Sata urged to reconcile with rebel MPs

Share

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has called on the opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata, to reconcile with his ‘rebel’ Members of Parliament in order to avoid massive bye-elections in the country.

Commenting on Mr. Sata’s statement that the country should brace itself for massive bye-elections,

FODEP president, Stanely Mhango said in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, that it will be a waste of money and other resources for the country to hold these bye-elections.

Mr. Mhango said with the current global financial problems that have hit the country, it will be bad for the PF to expel its MPs and consequently lead to bye- elections.
He added that the country would need over K80 billion to hold the over 15 parliamentary by-elections.

Mr. Mhango said Mr. Sata, as an advocate of decent life for all people, should look at the cost of having such bye-election.

He said holding these bye-elections will negatively impact on the country’s economy especially that Zambia was already facing financial challenges.

He has instead asked the PF to embrace dialogue and reconciliation, noting that expelling the MPs will not be the answer to the problem.

Mr. Mhango said parties should embrace and strengthen intra-party dialogue rather than resorting to expulsions every time they were faced with a problem.

Meanwhile, the Southern African Centre for Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) said even though it was justifiable for the PF to expel the MPs, it should however dialogue and a find a solution to the problem among its members.

SACCORD Executive Director, Lee Habasonda, said the PF should reconcile with the MPs for the sake of unity and democracy in the party.

Mr. Habasonda however called on all politicians to respect the rule of law and abide by their party laws to avoid unnecessary tensions.

  1. There is no basis for PF to expel these people. They have done nothing wrong. Call a convention, adopt a constitution and disciplinary procedures agreed by all and then run the party with a geniuine membership and not stooges. If one argues with the dictator SATA, they say, expel him. Can you live like that even in your father’s house? In short SATA is PF and PF is SATA, whatever he says is what happens. You make me laugh, in this day and era, you are still stifling your own rights. Even KK was much better than SATA and yet he presided over a one party system.

  2. Those chaps don’t deserve to be PF. They don’t stand for PF. They only care about being MPs. They refused to campaign for their own president during the last election so what’s their purpose in PF? Bye elections please, boot them out and work with people that stand with you.

  3. These so-called PF MPs probably do not agree with the ideals of their party but joined the bandwagon because they were guaranteed to carry the day. One would have thought that enough lessons were learnt from the saga involving the former mayor of Lusaka.

Though I sympathise with PFs position, the request made to Mr Sata makes a lot of sense and should not fall on deaf ears. We cannot continue to be held to ransom by selfish jobseekers who have failed to succeed in other walks of life.

  4. Mr.M’hango, please stop poking his nose into other people’s business. think of how you are going spend Xmas together with your family.

  5. #8, #9, are you telling there are no party procedures in PF? Is SATA the party and what happens if he dies today?

  6. ba sata,we appreciate you as an opposition leader but m’dala dont always be negative.whats happening in zambia is global…prices of things are high and they are massive job cuts.i’m sure if u were president today u would have faced the same problems….ideas and not sadism.

  7. Does PF have membership cards? Who is in the governing executive body of PF? Can a PF body without membership of the PF party have any right to expel a PF MP who doesnt have membership in the PF party?
On another note, this is a test the MMD has given in the nads of PF’s Sata who has been talking much to bring him on a defense as to whether the character Undereducate, Mr MC Sata, really means what he says in advising the current MMD GRZ to reduce on spending.
However, let the U-Team prepare invitationletters to those who will be expelled to join the UPND and stand on its ticket in their respective constituencies for we need to win those sits with the combined UPND voters and those MPs’.

  8. the advice from fodep is wise…we as a country dont have a lot of resources for politics…u had your chance and now now its time to save the limited funds for the looming food crisis.sata be real.

  9. 12. Maestro Hhehhehhehhe continued.

This is a time to see whether the Undereducate loves Zambia or he is just trying to appear in his Imagebuilders’ Newspaper headlines daily daily.

The only thing I like about the possible elections is that the hungry people in those constituencies will have some food in the time for by-elections.

I wish each and every Zambian a pleasant festive season.

As I am not a member of PF, I am not in a position to tell you whether or not laid down procedures exist within the party. Your guess is as good as mine. On the question of whether PF is synonymous with Sata; the answer is a resounding yes. PF operates on a flawed model which assumes that the goodwill generated by its leader is enough to galvanise and propel the party to greatness. Conscious of this fact, the MPs joined PF because they know how popular the party is in some parts of the country. Its a no-brainer that a PF candidate in say, Mandevu constituency will always carry the day. For them, its all about salaries, allowances, flash cars and gratuity.

  11. #18, mukashala babili na bashimulenga nga muleyangala. People are all preparing to work with me from Lusaka to CB and Eastern to Western. And by the time I settle on the ground I am sure even Southern will be on board.

  12. MICROLINK, a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) has pegged its monthly billing in US dollars with effect from January 2009 becoming the second ISP to peg its billing to the US dollars. This follows the announcement by Zamnet last week.

And CopperNET has increased its monthly fees for next year by 20 Per cent.

NOW I KNOW WHY GOLYATI STOPPED BLOGGING.

  13. Ba sata balifye bwino.sata pls fire the mps.they shudnt advise u that u shudnt fire.those are useless mps.by election the only answer.let us see the fight betwin mmd and pf. Comments are welcome

  14. The PF has a constitution in place. The party should simply follow what the constitution says about breaking a particular rule. If it says expulsion, then they must go.

  15. 22. Rogue Trader, you wrote, “When are you off to the North Pole?”

I do not know for I currently have nothing to do there. As a matter of fact, the Credit Crunch has hit me bad and i can not afford to be playing around with money. To this end, I have introduced fiscal measures for next year to help me cope with the meltdown.

I am concentrating on trying to open an IT company in Zambia with cheap computers from China or India, through friends from those countries, so that we can take information to many Zambians as an education serves as we near 2011 election time. I hope to employ a few characters who are fast losing jobs from the mines and elsewhere throught this initiative.

  16. I agree with sata . Those MP”s add no value to PF.After all they campaigned for RB.Ba Sata please expel them.We dont need ba mu selela kwakaba.

  17. 27. Maestro Hhehhehhehhe continued.
This is not a time for me to go on holiday, but to see to it that my fellow Zambians at home have food on their tables and jobs so that they can vote wisely for the U-Team,=;,in 2011.
I have also proposed that the MMD GRZ must as the IAEA to help us get the clearance to mine and use the Uranium in the Southern province immediately. This will help provide jobs to our people especially those who are losing them rapidly in the Copperbelt as they have experience in mining. Also, more electricity will generated through Nuclear Power Stations placed in strategic provinces of our country for domestic and export use to strengthen our ailing economy with GDP.

  18. it is not only iron fist which makes one wise it is the dispeasation of issue like this one.is it in the interest of he public or personal pride.i feei if i was sata i would nt expel these people because they are not thieves like others you and me knows who brought this country almost at its knees.

