Patriotic Front (PF) Mulilansolo ward Councillor, Abraham Mulenga, has appealed to Kasama Central Member of Parliament (MP), Dr Xavier Chishimba, to visit his constituency and co-ordinate  developmental  projects with  the electorate.

Mr Mulenga made the appeal in a press statement realesed to ZANIS in Kasama today, saying most projects have remained static due to none-availability of the area MP to lobby and push for implementation.

He has accused the MP staying in Lusaka on the expense of the electorate, adding that developmental projects in Kasama had stalled, a situation he called  retrogressive and unproductive.

Mr Mulenga lamented that last year only K5 million was accessed from the Constituency Development Funds (CDF)which was spent on the flood lights at New Town community market in his ward.

The ward councilor said communities in New Town, Central and Mulenga Hill have a number of projects that need the presence of the area MP and other stakeholders to attain implementation.

Mr Mulenga disclosed that the council has already approved the Mulenga Hills  antenatal annex building, the extension of handicapped community building in Central Town and road rehabilitation works on New Town roads but the MP was  not available  in Kasama.

He stressed that  Rural Development Committees (RDCs) need  the  involvement of  the MP  if they  have  to come up with viable developmental projects which  would enable them access the CDF funds that the Government has allocated to Councils.

Mr Mulenga added that CDF funds have to be competed for through the provision of viable and merited projects from communities and so the RDCs have to work hard in order to benefit from the funds.

  1. bashe ni they came to stay nangu kupyafye nakasuba?

But true to say, some of these MPs are there just for their livelyhood. at least the people of Kasama Central no him better now.
    next time kuya bebele.

  2. Chishimba be careful. that appeal might lead you into the lion’s jaws. Its a snare by the the cadres. they will lynch you coz of the embarrancement you cozed to Bashi Chilufya. (remember you want to block him during filing of nominations0

  3. Ba Xavier tebakuchetekela bombenifye mukilenemo namu town. Bushe imwe ba councilor tamumona ati Kasama imoneka kwati chobolya?

  4. Why complain over non availability of your MP in Kasama Central. Next time consider voting for an MP who resides among yourselves not these guys who live in Lusaka and only appear when seeking adoption. This problem is all over most of our rural consitituences. In Zambezi West same, Mwinilunga West the same. Even pa Kembe, Chibombo. Let us get jacked up and vote that live among ourselves because they are better placed to solve our problems. How do you vote for mercenaries as MPs.These pipo with NCC and parliament in motion will give every excuse in the world to run away from their responsibility. No wonder they got inresponsibility allowances at expense of development of their areas

  5. Imwe ba Chishimba go and develop our village ala dont just sit in Lusaka na mufimbana nefitenge kwati nakutala or kwati mulewamya “as if you are clearning”
    visit your constituency pliz.

  6. :-b Is this not the Chshimba that was working out of National Assembly hand in hand with a Chic? Whats her name again?

Please someone help me !! They were on some weekly pictures a few weeks ago!! Pls help me find the name :d

  7. Mr. Xaviour is a prototype of a Zed polotician, Oh sorry, politicians who has nothing to offer apart from the two boz in the groin!
People should learn to vote for people from their arears.

  8. Chishimba is not the only MP with such an attitude!

    Bruder L

Angela fimofimo is the chic’s name! No wonder he doesnt want to go back ku kasama!

  9. # 6, i think afraid of being lynched. this chap tried to block Ba
Sata lastminute.com during the filing of presidential election nomination papers.

  10. MPs should never have a salary. They have no offices in their constituencies and they should not be paid a salary but only allowances when they are in parliament. Elsewhere, MPs have offices in their constituencies and they work full time with their communities. hence them being apid a salary. PF and its illiterate Sata have a big problem. They can NEVER function as a unit because they are always drunk and singing PABWATOO. How can you work like that? Its rainy season now and Sata is busy shouting, when is he going to grow his own food?

  11. Zeb politics! This is what most MP’s do and its not only Chishimba, so an appeal should be made to all MP’s to visit thier constituences. Chishimba is exposed simply because he wanted to challenge Sata during the presidential filing in of nominations, by filing in an injunction. Its tipical of PF, they want your blood Chishimba.

  12. I am coming to Campaign in Lusaka Central and win but will continue residing in Sandton Johannesburg. The reason is simple the ground clearance for my Lamborghini is too low for Lusaka potholes

  13. Mr Banda said this when he addressed students in the faculty of science at the University of Addis Ababa – formerly University of Ethiopia – where he studied.
He said his Government attached importance to improving education in Zambia, adding that he would like to see many young Africans getting quality education.

