LAZ Assures Zambians of Free and Fair Elections

Share

The law Association of Zambia has assured all Zambians  that the fourth coming presidential by-elections  shall  be transparent and integrity  in all the electoral process  in order to maintain peace and security in the country.

Law association of Zambia LAZ, Human rights committee  convener  Abraham Mwanza said there is need for all political parties to accept and respect the election results proclaimed to have been free and fair by the electoral Commission of Zambia  in accordance with the law of the land .

Mr Mwnza  also said necessary measure will be taken and precautions to prevent the perpetration of Fraud , rigging or other illegal practices  of the entire electoral process to maintain peace and security.

He said  this in a statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka today.

Mr Mwansa noted that the association will  facilitate the deployment of representatives of political parties and individual candidates at polling  and counting stations and also accredit national and other observers  Monitors .

He  however noted that LAZ shall cherish the impartiality of the electoral Commission of Zambia and the independence of the Judiciary as well as other law enforcement agencies during the electoral processes.

Mr. Mwanza further said that adequate logistics and resources for carrying out Democratic elections will be provided and adequate security to all parties participating in the fourth coming elections.

He stressed that equal opportunity to exercise the right to vote and be voted for will be safeguarded as the human and civil liberties of all citizens include the freedom of movement, association, expression and campaign.

mr mwanza noted that Zambia will follow the United nations and African union  Declaration on the principals and gidelines governing Democratic elections in africa.

He noted that Zambia is adhereces to the principals and giudelines governing democratic elections promulgated by the SADC member states which was signed in namibia Windhoak  in 1992. hoping that zambia being state party  to the SADC treaty will observe the laws that have been put in place

And The Electoral Commission of Zambia repeated that it will display results of the forthcoming presidential election at various polling stations after the counting process is concluded.

ECZ Senior Public Relations officer, Sylvia Bwalya, told ZNBC on Monday that the commission has adopted a system used in Zimbabwe.

She said this in order to make the entire election process transparent.

Ms. Bwalya said the system will also avoid suspicion of rigging.

She said the ECZ has also allowed representatives of stakeholders to monitor the printing of ballot papers in South Africa to ensure the electoral process is transparent.

And the representatives who are currently in Durban told journalists that they are happy with the exercise.

The stakeholders say the gesture by the Electoral Commission of Zambia to allow them to monitor the exercise has dispelled fears of malpractice during the forthcoming election.

  1. If you spend all your campaign time peddling bath tubs in streets and market places instead of campaigning and replacing lost voters cards, you cannot win elections.MMD is winning because has taken this bye-election serious.

  2. Ho Ho Ho!
The most corrupt in the country. Who would listen to them?

They fall for even simple things like sweets from Father Christmas.

    Ho Ho Ho.

  3. Pragmatist #1. Are you sure you are in the States? You sound like one of those who despite seeig the outside world are still villagers easy to buy with sugar.

  4. An intelligence report conductd in all provinces puts Sata as the underdog,RB closely trailing behind HH.People this time want real & meaningful change.

  5. #5 Father Christmas,
Good luck if you are one of those incubated in incubaters with a silver spoon in your mouth. I take pride in my home village and honor all those like me with villages.Good luck that the blog is your everything: spouse, habiting sanctuary, career and dreaming center.again i pride in the village and all those with roots or still there.Even in the west Oilmen and farmers are in country side but successful.

  6. LAZ is a great let down to the people of Zambia. When they voted on whether or not to go for the NCC, they had 54 spoiled Votes out of 80 delegates. how can we trust such human beings? Remember, there are no Children there!!!

  7. # 6.HH has done his work now.He has the rural vote & he is incharge of 4 provinces. He is coming # 2 in 3 provinces.Sata is the 1 who does nt enjoy rural support.

  8. We need a contest to coin the best acronymn for SATA. Here are some suggestions from the call boys in Matero who are annoyed with SATA’s fight against their MP.

