  1. Even fi Zambia will loose wont qualify to world cup because: Zambia twalisebana lelo tatwakalabe.

MMd in Power again thru corrupted rural votes. atase, I’m an engineer now i’m going out of zambia to look for a well paying Job and I know Ai will get it. I have been patriotic enough but it seems the rural folks will be determining our destiny.

Zambia shalapo Naya. It is my desire nothing will improve here, I also blame HH. Tonga’s where he is a force kindly force him to see sense, he should bhave backed sata and become Prime minister. this way could have sold himself. Now Never ever shall he ever rule.

  2. The squad doesn’t look very balanced. The frontline is not that sharp. What happened to the likes of Sanida Zulu, Lottie Phiri and Lwangi Chiyanki? The are too many new faces. This is a MUST win game. I see Renard recalling Billy Mwanza after we draw in Luanda.

  3. #7 where’re talking football here not politics.
get your act (or school of thought) together and focus on the topic-football!!!

  4. Its soo sad that we could not qualify for the Olympics in Beijing with the under 23 soccer team.It was the same thinking of players have graduated to the senior team when other countries with players in Europe can call them for under 23 duty.Again we still go back to the same mistake with the U20 by saying some players can not be called bcoz there in the senior team.Shall we be serious with tax payers money.Every time is sembe sembe………

  5. Ahh! Zed soccer! I wish you all the best, but whats the plan with those new players? The old ones have a bit of experience i would like to see them featured too.

  6. I think most people here don’t understand what this game is about! Its not the national team as we know it, this team comprises of only local players to play in the Inaugural CHAN not for 2010! Thats why we have so many unknown names. Make sure you understand the topic before you waste your time talking about what you don’t understand! Else you’ll be mistaken for a PF cadre!

  7. I think Chipolopolo is are luck that RB is president. Atleast RB used to talk about football development once voted into power. Sata never used to say anything about sprot and football in particular in his campaigns.

  8. # 7, we are talking soccer at the moment. its the one thing ALL Zambians are united about.Politics is on another headline.I like the fact that the coach is giving a chance to new players. This is how we can discover new players. We cant continue relying on the same stock of aging, overweight, unfit players. The only way to get the best out of an athlete is to make him earn his place. Some of our boys are too complacent.I like this coach’s style. No favouritism or being intimidated by senior players.Im sure the pro’s will be called to beef up the squad.

  9. 10# Mr He Man, Allow me to answer your question concerning Benard Makufi. He canot play football anymore because of the Knee injury. However the last time I met him he was studying in Sweden and He has married a Swedish lady. I hope I have answered your question Sir? Thankyu.

  10. #22 kennedy kanyinji, any relation to bernard kanyinji??? he was a good friend and team-mate. #21 abantu baya, well said ,brother. Football is where we forget our worries and exercise our passion.I am relieved the elections are over.I was stressed. Que cera, cera!!!

  11. #24 VICFALLS, too bad about Makufi. The was some talent there. Its ironic that his “makufi” are what have made him leave the game early:)))) sorry , just my sense of humour, dark, albeit.

  12. Players put your best in these games as football or playing soccer is your profession which i must say is short.Be displined. The moment you reach 29-30yrs you will be called “MADALAS” where under A. wenger u cant be given a contract exceeding 1yr.Good lucky Zambia.

  13. Are these the same guys who will play all the qualifying games? I hope that is the main team, we don’t want experiments. We need to make one strong team

  14. I wish Our League will be developed most especially in Rural Areas. The Government should reward the Rural folks by developing sports and the infrastructure so that we have a wide variety of committed Players across the Country.I look forward to watching premier league Soccer at David Kaunda Stadium in Chipata,Mongu,Mansa,Kasama,Maramba Stadium in L/Stone and Solwezi. That will bring competetion and develop the Areas.

  15. #29 i commend you on a very imaginative nickname! These are the things that make me really miss home. Can you imagine living in a place where only you, your madame and kids are zambian? thats why i love LT.i can laugh for days at Zedian humour no matter how silly. It will take alot of money and probably many many years for your vision to become reality ,iwe mwamuna onzuna! dnipo wani sekesa boyi!

  16. This national team no professionals are involved, it is a new cup only for local players who are not professional inorder to market their talents abroad for them to turn into professional.

  17. didnt realise that its a new tourney. Thanks #34.THATS A REALLY GOOD THING FOR OUR LOCALLY BASED PLAYERS.very god stage to show their worth.I think it will be a good competition to watch.

  18. No# 24 thank you for the Benard Makufi update, i once met him back when he was a soccer phenom. The fact that he is married and in school is a greater blessing. He shall not feel the pain that most Zambians that trully know what gear we hit Friday shall have to bear. regarding Zambian soccer, uhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! not being negative, but I love my life and dedicate it to God so as the do not give a young man hypertention.

  19. #This follows the nice pictures in w w w . lusakatimes . c o m / ? p = 5245. I just like to see how Former President FTJ Chiluba (Hon. Doctor, Malawi) dribbled Sata 3 times in a roll – a reall and nice hat-trick. I wrote about it before the elections that ba-Chiluba will help us to dribble Sata together with the POST and caused Sata to lose. How nice to see how ba-Chiluba has helped my country Zambia to be without a dictator as Zambian President.
Huts off ba-Chiluba, please hang on for you might just help us dribble Sata again in 2011. Take care and be blessed. The good Lord, God, surely forgives and please confess anything that is not yet right between you and God, if you haven’t yet.

  20. 24 Victoria Falls, thank you for the update on Benard.Good to hear that he is in school and is married.Do you think Faz knows where he is?

  21. We hav called a good team and i think we can do it especially when we come to zambia with our traditional copper tops and black shots.. GO ZAMBIA GO.

  22. #37 IFIMATAKO.WHY DO YOU HATE SATA SO MUCH? ALIKULILA BAMADAM? CA’NT YOU SEE THAT PEOPLE ARE DISCUSSSING SOCCER HERE? UKUTUMPA.

  23. I do agree with all positive feedback on this matter. The pride Zed once held for its football team has been dull for too long a time.Very few people here would proudly cheer on losers, but champhons…..Without our utmost support these “newbies” will never rise above the tide. They need our faith
