Opposition PF happy with GRZ projects in southern province

THE opposition Patriotic Front in southern province is happy with government for embarking on developmental projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the people in the province.

PF provincial coordinator, Opper Hamiyanze, said in Choma today that the quick response by government to the needs of people in the area is a testimony that it is a ‘listening’ government.

He said it would be wrong to only criticize government on its shortcomings and not complement it when good projects meant for the well being of the public are being successfully implemented.

“It is important that we loosen a bit on criticizing government and give them time to complete projects they have stated,” he said.

Mr Hamiyanze said the PF is impressed with the quality of development projects being sponsored by government in the area.

He cited the tarrying of the Choma-Neiko road, which is expected to link the district to Namwala as well as the rehabilitation of the Monze-Neiko road.

Mr Hamiyanze said the Choma-Namwala road has always generated heated political debate due to unfulfilled promises by past governments.

Mr Hamiyanze also said works on the Zimba-Livingstone road are also encouraging.

He also expressed gratitude to government for listening to the cry of the people of southern province by lifting the livestock movement ban.

Mr Hamiyanze said the lifting of the ban has given the people an opportunity to raise income through the sale of their animals.

He said PF is now looking forward to the announcement of the maize floor price for this marketing season as the price will enable farmers sell their produce at competitive prices.

Mr Hamiyanze said the PF is impressed with the quality of development projects being sponsored by government in the area“, I am glad that the PF Tonga bull in Choma is bringing sense to PF. I will support him for PF president at its maybe forthcoming CONVENTION to elect its leaders since he has shown the level headedness that is required in a leader.

Otherwise, I am just surprised that he failed to recognise the input of the UPND MPs and Councillors who are actually in control of the projects bettering the southerners. __

  3. #1 and #2, I agree with you guys. This is a good development but may be it is just happening in Southern Province because even a UPND official was also commending GRZ. Limbi kuti mwalalako tondolo kunsele.

  4. It pays to have a Development Economist for President train shantters. MMD is a people’s working Party. With an educated Commander-in-chief, the country is to record unparralel development than the political hallucination of oppositions. Men at work not the fantasy of building Hospitals and Universities in every Chiefdom and every 100 km around the country within 90 days. The country is indeed better in the hands of MMD.

  5. Hhehheehe drop your tribal references. It is reassuring when the opposition is diverse and when needed applaud good work. Only when called upon do we speak against the government which in Zambia is everyday. Let’s intergrate as Zambia and enjoy the little progress. Sunday to Sunday thank the Lord and pray.

  6. The spirit of brotherhood that is being demonstrated by some of our leaders should be commended. It is only after vising places like somalia and the darfur tha you’ll realise chibululu chiwama. Lets mantain good relations among each other, We are all brothers and sister after all. I’m coming home letter this year to marry my childhood sweetheart and hopefully raise a family in that country.

  8. Giving credit to GRZ for good work is not a sign of weakness on the part of PF. If something is good the name is good not bad.