Mr Banda said he admired Ethiopia, which had 20 universities and more than 100,000 university students.
He said he would ensure that Zambia also built more universities and colleges.

Mr Banda was later led by Dean of the faculty of science Mr Bekele to plant a tree in the university premises.

And a student at the university Belary Tadesse said Mr Banda was their role mod

  14. Which University did Sata go to for studies and who looks up to him as a role model? Which University did Chiluba the plunderer go to and who were his teachers or classmates? Ubufi bulabwela. Chiluba beware!!!

At least RB, clean CV academically and diplomatically ka, so two nil. Sata has been beaten clean. Balalila ati fugitive abwela elo tuleteka. Mwailasha na fugitive wanu ba Chiluba!!

  15. I was of the view that the topic is about Absentee MPS…Anyway i just thinking that Kasama is lacking in social amenities i.e. Majorie Masiye, Angela Chifile leading to Hon. Chishimba stuck in LSK

  16. Ehiopia may boast 20 Universities and over 100,000 students a good plus but dont forget this country has existed much longer than Zambia. In addition they have more than 70million pipo so when you compare to Zambia we could be better than them on average. RB yes you are role model there at your former varsity but we need more action on quality and affordable education. FTJ may not have a ricj academic CV but let us not forget he ruled us and each time he opened his mounth we used to cheer and sing “THE HOOUURR” Let us forget about the man. He messed us all. Let us find solutions to the mess he left behind. Life is about forgging ahead. Lets us watch how RB is going to deliver on campaigns.OK

  17. Don’t get me wrong. I like Sata and we used to drink together before I stopped drinking except that he is so undemocratic in any discusions you have that he always wants it his way. I recall once at central sports, a colleague askinga question ‘ Bane who is that man who never stops talking?’. Enock Kavindele responded and said that is Sata for you.

  18. #45 tlk, so to you UNZA stands for any University? How can you talk about UNZA in Ethiopia bwebantu, please? You see not to judge people but by a few lines of discourse, i am able totell that you are a typical PF cadre. No offence intended but this is what we get from most PF cadres ‘ Shouting without knowing what they are shouting about’? How can we allow such people in govt? Even your so-called sleeping RB is miles better than the drunken mob in PF.

  19. I think that decoy of apparently falling sick only to send a killer blow may not work on Chishimba. He has prepared himself. Let us wait and see.

  20. ‘Pandemonium broke loose in the hall.Ejaculations of Pabwato Pabwato from the frenzy croud quickly filled the hall. I quickly pulled myself a safe distance away, hoping to find a quick exit, my bag firmly held to my wrist. Scroundrels with ill motive writen on their faces pushed forward towards the epicentre of the commontion, instinctively forming a ring.’

  21. Mr Interigenta I was testing your mind I wanted to know if know what the word UNZA stand for.Lets hope you not Banda’s nephew

  22. # 40,
Point of correction. Mr. Sata does not drink beer. Unless you say, you were smoking with him,I won’t agree.:-w:-w

  23. Chishimba and Sata have reconciled. They work together now, for those in delusion. The idea to say,”this is a witch hunt for wanted to block Sata standing as president”,is a lie of waste kind.Get facts bane and comment.

  24. 63. wanyanya
whether sata and chishimba are enermies or friends doesnt matter. what matters is the developmental projects in kasama that chishimba is surpose to spearhead. Chishimba must spend time in his constituency and find ways of changing the economy from cassava based to something viable. We have a maize shortage in Zambia and the chap cant even talk about the cassava alternative in parliament or to millers, has he forgoten that thats the life blood of his constituency because of overstaying in lusaka?

  25. Why go to the press. Cant they communicate internally within PF. Is this man expressing a genuine concern or he’s politicking, trying to cause more trouble.

  26. Thanks #62, for people like #60, drinking for him means beer. Again you see PF mentality – jumping to conclusions too quickly. How can you let such people govern. No wonder they blindly follow a person like Sata and Sata knows it very well. What ateam of jokers – PABWATOOOOO, my foot!!

  27. The Intelligetier ulikapuba Sana waumfwa? Who tells you that Sata has no people who look to him as a role model? There are so many educated people who admire Sata.More educated than you ka mambala. Am very educated but i have respect for the man.Who do you think you are to talk like that shaa? Inga waikuta ubwali na katapa iya bula salad you should just zip aka kanwa shaa.

