In entourage is too big, please. How much fuel money was wasted whether from Public or Private? Let us save money as much as we can. We never hread of any US President being welcome by the US’ Vice President, Secretaries of all/most of Departments and Pentagon Defense Chiefs with Police ones.

Let us emulate the way the most powerful Nation on planet Earth is doing things, for we might just improve drastically to being somewhere better.

By the way, we were promised that the President RB Banda will tell us about his position, Zambian position to be specific, on the United States of Africa copy-kind of the real US or USA when he comes back.

What is the position now that President RB Banda has come back? Does he intend to tell us now or he is not yet convinced on it for now we are in suspence?

  6. Since ascending to the presidency Banda has so far visited about 3 nations and so far on one has been to visit him.

  7. What massage has Zambian government sent to new president of America, his family and to people of America.Anyone with first hand information pliz?

  8. 17. Voice of Reason, I liked this one “Since ascending to the presidency Banda has so far visited about 3 nations and so far on one has been to visit him.”
The question he and his Cabinet must ask themselves is why are they in this position of President with huge entourage visiting other countries always when no one President from another is visiting them in our Zambia save for foreign investors and local ambassadors.
It it time to give up global or is it Africa trotting and concentrate on the well-being of Zambians by channeling they wasted travelling money to noble Citizens’ causes like health care, education, etc. Someone mentioned that a 2nd CT Scan in our country needs only ZK11 Mil.

  9. 24 continued.
, 11 million Zambian Kwacha, which can be met by avoiding a single trip of the President,2 Cabinet Ministers and other unnumbered GRZ officials to Libya due to GRZ money they spend on aeroplane fuel and allowances to themselves.
Can we please see some pro-Citizens agenda instead of personal endeavours to make more money while you still have power Mr President and your Administeration.
We need Heart-disease cheacking machines at our hospitals,in all 9 Provincial Headquarters ones,to help in treating Citizens and not only a few politicians and GRZ officials who are flown to South Africa for specialist treatment by Zambian Doctors working there with equipment we can have here.

  10. Am told that some countries that our leaders visit wonder about the size of their entourage. It is a myth that Africa is deemed a poor continent for there is nothing to show from our leaders. Mswati sent his concubines to the East for lavish shopping at the expense of his impoverished people! Looking at how some live their lives, you will conclude that they are the ones that need to be led and not vice-versa

  11. Yes Maestro, most of our hospital are ill-equipped. The cost of some life-saving equipment is affordable, if only we save a bit of money and allocate it to such causes. But it’s a pity that few people charged with that responsibility of runningthe affairs of this nation think the way you do.

  12. 30 Ayatollah greetings. For a moment I got reminded of my friend working for KCM in Chingola we used to call by this name at UNZA.On to the topic,it is a pity that what our leaders are doing is very retrogressive to our Nation.
This is why we need a serious newspaper at home to educate our people about what is happening in other countries and the advances people outside Zambia have made because of selfless leadership that works in a Citizens’ servicing manner.
We need to open up a free English and 7 major local languages print newpasper at home to show our fellow Citizens how our leaders have taken us all for a ride.It is only through honest education of our people we’ll move on well.

  13. This mudala will bring to zed money from satanists, his quest for investors is going too far. We will sell our land and souls to so-called investors. :((

  14. So how is your ambassador in Libya and Colonel Gadaffi? Its Col. Gadaffi and Robert Mugabe that make strong men of Africa. When they talk everyone listens including the West.

  15. Yes Mr. NS, where are you going next week? Hope this time it will be official! Ngacafwila ku Libya ati ‘He died on duty’ today you are telling us ‘private visit’ You are making too many movements Mr, spare our money and give more time to Situmbeko to plan the budget. (consider hospitals) Mwa lacimona ico mwatamfisha Magande!

  16. This President like his predecessor all the are good at is being tourists at tax’s payers’ expense while the country is disarray economically

  17. Bane the Big Man was on National Duty who knows when in Libya Col Cadaffi always dishes out ma Dollars. Remember last tme he dressed up the Entire Police Service. This time around he might have dished out gas for your salaula cars. Stop critising the Big man RB. Its a pity. If you can’t fight them join them.

  18. Bwezani take your ass down and work. The honeymoon ended when that sick Ngulube pronounced you winner in that fraud of an election. We need answers to many challenges faced with this nation and so far I rate you very badly coz you don’t seem to know right from left.

  19. Mr President, please cut on travelling costs by minimising your international trips and instead concentrate on solving internal economic problems facing the country including Zimbabwe whose problems seems to have been forgotten. The problems facing our Zimbabwen brothers and sisters concerns us all in a way. Please Mr President, don’t forget, Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwen people especially innocent childrens without access clean water and sanitation. Mr President, I rest my case.

  20. #17 Other presidents would come to do what here? We have nothing to offer.