  9. MoB # 6,
What intelligence report? How was it documented? What Independent, Dependent and control variables were used? Where was it derived from, who did it and to whom was it submitted that it should start fooling you? minimise your ignorance of issues because the cyberspace is patronized by empiricists, professional statisticians and political scientists well vested in predictive statistics and research methods using SPSS software.Limit your ignorance minimise the pain of accepting defeat. You don’t even understand voting terrain and voting factors.

  10. Banda has a degree in economics and is also a prominent businessman. He is the owner of KB Davis, a firm that supplies mining equipment in the north-central Copperbelt region.
After Mwanawasa fell out of favour with Zimbabwe’s leader Robert Mugabe for calling Zimbabwe a “sinking Titanic” in 2007, it was Banda who was dispatched to Harare to smooth relations. Banda was born in Gwanda, in the south of what was then British-ruled Southern Rhodesia, now known as Zimbabwe

  11. “And The Electoral Commission of Zambia repeated that it will display results of the forthcoming presidential election at various polling stations after the counting process is concluded.”
HH tipped to wion by a landslide victory.
Nangu chibe ifi, ine ndi pabwato nomba.
Vote for Sata and PF to do trial-and-error governing of GRZ until the inflation rate for Zambia beats the Zimbabwean world record.

  12. LAZ, what do you mean free and fair elections. LAS seems to be an @ss of itself. How can elections be fair when already rb is bribing and corrupting villagers, chiefs, political parties, etc? Is the legal service that shallow in our country, sure? rupia has committed serious offences against the people of zambia he is not even supposed to stand for elections rather than explaining in the high court as to why he resorted to stealing public funds and in turn use it to commit the above mentioned offences.

  13. The latest one is that SATA stands for Stupendous, Adulterous, Talkative Adult – this is reported in New York news!! #10, can that one be on the list as no 6, please?

  14. LT improve you reporting with correct names of people, your article above mentions a Mwanza, then changest to Mwansa which one is this person.

  15. #10 and 19, please, we beg, twapapata, twakomba, tipempa, lwakupa, tünalombi*, let us avoid insulting Honourable Sata or any other Zambian. This is time to show level-heardness and so respect, umuchinshi, ibulemu, ulemu….

u’re really making us feel lazyto type msgs
it’s no longer interesting just typing msgs.
Do u really know how to do business?

  17. I don’t trust Laz.Those are few individuals enjoying the money.Always they rig the elections in order to keep their jobs.Nowonder we can’t develop in zed with such untrusted institutions.
If we want development Laz should be independent, period!!

  18. #18 peter

i agree on this one, there is no way you can say that these elections are free and fair when RB is distributing sugar, cars and other things to Chiefs at this time.

If RB has got a degree in economics, why cant he campaign wisely by telling us what he’s going to do for the country. what are his thoughts on the policies, and other several factors affecting Zambia.

But, there is an easy way out given the short time to campaign just distribute sugar and bribe a few officials = WIN. the rest i dont know.

  19. Why is it that us in ubwato are always complaining and insulting. This election will be free and fair PERIOD The results of the performance for each candidate will placed outside each polling station for all to see.
Viva pabwato and Sata to sink Zambia’s economy to beat the Zimbabwean economy world record.

  20. RB is not the worst candidate. Filter out Sata and Miyanda and we shall have a Zambia we need. I personally believe in issues and that we can progress. Sata is telling lies and we know it. Miyanda is telling lies and we know it. However, I believe in HH somehow and I believe in RB to some extent because of his loyalty to LPM. I think anyone of these two can finish Mwanawasa’s term and we shall elect the real deal in 2011. We know who the real deal is- watch the space.

  21. This one cracks my ribs!! How fertile can people’s minds be? Hilarious!!

  23. #11 thanks for putting it straight.people are learned but don’t want to use their tools of analysis and would blog like kaponyas.

  24. Whatever. Half of you don’t even know a ballot paper from @ss wipes. The comprehension and opinion of bloggers on this site is appalling; a thread can’t go two posts without some incoherent retard coming on to hurl an insult at people that aren’t here to defend themselves. Blabbering PF/MMD/UPND groupies with gaping holes where your brains should be. The country’s more important than your incompetent political parties.

    Grow up.

