contesting the the October 30 Presidential by- elections but called them ‘ snakes’ urged the crowd to be careful of their poisonous bites.

” I know many others will come here to convince you people to vote for them but you should ask them where they have been all along in the civil service, ” he said.

Mr Banda further pledged to continue with the peace that exist in Zambia and that he would continue to unitr all Zambians irrespective of their tribe inclinations.

He further said once elected as president he would ensure all politics in the country are based on truth as the youth in Zambia were tired of being to by most politicians.

And MMD campaign manager Mike Mulongoti pleaded with the electorate in Kasempa to supprt Mr Banda to continue where the late President Mwanawasa had left in the province.

Mr Mulongoti said that among the four contesting candidates, only Mr Banda has sound educational credentials and hence the need for the people of Kasempa to vote for him as a man of integrity.

  8. Legacy………..but we think your Sugar and mealie meal giving tactics in Katete’s Kavulamukoko village have put around your neck a “corrupt tag”.

  9. The only sad thing about this whole situ. is that whether we like it or not, RB will carry the day! The only way we could have managed to boot these theives out as I keep saying is……if Sata and HH came together and formed that Pact. But because of their hunger for State House, they are both over looking the needs of the people just so they can satisfy their personal desires! Ma lubbish! Dont they see that RB has access to resourses more than they do! Am even beginin to wonder whether I should go and stand in a queue for over 5hrs and vote for either HH or Sata and only to have RB win after all the trouble!! mtchhhhh!!!!

  10. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!(NOT HHHHHHHH PLEASE)!A LEGACY ONLY FOR YOURSELF? WE NEED A LEADER WHO WILL LEAVE A LEGACY FOR ZAMBIAN’S TO FOLLOW!

HAHAHAHA. He is now scared of Hakainde Hichilema. I have a feeling HH’s support has grown for RB to be poison the well like this.

“Mr Mulongoti said that among the four contesting candidates, only Mr Banda has sound educational credentials”

Is he crazy?? Has he seen HH’s CV.

    HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  12. two tactics of rigging elections:
    1. collecting the data base for all people who have died, who voted in 2006, by ECZ
2.removing teachers and allow form fives to monitor elections.

  13. old man indeed,,which legacy,,,as mulongoti puts it sound education, can some explain to me when mulongoti says hes got sound education among the 4 leadres

  14. Hey, this chi mudala. Let him attach a definition to the so called legacy. Initially it was continuity with Levy’s legacy now we are hearing about Bwezani’s. This Bwezani is a threat to our daughters, Just check today’s Post the way he was smiling after seeing half naked girls at the ceremony.

  15. FOR POSITIVE CHANGE AS YOUNG ZAMBIA,LETS SUPPORT OUR FELLOW YOUNG MAN HH.HH MEANS WELL FOR US ALL.

  16. Let us pray

  18. I think the Legacy he is talking about is the one he has already started. “Mess them up while they are still young” he seems to like young ones! does he wnat to bribe them or mary them?

  19. RB couldn’t find a crowd big enough to address. So he went to a boarding school where they just have to be told to parade. WOOOOO! People are not interested in your rubbish. Besides those pupils cant even vote because they didnt vote in 2006. Its just to give us an impression that crowds gather for you, kanshi zero!

  20. Clear signs of desperation by RB. Tikuchosani ba MMD come Oct 30. Its time for ACTION now and so only ACTION MEN & WOMEN can.

    VIVA PF

    VIVA SATA

  21. PLS LETS SUPPORT OUR FELLOW YOUNG MAN…HH…DON’T BE JELOUS…HE IS A HARD WORKER..AND HE IS READY TO IMPROVE OUR ECONOMY FOR OUR BENEFITS….VOTE WISELY…VOTE HH.

  22. what legacy, does it mean levy was correct in whatever he did.let some base his campaign on what he going do for the country not what lvey did.

  23. What do you think RB has no plan at all thats why he keeps bubbling lagacy and continuing where Levy left off. I wonder if he even knows where Levy reached. I think his agenda is just eating ewith both hands

  24. Ba POST ba chilamo.

That is the problem when you only have one private Newspaper. Can they privatise “Times of Zambia” or “The Zambia Daily Mail”

Those tu ma new newspapers “weekly angel and monitor” are not strong enough.

