  6. The late Emmanuel Kasonde Mukosa was a man of people, who believed in making those in need to see the love of those with richies as part of them and contributed alot to political change in Zambia. The people of Malole will deeply miss him for his development projects especially in education, roads and Health. I believe he will be buried on his farm besides his beloved late wife. The late Kasonde promised he will never marry after the death of his beloved wife and remained commited to his wish. your search for God for your entire life is a lesson for us to learn from. My thoughts and prayers to the family through this difficult and testing times. We will always miss you. MHRIP.RB weldone

  7. Chewe, I didn’t know that when one marries one goes to bed at 17 hours, it is 17 hours here, if that is the case I will remain a mushimbe bakamba! Such is life without a wife.:d

  8. All the witness in the US 77 million Absa claim in Zambian Government are passing on, Mwanawasa and now Kasonde. The only witness remaining is Absa local agent in Zambia James Banda. How I wish Mwanawasa and Kasonde were men in enough to see through what they stated and to have their day in court.

  9. SHUT UP ALL OF YOU… YOU ARE SAYING HE IS A GOOD MAN WHEN YOU WERE THE SAME ONES SAYING HE IS STEALING…. YOUR ARE ALL USELESS… ATA!!!!

  10. RB when declaring state funerals, you should also be stating the crimes of these chaps against Zambia. You look like your area of specialisation is only to cover Mwanawasa and company corruption.

  11. Well at least we arn’t hosting the games so there should be some cash in the coffers to cover this funeral and those still to come.

  12. Bane mubebe ko ba kateka ba Banda mutile ‘Don’t scatter roses after one is gone’
Peni ubumi busuma kuli abo abali no mweo, that is what matters most.

  13. Sure ba RB, all you are able to is declaring state funerals? Coz off all you are heard of in the development sector is delaring state funerals, fundraising parties and denying a country hosting an important event such as hosting an all Africa games. You seem to be relaxed so much. All you are about is partying… By the way state funerals are some kind of party coz people get some kind of joy instead of working. Check out the bill that will come out as a result of luxurious convoys, extra time… and yet it will zero production national wide!!!

  14. Mr,Kasonde, MAY YOUR REST IN PEACE AND THE ANGELS take you to Heaven. and those who have gone before you well com you.

Mr. Kasonde is of the out standing Financil Ministers in Zambai, He worked to see the economy starts to move after Kuandu had left the mines in ruins and the country as a whole!!
Heartfelt condolences to the family :((

  15. Iwe #37 Chipuba. It si true uli chipuba. It is not every Koswe that receivec a state funeral. There is a creteria as who qualifies

  16. Nomba imwe ba Londoner, who told u that when somebody dies angels take them to heaven? If u r a christian, re-read your bible mune. u die, u go to the ground and await christ’s return. Either to the ressurection of the just or them that are condemned…hopefully of the just.

  17. # 42 AMEN. May God console the bereaved family and the country at large. Thank you RB for according the man a state funeral.

  18. What is wrong with Zambia today. Just because we State funeral for Mwanawasa ( RIP) it does not mean anyone who has been in government get a state funeral we are losing the meaNING OF STATE FUNERAL. Its loosing its significance. thats just crayz. My condolences to the family. RB

  19. From January next to December someone should keep a tag on days off work in Zambia for national hollidays and events like national mourning caliberate it into lost national earning power.Individual times we sneak off work to go for funerals?huge time wastage, for a poor country its a culture we must swiftly scrutinise tears aside. And must begin at presidential level if we are to develop. The countries that give us donor money do not behave wastefully like us,they respect work.We are slowly gravitating into a perpetual mourning nation something has to be done. With all respect to Emmanuel Kasonde he was a hard worker and MHSRIP,condolences to his family too.

  20. If the mother to late Mwanawasa could get a state funeral why not a former freedom fighter and minister. By the way how old was he and what did he die from. Should we conclude that since his wife was the first to die then Kasonde has died from YOBO. I hear he was a womanise like the late Bulawayo

  21. #52 mulale mumutende mukwai, Do you think he can hear you now. Bushe ni ksonde, kaswende or Kasonde? F.o…lish

  22. i personally knew the late emmanuel kasonde. he was my best friend’s uncle. he was a downright good man. haeven has just gained one more angel.

  23. LT what makes you have the notion that all bloggers and visitors of your site are christians? Why christianising the site? You don’t want people who belong to other religions to visit or blog your site?Iam christian but i’ve well educated friends who are not christians who express misgiving over site because of your crusader kind of attitude.Do not make your site religeous but make free to all people of different religeous belongings to meet here and contribute in the spirit of brotherhood.

