Sata urged to reconcile with RB

Share

Information Deputy Minister, Elijah Muchima, has asked Patriotic Front Leader, Michael Sata, to reconcile with President, Rupiah Banda, in the manner he did with late President Mwanawasa.

Mr. Muchima says there is need for the PF leader to tone down his language when ever he is commenting on issues related to President Banda.

He says Mr. Sata’s reconciliation with President Banda will create unity in Zambia and enable the nation to move forward.

Mr. Muchima says the country is not benefiting from Mr. Sata’s unjustified attacks on President Banda.

He observed that despite the efforts of the president to fight corruption, Mr. Sata has continued to attack him, sometimes using insulting language.

Mr. Muchima called on all Zambians to support President Banda’s programmes, which are aimed at fighting corruption.

  1. Sata risks dying a bitter and miserable failure.Friction politics is taking him nowhere. MMD will never be in the opposition on his watch. As patriots we cannot afford to beat about the bush on what should be signature statement to take.In Malawi, Muluzi has swallowed his pride and seen a political cul-de-sac.Sata is just ruining young people now resigned to fanatasy and wishful thinking. He is heading nowhere under the sun.

  2. Sata is bitter and RB is inept, the two of them can bicker all they want, but they will not rule Zambia come 2011.

  3. They don’t owe each other anything, it’s politics not a damn reconciliation party. if sata reconciled with mwanawasa doesn’t mean he should do so with RB . UI bet sata doesn’t feel the same way he felt and respected mwanawasa towards RB.

  4. The He says Mr. Sata’s reconciliation with President Banda will create unity in Zambia and enable the nation to move forward is not making sense for Zambia is moving forward with or without the Undereducate’s reconciliation. However, this message is very cardinal for our people as Zambians.

As for Mr. Muchima called on all Zambians to support President Banda’s programmes, which are aimed at fighting corruption, just do what you can as MMD and forget about full support from all Zambians.

You will convince some of your maybe good work done in 2011 during the elections time.

  5. Such calls for reconciliations must go to hell. Reconciliation can only be entertained after these thugs works on their corruption and improves the economy, not what they are doing as they are daily looting our economy.

  6. PF cadres be advised that while Sata is wrecking down with anger, Jealous, bitterness and fantasy, the nation keeps taking him for a cariture entertaining them though in a quagmire hard to retrive oneself.Rational judgement is cognizant of the enduring fact that MMD has nothing to lose with these endless Sata hyperventillations. He should ask himself why for 8 years has kept sneefing power in vanity with no match on Plot 1 he desperately need. Mwanawasa he called cabbage and predicted his fall within 3 months of intensify malice and thuggery crusade rained for 6 years plus until heaven called him back.I believe MMD has nothing to lose as theirs is the mandate to serve the country than appease bitter failures.

  7. # 7 gc , you just hate Sata and want him to die a miserable bitter losser. Why don’t you take over his shoes and soldier on when you know he is heading nowhere?

  8. On a lighter note, the moment he reconciled , Levy died. i dont think Banda wants to take such ‘risks’.
Sata and RB , continue hating each other, it might just be beneficial to the nation.

  9. The idea of reconciliation is not a bad one but it only makes sense if both leaders pursue a common goal. After all, the facts are that at the time Mr. Sata reconciled with the late, he had just received a heart treatment in South Africa on the orders of the president.
You might expect some sort of sacrifice before reconciliation or at least wait for the cloud of unresolved cases which thickly hangs over RB to clear before the oppostion can extend a hand of friendship.

  10. I cant agree with you more No#11, near the time of renciliation, the spouces companies received K7 Billion and K4 bilion on the other end. Not good stuff for you and me, well cosmeticall ,yes. Good for the wives of the reconcilers who had received a cash injection.

  11. Let the opposition do what they have to do. RB should concentrate on fixing his government. You only swing when you are winning and this is not true on the part of RB.

  12. Health matters #13, this is Bandas surbodinate urging the opposition to reconcile with his boss. obviously if it were Given Lubinda speaking he would say banda should reconile with Sata. Not quite rocket science.

  13. Is Muchima sensing something nasty in the offing? Hoping that if they reconcile, it will be easy to deal?

  14. Is Muchima sensing something nasty in the offing? Hon.Muchima is a seasoned patriot who can tell that Sata with his hypeboles is heading nowhere and his time is indisputably up.He has no space to navigate. It is in his best interest to put in order his life in these last days of his career. There is nothing for him in 2011 and any loan contraction for camapign will be a reliability for his party.

  15. Muchima should be quiet. Satas job is to ensure that RB is on his toes and doing his job otherwise, RB will be vacationing in his presidency.

  16. Sata and LPM reconcilled wen MCS saw that LPM was working hard and had a heart for a “common man”.In short MCS had no grudge against LPM’s works and deeds. So if RB wants reconcilliation, first let him clean all the mess in ALL ministries& ALL govt depts….then maybe, maybe, maybe they can reconcille.

  17. WRONG HON MINISTER!!! Sata is a WITCH, he should not recincile with RB. Unless we need another bye Election which will usher in GK the VEEP as Presido for Zed. Do we need this just so soon after LPM(RIP) was be witched by MCS? No no no no no NO! Let MCS stay alone just like that with his thuggery, arrogance, f@@lishnes and id[ocy

  18. Sata is not the one calling for reconciliation, he doesnt need SHREK. Probably its the other way round! Sata & the PF will never reconcile with ‘looters of the treasury, looters of votes’. When the MMD govt starts behaving like real people, like they care for the majority of the poor, maybe PF can ton down. As long as they continue to buy Tetamalilos & Mobile hospitals via single sourcing-there is no need to reconcile with them. They r and will always remain-LOOTERS

  19. Why reconciling if there is no personal differences? Sata does not hate RB but He hates the falures that RB is showing the country.. Levy & Sata really differed on the personal basis so reconciliation was nevitable… Sata he is just doing his role of opposition and its better the way he is doing..no further comments ok??