Ba POST is just posting whatever it wants and is getting away with it. I hope MUVI TV is not doing the same. This is what happens when you have monopolies and oligopolies.

  25. what legacy, does it mean whatever levy did was done in good faith .let some base his campaign on what he going do for the country not what levy did

  26. You pipo, its batter this time we think before we vote. these pipo were there before and did not put their time into good use. What has changed that can make them develop Zambia now? Give way to the young man to try as well

  27. RB please convince us. what will happen to the Ministers’ salaries that are hovering around waiting for your to become president. Mwanawasa refused to apend them yet when he was sick in hospital you were almost approving them. Did you think Mwanawasa would have been happy with you had he returned? Do you think Mwanawasa would have loved to work with his ministers for pushing on things which he would have abject to. ba crook ba MMD. I would rather Sata and not you THUGS.
    VIVA PF.

  28. After failing to lie to the people who will vote, you go and lie to pupils who just got their NRCs. Sugar dady and Sweet liar! No way. Sata is sailing towards plot 1. Run fast as you can!

  29. The media better hold him to his word. Bakulu should set examples to the young ones by telling the truth and keeping their words. We do not want kusogolo ati, I am going for another term after the sweet three years is over. Another excuse would be cheap cadres claiming that the view of every Zambian is he should be given another chance. We ‘dough’ (don’t) want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. please know that where mize ceremony is held is a upnd infested area, even the mp is upnd. its basically the lusaka or copperbelt for pf now zambezi west for upnd. its still a hard ground to break. the late mazoka laid a hard ground. even the chief of the lubale cannot support rb, i doubt. but the other side is mmd, the minister of agric is the mp. the lunda chief could support mmd.banda has a challenge to self himself with mud surrounding his reputation and integrity.

  31. Had we thoroughly thought through in 1990/91 or 1996 we would ve introduced proportional democracy its expensive to be holding by elections, just look at SA with the withdraw of Mbeki they didnt have to hold by elections since its the party that is voted into power,in fact every vote here counts. Its just a throught may be NCC can discuss that.

  32. I would love Ba Sata to rule, but I DONT trust the old fellow. I would Love Ka HH to rule. His young vibrant, energetic and he brings in this sense of trust and economical empowerment to the Zambian citizens. The opposition is strong to enough to remove the current government, with Ba VJ and Uncle Fred back………! I think its going to be tough. But still the GOD we worship is going to deliver us from the unsound leaders.Besides HE is the author of destine. How I wish Ba Sata could just come together with the young man HH. And help us fight the MMD govt. out of office.

  33. Already, have left a legacy of being a shameles politician who went ahead with presidential nominations amid allegations of corruption. All the best old man.

  34. #47 Ba sugar echomuleupila tu ka budo. Why are you supporting your fellow sugar dady.Tamwakaitambe bwino when we (PF) comes in power.

  35. MICHAEL SATA – BRIEF HISTORY: He was born and brought up in Mpika, Northern Province. He worked as a police officer, railwayman and trades unionist before entering politics in 1963. He worked his way up through the rough-and-tumble rank-and-file of the former ruling United National Independence Party (UNIP) to the governorship of Lusaka in 1985. As Governor he made his mark as a man of action with a hands on approach. He cleaned up the streets, patched roadways and built bridges in the city. Afterward he became a Member of Parliament for Kabwata constituency in Lusaka. Though once close with then President Kenneth Kaunda, he became disillusioned by Kaunda’s dictatorial style and he left the

  36. Here is a grouping of politicians who want to be presidents of zambia and please select a group you may think is right to rule you:

    FIRST GROUP
RB, NEVERS MUMBA, COSMO MUMBA, SIULAPWA,NGONDO

    SECOND GROUP
    MIYANDA, BEN MWILA, CLIVE CHIRWA

    THIRD GROUP
    SATA, HIKAINDE

    Which group would you choose.

the grouping is done according to personal integrity and caliber to be a leader.

    vote wisely.

