Continuous voter registration vital, Finnish Ambassador

Finnish Ambassador to Zambia, Sinikka Antila, says continuous voter registration is paramount in enhancing the country’s electoral process.

Ambassador Antila says alot still needs to be done despite the positive achievements recorded in the October 30 presidential election.

she was speaking in Lusaka during celebrations to mark the Finnish 91st National Day which fell on Friday.

And Agriculture Minister, Brian Chituwo said the new cabinet is determined to fulfill on all election campaign promises.

He said cabinet will address the several challenges in the country, which include high poverty levels.

Zambia held presidential elections on October 30 to choose a President after the death of the incumbent, Levy Mwanawasa.

MMD candidate, Rupiah Banda, won the election beating three other contenders.

  2. The finished Finnish ambassador is right. I hope these calls for continous voter registration won’t fall on dead deaf ears again.

  3. THESE FOREIGN AMBASSADORS HAVE A LOT TO SAY ABOUT OUR INTERNAL AFFAIRS.I KNOW THEY MEAN WELL, BUT THIS IS STILL INTERFERENCE.

  4. To be honest, I don’t think that the Finnish ambassador deserves to comment on our country’s electoral process. Imagine the Zambian ambassador telling the Finnish people how to conduct their elections.

    1. Salaries of Mps, cabinet ministers and himself where increased

    2. Over 300 miners or more have lost there jobs (Kansanshi Mine to axe 298 jobs)

    3.Unza & CBU tuition fees have been increased

    4. for the first time in about five years Zambia has a no Bumper harvest

    5.The price of mealie has sored

    6. The kwacha has depreciated

    7. Inflation is 19%

    8.He has invited Plunderers back Eg Xavier is back Chilu Free

    Zambians, this is just the begining of the worst to come i can bet on that