  25. The whole process leading to election has not been fair. Look at the adverts on the tv – its all RB. Are we saying the opposition are not moving in provinces?

  26. The truth is we should not take things for granted. what had happen to kenya must be a lesson to us. people on this blog sometimes be level headed dont just joke. some jokes can be provokative we are human beings with emotions and that sometimes it difficult our contain emotions. let us examine the issues and debate constructively and see where the problem might come from. Never be cheated that we zambians are peaceful people that is lie, ask yourself in what context are we peaceful. this time we are the boiling point. the 2006 election up to now Sata is an up standing person who did exercise his leadership by asking his supporter to stop fighting he had put the interest of the country first

  27. Choma1 do your research probably KB Davies belongs to Kavindele (me) and Robert Hudson is the one that belongs to my friend Banda. VIVA SATA VIVA PF PA BWAAAAAAAAAAAAATOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  29. It is suddening to learn that we are now seeing Zimbabwe as a model in the transmiting election results. We hope they will not immitate the one month results period.Come on fellow ZDs,we cud do much much better than ZIM.It was our LPM (M.H.S.R.I.E.P) Who advocated for free and fair electro process. Im sure uncle BOB is waiting and watching to laugh at characters such as RB,MULONGOTI….endless list that we all know. In short the world is watching what ever is happening. For once let us be a role model in the SOUTHERN AFRICAN democracy as BOTSWANA PLS.

  30. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to trust a lwayer.

I hope we all remember the elections LAZ held to decide on one very important natiional issue? Do you remember that they even had spoilt ballot papers.

    Just look around.

  31. Hi all blogers. Pragmatist and real deal. You sound as though your brains have just been fried. As for free and fair what bull sh…. I find the whole process off. I was just doing some election result analysis. I find HH to be the one who should work hard. He won Southern only and trailed badly in Northern,Lusaka,CB,Luapula. He come second in NW,Eastern and Western . The MMD won in most rural areas. However you notice a strange partern in the results.Resounding wins next to areas they lose terrebly , but just b coz its rural they win. Out of this I smelt a big rotten rat. Stuffed ballot boxes moved there. RIGGING . Ladies and Gentlemen , this animal is as real as me and you.Be alert

  32. Ba ECZ, they are even proud to mention Zimbabwe in the breath of Elections and results…maybe i didn’t follow the issue well (the whole Zimbabwe thing)was is that successful that they had to share power!!! a new phenomenon to democracy!!! What do you the significant other think?!

As for Ba LAZ, they don’t even command my respect with their inconsistency and compromise awe kwena!!

Therefore, i urge all of in the diaspora and those us at home to fight a good fight of democracy and vote for a leader worthwhile….

  33. its hi time we stopt insults.leadership comes from God.cntnue prayng hard 4 a good prsdo lk LPM.Come Oct 30 pls vote wisely. All the best…

  34. DON’T FORGET YOUR PROBLEMS NOW,PLS WE SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS BY VOTING SUITABLE LEADER,THAT LEADER IS HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  35. Know we won’t pray for a good leader like LPM, Ba #47, when did you know that Levy was a good leader!!Praying for a Leader like LPM would be impossible coz there was only one Levy…

God has given us pool to choose from, so just choose right and that leader will be a good leader even better than LPM!!!

    So Vote For SATA!!!

    PABWAAAAATOOOOOOO>>>>>

  36. Banda is Southern Province panicking:
“The exercise of voting for only the person coming from your province is an exercise in futility. There is no need to spoil your vote because your vote is very important. Vote for me and I will deliver to you,” Mr Banda said.

  37. 12# point of correction KB Davis belongs to Enock Kavindele and not Rupiya Banda, Unless if Mr Banda is the share holder in the company.