  37. The Old man is right that he is the only man standing. The other candidates are just fishing, trying their luck at a retiring a rich man, earning 80% of the incumbents salary till death, a mansion at state expense any where, even and free attendance at state functions.

I have observed that in zambia, those who aspire to lead this country never really get far in their quest. they try hard, form political formations, develop ideologies and write very good manifestos, yet they never get far with their mission.

Chiluba was offered to lead the historical garden house cabal,Levy was awakened from sleep, Rupiah was uprooted from weeding his farm.
    The opposition will not win!

  38. I have said it before that:
    1) RB is the man for national president; he has done well from the time he started acting as president till now.

2)SATA is the man for opposition leadership; he has done so well from 2006 till now.

    3) HH is their student. He still has to learn how to nationalise his party in the domain of public opion. He has to learn why the late Mazoka had two vice presidents; one from Western province and another from Northern province. When he came on the seen he heard people from Southern province saying “we need a tonga to lead UPND” and he sacumbed to the pressure disadvantaging the 2 vice presidents, making a party that was not meant to be tribal to become tribal.

  39. Those of campaigning on the blog, you waisting your time. The real work is done through contact with electorates like RB is doing. The real voters do not even have access to internet. I am talking about people in the rural areas and even in urban areas.
Although, I dont like the MMD, I see them retaining the state presidency come November. Why do I say so? This is because their support is scattered all across the country. The opposition have support in selected areas of the country based on tribe and regional politics. Only a united opposition will dislodge the MMD from power.

  40. This sugar distributing paedophile is speaking as if this whole thing is a done deal. Wina aza lila !!!! You will be shokodi !!!

  41. For those in zed, how big are the RB crowds compared to HH and Sata?
I pray the MMD get booted out of govt as they have lamentably failed to put Zambia where it was 30 years ago.
We want people who will give Zed a good bath and clean it so that the economy gets strong not only on Fundagas mouth but on the table of the commoner.

  42. Iwe Chi #61 chi OK
HH was not hand picked.he was elected by the UPND officials. En’ tell me how did the late Andy succumb to the pressure? Stop lying. If u dont like the young man shut up! Viva Opposition!!!!!!!!!!! MMD Ooooooooouuuuuuuutttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!

  43. Lupiya Banda is very coy, he is clever like a serpent but he wont woodwink us into believing his tactics..he is a desperate old man who is up to no good….

  44. Fellow boggers lets exercise our minds on the issue of the three year term of the Presidential term. As far as i know there is no provision for a three year term! Suppose President Levy has died three months before 2011 what would have happened? Would we have had presidential elections for whoever comes in to rule for less than three months in order to complete Levy`s term. What will stop whoever wins these elections to claim they have not served the mandatory fiev year as per constitution. This matter will create problems for us in future namely 2011!!

  45. RB liar. You think you can lie to us the same way you lied to Thandi that you were 35. Umwaiche ukwisa yumfwila fye mu Post ati the man is 70.

  46. ” I promise to work hard and once voted into power, as an old man, I have a very short time in which to leave a legacy for myself, ” he said. WHAT KIND OF CRAP is this? Ludicrous to say the least. just as well you were talking to pupils…….

  47. Bloggers, such hatred for MMD reminds me of pharaoh’s hard-heartedness towards the Israelites. But God’s Will always prevails. If u care to be spiritual u will c that history is repeating itself. Those chosen by God are CALLED TO SERVICE e.g. KK, FTJ, Levy and now RB. Others are born to struggle and can only go as far as second best election after election!!!

  48. #76, Inonge my sister, dont be ridiculous, what development/service did FTJ bring to Zambia? The chap was a plunderer who took the country ten years back. Look where we are today. Tell me you are joking.

  49. Moreover, sata, Miyanda and hh have been there before and they failed. This is now RB’s time. Go Mudala Go!!! All this hatred and opposition goes to prove that you are the strongest contender. And u will make it coz God is on yo side!