  19. #27 and 29 Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

Sounds really good. I’m sure you’ll do well. Zambia needs more entrepreneurs and educated people like yourself.

    Have a lovely Christmas mate

  20. Please Sata no mercy chase them all these selfish MPs. Let them go to MMD if they want. Plz expel them! They are useless. If they had compaigned u wud have won the elections. CHASE THEM PLZ!

  21. response to true democrat who wants to know if Sata is PF. I really do not understand your true democracy. Democracy is not lawlessness and insurbodination to the society you belong. PF is a party just as the ECZ which agreed well before that they will not participate in the NCC. These MPs knew and know that not Sata but the party. It is for this reason that they breeched the by law of the party. instead of coming back as Chishimba has done they want to justify their wrongs. it is here where wise bloggers are saying it is the MPs to seek forgiveness. cont

  22. 31. Rogue Trader thanks my friend. I will always try my best for mother Zambia as opposed to rantings and shouting like a loud speaker without offering REAL SOLUTIONS to the suffering Zambian masses.

This challenge of a better Zambia is supposed to be for all of us Zambians, but alas others on here are bent on insulting us the Tonga people.

Anyhow, we will continue to do what we can for our great Nation Zambia **==. #:-s.

  23. secondly Mr true democrat. it is like you have no idea why PF and others opted to stand against the NCC. Remember the issue was between the Constitution Comission and what to do with the report. it was argued that we go for a referendum instead of the NCC as ameans of adopting the report. because it was a duplication of work. besides other commissions in the passed had worked out everything. The arrogance of LPM and his minions opted to go against the masses. hence the trouble. but pf being for what it stands for which the minimizing th cost effects together with other bodies that value common man and his welfare opted to withdraw and decline to join the NCC. but scruplus MPs cont

  24. decided to join which we can say their going in borders on three things. First they belonged to a party they never understood what it stands for which sacrifice for the poor. 2. they did not wish to stand up for the difference dispite being aware that PF said no 3. many of them as you have heard were mislead by some MPs especially from laupula who came in with the intention to usurp PF and reconstruct PUND under Chiluba as president. But despite the misconception there is also an element of selfish interest in most of these MPs. which was to benefit from the money. it is from this reason i truely belive that anyone in the NCC is more interested in the money than delivery hence the delay.

  25. #37,24k. Do you want me hide my proposal to alleviate Zambia from our curent economic crises?

Thanks for wishing me a happy holiday though I will not take one as I am working hard for Zambians and Zambia. :d

  26. “United Party for National Development-UPND-Leader Hakainde Hichilema has written a letter to Republican President Rupiah Banda on possible solutions to the current Economic Crisis.
Mr. Hichilema says the current Economic situation needs concerted efforts from the Opposition and other stake holders.
Mr. Hichilema further says President Rupiah Banda has failed to run the country due to the many fake promises he made during campaigns.
He has also predicted that the situation in the country is likely to worsen unless something is done urgently.”

This is how intelligent minds must operate for the benefit of all Zambians.

  27. Ma labish it is the rebel MPs who are wasting time and money. Ma MPs banasiya nchito chabe, kulibe kubwelela…

  28. 41. Na K, thanks for this “Fire them uncle. On a serious note Mr Sata is my uncle am not joking” data my friend.

    Just to inform you also:

Vernon J. Mwaanga, who is in the MMD l-), is my distant UNCLE, but I opt to support president HH who is not my relative because the U-Team =; holds a manifesto with a real development agenda for Zambia and all Zambians. I am not joking my friends.

Enjoy yourselves you all, Mugungulu H. Mwaanga (Space Physicist).

  29. #44 Ba Maestro are you going to set up a Space Physics business pa Zed and give people jobs? Happy Christmas bro…

  30. Me as Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, “Commenting on Mr. Sata’s statement that the country should brace itself for massive bye-elections,” please the Undereducate, expel them your ‘rebel’ MPs immediately so that they can join us in the U-Team – a political party with a friendly atmosphere for doing normal National business.
I am looking forward to proving that you the Undereducate, Micheal Chilufya Sata, have not been serious on your words about the current President RB Banda Administration to reduce on GRZ expenditure to allow us as a coountry to cushion the National Econimic Crises that we are facing due to to your initial MISMANAGEMENT as Minister Without Portifolio in the Chiluba MMD Admin.

  31. #36, BIg SIKOPO – Be reminded that PF Mps supported the NCC bill in parliament and approved the document which states that every MP shall sit on NCC as they are part of the legislature. There were two options, resign as MP if you do not want to sit on NCC. No one resigned but these rebel MPs saw the dictatorship without reason in Sata and they defied him. Perfectly logical. The speaker will decide how it all ends up and am very sure the rebels will prevail on this one. SATA is not an MP so he can not dictate what happens in parliament. He should his chief whip if he is a democratic person. No logic bamudala balya!!!

  32. 46. Sony Ericsson Phiri thanks. I will also try to set up a “Maestro … Space Physics business pa Zed and give people jobs” since there is potential of tele-education, tele-medicine, tele-helathy and remote sensing to help in town and country planning and resettlement schemes of various interest groups using satellite technology.

So, brace yourself for more of me in the near future as I strategise for Plot One in 2016, by God’s grace.

    Enjoy yourself too.

  33. Sata started PF alone with Guy Scott. What have the likes of Michael Nyirenda, Barnabas Chellah Mwansa Chimbaka,Hanson Simama and the rest done in their respective constituencies that would make people vote for them. Faustina Sinyangwe can never win an election in Matero. All these rode on Sata’s popularity. If they wish let them join any political party and contest the bye-elections. They will learn the same lesson Chimumbwa learnt. They defied Sata bcoz FTJ sponsored them. Now that FTJ has gone back to MMD, they are stranded. Even the US$5,000 he promised each one of them for campaigns is gone! As for UPND, is it shameful that the party continues to shrink since Andy’s death? What has

  34. the boy HH done to prove that he is a good organisor? Mazoka left a far much stronger UPND,now it is a distant third. The boy with his degrees has failed lamentably. The earlier he is shown the door, the better. Now he has resolted to expelling members. It is a sign of weakness to expel opponents. Mazoka never expelled any body, not even those accused of having given him a poisoned guinea fowl. Shame on you Maestro

  35. 47.You economical refugee.Keep you mouth shut because you are not on the ground to see whats happening here on the ground.Dont call somebody is naturally wise.Separate acquired knowledge and wisdom.Wisdom makes a good leader and multiplies wealth, keeps families even where you the so called educated is just squatting in a one room with no access to gardening your own vegetables. You are called all sorts of derogatory names and its okay with you.
Whoever you are learn to respect the moderately and you the so called educated people.