  38. RB LIED. RB BRIBED. RB IS CORRUPT. RB CANNOT GIVE US FAIR, CORRUPTION FREE ELECTION. RB CANNOT FIGHT CORRUPTION. CORRUPTION IS THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF POVERTY

  39. I may agree with some people.
How can an election be fair when only one candidate is criticised.
SATA is busy distributing money during his rallies and the POST praises him saying he is a rewarder of talent, what talent?
SATA’s corruption is reward to the public while RB’s official duty to the poor is corruption.
The post showed a picture of SATA corruptly dishing out money to a rally attendant after what was said to be an acrobatic performance, and the post calls it reward for talent.
I dont know whether if RB gave money to those talent women who dance before him the POST would say RB has rewarded talent.
Litle minds get easily confused by litle manipulation from M’membe.

  40. All well meaning zambians will agree with me that, HH is the best man for this season. All his competitors have outlived their usefulness. They are just there to rob zambians of their little resources.

Viva HH, you are the best candidate

  41. Why do we have people whining here about the post not being balanced? RB has ZNBC, Times of Zambia and Daily Mail to praise him day and night for every stupid thing he does. Why is it that people are not complaining about that ? The Post is just countering this force of three major media forces in the country to give some of you unknowing chaps balanced views of RB. As for criticism for the other candidates, well you can find it in those same three media gateways dedicated to the praise of corrupt RB.

  42. #57 brother or sister, tell me something,i hear HH was on Muvi yestday evening?I never liked this guy,but that Sunday interview won my heart.Since then i have stated following him closing,he cud make a very gud president.

  43. Rupiah’s shadow Cabinet exposed

Some founder members of the ruling MMD allegedly met recently to come up with a Cabinet Acting President Banda will be working with should he win the forth-coming presidential by-election.

And some of the Minister’s believed to have come from the family tree are earmarked for prosecution. An ardent supporter of the Vice President told the monitor & digest in an interview that a caucus meeting held at a named house resolved to drop all Cabinet ministers who did not support the adoption of Banda.

The supporter revealed that some MMD founder members alongside officials from UNIP were being considered for ministerial positions. He said some deputy minis

  44. #58 point.Actually these state media are annoying especially Znbc.I nolonger watch their so called news cos to me its not news at all.Rb’s rallies that were held 3 or 4 days ago would be brought on Znbc as news time and again, what nonsense.

  45. Among outside people considered for appointment include Mbita Chitala, Vernon Mwaanga, Lt Col. Muyoba, Kamoyo Mwale, Bwalya Chiti, Suresh Desai, Katele Kalumba and former MMD national chairman Boniface Kawimbe, said the source.

According to the source, Chiti and Mulongoti are expected to be appointed as Banda’s two vice presidents. He said the ministry of home affairs will be held by former Drug Enforcement Commissioner Kamoyo Mwale who would replace Ronnie Shikapwasha; Chitala will be appointed as Minister of Finance and National Planning and would be deputized by Suresh Desai; Kalumba was promised the position of Health Minister; VJ will take the ministerial position currently held by

  48. VJ will take the ministerial position currently held by MMD deputy chairman Kabinga Pande and Sylvia Masebo’s job was offered to her deputy Benny Tetamashimba; the ministerial position of Justice minister was offered to Sakwiba Sikota and Dr Boniface Kawimbe will go to the ministry of works and supply. He said ministerial of Agriculture and Cooperatives was reserved for a member of UNIP yet to be identified. Other founder members being considered for nomination to parliament and then appointed include Akashambatwa Mbukusita, General Christon Tembo, Rodger Chongwe

  49. who is who? Mwanza, Mwansa or Mwnsa? we need to know who said what, the three names you have given us are TOTALLY different

  50. I totally agree that HH came out presidential on ZNBC. He had good command of the facts and knows where to take the country. Seriously considering him. . .

  55. DID YOU KNOW THAT RB IS KK’S BROTHER-IN-LAW? HE(RB) IS BETTY KAUNDA’S COUSIN. THAT’S WHY TILYENJI DID NOT STAND AGAINST HIS UNCLE AND THAT’S WHY KK IS SUPPORTING RB. ESSENTIALLY, THIS MEANS THE KK FAMILY IS TRYING TO GET BACK IN STATE HOUSE.NOW THOSE OF US WHO SUFFERED UNDER KK WILL MAKE SURE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN.