  50. #61 you count and tell me how many PF Mps in Lusaka are not bemba. This talk about HH being tribal will not work and if you want ask RB how he was humiliated at likumbi lya mize. People of n/western province have embraced HH. The good thing I like about this election is that both the private and public media have left HH alone because they think he cant win. This was the case with Mazoka in 2001 and it helped him a greate deal. HH does not have to worry about clarifying this or that which RB has to do every day. Secondly this is not a matter of life or death for HH as is the case for RB and Sata. Lubinda even said it that HH has to give way for Sata because this is Sata’s last chance.

  51. #78 Get me right. Am not saying FTJ was “it”. Am saying the chosen ones are called to service. My point is the big wigs of MMD agreed to call the Trade Unionist to dislodge KK! Which worked for that specific reason. FTJ called Levy for that season. And Levy called RB to be his right-hand man by God’s leading.

  52. #72, I feel you man. These are short comings in our constitution that NCC needs to look at. For me I would rather the mandate is given to the party that has won elections rather that an individual presidential candidate. So that in case of a situation like ours the party in power can find the successor. Food for thought NCC. Serene has a valid point

  53. #79 the problem we have in Zambia at the moment is people have just resigned to defeat of poverty and that is why can have somebody say tha FTJ brought development to Zambia. Even our neihbour Botswana has made a lot of progress than Zambia. It is shameful really and that is why when HH says these things are possible people cant believe because they have been brain washed by midiocre leadership. Under FTJ shant compounds mashroomed and a stealing culture was legalised and today somebody calls this development. A country where public schools are simply a waste of time

  54. There is no legacy to talk about in Zed. Kaunda never left one, chiluba didnt and Mwanawasa certainly didnt. Just compare with other nations like South africa, botswana,Namibia and you will know that there is no legacy to talk about.

Humpty Dumpty wont leave office after 2011. Power corrupts his small wife will want him to continues even if he wont be fit then. it has happened before.

  55. #81, what is your point? If Levy called a crook to lead, then that leader is God given. I am failing to follow your logic. We have seen dictators come to power through dubious means and you call that a calling by God, please……

  56. #79 INONGE, I THINK YOU ARE SUPPORTING BLINDLY AND YOU SEEN NOT TO KNOW HISTORY OR YOU HAVE A SHORT MEMORY LIKE THAT OF A CHICKEN. HOW CAN YOU SAY “Moreover, sata, Miyanda and hh have been there before and they failed”. BECAUSE EVEN RB HAS BEEN THERE AS MP, GOVERNOR AND FAILED TERRIBLY. BE WISE ENOUGH.

  57. imwe ba free market capitalist, why do you criticise the post so much. if a newspaper does not to bring to light what we dont know ,how are we going to vote wisely. if they dont repeat what RB says and disclose what he does in the meetings at Govt house, do you think we would know much of what is going on? we would never know that he gave sugar in eastern province or that cosmo got money from MMD.whoever thinks that the post does not tell the truth should prove otherwise. the post have records and they tend to produce verbatim! remember the VJ saga in DRC?

  58. Iwe #70 Lunatic,
It is not Andy who succumbed to pressure from the tongas; its HH who did that and destroyed the party that Mazoka started so well.
HH has made UPND into a tribal party for Tongas.
HH failed to see the national vision Mazoka had from Zed. He could not differentiate between tonga and UPND. What sense did he see in saying “UPND must be lead by a tonga”?
He was supposed to see danger in those calls and should have withdrawn from the race on principle for the sake of unifying the country around UPND, and wait for better time while opting to serve on lower positions in the party, even ‘vice’ would have been much better strategy for him. But it appears he could not see that.

  59. #87, you couldnt come up with a proper name. You comment is ‘dead’ just like you. Inonge wake up and follow #86’s advice…..

  60. When LPM (MHSRIP) died RB and others said they wanted to contintue with the former’s legacy. But now that the funeral is “over” he is talking about creating his own legacy.Which is which?

  61. I AM ALREADY IN THE BOAT. YOU ARE ALREADY ON A COW AND ON A WATCH. WHEN THE STORM COMES, AT LEAST I WILL SURVIVE THE HASH TERRIBLE SOAKING.

  62. RB I salute you. Despite the trash that some people/newspapers have thrown at you, you have maintained your calm. Like a true soldier, you have focused on job and issue based campaign. Nothing of the like can be said about the other candidates especially the constable. You will surely be rewarded on 30th October.

