Encourage Someone to Dream

Share

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘… I will bless you … and you will be a blessing to others.'”
(Genesis 12:1-2, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Have you ever worked toward a dream, but felt worn out by the uphill climb? At times like this, you need encouragement–someone to remind you about what it will be like when you get to the finish line. God created us to need each other. You may be facing challenges that you can’t overcome on your own; having a friend to walk with you in love can get you through those times. In the same way, you have something to share with others to help them along their journey. God has blessed your life in times of need, and He loves it when you turn that around and start to bless others. You can encourage others in their dreams and cheer them on as they go. When you believe in people, it gives their faith a boost. Your love and acts of kindness may be just what they needed to push on to victory.

Encourage someone today. Share in the dreams God has given them. As you seek to love and bless others, you will start to notice others encouraging you. Be grateful for the people God has put in your life. Praise Him for the help He supplies when you need it most and for opportunities He gives you to share in the successes of people around you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

“Heavenly Father, thank You for the people who are there to love and support me. Make me aware of opportunities to bless and encourage others. Help me to reflect Your love in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen”

  1. US President Barack Obama has said he will end the ban on gay people serving openly in the military.
Mr Obama was addressing thousands of gay and lesbian people at a fundraising dinner in the US capital.
He said the US had made progress on gay rights and would make more.
On the military issue he said the US could not afford to lose those people who had much needed skills for fighting.

  2. Alwatys quote verses in full rather than summarize and twist it into something it does not say. Genesis 1:2 says fully “YHWH Elohim had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.
2 “I will make you into a great nation
    and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing” . It does not talk about dreams or encouraging others to dream it talks about the blessings Abraham and the nation of Israel covenant keepers and anyone that blesses them will get. Where you got this rubbish of telling people to dream only you know but definately not from that verse

  3. Pastor Benny Hinn is being investigated by the Senate Finance Committee about his lavish lifestyle and accusations that his faith healings are fake because he offers no documentation or verification that he has, in fact, helped the blind see and the crippled walk.Last week Hinn was denied entry into the United Kingdom for a three-day rally at which, according to his Web site, thousands of evangelical Christians planned to hear him.
The committee is investigating whether the ministries are using their tax-exempt status to further God’s work — or to fund luxuries like mansions, expensive cars and private jets.Questions loom about Hinn’s lavish lifestyle and his private plane, which he says his ministry owns.

  4. Slumdog Shalaz are you black by any chance or you have roots in the middle east; maybe Asia? Just my innocent curiosity?

  5. this is all a smoke screen to make money of poor helpless people who clutch at straws to have a more meaningful lives while the elite zoom around in their business jets and create and illusion that everybody can do that if they work hard.work until you burn yourself up mentally and phyisically  the dice are loaded my friends in this crapshoot .ask this chap joel if he flies regular airline or he has his own business jet from peddling this junk every sunday

  6. Be not wise in your own eyes, learn to humble yourself and listen to the words of wisdom. For the righteous man shall live by faith.

  7. Slumdog Shalaz and all the anti-men of God, please be VERY VERY careful what you say about the anointed men of God, you might bring curses upon yourselves. I really thank God that in His mercy He has given us the Choice TO or NOT to believe in Him. He is not a dictator, or else He would have slaid all of us for our careless words.
So please put up or shut up!!!!!
Slumdog you even misquoated the verse, its genesis 12:1 not 1:2

  8. Annonymous

Very developed nations which have the interests of their citizens at the very core of their governance protect their citizens from any form of deception and therefore scrutinise every activity people expected to be allowed into their countries are involved in.

So for some characters to have been locked out of the UK, it speaks volumes, because no clean person is ever refused entry especially when they receive millions of dollars every year

  9. Ba Kwathukummawa!

I appreciate your views, of course every nation should have interests of its citizens at the very core including christian issues. Sometimes though its a shame that the more developed a nation is, the further away from God they are.
Benn Hinn was denied entry to britain simply because Britain has tightened its immigration laws for everybody and Benn was no exception. Benn did not obtain the letter of invitation from the church that invited him to britain. (which i’m sure was just an oversight from the Hinn team). The truth is all written in the newspapers. He is not a criminal, he is a preacher!

  10. I pray for all, on this thread and my beloved Country and continent. We started and made the foundation of civilisation, lets bring it back to ourselves.

  11. True, I don’t see an iota of a dream in the scripture quoted by the online Pastor. There is a plethora of verses that the man of God could have used in support of his e-sermon. At #2, you sound like a chitawala to me with your quote of the ‘names of God’. Good work tho mubale!

    1. The influence of Curses and good luck should be best be left for those in poverty stricken, underdeveloped third world countries who can not, up to date, link hard work with success and shoddy work with failure. If your “MEN OF GOD” have power to curse, let them curse those who are scrutinising their activities and those denying them an opportunity to visit their flock.

    2. Most Preachers receive money from their members on the pretext of using it to further the word of God. But most of this money ends up in the Preacher’s belly and Bank Account, making them stinking Rich. They start driving flashy cars, build mansions and buy private planes.

ARE THE PREACHERS BELLIES AND BANK ACCOUNTS GODS WORK?? TO ME ITS CLEAR DECEPTION WITH CRIMINAL INTENT