  56. infact its only those who feel they will benefit from RB that are making the most noise HH power we need an Obama for Zambia let the old men and women rest

  57. The power lies in us whether to put MMD back into power or not, with all these things happeing, its time we vote wisely.

  58. wisely we shall vote NO MORE recycled old politicians they have failed to steer this country for the last 40 years Zambia needs a paradime shift

  59. # its a pit MUVI tv is only in lusaka and as such we dn’t get to know what really happening out there. Unlike the better TV we have its only RB compaingning and why they don’t show others no one knows, I think TV license should be optional coz we don’t benefite anything from ZNBC and its better not to watch it. Its too much of RB.

  68. Imwe ba Joseph! you can’t you see that it is a political stunt? look at the man in the fore front of organizing the event, why should the great man of God as you put it only visit RB and not these other presidential candidates?

    VIVA OPPOSITION!!!

  69. #87 imagine he can’t even think of constructive developmental programmes apart from Levy’s Legacy if not then he is busy insulting HH and Sata.

  70. #18 and 25

I salute you for the maturity you have displayed. Lets talk about really issues not just insulting ba Sata and PF for your own selfish interests. What good things have we seen in the 3 years or so? Everything is bad, fuel prices, shortages of medicines in clinics, power shortages, etc and when we are about to vote, fuel prices have gone down and I remember in 2006, the dollar reached a double inflation and what happened afterwards. Insults wont help not in any way and for LAZ please, we need change

  71. Zedians, this time round, vote wisely- vote for Micheal Sata, for the following reasons:
    1. He is a pragmatic and action-
    oriented old man.
    2. He has a record of good deeds
in whatever position he has held.
    3. Contrary to beliefs,Sata is not rough
and dictatorial but a man who is good
and easily mixes with the lowly.
    4. We need a bulldozer at plot1 to replace the “Icibumba” A Dozer is what you need to correct the bumpy places in the Zedian economy, the dirty environment where people urinate everywhere and the Chinese who think that once they invest in Zambia they can even start practicing Kung-nfu on workers and blow up workers as in the chambishi Explosives factory case.

  72. # 12 Choma1.your display og ignorance amazes me.iniatially i thot u were joking but hey! am conviced that u know nothing about national issues.
KB DAVIES belongs to EP KAVINDELE & RB owns ALLENWEST which is highly indebted to ZRA & its clients.Thats y RB campaigners have stopped talking about taxes.

  73. No. 94- I agree with you. Forget people who failed to run their previous portifilios like RB and people who have NEVER held any public office (and therefore we dont know how well they can do running a public office! ) like HH.

  74. RB is KK’s brother-in-law
KB Davies does not belong to RB, it belongs to Kavindele(rich man)

All companies which belonged to Rupiah Banda have run down, one of them is Robert Hudson where Dr Akashambatwa was MD. Thats why AKA is supporting RB, so that they can come and run down mother Zambia.

Zambians watch the events…. VJ is not sick but has gone to RSA for rigging purposes. Mind you, VJ is from the intelligency

  75. 94 makes sense….lets look at pipo who can do the job not just offer cheap talk…i mean, we are all tired of that…come on guys be reasonable…

  76. #38 FK i am surprised that you can cite Botswana as a role model of democracy, a country where presidents are hand picked where no presidential elections are held. mind busting. refer to them as a peaceful country not democratic. know your neighbours

  77. I wish all zambians new that if sata and rb are put in power then we will have sold the future of our children and ourselves to their (sata & rb) benefits. these pipo never prepared for their future while in office so they think its now.

  78. 94 has misled you guys, there are many zambians who can do that and even better than sata. umwana ushenda atasha nyina kunaya bwali.

  79. Having listened to the PF sponsored program on one of the local radio stations this morning, where the presenter tried his best to get issues-based questions answered by the President. It was evident that PF is now getting desperate with promises of changing things around by end of this year – but with no plan outlined. The presenter had to fade out a rent-a-cadre type person who was insulting everyone in the opposition he could think of and calling them criminals without evidence. THAT is what we know of PF and its membership. That will be their downfall. That is the reason JD Jakes should visit ba SATA’s PF and exocise them of their kaponya mannerisms.