  36. 51. Drosophilia, you ranted “What has… HH done to prove that he is a good organisor? Mazoka left a far much stronger UPND,now it is a distant third. The boy with his degrees has failed lamentably. The earlier he is shown the door, the better. Now he has resolted to expelling members. It is a sign of weakness to expel opponents. Mazoka never expelled any body, not even those accused of having given him a poisoned guinea fowl. Shame on you Maestro”
Firstly, president HH has won more votes than late Mazoka in Luapula, Northern, Copperbelt and Eastern Provinces according to ECZ records. Secondly, Mazoka left a stronger UPND, but embittered selfish people like Saki left UPND after losing.

  37. #47.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

You seem to be so much obssessed with your party UPND. Just from the way present your ideas, one can read between the lines. I believe you are educated from UNZA, so learn from previous mistakes made by your colleagues at UNZA & everywhere when MAZOKA was in a powerful position to be Republican President. “There’s a saying that he who treads softly, goes far”. The point of this discussion to expel the rebel MP as they committed a crime which is punishable, and there’s no appeal to that judgment! There are always rules & ethics which have to be followed in any setting.

  38. #53 Maestro Hh. continued.

Late Mazoka when he was UPND president called on those that left MMD in 2001 out of bitterness to join the UPND,but they refused. This is why they are still in the opposition as FDD,HP and PF or Sata – whichever fits this disorganised congregation of Poor Finishers.Had they listened to the great Tonga bull late Mazoka, there story would have been different. Now that PF is disbanding due to arrogance by the Undereducate,MC Sata, they UPND has to reclaim some of the well-meaning MPs so that together we form U-Team GRZ in 2011.So,the UPND must not hesistate to offer the ‘rebel’ PFs letters to freely join it soonest for Luapula and Northern Prov. votes are vital 4 2011.

  39. The only way the mines can be sustained is to cut on taxes on major inputs ie promote rail haulage of spares and final product, exempt customs duty and vat on Diesel,Heavy Fuel Oil,reduce the tariff on electricity for mines and rebate all spares and machinery used on the mines.
Yes the govt will suffer tax loses but better let mines breakeven to suppport employment. After all the workers will pay in direct taxes through consumption and PAYE.Indirect jobs will also be sustained-contractors.
Any politician s priority is protect jobs even if it means reducing govt expenditure on hefty fuel, phone, school, seminar costs

  40. 54. Geologist, Canada; you wrote, “The point of this discussion to expel the rebel MP as they committed a crime which is punishable, and there’s no appeal to that judgment,” but the title of thread records “Sata urged to reconcile with rebel MPs”. The content of the news reads “The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has called on the opposition Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata, to reconcile with his ‘rebel’ Members of Parliament in order to avoid massive bye-elections in the country.”

So, did you fail to understand what is in the news or you are serious about what you are writing to me based of emotions? I am waiting for your answer!

  41. #50.Drosophilia

You are one of the blessed few who can read the writings on the white wall written in white inc. An example has to be set so that would be MPs are always aware that they represent the working of their party and not selfish motives. And I know that right now, some of these MPs are even trembling knowing that they are finished. Money or no money bye-elections should go on, and not the nonsense put across by selfish individuals who are advocating forgoing bye-elections. Politics is not cheap, so if people want to defend wrong things let them propose their points to be put in the Zambian constitution. As it is We have rules that have to be upheld.

  42. The Boy HH engineered the expulsion of Kahenya on suspicion that he was campaigning to challenge him. He even played an audio tape purported to be schemings of Kahenya. PF rebels went against their Party stand on the NCC. Even Prof. Hansungule has agreed that it is indeed a waste of money to convene the NCC only to come up with yet another report to be subjected to another fora for scrutiny. The illiterate Sata saw all this long ago. The boy is yet to grasp what is going on! Dr. Beyani explains the UPND manifesto better than the boy. So the boy is the cause for the down fall of UPND. Who cheated you that Andy got less votes in those areas than the boy? Have you examined

  43. 52. Taxpayer greetings. This your “47.You economical refugee.Keep you mouth shut because you are not on the ground to see whats happening here on the ground.Dont call somebody is naturally wise.Separate acquired knowledge and wisdom” perception appears to be misplaced or overzealous in nature due to emotions!

I am offering workable and practical solutions which countries like India have used to expand their economies and now you are busy trying to find fault in my wise contribution to Zambia. Get this straight, I am too advanced in knowledge to be erased from the big picture on this blog by such persons of your calibre. Just acknowledge that I have beat you on knowledge clean game.

  44. #57.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
UPND or MMD was not mentioned in the article, so let us not talk of things that are out of context. In an exam, one has to answer questions & not start narrating a story or else people fail the exam. So, let us discuss the selfishness of those rebel MPs who should be disciplined at all cost.

  45. the number of registered voters, those that actually voter then and now? The boy went into the election alone. No wonder someone is talking about disciplining those MPs that didn’t accompany the boy on his campaign trail. But how many MPs supported him apart from Kangwa? even Mapatizya formula only issued one statement the entire campaign period! Is this the lead you can defend, Maestro?

  46. 59. Drosophilia, you wrote ” Who cheated you that Andy got less votes in those areas than the boy? Have you examined” and my response is that records are available! Late Mazoka won in 5 provinces namely Central, Lusaka, Northwestern, Southern and Western Provinces.

Mazoka was clearly beaten in Copperbelt by late Mwanawasa, those FDD people, and even Godfrey Miyanda, if I remember correctly. Late Mazoka also lost in Eastern Province to the FDD and UNIP including the MMD. Late Mazoka’s performance in Luapula and Northern Provinces was even a total shame for numbers were as low as 0% on rounding up figures.

Now that, you call president HH a ” Boy HH”, I will refer to you as a Mudaala.

  47. Why are some bloggers blaming Sata. He never asked for this status of affairs, the rebles with LPM encouraging them have brought us to this situation – Indeed, let there be By-Elections!! People should learn to respect ceratin principles & should be principled enough to stand by their actions & not cry foul when things go awry – they are not kids who didn’t know what they were doing – Saying sorry is not enough, infact if the hope for any forgiveness, they should get down on all fours, crawl up to King Cobra & kiss his feet!

  48. Geologist58, I agree with you. The rebel MPs are fighting for themselves. Once expelled, some will never enter parliament again. They are worried how they pay what they now owe. Some have debts beyond their capacity to pay! Their prayer is to remain in the house till gratuity comes. Any premature exit ia as good as a death penalty

  49. #59.Drosophilia

I totally agree with you, but it seems some people can not see beyond the nose, which is very dangerous. Not until we have massive changes to the we perceive things, there will be leadership crisis as the ones we have are contaminated with Stinking thinking.

  50. 61. Geologist, Canada; you wrote, “#57.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe
UPND or MMD was not mentioned in the article, so let us not talk of things that are out of context.” So what? Ain’t UPND and MMD stakeholders in possible by-elections?

Who has failed according to you on “In an exam, one has to answer questions & not start narrating a story or else people fail the exam” between me and you?

