The son of second Republican President Dr. Frederick Chiluba, Castro, has died.
Castro, 33, died on Tuesday at the University Teaching Hospital-UTH- in Lusaka.
Dr. Chiluba’s Press Aid, Emmanuel Mwamba, says Castro was admitted to the UTH on Tuesday morning where he died later.
He said Dr. Chiluba who is currently in South Africa on routine medical review is expected to cut short his schedule and return home for his son’s funeral.

Its true it hurts if someones family member dies, but Castro was a bad boy, i dont feel sad at all. we suffered when his father was president. I remember one time he insulted our parents and said is father was so rich that they would live in Bahamas when his ( father ) term of office expired. He was an animal SIMPLE. I dont care where he has gone to now, what about the people he kept hurting every day?

It is sad Castrol Chiluba is dead, MHSRP. We should however address our selves to one important question, which is : Why is there high death rate among young people in Zambia. Chiluba has lost three Children in so short a period of time , and the case is similar for many parents in Zambia. Why? This is a problem the whole country should address. Chiluba has found himself a victim of this problem.

I am sure FTJ, Tito, Castro have AIDS. Anyway, the sons behavior had to to with Chiluba’s conduct as a father, apart from the Kambarage incident KK’s kids were not trouble makers. Mwanawasa’s kids were also displined. Under FTJ his kids and minister’s kids were wild. Here in Namibia, you will never hear such things like a president’s or minister’s kids driving government cars.
We are not wishing Chiluba family bad things, I think bloggers are simply remembering what Castro did. Why say good things, when there is nothing positive to talk about? I wonder what they will say at the funeral.
Whether Castro was bad or evil, I’m sure he made peace with God by the time he died, especially when he started suffering. If he didn’t, that means gehenna for him. We are not to judge or condemn lest we be judged ourselves. Even Saul who persecuted and killed so many people turned around and became a great apostle. Be careful of the words you say or write – they can come back on you and your children and you won’t be able to do anything about it. Zambian people are interesting, when someone is alive they talk all sorts about him and the minute he dies he becomes a good person. I noticed this with a lot of bloggers with the issue of mwanawasa’s life and death. You see the same thing at zed funerals people will roll in the ground wailing and crying for a person they never liked. If you hated someone in life while switch and change and like them in death? We will al die and not all of us are good ,so just because you are saying nice things when someone’s gone doesn’t make them good. I will say the same whether dead or alive, Castro was an ill egotistical mannered chap who made a lot of innocent people shed tears. Even though I couldn’t stand him I sure hope he prayed and changed before it was too late.

Castro is and will be forever loved and deeply missed by those who new him personally. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend because his goodness far out weighed his badness. He was a victim of his own circumstances and anyone who was blessed to have known him before the accident knew that. After the accident he was like a blank page that people chose to fill with hate and contempt towards him. Girlfriends played their boyfriends on many levels to be with Castro. He never had to force a girl to do anything. As for the woman he shot, she was a thief. She tried to steal his wallet when he was passing out. He was drunk and fired a warning shot that went wrong. Thank God only HE can judge Castro now and haters may the world show you and your kin as much compassion as you have shown…

Castro was a trouble maker as far as 1992, when we were at Kabulonga boys. By 1994, when I was at Evelyn Hone, Castro was out of control. My point is the accident had nothing to do with Castro’s behavior, he already bad before the accident. Chiluba let him sparn out of control, he could break the law and get away with it. No matter what you say, Castro caused anguish to a lot of people. You say only God can judge, if he repented before he dead yes, if not, sorry he is burning in hell.

Don’t judge least you be judged.People only see what is on the outside and God sees what is on the inside. None of us can say for sure that this man didn’t turn to God…why do we always look at the short comings of other people and tear them down… many of us are so happy when our “enemies” fall but we should be helping them build a life on a firm foundation…yes he wronged a number of people while he was alive but we should be able to forgive and stop being holier than thou because to be honest none of us is perfect.
I would like to disagree with #40 KK’s kids were notorious and got away with it coz it was a well kept secret coz that time. We lived in a One Party State called UNIP and no one, I repeat no-one dare talk about KK, Betty or even his celebrated kids. One of his sons killed a man in the army in Kabwe over a woman. One of his daughter had a child with one of the ZNS corporal and the list goes on and on, but we shall mention just a few.