#24 and 32 When you dont personalise, you write very good comments. Just try to shorten them a bit. Cheers

  21. One thing I have come to note is that we shouldn’t blame the politicians for lousy news like “Banda back from Libya” but the media. The media always look, like, ask and publish or report such inferior news (some of it is not even worth calling news) be more controversial guys and always keep these politicians on their fat toes. Please don’t be intimidated bane. :-w

  22. #38, It might be on national duty but Nyama soya can’t spell it out for one simple reason- He want to pocket whatever he was given! Since mkamba ati bapasa too much.

  23. But if somebody young and educated where to stand for president pa Zed. He/she will definitely win. People (especially me) are so tired of being ruled by old people with their old uncivilized ways of governing. its unexciting, irritating and extremely boring. Can somebody feel me please? ~X(

  24. Hey Folks it’s all about the oil now.

Nigeria and Libya are well into Oil production and it has helped their countries thus far. Thats the next big thing for us Zambians as long as we can participate. RB is recruiting privately from the oil-men to assume a head start in the Zambian oil fields. watch this space

  25. RB. is angling for chaos in Zambia and it will be our fault if he is allowed to get away with such blatant murder.

  26. I think we should send five men delegations to the top 50 nations in the world for a year and make them study the way they run their countries and economies and then have them back and give them the task to draft the way forward.
    WHY?
Zambia is being run without any directions, the country has no agenda, no ambitions and seems to be floating around and wasting the little we have.
America was built by men, not through magic, We can make it, Africa-yes we can.
    Any comments? guys

  27. American made a mistake. they should have given us Saddam. may be things can move. I understand these days the great leader is always dizzy after 11. Saw a Lusaka beer truck driving out of plot one.

  28. 43.SISTER greetings, on “#24 and 32 When you dont personalise, you write very good comments. Just try to shorten them a bit. Cheers”, tahnks very much. I always write the best of my ability. It is just a pity that some characters who can not match up to my level of thinking and submission are now engaged into trying to insult me or bring me down.
Unfortunately for them,I have built my house on a TRUE ROCK, Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour and so in whatever form they will come and attack me,they will always fail. Some of them have now being studying my writings just to find any mistakes. Some specialise in some Scriptures and hope to find me off guard one day. They will never manage in this.

  29. 53 cont’d.
Even their jealous of my hard earned success in life and on LT has brought pain in their lives causing them to daily dream of my falling down. Instead of concentrating on submitting sensible points, they always seek to attack me as a Tonga.
I can only wish that you, SISTER, must desist from trying to under-estimate my capabilities and well-preparedness at all times. You will do well by just complementing my efforts to see a better Zambia in the near future: free from corrupt minded elements and liars who have brought misery on my fellow Zambians since our obtaining political independence.
Keep well and take CAREFUL care always.

  30. 47. KA’DOYO… I read you and true, we need a young and educated Zambian. Not some characters who just speak always without ofering constructive solution save for releasing data which others already mentioned some time ago.

  31. 51. toko, your ” think we should send five men delegations to the top 50 nations in the world for a year and make them study the way they run their countries and economies and then have them back and give them the task to draft the way forward” is great but we can only waste more money.
However, going by what you have written, there are a big number of us including you in South Africa who are studying here and there and so we just need to take back the information we have back home. The only way the information we have can be utilised by our Zambian GRZ is that it must be able to give us a forum to put up our collective ideas when we go back home or jobs so that we put it into practice.

  32. 56. Maestro Hhehhehhehhe continued.
China has done such before and is still doing it. Do you know why a lot of Chinese people are studying all over the world including there in South Africa in numbers sponsored by the governments, but then flock back home to China when they are finished with studies?
The Chinese students studying in those countries are simply there to learn as much as possible how others do things especially learning the English Language.
Zambia has a lesson to learn from the Chinese.

  33. 53 and 54 MAESTRO I’m not trying to underestimate you. I’m just trying to avoid a situation where we should start wasting time writing novels on issues affecting all of us, just because you want to be noticed. One sentence can answer 50 questions. Dont always hit back by writing volumes. Surrender is not defeat.

The other thing, self-praise stinks. You are an award winner only on LT. How many people know about LT?

  34. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you says the lord. U touch Israel, you touch God and America will help Israel to clean up your economy and you will be rubble’s all over. He should have asked KK. KK chased the Jews in 1971/2 and oh my God, our economy has never been the same ever since.

  35. Akulu mphuno has denounced Israel in a closed door meeting.
he has condemned the invasion of Palestine by Israel, Libyan media have reported. he condemned Israel on behalf of Zambia.

  36. the same thing KK did. he aligned himself with Saddam and look where we are a total mess, mind you some of the sweetest oranges the world ever produces come from the same arid land called Israel. You condemn Israel, you do the same to Obama. Did you hear him condemning Israel in his inaugural speech? ney but our sleep walker just did that to please gadafi