FODEP and SACCORD mentioned in the news above a stakeholders just like UPND and MMD in this topic. By the way, I have not limited you from blogging on ‘let us discuss the selfishness of those rebel MPs who should be disciplined at all cost’ as it is your personal choice.Avoid being emotional!

  51. This is projected impact of the mining crisis in Zambia.
=about 5000 direct jobs will be lost
=about 8000 contractor jobs will be lost
=about 1600 driver, mates will lost
=Zesco will lose about 380 billion monthly in revenue and load shedding will end
=most banks who lent money personally to the mining employees might write off bad debts,so the will scale down branches next year
=the govt revenue from direct taxes ie mineral royalty, direct taxes loses will be incurred
=the ecomony asa whole is supported by tourism will shrink by 70% and exchange by june next will per US Dollar be 7800.Mind you this is a recession, its not the due to bad policies of the 80s,so its everyone involvement

  52. But did the boy win a single constituent in Luapula? Remember the issue of exaggerated voter turnout? What were the grounds for that petition? HH can’t petition coz he lost hands down. Even the ruling in that petition left us wondering. Mazoka’s evidence was so overwhelming. The evidence was provided by people who supported him, even in places where he performed badly. Isn’t there a lesson for you and your presdo here to learn?

  53. 62. ‘Mudaala’ Drosophilia, you asked ” But how many MPs supported him apart from Kangwa? even Mapatizya formula only issued one statement the entire campaign period! Is this the lead you can defend, Maestro?”

My answer is that many UPND MPs accompanied president HH including Shakalima Douglas. The rest were performing constituent compaigns or attending to potential querries and contentious issues in Lusaka e.g. Kahenya.

On is that the lead you can defend, I write a resounding YES, Mudaala Drosophilia.

  54. Bye elections are a must. In fact the court should have even awarded costs. It is so digusting to how people change! Some of these rebels some people are now defending were nobodys. Now they are kings at slaughtering women, Shakas way. Am off

  55. #64.Bauze

Spot on.What we need is an MP who is going to challenge the way the Govt is working in the wrong direction by not saving the people who put them their. The norm should be: “In a democratic Country like Zambia, when we vote a man in, he must run on a certain campaign platform, and if after winning he goes against everything ran on, then democracy must demand that he be thrown out of parliament and/or state house”! Sanity will come back, and people will weigh on the pros & cons before venturing into politics! Politics is not a career, but a service to the people of Zambia.

  56. No reconciliations with rebel MP’s please. Viva Pabwatooooooooooooo, lets go for bye election so the rebel MP’s test their popularity. Viva Hon SATA, Viva PF, Why are they buying time now they thought they are popular lets go for elections 99% will never enter parliament again like faustina, elizabeth chitika and machungwa, not in matero and riverpool luapula

  57. #69.Drosophilia

Since Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, seems to be out of touch with his Party, try to impart some sense into him. No offense, but he needs to have an open mind rather than bury all thinking in a none performing group of politicians.

  58. 69. Drosophilia. You asked:
But did the boy win a single constituent in Luapula? ans.: HH didn’t win a sit but his vote numbers were afr much better than what late Mazoka got.
Remember the issue of exaggerated voter turnout? Ans.: Please erabolate, which one?
What were the grounds for that petition? Ans.: Please erabolate, which one?
HH can’t petition coz he lost hands down. Even the ruling in that petition left us wondering. Mazoka’s evidence was so overwhelming. The evidence was provided by people who supported him, even in places where he performed badly. Isn’t there a lesson for you and your presdo here to learn? Ans.: Did I somewhere indicate anything to the contrary of this?

  59. 74. Geologist, Canada; just answer my questions to you instead of trying to deviate from what you started baba!

You wrote, “Since Maestro Hhehhehhehhe, seems to be out of touch with his Party,” and now I ask you which Party do I have membership in?

I have from time-to-time informed all on this blog that I never vote for late Mazoka or even president HH in my life time, but I am now convinced that president HH and the might UPND have the best vision and manifesto for Zambians and Zambia. This fact does not make me a UPND members because I do not hva a UPND Mambership card. Get this fact in your seemingly thick head towards education of reality.

  60. 71. ‘Mudaala’ Drosophilia, I am for by-elections too just like you have written “Bye elections are a must.”

As the by-elections are a must, I am asking the UPND to seize this opportunity to improve its membership in Parliament by inviting those ‘rebel’ PF MPs tp join them just late Mazoka invited the Undereduacte Sata and the remaining 22 or so MMD expelled members in 2001 so that the U-Team’s performance and inclusiveness can begin to improve as we near 2011 tripatite’ elections. After all, Lusaka Province initially belonged to the UPND as an opposition party with MPs like Lubinda who were in there but defeated to PF. So,the UPND must reclaim Lusaka and make head way into Luapula also.

  61. #76.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

It’s sad that you are seeing the vision now and not when Andy was there. Andy had a vision, and not your HH. He’s a failure, and you wouldn’t expect a politician to utter statements saying, when I win, I’ll not accept a salary, I’ll pay civil servants a minimum of K3.5 Mil, when you have not seen the money. That is pure fantasy, and yet you believe in this Boy!

  62. PF has actually grown stronger from Lusaka down south to Kafue via Chibombo,Katuba and eastward to Luangwa,Rufunsa,Chalimbana and here in Chongwe.
In in Kwa Livingstone,Kwa Mongu,PF is still a force. So the best HH can do is sort out a few die-hard MPs who control him. After all his a leader, he needs to direct his members whether in a ditch or not but not the other way round. He can just listen to their advice but he has obligation to take it.I think from my unudecated position thats what adminstation demands.Look at Levy,he believed in what did, many times he overruled his cabinet and thats how we had I digit inflation figure. So let HH take a leaf from the wise Sata.He is still young.

  63. #76.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

When you start seeing people getting annoyed then you know that they’ve run out of ideas because they have gone all this time discussing absolutely nothing! Rule number one: Never show your anger as you are just insulting your intelligence if at all it’s still there. Rule number two: Tell nothing of yourself. Rule number three: Respect other people

  64. 78. Geologist, Canada; I appreciate you opinion, but please see if you could appreciate mine.

Your “It’s sad that you are seeing the vision now and not when Andy was there. Andy had a vision, and not your HH,” is not true to me, so learn to understand that we differ in the way we look at issues. I truly believe that late Mazoka fail Zambia and and the UPND. That quater rotation system of NMC office bearers he introduced is what has cause the UPND to be seen as a tribal party and nothing more or less. You may argue with me on this one, but late Mazoka failed which entails that he was not a good leader hence president HH’s struggle now to bring back UPND on the map.

Democracy in the UPND is what is needed regardless of where any UPND presidential apirant comes from. This is where late Mazoka failed. Late LP Mwanawasa also failed us by using appeasement appointments just to please Chief Mpezeni who he probably promised that the Veep position will go to Eastern Province should he win Eastern province votes.