  63. #91 Its not my fault that your UPND is not doing fine in your former stronghold-Southern Province. Read today’s Post and you will see the story. People are defecting to the BOAT and you want to be the last man standing on petty grounds…VIVA SATA….

  64. BUT ILIKO BAD IYI , EVE NI BAD I THINK SAKI SHOULD HAVE WORKED WITH HH PUT AWAY THERE DIFFERENCES AND ZAMBIA FORWARD AND NOT THIS CIRCUS WE ARE BEING SUBJECTED TO.

  65. RB’s Legacy is simple marrying younger women(45 younger than him), having many children from different women and distributing briberies (sugar & K15m). WHAT A LEGACY ABALE!

  66. I’m too educated to be lead by Cycle Mata,a train conductor. That is why he is mostly popular kuli ba n’gwan’gwazi.
Ubwato bwa buunda, check your time!!!

  67. Lets go MWA MUKOLO FEEEEELAAAAAAAA, my bro, my sis, my mum, my dad, my granddad, my grandmum, my cousi,my niece, my nepheh, my stepmother,my stepdad, my stepsis, my stepbro and all you dearest friends!

  68. come oct 30th i hope to see change.this time MMD has lost and they can feel the heat even in so called mmd stronghold things have changed eg in Northweestern particularly in Solwezi PF has gained ground i can’t wait to see the pipo who will attend Sata rally.there is nothing like intando yeto it’s power to the pipo viva Sata for President

  69. The MMD is heading for defeat. We are seeing some desperation from RB and his campaign team. The usually vocal voices have gone down.. those who were drumming for RB have gone quite fearing the wrath from Sata.

  70. #103 If tribalism is a progressive idea to you then am left with no choice but to label you a shameless RETARD!. Grow up and let civility rein in your rotten head. You talk of progressive ideas which you can’t even spell out in your misplaced and petty arguments. Am Tonga by the way, but I will never support political ideologies based on regionalism or tribalism. VIVA SATA!

  71. Chisanga, Sakwiba and Sichinga were Luska vice presidents. If HH did not take over UPND would have been finished by now. Mazoka used to campaign alone because his vice pres were just arm chair critics. Loook at Sakwiba sa libral party president he has never been anywhere in the country side to campaign other parliament.
HH’s vice Richard kapita is doing a good job in n/western and western provinces.

  72. #92. Lupososhi
Building on LPM’s legacy does not mean you don’t creat legacy.
Some people dont understand what is meant by legacy.
RB’s legacy will be built on the legacy of LPM, but it will be his own legacy.
Don’t tell me that the guy who builds the foundation of a house has built the whole house even when another person comes to do the bricklaying, and the other comes to roof the house, and yet another comes to paint the house. each of these has his own legacy but built on the other(s). I hope this is now simple enough.

  73. we can not talk about the lossing candidates RB be has already won the elections. HH and sata have once again betrayed Zambian by following their greedy ambition of being presidents at one time in Zaambia. Lets vote for RB and MMD.Its true of all the three main candidates RB stands out.Sata talks like Hitle ha says zambian are suffuring because of the chinese. No we are not hard working. WE pull each other done,we dont work as a team eg HH and SATA. How do we expect to rise.China has raised the price of copper.so let then benefit from their engineuity.

  74. #105 ULICHIPUBA – dont you know that even ng’wang’wazis are pipo like you with same feelings, same blood, same skin and made in God’s image like you! IFIMATOBO KWATI NICHI RB!

  75. if anyone wants to read a good article about chinese investment type “michael sata” into news dot google dot com, Peter Hitchens of the Daily Mail…

  76. #110 You have made my day I totally agree with you. That’s the kind of thinking we need to embrace in today’s ZAMBIA. # 103 is trying to be childish.

  77. The post is once again campaigning for Sata but fortunately Sata is not going any where. Everyone knows Sata is a patient and we don’t want another election shortly. We have learnt it a hard way though our dear president left a legacy that Sata can never leave behind. I am supprised that some people can think that UPND/MMD officials can ever leave their parties to join PF. Just wait and see the way you will be shocked. Certain things are just said and never true. I am supprised that somebody even wants to believe it.