  80. #99 BABA. IMHO(In My Humble Opinion), MMD will take the day but HH has come in strongly and people are listening. If these elections had included parliamentry elections, UPND would be the biggest opposition. I think last time we all saw HH as an opportunist. HH sands a very good chance in 2011 if UPND manage to shake the tribalist tag by including big names from other tribes, as it were, in their top party hierarchy.

  81. YOU GUYS ARE YOU REGISTERED VOTERS IF NOT YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME.
WE KNOW WHAT WE NEED. THE HAND THAT WILL GIVE US HELP IN TIME OF TROUBLE.THE HAND THAT WILL PUDDLE THE BOAT IS THE HAND WE NEED

  82. 106, YOU TALK ABOUT TRIBAL YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS TRIBAL LEAVE HH ALONE. WHY WAIT FOR 2011 THE MAN CAN DO THE WORK NOW. GO FOWARD HH

  83. #74. MOPAO MOKONZI,
Your analysis looks too simplified, I am sure you can do better than that.
You are telling us KK, and his son are supporting RB because they are relatives? So going by your reasoning, Sakwiba is their grandfather and all the other people supporting RB are his sisters or brothers. Including the chiefs countrywide; are all his twin brothers.
If thinking was following a traight line all the time, it would have been very boring; me I would not even want to be doing it.
I would like to believe that you are PF. I think this ‘bwato’ thing has side effects on one’s analytical mind. Medical investigations may show that this ‘bwato’ thing is a serious ‘mysterious diseases’.

  84. SATA is busy dishing out money during his rallies and the POST praises him saying he is a rewarder of talent, what talent?
SATA’s corruption is reward to the public while RB’s official duty to the poor is corruption.
The post showed a picture of SATA corruptly dishing out money to a rally attendant after what was said to be an acrobatic performance, and the post calls it reward for talent.
I dont know whether if RB gave money to those talent women who dance before him the POST would say RB has rewarded talent.
Litle minds get easily confused by litle manipulation from M’membe.

  85. Please ba LAZ don’t lie. Today’s Times of Zambia (front page) is just full of RB’s stories. Never will elections pa Zed be free and fair with the crooked MMD.

  86. Hi Folks….

Early this morning I enjoyed watching a live Presidential debate between Obama & his rival McCain. It was conducted by Tom Brokaw in a Town Hall in Tennessee.

Below are some of the good questions I jotted down. I thought we should learn something from American politics, shouldn’t we? Well….

    1. What’s the fastest solution to bail out retirees?

    2. Who would you appoint as your treasury secretary?

    3. How will the bail out package help the American people?

    4. How can we trust you with our money when both parties got us into crisis?

    5. What will be fastest priority? Energy, healthcare or entitlement reform?

    6. What sacrifices will you ask people to make to

  87. # 53 Kayombo. Yes HH was on MUVI TV yesterday and he articulated issues very well. The interview was so superb but short. Awe kalilanda akamwaiche mwe!!!!!!!!

  88. 6. What sacrifices will you ask people to make to restore American dream?

    7. Would you give congress a deadline to reform social security & Medicare?

    8. What would you do to make congress move fast on the environment issues?

    9. Should health care be treated as a commodity?

    10. Is health care a privilege, right or responsibility?

    11. How will economic stress affect US ability to act as Peacemaker?

    12. What’s your doctrine for the use of force for humanitarian crises?

    13. Should the US purse Algaeda in Pakistan?

  89. Pause for a moment.

Think deeply on this: In a Zambian context, how do you think SATA would respond to such serious economic questions? Do you really think he can drill our way out of the current tough global financial crises? What’s his doctrine on INVESTORS, especially the hard working Chinese?

    Thank you….

  90. Am an intelligence officer and and I see weekly reports that are filed from across the country. I can tell you that of late, the Acting President’s Weekly Security briefings with the defence chiefs are his worst nightmare. Sata is more stronger on the ground than before. Actually, in Lusaka, Copperbelt, Northern, Central, Luapula..a landslide is obvious for him and our bosses here know that. No wonder, MMD has now engaged image builders. Things are not alright!Wait for October 30! Am not PF but lets just brace ourselves for a Sata Presidency.