  66. Am praying very hard that the MPs affected should appeal to the supreme court and the case to drag on until june 2011. So that we do not spend huge amounts on bye elections. our priority is to stabilize our economy and not politics. Sata should expels all MPs who voted for the salary increments too!!! abash double standards

While late Mazoka failed Zambians and the UPND in the above score, he however, came up with the best manisfesto as a U-TEAM with a develpoment agenda for all Zambians and Zambia which is still in the hands of president Hakainde Hichilema’s U-Team today of which former Minister NP Magande tried to copy as he brought sanity to the late Mwanawasa led Zed economy.

  68. 83. true zambian, they ‘rebel’ MPs have already appealed to the Supreme Court. Here is the data:

    “Hold on, MPs tell Sata
Embattled Patriotic Front (PF) members of Parliament (MPs) have applied for a stay of the High Court ruling, which dismissed an interim injunction order against their expulsion from the party.
On Monday, High Court Judge Gregory Phiri dismissed an interim injunction against the PF by the MPs who were challenging their expulsion from the party on grounds that they had not sufficiently shown what irreparable injury would occur if withdrawn from the National Constitutional Conference (NCC).

The MPs include Elizabeth Chitika for Kawambwa constituency, Ernest Mwansa for Chifunabuli and Peter Machungwa for Luapula.
Others are Joseph Kasongo for Bangweulu, Violet Sampa-Bredt for Chawama and Faustina Sinyangwe for Matero. In the dismissed interim injunction, the MPs were seeking that PF leader Michael Sata and secretary general Edward Mumbi be restrained from expelling them or interfering with their rights as MPs.
They also argued that they were formally appointed to the NCC, which they regarded as a continuation process from Parliament where they enacted the NCC Act as part of their civic duty.

  70. PF writes to the speaker
The Patriotic Front-PF has asked the speaker of the national assembly Amussa Mwanamwambwa to declare 16 parliamentary seats for PF rebel MP’s vacant.

This follows the High Court decision on Monday to dismiss the injunction by the affected MP’s restraining the party from expelling them.

Don’t confuse things here! If HH is really having UPND at his heart, then he needs to have room to appreciate what other people have to offer. See things from this angle: Nawakwi supported him to stand & he failed lamentably, and this time around he should have supported SATA for a change, but that never happened & results showed that SATA is more popular than HH. The bottomline is greedness on the part of HH & SATA, so who are they claiming to be saving? People of ZAMBIA? These are heartless chaps that just want to be in state house at all costs, but selfish since they want to have everything to themselves. SO HH is very selfish, so is SATA.

  73. 90. Geologist, Canada, you wrote “Don’t confuse things here! If HH is really having UPND at his heart, then he needs to have room to appreciate what other people have to offer.” But what am I trying to get into you head all this time?

Haven’t I said that the ‘rebel’ PF MPs are welcome to join the UPND? Who is beating about the bush between you and me here?

  74. 90. Geologist, Canada; you wrote “Nawakwi supported him to stand & he failed lamentably, and this time around he should have supported SATA for a change, but that never happened & results showed that SATA is more popular than HH.”

I hope you are serious. Did you ever see Nawakwi campaigning anyway for HH in the 2006 elections? Atleast, Tiliyenji Kaunda went with president HH to Eastern Province!

On the Undereducate, Sata, president HH can not support such a flip-flop who behaves like a chameleon changing coluors and positions each day that passes especially also that Sata is a Grade 4 – 6 school drop out! Find a better person to work with within PF and not that Sata undereducate.

  75. #91.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

Those MPs are not behaving in that manner because they want to join UPND. These were convinced be unruly by LPM & not HH, so don’t expect them to come to UPND. If they stand on their ticket they know that they’ll lose with flying colours. If they knew that it was easy to win with any other party apart from PF, they would have welcomed the decision to expel them, but they know that PF will carry the day!

  76. The Undereducate believes in doing things the colonial days’ way while president HH believes in alternative government using channels that are normal. This fact is what can not bring the 2 HH and Sata together.
HH can be controlled while Sata thinks he must discipline everyone using his insulting language. And so, president HH can’t work with such an individual as his boss. However, Sata is welcome to support HH for HH can easily be controlled as he appreciates dialogue. Look at the way president HH resolved his problems with women and Joyce Nonde in 2006. This is how trusted people work, not someone with a record of firing withone and harrassing that one when he was Minister. KK said,…

  77. #92.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

The same SATA you are calling undereducated, beat this boy twice! Nawakwi stood on the podium announcing support for the boy where they held hands. That was good enough to get some votes she was not standing. Do you agree that SATA has beaten this HH boy of yours twice?

  78. Maestro fimofimo, what time do you work on your space rockets? Chill, this is a blog site not a advertising board for UPND. You are even posting HH propaganda in the sports section. Na upena?????

  79. KK said, Sata can work well under someone as a Minister but never as a President! You can not risk to give Sata the Zambian Presidency even for one single second PERIOD. The man is a menace to socitey! Supper Kenny with all his wisdome even went on to say that elect Sata as Zambian President at your own peril. This is the truth of the matter.

The Ubndereducate Sata is simply not presidential material PERIOD However, he can support president HH for presidency without a problem and he may be considered for prime Minister in a Unity Government.

  80. 95. Geologist, Canada; yopu wrote “The same SATA you are calling undereducated, beat this boy twice!”
I call Sata as an or the Undereducate because this is a FACT!

  81. 95. Geologist, Canada; you wrote “Nawakwi stood on the podium announcing support for the boy where they held hands. That was good enough to get some votes she was not standing.” Whether this was good enough or not, the fact is Nawakwi never went with president HH to campaign in Nakonde or anywhere else in Northern or Luapula Provinces. The picture you might be referring to was shown in the POST Newspaper. Didn’t HH and Sata even hug each other at a rally near Kafue round about on one saturday when they campaigned over salary emoluments of constitutional workers?

On “Do you agree that SATA has beaten this HH boy of yours twice?” Why must I disagree as this is a fact!

  82. #94.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe,

To be educated does not mean you having completed University, since there are people who are more intelligent than those who have been to school. Even someone who has never had a chance of progressing very far in education can rule Zambia as long as he has good advisers! The problem is that these politicians think they know it all because they went to school. Advisers are supposed to be brainstorming on what measures should be done to improve the economy, and not being bootlickers.

  83. 90. Geologist, Canada; you wrote “The bottomline is greedness on the part of HH & SATA, so who are they claiming to be saving?”
Is it saving or serving? Anyway, the question must be whom is Sata serving for Sata is an Undereducate who is not presidential material as espoused in some of my above comments.

On “People of ZAMBIA?” President HH is serving people or Zambia YES, but Sata isn’t. The man must apologise to all of us for doing us all disservice when he worked under Chiluba as Minister Without Portifolio and also for supporting the ill-conceived 3rd Term of Presidential Office for Chiluba. Only then, shall I start to respect ba-shikulu MC Sata as a genuine politician.