  78. 103 KITWEAN. YOU ARE NOT EDUCATED BECAUSE TAKWABA KITWEAN KWABAFYE ZAMBIAN. DON’T MAKE YOUR OWN LINGUISTIC PHENOMENON. HOW YOU CALL YOURSELF IS THE REFLECTION OF HOW DULL YOU ARE-A BLIND FOLLOWER WHO CANT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM.

  79. #98
Trash my comments with reasons or shut up. You would rather have youths disturbing traffic in Lusaka than being told to be serious with education no matter the situation. I hope fools like you are not in large numbers otherwise I am not coming back,

  80. Iwe Chi RB, you are lying after 3 years you will want to finish projects who you will have started, therefore you beg for 5 more years. POWER IS SWEET MY FRIEND,so says Chiluba.

  81. #122 Totally agree with you the rural vote is for HH he went about campaigning in rural areas of zed from way back after 2006 elections. He has been to places where even the media could not cover him. come 30cto people will be shocked.

  82. we need a leader who is intelligent.
    INTELLIGENT means having the capacity for thought and reason especially to a high degree;
possessing sound knowledge; “well-informed about Zambia”,
    exercising or showing good judgment; “healthy scepticism”; “healthy understanding between labor and management”; “with an intelligent solution”; “a sound approach to the problem”; “sound advice”;
endowed with the capacity to reason and defeat wrong advice form people surrounding him.

Among these four candidates whom do you think has these qualities. vote for him

  83. A CORRUPT LEADER LIKE RUPIA CAN NEVER LEAVE A CLEAN LEGACY BEHIND.IF CASES ARISE BEFORE YOU ARE IN STATE HOUSE, WHAT SHALL YOU DO WHEN YOU GET THERE? WELL LEGACIES ARE OF DIFFERENT TYPES BUT GOING BUT WHAT IS EXPOSED SO FAR,I DON’T THINK HE CAN ESTABLISH AN IMPRESSIVE ONE,NEVER!IN HIS LIFETIME! RB KUYA BEBELE NJA.

  84. Beware of Candidates who promise to reduce tax!
They dont tell us how they will raise the so much needed funds for development of our country.
We are willing to pay enough tax to develop our country.
What we need is an environment that will promote business and economic growth so that our salaries will be reasonable enough such that after tax we still have enough disposable cash for personal matters.
We do not want a person who will reduce tax but force eployers to pay meagre wages because the economy cannot allow them to pay descent wages. What value is there for low tax on neglegible wage.
What value is there in reducing tax for the workers in Zimbabwe today.

  85. viva miyanda,
you are the man Zambia has been waiting for.it is your time, forget about some of these yaping bloggers,GOD is with you all the way until you reach plot one.
    zambia, our heritage.
you have my vote and my famils. go go.we are behand you dady and GOD before you to lead the way for you.
it is sad that some of these bloggers are calling you a lost soul. they are the ones who are lost instead because they do not know that you are the GOD sent.people who told you that being first means winning? there is a reason why the man filed in his nomination late, remember he is a man of vision.
my president be strong and follow your vision GOD is with you.viva miyanda viva HP.VIVA ZAMBIA

  86. SATA = ECONOMIC DOOM

    HH = ECONOMIC RECOVERY

    RB = ECONOMIC FAILURE

TRUE ZAMBIANS WOULD MAKE A RIGHTFUL CHOICE. HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  87. we need a leader with WISDOM.
    Wisdom simply means:

    # accumulated knowledge or erudition or enlightenment
    # the trait of utilizing knowledge and experience with common sense and insight
    # ability to apply knowledge or experience or understanding or common sense and insight
    # the quality of being prudent and sensible
in short Wisdom is having gained knowledge, experience, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these well. It is the judicious application of knowledge. To some extent the terms wisdom and intelligence have similar and overlapping meanings.

who has these qualities among our four candidates. vote for him.