  28. Ba chishimba!! Did you make any promises b4 you were elected? Its time to deliver and not 2 liv in lusaka, Akalale ka wama bwana? Remember who employed you!!

  29. 67. The Intelligentia
Following Sata is a religon you dont have to ask why people follow him you have to take everything by faith. If he tells you that loadshedding will end on inauguration day, people will have more money in there pockets, within 90 the Cure for AIDS will be found, the country will be industrialised, No tax, no school fees and no medical fees high salaries for doctors and teachers, barotse royal agreement will be honored in its totality, no chinese only Taiwanese. All those things he says never ask how he is going to do them just take it by faith that he will do them, if you cant then you dont qualify to be a PF mind you questioning the scripture is a sin.

  30. #68 Chewe, ifipuba tafitukana insele iyo. Instead ifipuba efituka abantu insele. Waumfwa ayi? Congratulations if you are more educated than me. Make good money with your good education and stop blindly following ba Sata. Unless you are just making a good cyber noun for yourself.

  31. 72. The Intelligentia
Iwe The Intelligentia talking ill of someone religion is not only a sin but blasphemy itself. I have told you before, this PF thing is a religion and questioning the doctrines is not allowed. The only difference with other religions is that it has no written mainfesto and no written constitution in other words the doctrine is not a written one and you have to rely on what thy leader thy says unto thee and trust thy word even in th midst of death.

  32. :o:o:o:o:o I think he has some unfinished business with Angela.I think azayenda ku Kasama after the Valentine:o:o:o

  33. he says he intends to rule Zambia one day,but i wonder how he can, when a constituecny is too big for him.hell no.he’s just being a political tool for MMD against bakateka ba Sata.

  34. People must be educated so that they vote on merit to see development, not for someone who just buy booze and vitenge or because he is in a particular party.

  35. Bane, the issue at hand is Chishimba is not doing his job and not who is role model.
Chishimba naimwe go and work 2011 is at the corner. We shall vote you out! Thats why we shall always remain behind bcoz we have Mps who cant left their fingers…. and only sitg kwati balipamatebeto! **==

  36. let those people in kasama stop complaining because to them anything pabwato nangu kapuba was ok.typicai of 1991 when a bunch of conmen went through because they were MMD.people never learn so imwe ku kasama ikaleni mu bwato muleke nokuilishanya.

  37. 83 akopondo not all in Kasama were pabwato bwana!no no may be only me otherwise dont say Kasama bwana.nitakucapa next time 😮

  38. #71, 78 Engines, you have really made my day. It is true they are a cult. That is why they shout to no end. Now can’t they see that most of these PF MPs have nothing to offer? Now that people are quiet, Sata will agains start quarelling with his MPs, after elections, the shout changes to rigging, when are these PF cadres ever going to do some work?

  39. The Intelligentia what you call yourself.Go and have some sleep get refreshed then that head of yours will think straight. And you will stop ukupontela ba Sata.Bushe finshi amilila kateka Sata naiwe wine Engines ama setting?

  40. #88 Chewe, ifipuba tafitukana insele iyo. Ifitukana insele efipuba fine. Waumfwa mune? Watelela makani? Waidzimvela nkani? Uuwutwile Chewe?

  41. #88 correction on my earlier posting. I meant ifipuba tabafituka insele iyo pantu fipuba afituka a bantu insele. Mwatelela makani ba Chewe?

  42. The Intelligentia,i have been following your comments on Sata.Your altitude towards him is really bad. So muichindike fye batata mwaumfwa?

  43. This is the problem we have with our MPs in most parties. Why s it that the same parties cannot adopt one who resides in the SAME area ! I cannot be shocked to hear that Angela Chifire has been adopted for SHANGOMBO Contituency. Its not about bootlicking your way to an adoption, its working FOR THE PEOPLE, WITH THE PEOPLE

  44. # 87 The intelligentia i think you are more dull than intelligent ,am very dissappointed by you intellectural abilities,i wonder how many years the school desks had a pleasure of you sitting on them,at first i though your analytical skills were good but it is the opposite, why having baseless talks about sata and who cares if he drinks or not ,now that is nonsensical.About the academic qualifications of past and present presidents, leadership does not depend on how much qualifications one has, but the ability to motivate and make sound dicisions. Please build on your intelligency [-x

  45. I wil confess this is being a bit cheeky of me, as this is supposed to be about a Kasama MP, as this involves development, my focus will be on development, the principal for having these people is about creating a better life for the people that they serve.
I have had a document sent to me by my nephew on the Zambian vision up to 2030. The document is logical, well researched on background, but is this all academic?(cynical-No)Can the policies be taken seriously by the policy makers? and then once thrown back into implementation can they implement that they designed. 50 years in ideas, 100 years back in action, our Zambia.