  84. 102 you are right, a good leader puts the right people in the right positions, makes people around him better and holds them accountable. You don’t need a university degree to achieve that.

  85. #97.Maestro Hhehhehhehhe

KK is not thinking rightly nowadays! He is constantly contradicting himself. I think the death of his Son Wezi affected him so much. I remember him punishing SATA, just for the sins Mr SATA’s father committed, & Kaunda was there trying to justify why someone has to be punished for his parents sins. He was even quoting the BIBLE for that matter. So, you can see that the Man has a grudge against SATA.

  86. 90. Geologist, Canada; you wrote “The bottomline is greedness on the part of HH & SATA, so who are they claiming to be saving? People of ZAMBIA? These are heartless chaps that just want to be in state house at all costs, but selfish since they want to have everything to themselves. SO HH is very selfish, so is SATA.”
My last comment on this one is that the ONLY SELFISH individual here is Micheal Chilufya Sata, the Undereducate,72 year old man who has only been to Standard 4 which is equivalent to Grade 6 in our current education system under Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) and Ministry of Education (MOE) as the man is not presidential material who could be a good cadre like Nakawala.

  87. 105. Geologist, Canada; please desist or don’t insult the big man KK. KK might have referred to Duetoronomy 32: 5 or so in the Holy Bible. See my next posting.

  88. 107 MUST READ Exodus 34: 5- 7 as in “5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. Ex. 20.5, 6 · Num. 14.18 · Deut. 5.9, 10 ; 7.9, 10”

  89. KK had good policies during his time which could have brought a number of developments, but I do not agree with him on everything. All he should be doing is advising people rightly and not on the basis that one is a former UNIP cadre. If you think he’s so much right, why didn’t he support HH and campaign for him? What did he do? Supported a former UNIP cadre to be the right Man.

  90. 103. I am suprised by your claims that you are very educated and yet when I check this blog, you are misusing your precious time contributing to this bolg as though you earn a livelihood from it.

Are you bored out there,as for me its Christmas time and its raining in the city. Why dont u get a chick from Zambia and entertain your dull moments than spend time and money sending on this blog.Surely u can wisely use these resoucres even to help your needy in Zambia, they will appreciate soo much.I wander if you are not just a teenager who playing big.One day you be exposed.

Merry Christmas to all.Chiubu beer is what am sipping with my beloved wife and family.See your on Year Eve again.

  91. 102. Geologist, Canada; you wrote “To be educated does not mean you having completed University, since there are people who are more intelligent than those who have been to school. Even someone who has never had a chance of progressing very far in education can rule Zambia as long as he has good advisers!” What intelligence did the Undereducate, MC Sata, show in the recent campaigns when he said that whoever wins the Zambian Presidency should not be subject to elections in 2011 when the National Assembly is dissolved a contrary thing to our current Constitution? Mind you, Sata was part of the MPs who enacted the current Constitution of 1996 which he Sata clearly doesnt understand!

  92. 109. Geologist, Canada; I believe your ” If you think he’s so much right, why didn’t he support HH and campaign for him? What did he do? Supported a former UNIP cadre to be the right Man” has to be directed to KK himself and not.

Why are you now jumping around from one issue to the other? Is it because you have failed to beat me at reasoning and also having a good knowledge of news from home?

Can you please assert, compose yourself and be stable instead of running around like a headless chicken please?

I hate ignorant guys like yourself. Can you tell me the educational backgroung of Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Sir Richard Branson and most of the guys who are the money men of this world. Leadership is not or about just academic education. Look at how embarassing it is to have Ludwig Sondashi around with his doctorate. Sata may not have the degrees most of the guys in the streets have and are not being enterprising. Sata is intelligent even more than yourself. Leadership is about ntural intelligence, like most of the desciples and men of God in the bible. Brother stop being myopic in your analysis as to who is fit to lead. Most graduates with degrees are street men and ladies.

Both SATA & HH contributed to the MESS we are having Zambia. HH was the one on the negotiating side for sell of most of the Mines, so he’s not a person to entrust power as he can sell this country. That was very bad negotiating skills where you sell a Mine at $25 Million & then the new owner recovers back the who amount he spent in just one year! Then you think he can run affairs of protecting a Country?

Just acknowledge that your Sata is a failure because his part in the Chiluba MMD Administration was terrible. His clever and even educate friend late Mwanawasa resigned from that useless congregation of people who denied many of us a sound economy.

  101. From 113
Chiluba also had poor education but was more intelligent naturally than your RB with his degree in economics. Most of the businessesn here in zambia are not even in the hands of the educated as you put it, but in the hands of the illeterate. The only tangible thing you see out of most educated zambians is empty analysis after empty analysis and thieving of the most sophiscated nature. Look at how many retired Professors and Doctorate holders are busy spoiling the minds of every leader who goes to state house for consultancy jobs that yeild little or no friut at all. Look at Doctor Kabunda Kayongo, is this the education you are talking about.

  102. #120 continued.

President HH on the contrary had nothing to do with your accusations. In fact, if you think you have a case against HH why don’t you go to court and file a case against him. Jealous will not take you anywhere my friend.

Wake up from slamber my friends.

  103. #113.UMWINA KALALE

Spot on! This is what our so called learned colleagues can not grasp. In life, you deal with human resources, so you can not bring in the aspects of physics to solve problems related to leadership. In fact, little education makes people start asking questions like kids & then from there, sound ideas flow when one is dedicated to reflect on what has been said. The impossibility does not exist in the mind of a Kid, so to be a good leader, requires wisdom & not just mere education you get in a University!

It just shows that don’t know the facts. 1991-1994 was a big period, but it took an intelligent Man less than 1 year to resign and tell the Nation that MMD had lost it initial vision. Read the facts, they are all there!!!

  112. 129. Geologist, Canada; continue lobbying for failed characters like russia-moscow to come to your aid.

You will continue having a rude shock as president HH continues making money and gaining ground politically in Zambia.

  113. 132.Geologist, Canada; I have asked you a simple question and now you are busy running away from it. Instead of writing me “It just shows that don’t know the facts. 1991-1994 was a big period, but it took an intelligent Man less than 1 year to resign and tell the Nation that MMD had lost it initial vision. Read the facts, they are all there!”
I want you to post real data about late LPM’s resignation on here. Do not refer me to ‘facts…are all there’ for I want them here on LT. If you have failed,it is not too late to acknowledge failure instead of applying trial-and-error which your Sata used when he was in the Chiluba Administration to solve simple problems which a Grade 9 dropout could.

  114. I always wonder why SATA supporters are so anti-education. The world has revolved… education is very important. One needs it to understand simple issues nowadays be in economics, politics, etc WITH EDUCATION. Why do you want to give the top job to someone who doesn’t even construct good sentences? I have heard him on radio. His sentences are directly translated from Bemba! Dont get annoyed that he is not educated, find someone able to lead the country into real DEVELOPMENT! Also, learn to appreciate that we can unite in our diversity. Dont resort to stoning those who dont agree with you!
Maestro, i feel for you! anyway, carry on perhaps one day they will understand.