  88. Viva HH. He is the only one that has shown good judgement. Sata is always insulting other people, and he never gives details about his economic plans, all he says is more money in your pockets. That is nonsense! I have a bit of respest for RB, but viva HH

  89. RB CHABE.GO ON CAMPAINING WHERE SATAN CAN NOT REACH.HE THINKS ZAMBIA IS ONLY LUSAKA & COPPERBELT.ZAMBIA IS ZAMBIA 73 TRIBES.THIS IS A GENERAL ELECTION AND ITS ONLY BY SIMPLE MAJORITY THAT ONE WINS.AMENSHI WAKAKAMINA MU COPPPERBELT AND THE BOAT WILL NOT MOVE FURTHER.VOTE FOR RB.VOTE WISELY.KUTI NA VOTELAKO NA BA MIYANDA NOT SATAN.ABENA ZAMBIA CAN YOU VOTE FOR ICHISOKA FOR PRESIDENT ?GOD FOR BID.

  90. Please don’t vote for me because I am going to marry your potential wives to be. Which lady will say no to a president? I have very strong manifesto, just look at my 28 year old wife, very young with lots of energy. Nchito ikafika, one round is enough for me personnaly but with her thats just a begining. If someone like Darlington Mwape can come in and help, I will be hapi……………

  91. we need a leader who is educated

    What is education?

Education means knowledge in basic skills, academics, technical, discipline, citizenship etc.
it is the processing of knowledge, using inspiration, visionary ambitions, creativity, risk, ability to bounce back from failure.

Among the four candidate whom do you think is educated. vote for him

  92. If you are teeling thr truth…I remember your Dad. But they way you are arguing…yaba! Kapasa Makasa Jr? I am shocked but not very surprised some other things I wont tell you since you have not done Fundamental of Social Science it seems.

    Pabwatooooooooooooooooooo!

  93. Good news for HH he is getting ground in NW watch out PF you are campaigning in town alone. Zambia is not Lusaka and CB. Go foward HH and shame them who think you can not make it. We need a change we can trust.VIVA HH Gentremani a bola!

  94. Guys, probably we need to start making some rough estimates now. Has anyone got information regarding who among our candidates is controlling Central, Western, and Luapula Provinces? @least so far we have a vague idea about Lusaka, CB, Southern, Eastern and N/Western Provinces. Althoug even these are just the urban parts of it.

  95. we need high achiever in these coming elections.

    who is an achiever?

High achievers are result and action-oriented. They are committed to action. As they make precise plan for what they really want, they go for it and are committed to reach the goal.

whom do you think among our four candidate has this quality. vote for him.

  96. #142 lusaka compus, i also know the Fundamental, principles and elements of Social Science that comprise academic disciplines concerned with the study of the social life of human groups and individuals including anthropology, communication studies, criminology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, social studies, and sociology.

when you read my analysis, you would see that we are in the same line because my emphasis is in the issue at hand which is focusing on individual candidate against the human group(zambian citizens) and politics. Let hope you will see sense in what i am contributing.

  97. Zambians never learn (as can be noted from this blog.) That is why cash-strapped editors, and political hoodlums continue determining our future. We have a leadership crisis right now! HH is someone who may possibly represent us to the world and do what is required to boost the economy with foresight, unfortunately he also cannot win the election because of the tribal tag etc. In these dire circumstances, we may be better off sticking with ‘sugar daddy’ who may leave in 2011 or ‘naturally exit’ which will buy us time for a sensible leader to emerge. We cant risk having a ‘hot head & bully’ like Sata who from close listening, cant articulate the nuts & bolts of taking us forward

  98. If the High Courts had taken a proper look at Sata’s medical records, they would not have allowed him to come this far. We shall see.

  99. Hearsay evidence may be most likely to be admissible in a court of law if heard as a death bed confession. If this is extrapolated to politics, I think a younger politician is most likely to lie so that he can benefit from his reign than an older politician. Why should RB at the age of 74 want to be richer than he is now? Will he take his money to the grave? Oh! I see, he has a young wife: so he would like to leave her a hefty inheritance! That inheritance would be court battles for the rest of her life! Ah! No, friends. Let us take this man’s words seriously. Methinks he wants to leave a good name. A good name with an honourable funeral is a highly desired thing for an African.