  20. its very wrong for you # 25 to say Sata is a witch. just argue out your point instead of making unfounded allegations. unless you share the same broom stick ngamwaya mu field………… and yes, why cant it be the other way round? Rb reconciling with Sata? Umulwele wamumala e ulwa ne cibi…

  21. #25 like father like son, efyali nawiso, he could have taught you manners unfortunately he had nothing in his brains to transfer some sense into you and he later died, accidenterly you were brought up by your mum who had no say on you because of whatever you were smoking made you the way you are! can you please talk to your uncle if he is aroud to spare sometime for you and atleat teaches how to show respect torwards elders, otherwise am sorry you may die natural death.(unexplained death)

  22. Reconciliation must not just happen because someone says it should. People must have common ground. as it is now, Sata and RB have no common ground…well, maybe one: They both will not rule Zambia in 2011! As for the two reconciling…kaya!

  23. #34 Iwe Ka Moze. RB will be president in 2011. Trust me! I can put my house on it. Chances are in 2016 he will try and do a Chiluba considering he has not done two full terms. I feel sorry for you guys and your relative Hechi Hechi! He will be broke by the time RB winds down in 2021! Sorry batata but it`s real. You are not in dream land.

  24. It is not about reconciliation, its about talking issues. For sure Sata never talks issues, unfortunately, my one and only has joined in. HH, unlike Mazoka, seems to glorify Sata, hence taking to his ways. Remember Mazoka’s altenative budgets? his agricultural policies-which Levy tried to copy but failed to implement? etc. Lets bring issues in these politics, unfortunately, for some pipo, its a matter of life and death and not about service. As others have pointed out, sata’s only addition to Zambian politics is humour and comedy.

  25. #35 Kawambwa fimo fimo, as much as i admire your undying and endless love for RB, please dont forget that kuzankala 50+1 baba. When it goes to the wire Someone who holds that key will be required. Unless you dont know who that is, ask me and i’ll tell you. HH could be broke, yes, but remember unlike your RB he is using his own money, not Kapoko’s and the Ministry of Healths’!

  26. #39 Kawambwa, thats what am talking about! To achieve 50+1 means RB is out of the picture iwe. Do you even understand 50+1? We would rather something else than MMD!

  27. Moze I thought it meant the top two running again! If you look, your Hechi Hechi has always been far back. Do not forget it`s percentage. Still leaves MMD in charge.

  28. To reconcile in MMD terms one has to agree with their stand. On Mr Sata insulting RB, I dont agree since Mr Sata is only callong a spade a spade. And dont forget that MMD are daily trying to bar MCS from standind in 2011on account of some paper, so how can he eat with these people. Insults in Zambia have lost the real meaning since if one points out the short comings of the MMD, then you are insulting. If your father is brought on a wheel barrow drunk and you correct him is that an insult? Plunder is reached alarming propotions and people are not supposed to complain because that would mean insulting the president. As for HehE hEe what ever it means, we know your stand on Mr Sata.

  29. #41 Kawambwa Dude- The fear by the MMD is that the other oppostion parties could rally behind SATA in the run off unless MMD manages to buy them as they did last time. The key here would be UPND as the deciding broker. In short this constitution will not be really a nation one but an MMD paper

  30. Deja VU I am glad you are the only one to see this. But, to me, this 50 + 1 does not mean anything. It still leaves MMD and PF to slag it out. The end result will still be MMD wining.

  31. # Depends who wilin the support of the opposition that will come third largest. EG say RB gets 38%, Sata 36% HH 26%. Then there will be runoff between RB and Sata. It will be up to HH and the other minority parties to convince their supporters to vote one the 2. Since this is dicey situation, the MMD can not afford to “careless” as to allow this clause to pass. Chiluba did a similar thing on KK because he was not sure it was going to be easy to defeat KK so he had bar him completely.

  32. Deja Vu you think UPND cadres would vote for PF? Not a chance in this world. Naya mukubomba nomba. Nice toalking to you. Very sensible arguments you came up with not this Moze cadre.

  33. #47, kabombe fye iwe. Cadre niwebo. Come back when you have something sensible to talk about! And please when we say Talk, we mean just that; Talk. Not Toalk!!

  34. Those people who are urging sata 2 reconcile wit rb,thre a blind thy dont knw wat thy a talking about jst bcoz thry a corrupted lyk their leader.so thy shud shut their dirty mouths about da undefeated man, sata himself.

  35. If Sata reconcilled with RB what else will he politic about since Zambian politics is about pointing fingers and personalities.

  36. reconcilliation is cardinal for development and unity. who knows what happens tomorrow…the last heart problem MCS had is one example. Now, when you reconcile it does not mean you give up your principles and your standing. Also as humans we naturally want to be associated with people whose morals and values we commonly share, RB must first prove to be worth being associated with…it will come in naturally

  37. Sata is in opposition. I dont see why he should not point out the weaknesses of RB’s govt. That is his job. That does not mean he hates RB. That is how multi-party democracies are supposed to function. What Sata should not be doing is inciting people to violence but as for insulting the MMD he should not stop because to do so would be a dereliction of his duties.