  115. Oh, my fellow Zambians, I will now prepare to get to some family that has invited me to spend time with them today. Have a great day and take care of yourselves.

    :-$ .

  116. SATA does well with the masses, but it doesnt mean he is a good leader. He lacks so many things which some of us see (education being the topmost). HH is a better leader even if he has not accumulated enough votes to win the presidential seat and not merely because he is educated. IBut of course, his education makes him gain a lot more polictical mileage to his followers. Its just a matter of time and if he remains focused he will make it one day.

  117. 135. ANTI – PF! greetings and just for you, thanks for “Maestro, i feel for you! anyway, carry on perhaps one day they will understand”

Do not worry about myself for the good Lord God has blessed me with education and many other things which I do not have to mention on here. Just leave these PF, Anti-education, characters for I will cut them all to their size as I teach them how to have manners.

One day, by God’s grace, they will surely come home to reality.

Later and take careul care always.

  118. #137 ANTI – PF!
Sata is popular because of his ability to appeal to people’s emotions. He is in touch with reality and uses his empathy to woo voters. My main problem with him is his undemocratic track record.

HH, on the other hand, is educated and commercially aware. His main drawback is the failure to connect with people. Simply put, the man lacks charisma. Charisma doesn’t play as big a role in determining corporate and commercial success as it does in determining political success. Look around and see how many uncharismatic candidates win elections. In an ideal world we’d value the content of one’s character more than the penchant for hyperbole but politics is not perfect.

  119. 141… based on your analysis then in I would suggest,

    SATA – Republican President
HH – Prime Minister (head of govt.)

  120. Geologist, Canada.
When LPM was being paraded that he resigned from MMD on grounds of the party being corrupt, i disagreed with that and most people did not know the topic.
Levy after the accident and due to failing health and animosity from FTJ not to displine guys like Baldwin, Chitala, Sata and other who where disregarding him (LPM)choose to resign and left govt. But years down the line a lot of people forgot and said LPM resigned cause of corruption, it was a lie in broad day light. LPM resigned citing his threat on his life and indispline torwards him by supposedly junior members. I was at CBU then and remember the event like my studies. Good recalling Geologist.

  121. Anyway, it is pointless for the so called ‘President’ Sata to expel 16 of his MPS. This also shows that he is very unreasonable, he cannot reconcile with anyone. His ideals prevail over anything else. SUCH ARE DANGEROUS LEADERS.

SATA was never voted into office by anyone (self appointed since 2001) – at least the MPS were voted into office by the people even if it was on PF ticket.

Can you imagine SATA being president? What an arrogant yet insensitive person. Those shouting bwato, bwato aimlessly are blind followers being led by a BLIND SATA.

  124. 145
Don’t just blog, go and ask a lot of people who is popular between PF MPs and Sata himself. If you are not comfortable to do that summon or call on Kampijimpanga from MMD and she will tell you how Sata is a saleable commodity that RB or any of those rebel MPs. Based on that and if one can not appreciate the back of the person they are riding on, the best is to see them out that is dead wood. The other thing you have to realise is that most of those MPs are not ready to sacrifice for zambia so the better to see them out. Let them go to MMD which is united for the sake of raping our coffers and ripping this nation.

  125. Ze Biggie, it’s pointless trying to blog with characters that have an inferiority complex, hence resort to “whipping” those abroad by claiming all are engaged in the most derided of employments. The fact that one made it abroad – indicates ingenuity & self reliance, & the maturity & principled enough as not to accept to be led by a mob of loud mouthed & deep pocketed cabal calling themselves the MMD – this lot hijacked the movement from people, & the likes of the late Baldwin Nkumbula & others.

Obama is on holiday after filling the crucial positions in his govt and knowing Bush has about 25 to 15 days to leave office. RB takes up an office that was vacant for over 3 months and the next thing before clearing his “in basket” he goes on holiday. Pa Zed ukulofwa li pose, but in other cultures its as good as stealing. So dont worry about people who hate so much those who have gone for greener pastures. Its life here even at the top most office.

Ba Chomba naimwe. Finshi fyawama pali zambia apapene. Just cause ba RB can go on holiday after not doing anything ekuwama mulelanda tefyo. Ngakukolwa mwakolwa twamyelela bakaamba. Zambia as at now is being led by people with soiled pants ngatamwishibe.

  129. 146. ZE BIGGIE, ninshi pantu muleilishanya? I am not a GRZ sponsorship right now. I was on GRZ BC Sponsorship for passing my Grade 12 exams with high marks

  130. My fellow bloggers I learn a lot from the several comments posted. However as we analyse political issues we must ask ourselves why we support certain politicians. Is it because they are from our tribe? If so, my brother my sister, repent to God. We need to uproot tribalism from our land. Tribalism retards progress. God bless you all

  131. Ever since that time, I have been on other governments, companies and family sponsorship of which my 67 years old educated mother has done well well to help me right this far.
So, when I referred to characters working at the London Train Station I was answering some character who had written that I am wasting a lot of time I would use to make money to help my family. On the contrary, my family has been blessed by the good Lord to and extent that they can manage to send me here for school even if my father died 20 years ago in 1988.
Otherwise, no offense as I was showing that though the Undereducate Sata MC worked as a cleaner at the London Train Station not all of us have to do the same.

  132. 154. Ba Season, sense my fellow Citizen.

How on Earth can someone propose that Sata MC be president president HH be Prime Minister as #142. Dark Knight has done save on tribal emotional thinking probably?
    😮

  133. No. 36 Big Scopo; You say PF wanted to serve money by staying away from NCC. The truth of the matter is that PF wanted more people appointed to NCC which would have pushed up costs. PF wanted to please the Catholic Church and NGOs. PF even introduced new categories of NCC participants. Check the facts before responding.

  134. WHY SHOULD SATA RECONCILE WITH REBELS? THERE ARE RULES IN PF WHICH MUST BE FOLLOWED BY ANY (ESPECIALLY) OFFICE BEARERS. QUANTITY WITH QUALITY IS WHAT IS NEEDED IN PF. OR ELSE WE BETTER STICK TO QUALITY, ABSOLUTELY.

  135. No 152 Umwina Kalale. RB does need to go on holiday to prepare his Address to Parliament which comes in January of each year. This address to Parliament sets the direction and tone for the country. It also guides us on the budget. RB has to have quiet time to reflect and put down ideas for the nation. It is not the same as contributing a blog like some do.

  136. #7 LELO. SPOT ON. THEY MUST BE BOOTED OUT. LETS REMAIN WITH SERVANTS WHO ARE PREPARED TO SERVE THE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA THROUGH A COMMON PARTY BELIEF AND DEDICATION WHO COLLECTIVELY AGREE ON MATTERS CONCERNING THE PARTY AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. POLITICAL PROSTITUTES MUST NOT BE ENTERTAINED. LETS HAVE THE BY-ELECTIONS.