  46. I put the blame on village electorates. They never learn, come election time they do the same ridiculous thing. Sata must intervene.

  47. The arrogance and ignorance of some so-called educated people is amazing. They completely ignore valuable lessons that are learnt at the University Of Life. Nothing in books prepares you for the sometimes hard realities of life. You live and learn every second of your life. Do not despise people who have not had the same opportunities as you.

  48. Its not only Chishimba who is portraying such a bad work culture, Check most MPs and not only those voted on PF ticket. Infact wanyinji ni wa MMD. Come to Luangeni Constituency in Chipata. Find out from the electorate the last time they saw Angela Chifire, You would just hear September, 2006. Worse still some of the people who voted her dont even know her. What a shame!!!!

  49. ” He stressed that Rural Development Committees (RDCs) need the involvement of the MP if they have to come up with viable developmental projects which would enable them access the CDF funds that the Government has allocated to Councils. ”

The state (not government – big distinction) should pay out 50% of national revenues to local councils directly. That way, local councillors can have both the right and the means to implement development projects, and no one has to wait for central government to make a decision. Councils can ease up on local levies and taxation, projects are no longer dependent on who is elected to State House, etc.

    Make sense?

  50. Zambia, Mozambique sign currency repatriation pact
Zambia and Mozambique have signed an official currency exchange agreement which will make the currencies from both countries legal tender in Zambia
    and Mozambique.
Under the agreement between the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) and the Banco de Moçambique, citizens of the two countries will now be able to pay for goods
originating from the other country with the currency of that country, eliminating the need for currency conversions by citizens.
The currencies involved in the transaction are the Zambian kwacha and the metical of Mozambique – Daily Mail, Friday February 6, Pg 3; The Post, Friday
February 6, Pg 11; Times of Zambia, Friday February

  51. #85 maria K, heshima yako. Sasa uwezi kunichapa next time au miaka mia ijayo. Mimi kiboko. Anyway iam happy for you were not on the PF gravy train of even electiing syncophants like xavier chishimba as MP.

  52. PF cadres, let us learn to respect each other. Facts are facts. Can you argue with what #71 has said? If you think one is intelligent because he agrees with you then I am sorry. In terms of education, we are not necessarily saying every president or leader should have a PhD but must exhibit some decent level of understanding of issues from different perspectives. Your cult leader Sata clearly doesn’t have this one. I cannot have an attitude towards a man who means nothing to my life. With or without Sata life for me does not change in any way. Why would I bother? So, PF cadres mind your language and respect other people’s views. That is democracy in case you did not know.

  53. To be academically intelligent is one thing to be a thinker, is another. Dr Chishimba might have a doctorate but that does not translate into ability to think- rightful thoughts.

Hachilema talked about the standard of reading in Zambia being poor. He was just being polite what he tried to say is that the ability of thinking is not upto par. Lets wait and see if that constituency will give the good doctor a second chance.

  54. He looks so worried and dabwebwe like a masai from Kenya. He’s stil worried coz people from his constituency warned him not to go there or else they,ll manhandle him for missrepresenting them in parliament. **==

  55. #104 intelligentia, otherwise if leadership was based on academic qualifications then i can be the pope myself.Probably you might have just gone as far as masters or probably still doing your thesis, but remember being humble pays,so try to be as analytical as possible mwana and not a by the wind guy :d

  56. I intelligentia,I don’t know what you call yourslf, #90 uli wansele sana mune.Ati watelela makani, inga iwe yali kalabana mwa?nakalimo amakani yobe yena yama polopoto.

  57. 110. chinkukuma

iwe taulalala? I was posting thinking am alone and then you just squeezed yourself between my two comments.

Awe bane mulaleko mwe. Muli ku Australia?

    :o:o:o:o:o:o

  58. Iwe the Intelligentia what ever you call yourself, learn to respect yourself okay?wantumpa sana iwe.You are not even as intelligent as you claim.Your analysis is based on hatred, frustration and jealousy. Leave Sata alone we ka nangwa iwe.

  59. Yeah keep on insulting each each him he is enjoying being an MP your tax payers money is helping him help others the like the girl mentioned :((:o:o:o:o:o

  60. :d let me have another sip of this liquor (not expired)

    ama Americans nomba babuka