  91. # 58 I agree with you. The Times of Zambia, Zambia Daily Mail and ZNBC TV and Radio are all praising RB on whatever he does; be it good or foolish. The Post reports fairly and we all know this, not what ba # 56 is saying. Viva the Post, the paper that digs deeper. period.

  92. So far,its only HH and if this election was in about 2 months time,HH would have won easily. Nonetheless he still has a chance. He’s really won many hearts especially in the past few days.He is not attacking anybody, he his just minding his business of selling his party’s manifesto.

  93. #116 Zulu,
Do you understand who an intelligence officer is?
You behave like Kapata at City Council, who does very well at his PR job.
An intelligent officer is not the best spokesman for the community. But you, you talk like PF. I said earlier, that this ‘bwato’ thing must have serious side effects on those who practice or use it.
I think the best time is now; it will be too late to call doctors when many people start suffering from ‘bwato’ simptoms.
This ‘bwato’ epidemic may show simptoms such as:
    1) relactance to show logic,
    2) anger towrds analytical issues.
    3) insults and accute temper
Doctors may simply term it as ‘mysterious disease’, but people should not worry at all.

  94. No.109-Fine: Yes I can do better but I thought it went without saying. The chiefs and villagers want sugar from RB, Sakwiba wants a job from RB( else how could he support a corrupt person as a lawyer himself!).Remember Saki was ousted from UPND on the basis of tribe by HH and his stooges- you dont expect him to support HH!As for being a ‘PaBwato’ supporter- I only support people with proven track records of performance. RB failed to run LUDC ( I was in Lusaka at the time- when SATA took over things changed!). I have no big problem with HH except that he has never run any public office before( any government appointment, MP, governor). Do I need to talk about Godfrey Miyanda!

  95. The Intelligence guys are too spoilt. They’re in fact vultures. How intelligent are they? The only officers who were properly trained for the job were THE SPECIAL BRANCH in KK’s era. My great dad was one of them. The current crop of OP guys are just plunderers on a mission to mislead the President of the day.

  96. 120. MOPAO MOKONZI,
So do you think their is any person in Zambia who will support RB without complying with your reasoning?
Do you thing someone can support or vote for RB for other reasons than the ones you have?
Or you feel you are the one who keeps the list of all reasons why people are gona vote for RB?

  97. MMD will get 90% votes in Eastern, 90% votes in Western, 90% votes in North-western, 40% votes in Copperbelt, 70% votes in Central province, 25% in Lusaka,30% votes in Southern, 15% % votes in Luapula and 40% votes in Northern provinces. Sata will get 60% of Northern, 60% of copperbelt, 60% of Lusaka, 90% votes in Luapula, 2% votes in Southern, 2% votes in Western, 2% votes in North-Western, 20% in Central and 5% in Eastern province.MMD is poised to win the presidential election.

  98. 123 Fine,
Iam not campaigning for MCS but I believe I am entiled to my opinion whether you like it or not. But dont you find it is strange that people are supporting someone who actually bribed a potential defector in 1991? Their support for such a person who is both a corrupt person and a non-performer should be stemming from other reasons such as what benefits these people can reap from him or the fact that he is their in-law. Think what you will but I rest my case.Let’s move on.

  99. #113 thanks for the updated.I hear everywhere including Eastern Province pipo want change not just change but postive change and its HH pipo r talking about

  106. no. 6 that is a total lie. there is no such intelligence report HH is nowhere near the top. It is sata vs. RB and RB will win. Do not bring fake intelligence reports. those type of reports are produced by intelligence to deceieve. the real reports are never published. it is for eyes only and on a need to know basis

  107. We are in trouble, RB is the next president. MMD will be in power for 20 years by 2011.I think we are back to a one party state rule. Next time let us try something different. Let us prove we can go beyond one mind set of thinking that things would go bad if we kick out UNIP,MMD and so on.

  108. Ni pabwato.
