  1. 3 lousy pics suwa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Come on LT I wait all week for some good pictures of Zambia and all we get are 4 randon pics! Take some time to get some good pictures for us please.

  3. I wont join the league of nagging bloggers, I appreciate every photo from home. Just the sight of the bautiful climate under African skies brings me positive energy. Thanks LT!

  4. This is a little off-topic but I just came accross some amazing facts of recent reasearch at a German University which I thought of sharing with you:

It seems we were all black once (consistent with evolutionary fact of first humans in Africa). White skin was a result of humans moving away from the equator. Also all skin, without coloring, would appear creamy white. Near-surface blood vessels add a blush of red. A yellow pigment also tints the canvas. Lastly, sepia-toned melanin, created in response to ultraviolet rays, appears black in large amounts. These four hues mix in different proportions to create the skin colors of all the peoples of Earth.

  5. #10 It’s in the bible it’s called TZARAAT commonly mistranslated as leprosy in xtian bibles(namaan and gehazi in the book of skins changed skin colour. Muzungu’s are a mutation that used to be black africans before the migrated . They don’t have the melanin gene they are similar to albino’s. Muzungu’s know this very well but don’t like to address it

  6. CHALE, how come u’ re still black (ein neger) despite living so long away from the equator? There are white people living along the equator for donkey years … they have not turn to black! Give me a break.. dont belive everything written by humans, get ur facts right!

  7. OK, I can see that a whole load of new pictures has just come in. I wonder why LT held them back? They were probably awaiting moderation (lol). On a serious note:

Pic#1 Teta looks totally fit to me. I wonder what the problem is?

pic # 2 Is it boundless faith or sheer carelessness on the part of the Copperbelt Permanent Sec.? To visit a patient suffering from “a mysterious disease” without any mouth or nasal protection? Not even shirking from physical contact?

Pic #3 Is that Kavindele’s office? My little study in the basement is much bigger and more tidy than that!

#14 Shalapungu thanks for sharing the biblical references.

  8. #18 1984 according to my biblical exegesis, Noah’s Ark landed on Mount Ararat. Now you will probably ask me whether I know where this is situated? My answer being: most probably in the Northern tip of the African continent (modern day Libya or Egypt?) correct me if I’m wrong.

  9. #16 Black or White I am a Nubian, to correct you, but like I always say to the Germans: you can call me a “Neger” if you like because each time you do so, you only acknowledge the predominant gene of Blackness (melanin) in me. As for your other question as to why I do not mutate into lighter skin (like Michael Jackson did) despite staying so long away from the Equator, I would only explain it this way: since Black is the ultimate state of complexion, it is impossible to reverse it, unless by chemical manipulation. Naturally, however, you will observe that whites living in African tend to have a darker, healtheir tan than those in Europe.

  10. #21 1984 modern day Turkey, I presume?
Some final words of wisdom before I call it a day:

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. Change your thoughts, and you change your world.

  11. Lusaka Province Minister Charles Shawa Looks like Iddi Amin. Is he Zambian? Just check out Amin’s pic from Youtube then you will know what I am talking about.

Pic # 15. A football coach in a suit sure?

  12. #11 Making ends meet. What a combination of products. Mahaeu, Soft drinks,Brandy and eggs,Going by the picture that lady’s working capital is about 10 dollars.but if you ask me she is probably supporting a family of 5 from that same business. As if that is not sad enough she has to sell from the grave.

  13. # 2 That person is really sick evacuate her to RSA immediately, we all deserve equal treatment by Govt.Somebody gets diarrhea for over eating shrimps, you take them to RSA, someone has a serious illness you send a PS there just to score silly political mileage.

  14. I appreciate the photos of the week but I have a concern on the seemingly unnecessary typos under these pictures. I think the LT editorial staff should be more careful in their postings. Picture 4: Chingwere not Chigwere; Picture 6: Joe Imakando not Imakanda; Picture 8: Manda Hill not manda Hill; Picture 8: Zambia Sugar … not zambia Sugar! Otherwise cheers and have a great weekend.

  15. What happened to Lusaka Mayor and City Council??? Our capitol city needs focused leaders !!! whats happening in Lusaka is DISGRACEFUL

  16. Charles Shawa seems so happy to welcome former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo whilst the man is not even concerned.
What language was shawa using as Obasanjo did not seem to have understood the joke?
Its the problem of trying to be too familiar or is it lack of understanding public relations?

  17. Teteka too sad you are caught up with ifyakulila kubushiku. I think you know what you’ve been eating in the night. Too sad you’ll need leave no legacy of any kind.

  18. #24, i wish to bring to your attention the fact that Michael Jackson had a disease called vitiligo, and pls do not make funny of that…..

  19. Some of these ministers are rushed to RSA because they have aids.Yhey don’t want their records to be accessed at UTH. GRZ, take the sick family to RSA. Shame on you MMD leaders.

  20. LT pliz learn to put your pictures in order and send pictures that make sense, for one week this is not worth showing us.

  21. The picture showing bother Ben Teta is worrysome. The man was not his self. Wish him quick recovery. He looks like economy yina picking. Was he involved su much in Solwezi Kimabanga life style.

  22. Teta is a moving coffin he should not be in office he cant be productive looking like that. Kavindele get your office in order. No CEO has an office littered with paper like that. What happened to e-office? For crying out loud how can you coach a team in a suit? That shoprite chick is not bad, if only she could open her eyes

  23. Kambongolo, mwandi mwana I saw the embarassing photo of Mr sichilima mu fighting stance. There were 3 of them. Two in some seizing up style then the 3rd one in actual contact. Shamefully, the Minister was punched in the face and fell down. His camera dropped and the specs too. Wat an embarassement. Pic 11, guys wat you see hanging from the cooler are wat Zedians call ‘utufyanta’ They actually spirits produced locally. So for one to gather the courage of weeping pakushika kunwamo ka satchet kulya kwine ku grave yard. Good initiative for those women. They are so cheapi,ni pini chabe ninshi wasova.

  24. Could you kindly enlarge the text beneath the pictures? My eyes are beginning to hurt for all the squinting, trying to figure out what they’re about.

  25. Dear LT,Thank you for the pics but can you please do something about the captions. All Proper nouns must be capitalised i.e names of people, places, title and so on.Spell check can also be useful.Journalism 101.mwalikwi?