  100. please someone tell me.R these elections based on political issues or economical ones? Because I dont think Sata (The Serpent) en Banda(Water melon) can deliver.Maybe The WATER MELON can,but the SERPENT i dont think so!HH the say his is under 5.But the young man has the credentials and the abilities to lead our country and bring in economical empowerment to the citizens. The SERPENT is like the BOSS,he is not an administrator,he is not a leader like his couterparts. Hes full of lies and deceit. He is selfish. Whoever is winning,GOD bless him.But i dont think SATA is one of them.

  101. This HH also, I dont know!
He seems to be accumulating wealth too fast.
It is bringing a lot of questions as to whether that wealth is being obtained genuinely.
What I know is that, though not always, when a man gains wealth too quick someone else somewhere suffers.

  102. Many of us supporting HH are not Tongas. He is well educated and articulates political and economic issues with understanding. We are no longer in the era where a president can just order printing of money (Idi Amin). We support HH because we have the country and not tribe at heart. From the many spporters of Sata it is clear the majoty are Bembas. Even your symbol “Ni Pa Bwato” is Bemba. Therefore we can also argue that PF is Bemba. At your meetings it is all Bemba. Remember no one tribe can vote a president into office.

  103. rb stop dozing in public. muleikuta mwambile kulwa mu unip .do u want to finish every thing.
which legacy. i hope its not legacy of family trees and young mistresses

  104. 157……..you are right my friend those of us who are supporting HH we know how a country is run. look at it this way as we are blogging here the world economy is at steak. thats why you hear pipe in offices say maybe HH’s big brains we do us good….

  105. At the moment, we need someone who can take bold strides to put things in their places without appeasing certain classes in this country. PABWATO!!

  106. Chimudala nichikali, When he speaks bloggers panic. They speak nothing put insults. I like old men. I will vote for the oldest of the three. I don’t trust young pipo so far. whos corrupt of the three
1.Why did levy resigned from MMD?
    2. can the un choose a corrupt person to rule a country i.e namibia?
    3. Is sugar donation corruption?

  107. Sata lost last time because he believes that he can rule zambia without western ,northwestern and southern province. That what he said last time.He never even touched those places. He might not again. Thats what he believes

  108. Does anyone here have evidence of RB being a sugar daddy besides his marrying a younger woman? kwena ama Zambians, efyo batwebela, concluding and critising without substance. I think Iam relocating, I have had enough of ignorance!

  109. ECZ at it again… they are printing things in RSA, in the presence of VJ!!! Zambians wake up. Why didnt they use Government Printers, who equally have sophiscated, latest and well maintained equipment which was bought and installed two years ago?

Just wait and see, MMD have rigging master minders in the fold, and they will anything to corruptly win the election.

ZAMBIANS DONT SAY, YOU WERE NOT WARNED ABOUT THE IMPENDING RIGGING

  110. #115 Why do u think Americans who are educated have their votes counted twice unlike those uneducated?
You must be a train conductor also like Cycle Mata!!!!

  111. PA 147 KAPASA YOU REALLY SOUND LIKE YOUR OLD BALLY! DON’T CHANGE! KARL MARX CONDEMNED THE BOURGEOISIE COZ OF THEIR INCLINATIONS TO CAPITAL ACCUMULATIONS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SUFFERING OF LUMPEN PROLETARIATS, THE (ELECTORATES, MAKASA SNR ADVOCATED FOR SCIENTIFIC SOCIALISM AND ACCEPTED MIXED ECONOMY, BUT COULD NOT STAND “SUGAR DADDY” LEGACIES EVEN IF IT CAME FROM A FELLOW UNIPIST! IF WE ALL BECOME SUGAR DADDIES THERE WILL BE NO SUGAR TO BUY, AND THE LEGITIMACY OF GOVERNMENT WILL BE DOUBTED. “CORRUPTION STINKS” SAID LATE PROF. A. CHANDA, MHSRIP…..AM GOING TO MONK SQUARE FOR FRESH AIR,…NTAMBEKO NATU MOMA COMING FROM BUS STOP (NSHI BAELA NALILEKA). ALA CHALILA PA CAMP. PABWATO! MWAMUKOLO!