  137. No 133 and 156 Maestro Hhehhe.. You say HH will continue to make money and gain politically. The facts of the matter is that HH has not been gaining politically but each time he leads UPND into battle he does worse for it than in the last election they participated. HH should clarify his “From strength to strength” motto to read, “From strength to less strength and eventual weakness and obscurity”. Everyone can see these facts as plain as day. It is for that reason that serious analysts cannot see him being the top of any ticket. PM? Maybe..but not likely either.

  138. No 133 and 156 Maestro Hhehhe.. My blog No 162 was meant for you from your alterego. It is for this reason that serious analysts cannot see HH being the top of any ticket. PM? Maybe…but not likely either.

  139. #47. RB IS HIGHLY EDUCATED AND HE IS CURRENTLY ZAMBIA’s PRESIDENT. WHEN YOU EVALUATE HIM, HE HAN’T EVEN STARTED TO WORK. EVEN HIMSELF DOESN’T KNOW WHERE TO START FROM TO PERFORM HIS DUTIES. HE IS COMPLETELY CONFUSED. AND THE ONLY THING HE CAN DO IS RUN AWAY FROM PROBLEMS. SO, ITS NOT ALWAYS THAT EDUCATED PEOPLE CAN DELIVER. ASK LONDONERS ABOUT KEN LIVINGSTONE. WITH MINIMUM EDUCATION, KEN IS A PERFORMER AND RESULTS-ORIENTED. PEOPLE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN DEGREES BUT DELIVERABLES.

  140. HH is certainly greedy and immoral. He has made billions on the sufferring of thousands. He has left a trail of misery for thousands and billions for his bank accounts. I still want to know how someone entrusted to negotiate on behalf of Zambia the sale of Mosi O tunya Hotel ends up as Chairman of Sun International to whom he sold Mosi O Tunya at very strange concessionary terms. Can we trust such a man to run Zambia? What deals will he strike to increase his bank balances further at the expense of the ordinary Zambian. Leopards do not change their spots.

  141. You see when people say sata is selfish, its true how can he start saying people should be ready for a lot of by-elections when UTh has so many problems?Look at those poor babies that died when thre was a power cut.If he is a sensible leader who cares for the poor zambian masses especially that his wife/daughter is a doctor. Why can’t he push for things like a generator for the prem-nursery at uth and all other hospitals because these power cuts are here to stay as long as we continue with the present zesco management.sata is a selfish, arrogant, senseless, good for nothing old man.

  142. Get it straight SATA will never be president of Zambia. Chiluba is his best enemy and Chiluba wants to influence who becomes Zambia’s next President. But he wont succeed unless Xavier kills most of the people as he has started already. We shall never allow this level of irresponsible leadership back. Never again.

  143. iwe #166, democracy is not measured by costs. Let them go back and get the mandate from the people, see if they support the NCC.

  144. SATA should never be allowed to be president. I love Zambia but I am a Nigerian. I attend every function in London organised by Zambians but I cannot trust what I read about SATA. I respected Manawasa every time but I must warn you. Zambia is too good to be plunged into war like Nigeria. You are good people but Nigeria is full of bad people who only see what they want. God bless you only advice from a a person who thinks and enjoys beiing with Zambians.

  145. I have niticed some people are just a problem on this blog. I am still clarifying that the articles talks of expelling rebel MPs, but some people hijacked this topic to turn it into an advert for other things, that is very wrong! These insults of trying to belittle other bloggers are completely insanity at its best. If this was an exam, I can assure you that it would have been a disaster!

So, blog on the topic and not other things! It also pays to choose what to blog on and be seen everywhere like a headless chicken. Enjoy the christmas festive and make good resolutions for the coming year!

  146. #170, You likely mean ‘Maestro fimomfimo’, a UPND cadre who would make Teta look good, he says he is a space physicist (god help NASA if he makes it there).

I found the guy posting this on the sports ‘blog’ section about Hichani’s injury….

    “HH gives RB Business tips
The UPND has proposed a set of short and long term measures to help cushion the impact of rising commodity prices and the global financial crisis.”
    Source: ww w. zambianwatchdog. com/ ?p=774
This is what real men do instead of behaving like boys who make noise like gongs.”

  147. I can confirm that Sata is sick for the job. He wants that job regardless of what it takes to defeat him. The man doesn’t sleep in his house but in statehouse even when tabala wina. He is a bully that should not be allowed to enter state house because he will not get out. Look at Mugabe. It is the same story. Lubinda should not waste his education and political talent/s in PF because he will achieve nothing. We are in a village with Sata as headman deciding who is what and who should be where. Ba SATA please tusheni namunnaka and namukula and you deserve to rest.

  148. Maestro Hehehehehe, some people on this blog are probably more educated than you, it is not right to call them “undereducate” or whatever you terms you use. The fact of the matter is that some of the people who started the tribal train in the UPND such as Madyenkunku and that Mabbolobbolo a.k.a Mwanajiti, have gone back to the MMD. These are the people who have spoiled your party’s chances of being accepted nationally.

  149. These so called rebel MPs are just money mongers period! The goodness with Sata is that he always takes a position but most you so called educated chaps are just to theoretical! Sometimes you just need a dictator for things to move!

  150. 174. ako kanono ba nevers, you wrote “Maestro Hehehehehe, some people on this blog are probably more educated than you, it is not right to call them “undereducate” or whatever you terms you use.”
Who wrote that I am the most educated on this blog? Or where did I write that I am the most educated?
In case, you cant understand simple English, Micheal Chilufya Sata is the Undereducate because he only went upto Standard 4 or equivalently Grade 6. I hope this is clear, if it isnt please ask me again maybe I can write it in broken Bemba Language for you only and/or a few more.

  151. 174. ako kanono ba nevers, you also wrote “Maestro Hehehehehe… The fact of the matter is that some of the people who started the tribal train in the UPND such as Madyenkunku and that Mabbolobbolo a.k.a Mwanajiti, have gone back to the MMD. These are the people who have spoiled your party’s chances of being accepted nationally.”
When did I dispute to this fact of Mr Mwananjiti and Mr Madyenkunku?
Which party is my party in your “spoiled your party’s …”? Read many of my postings and understand that I am an independent SDA Zambian Tonga without a UPND or any other party membership! Again, if this is not clear please shout back for I am ready to inerpret it for you in broken Bemba.

  152. =;

GRZ when are you going to say THANK YOU to president Hakainde Hichilema who wrote President RB Banda containing ways of improving our limping economy. It is sad to note that the Kwacha currency rate to the US Dollar has now surpassed or is about to where former President Chiluba left it with us in 2011.

Let us learn to say thank you any help that comes our way. After all, the MMD GRZ is the one that requested for help from the opposition with solutions to the Global/National Financial Crises that we are facing as Zambians and Zambia. **==