#53/54, Iyo mulimbata. Learn to have manners and respect for elderly people. If you are told like now that your dad was iule and that your married you dad from the tarvern where she was a waitress and you must know that the twelve children from her womb has a surname each you being the last born. If you only knew how prayerful that man was. When he was at the farm in Malole and praying he never wanted to be disturbed as a result he bought an ambulance and a van to assist the surrounding villagers in times of calamity for them to use only to be told after finishing his prayers that somene got sick, ambulance has taken him/her to hospital and many more. #53/54 mwe mbushi mwe.:d

  25. Find out why Zambia, are any other countries in Africa have dwindling dreams in developmental Issues! In Condon where you are, busy wiping old men’s ass* S, how many people have been accorded state funerals! And if at all they did, it never meant total zero production. you don’t even hear about them.

#59, how educated is chief mukuni compared to chief Nzamane. Dont brag for nothing be real. talk issues not nonsense. Even from the three contestants the easterner Economist is more educated than the kaponya and kaja kang’ombe inclusive of Halt.|-)

  27. # 62 goes for # 41, Londoner, Ass-wiper. By the way, old people Shirt even on holidays. so no holiday for You “us whole”.

  28. sad that we have lost a soul but for the state funeral i dont agree . how many other freedom fighters or pipo that have contributed abundantly to the interests of the nation but have not been accorded a state funeral ? maybe wat goes with a state funeral ? is it wholly funded by govt . those that have more shall be given more and for the poor even the little that you have shall be taken away . [-(

  29. #24, point of correction, Mr Kasonde remarried after his wife. He got a wife from the village a young wife at that. Infact she is a typical villager not even like our little Thandi. The woman has been good to him

  30. #61 You are the mbuzi, if you know him well as you proclaim tell us what he died from. Simple question is after a short or long illness?
    The truth pains

  31. #65 I totally agree with you. My suggestion is that we exeume bodies of all ministers and freedoms fighters who were not accorded a state funeral when they died, and then reburry them under a state funeral with each one of them having a day of National mourning, as we owe them this. This will be fair

  32. **==**==

Ka #69, am sure you are just one of those lucky street kids. Dont you know that every disease that exists will either be short or long illness after one dies, going by how long the person suffered from that illness. Hey be your age. Nkumba-muntu.:p:p:d

  33. Goodmorning bloggers. I think I’ve been too long away from home because I can’t even remember the deceased. Anyhow, the name sounds familiar and I join my voice in condolensce with the nation.

  34. MY FATHER WORKED FOR THE MINES UNDERGROUND FOR 34 YEARS. WHEN HE RETIRED IN THOSE DAY HE WENT TO SETTLE IN MULENGA SHANTY COMPOUND AS THE BENEFITS COULD NOT AFFORD HIM A HOUSE IN ANY DECENT AREAS OF KITWE. TO ME THAT WAS SERVICE TO THE NATION OF THE BEST KIND.
HE WAS NOT GIVEN A STATE FUNERAL AND THE FACT THAT HE DIED 2 YEARS AFTER THE SERVICE FROM THE MINES I THINK AND REALISE THAT HE DESERVED A STATE FUNERAL. NOW THAT NYAMA SOYA APPRECIATES THE SERVICE OF ALL THOSE WHO SERVED THE COUNTRY, I WILL LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN TO HAVE HIM EXHUMED FROM CHAMBOLI CEMETERY AND GIVEN A STATE FUNERAL. HE SERVED THE NATION BY NOT STEALING NOT EVEN A NAIL DURING HIS SERVICE.

  35. Mr. Kasonde 73years, died of suspected Cardiac Fuilure (Heart Attack) while being taken to Lusaka Trust Hospital on Friday Morning.

Mr. Kasonde’s first wife died years ago, before Chiluba Government. He remarried and nothing is wrong with that. The second wife being a villager or not is not an issue, they have lived together for many years in in Lusaka – Kasama Village

#64,Idi Your Tea…Niwe kalume sana, your ass stinks with puu. You think everyone here wipes bum!! Ulicipuba sana. Grow up Koswe!!

  36. PRESIDENT Banda has revealed that Luanshya Copper Mines (LCM) will soon be placed under care and maintenance although the company is not threatened with closure.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE….NOT THREATENED WITH CLOSURE.

everyone is entitled to their own oppinion but my uncle truely was a great man…. R.I.P Uncle Emmanuel.. x x x

  40. Mr Kasonde deserves a State funeral. Why was former Zambia Army Commander, General Kalenge not granted a state burial? Double standards and biases?
